alright guys what's up today let's talk products today I am here at the shop I'm kind of getting my truck completely organized for the week and I actually had one of you guys reach out to me and was like hey can you make a just a general like all the products in your truck can video so that's exactly what I'm gonna do today I'm gonna kind of show you guys my kind of setup and how I do things and I'm just gonna like kind of vlog style go through my truck and just show you kind of what's in my toolboxes and hopefully you guys that y'all just get a general idea of like all the products you're gonna need to do boat detailing and also just like all just little odds and in things that I have so this might be a kind of a long video but if you watch it all the way through to the very end I think you're gonna get a ton of information probably more information than you actually want or need but this is going to be kind of just an overview of like everything that I have in my truck I'm gonna go over pressure washers my machines extension cords and just kind of give you guys just all the information that I have like always if you get any value out of this please hit that like button alright so quick disclaimer okay my truck is not the cleanest nicest truck in the world please don't judge me first of all if you see much my bed is like kind of dirty it's a work truck you know I kind of make fun of the Detailers I have like pristine trucks and pristine work vehicles because it's like dude if you're if you're not busy enough where you're cleaning your stuff all the time you know it's like what are you doing what are you doing with your life please do not comment down below bye bro your truck sir do you own a detailing company because I get that comment all the time okay so it's thing in the book so please just say save yourself some time and just you know just keep your negative words to yourself let's go ahead and hop right into this first thing on the list had a few guys reach out to me and ask you know hey what pressure washer I do do I use another one was is it even safe to use on though there's a lot of information out there that says you know pressure washers are not safe on boats and that you shouldn't use them and pressure washers are not safe necessarily on anything okay you can destroy anything with a pressure washer if you get too close to it and you put that beam right on a seat and you pull that trigger yeah you're probably gonna poke a hole in it use your use your brain a little bit you know anything it's just like anything in life I feel like people are lacking common sense nowadays so use a little bit of common sense when it comes to pressure washers okay so yes could it damage a boat yes it could but it could also damage your face if you put your face into it okay I actually buy this pressure washer at Walmart and the reason why I like this pressure washer so much is one because of the price it cost about two hundred and fifty bucks all right now on the grand scheme of things when it comes to pressure washers 250 dollars is actually pretty dang cheap you can buy like a de Waal for like five hundred the only reason why I don't like those is one because it's obviously more expensive to they're gonna break so the water pumps on these pressure washers go out like all the time okay so when it does break you either one have to buy the part to fix it or you have to pay someone to fix it either way you have to spend money these parts are not cheap either you know he'll spend 80 50 hundred bucks on on a water pump even 200 bucks on a water pump when you can just go buy a brand new one okay so am I saying this pressure washer from Walmart is the best pressure washer out there absolutely not okay these will break as long as you keep the oil change on these they last pretty good I usually go through about one a year you know just just being honest so the reason a big reason why I do like this one and keep buying it is because it's super small and it's pretty light and it's gas-powered so whenever I'm at marinas and stuff you know I can just throw this sucker on my back and walk it out or put in a little cart you know some of those other more expensive maybe nicer quality pressure washers they're super heavy super bulky and I just like to keep things light and simple and like I said guys if this sucker goes out and breaks it's only 250 bucks so just go buy you a new one the reason why you want a pressure washer pressure washer is gonna do two things okay it's gonna allow you to get in hard-to-reach places so you don't have to use your fingers to like scrub stuff it'll allow you to blast inside of compartments without having to get all in there with the water hose and it will definitely allow you to use a foam cannon which is what I use a lot especially on like cars RVs and boats as well and it just helps to have that extra pressure to just push the the soap away push the dirt away you know guys it's just kind of great to have do you absolutely need a pressure washer to start up detailing business no but it is definitely really good to have so if you could find it in your budget go to Walmart pick this sucker up for 250 bucks I usually buy an extra 25 foot hose so it comes this pressure washer comes with a 25 foot hose but I like to buy an extra 25 foot connection and then as you can see right here just put the little connector on here I think I buy this at Home Depot for like five bucks and you can connect them the longer the hose the better that way you don't obviously have to move the pressure washer around every time you want to use it all right so let's check out the tool box right here this is just a Dewalt tool box pretty sure I got it at got it at like Home Depot or something so I have alcohol right here this is like super good for removing oils waxes residues from when I'm doing like heavy heavy corrections stuff's pretty cheap you just buy it at like CVS Walgreens I buy it in bulk I usually go in there and just kind of like sell them out on everything we got our foam cannon right here guys do not go and buy like a chemical guys version for like 80 or 90 bucks okay I'll link the the one that I'm using right here down below it's literally like a generic Chinese version it works really good and I think it's like 20 bucks versus the chemical guys one which is like I think 85 or something foam cannon for obviously just putting on you know and washing that kind of thing if you don't know what a foam cannon is you tube it I might make a video in the future but you know there's other information out there you could find what a foam cannon is we got the Eco shine enhancer this product is super awesome it's basically a spray wax I mean i GL would probably crucify me if I call this a spray wax but I usually use this like inside of compartments you know just kind of spruce it up mainly on maintenance details like if I'm doing like a you know just kind of a wash and I want to kind of wipe down some watermarks and stuff on - like on the center consoles and you know even seat cushions compartments just kind of cleaning up this is just a basic all-around good cleaner I really like the company igl I use their ceramic coating as well all great product just to kind of have you know it's not a necessity that absolutely need it but it is also a great product to have when you do need it let's see if we got or Pyne all right or Pine wash and wax soap all right now a lot of you guys will ask me like hey you know what soap do I use on a boat I use or pond wash and wax soap really only in one case okay and that case is when I want to preserve the wax on the boat what does that mean if I'm washing a boat that I've waxed probably a week or two ago and I'm there on a maintenance detail and I don't want to strip the wax off I'm going to use or Pine wash and wax this soap in my opinion is the best soap it's a little pricey but it's the best soap in my opinion to remove like dirt and remove like black streak marks on these big sport fissures without actually like ripping off your wax all right when a when a soap says wash and wax it doesn't necessarily mean that it's gonna wax it they all claim that it does I've never like used the soap in wash and wax and been like whoa it waxed it really what it does is it's ensuring you that it's not going to take off the wax on your boat if you use joy or dawn I think I picked this up at a gas station because I ran out of dawn so you know I usually use Dawn dishwashing soap but this will also work as well and joy and Dawn is going to rip off any wax that you have so I will use dawn and a lot of my videos when I want to remove any old waxes and the old sealants any old stuff like that I will remove it with Dawn dishwashing soap so I can apply my sealant or apply my wax but if I want to preserve the wax that's on it I use wash and wax so this soap is super good for you know maintenance details washing the boat whenever you want to wash it just to get it clean and not take off the wax and then joy dawn Ajax would be really good for when you want to rip the wax off just start off on a fresh surface so let's move on all right Jess car here Jess car y'all seen this in pretty much all of my videos I love this product it is a sealant it is not a wax it is a sealant so it's gonna seal off the surface this particular product with Jess car you can actually use this product on boats you can use it on cars you can use it on Arby's so this is a great product to have like if you are a detailer and you own a detailing company buy products that you can use on all applications all right I actually just today had a phone call with a detailer that you know I kind of helped out and he was like man I ran out of like interior cleaner for cars you know and I'm like dude stick to a product line that you can use on cars you can use on boats you can use on RVs you can use on motorcycles that way you're not buying like ten hundred different products all right buy the products that you need that will work for everything all right that way you're not spending a ton of money on products that's why I like have a that's why I don't like like Chemical Guys because they sell products for like every freaking thing and really one product could do like 15 but they sell one product for these 15 different things and it's like it's just unnecessary guys don't waste a lot of money keep it frickin simple and you know by yourself products that can go along the way enough of my rant as well Jess car sealant really really good product for the money you know this product it goes on super easy it comes off super easy and like I said the best thing about it is you can do it on boats you can do it on cars you can do it on all the application put it on let it sit for 30 minutes and then take it off moving on Maki's 37 hydro blue coating guys this is kind of quickly becoming my new favorite products this product man it is super super simple all right spray it on you rinse it off and then you drive the surface and that's it one thing I am loving this product for is for non-skid all right I've been trying to search for a product to protect non-skid for a very long time and there's products out there like woody wax which is a really good product that I definitely recommend as well and we'll probably come across that coming up soon here but woody wax man it is an awesome product for doing like metal and wires but this product I find has been freaking awesome on non-skid alright so all you do is like at the very end of your detail when you scrub the floors and you get them completely clean all you just spray this product on like on the flooring and you know you can maybe give it a quick brush just to spread it around and then you rinse it off and that's it and then dude the water beads like off your non-skid like crazy and it's protecting and it's actually holding up if you want a really good way to protect non-skid and go for it by it most of these products are linked down below so let's go alright so the next product on our list is going to be never dull alright this product is super cool because it's not like the product that you're gonna use all day every day but this product is awesome to have when you need it it's like cotton or or wool I don't freaking know what it is honestly when you need to use it you just rip off a piece and just use it it's super good for like removing like like light watermarks or like light oxidation even rust marks because it's slightly abrasive but it's not enough to like scratch the metal or anything like that and then if there's like just little annoying like little rust marks or little like watermarks and you just want to brighten the surface up pretty easily you just hit it with some of this I think it's like 15 bucks for this whole container and this product is kind of one of those products that just kind of sits in my tool box and I only break it out a few times a year but when I when I need it it is freaking awesome when you need alright so this product too kind of goes with it this is kind of like my go-to metal polish I really like this product I will say in the last couple years it's like they watered it down which is kind of disappointing but it is also still a good product so you just put it on a microfiber rag this protect and clean up any metal stainless steel anything like that and you can also use this on machines to really get a nice metal polish on it so if you need it it's zephyr pro 40 alright guys so next product is super cool to have is MSR by our tech I hope I can find the link for this stuff this is specifically good for one thing and that's removing watermarks off of glass this is a mild acid that you rub on the glass and this is going to remove off hard water marks that are on glass and leave the surface completely smooth so one you can either repro TechEd it with like a ceramic coating or you can you know use a glass protectant or coating but this is going to be the ultimate product for removing like hard watermarks on glass so other than that pretty much what's left it's just like my squeeze bottles I just use like basic squeeze bottles for my compounds I use like marine 1,000 like you've seen in my other videos or like Ardex super 600 so I mean nothing super fancy with like squeeze bottles this is stark pretty good stuff I don't really buy stock because their products are a little overpriced in my opinion they're pretty good like there are really good products but they're a little pricey in my opinion so and other than that I mean that's pretty much it I mean I have some other stuff but just nothing even really share with you guys about let's talk about bleach man oh man oh man this is the biggest controversial thing and boat detailing or boat world or whatever is when do I use bleach on a boat guys don't be afraid to use bleach on a boat all right let me kind of break it down for you at least to the best of my knowledge all right bleach is really bad for boats when you use it all day every day and then you don't reap renée's bleach bad for a boat bleach is horrible for a boat if that's the only thing you wash your boat with so if I have a brand new boat and I go out there and I scrub it down with bleach rinse it off go use it come back rinse it off a bleach scrub it down and I'm never waxing it I'm never using other cleaners I'll never use any of protectants bleach is going to absolutely destroy your boat what bleach does is it strips off everything it cleans really good it strips it off and then it actually leaves like a like a mild residue behind and when the Sun hits that it literally bakes into your gel coat and it itches it all right so that's why if you bleach a boat it'll look good and then it starts to get super chalky over time and that's because of the bleach man the bleach is going to destroy anything that it touches it's going to destroy it you may ask yourself when is bleach ever a good thing bleach is great for mold and mildew and that's it that's the only time you need to break out bleach on a boat detail sometimes you'll pull up to a boat and it'll be completely filled with mold I'm gonna hit it with bleach to clean it and then I'm gonna re wash it down with like a dawn and then I'm going to wax it now that is not going to destroy your boat couple things you want to watch out for when you're using bleach though is you want to make sure you don't go any over any colored fabric because it will die it just like your clothing like most of my clothes have bleach stains on them it will it will discolor fabric so any like cloth material just stay away from it don't use bleach on it but all your vinyl seats you can use bleach but every time and listen to me listen every time you use bleach and neutralize it with Dawn and water and then repro TechEd the surface okay if you don't repress are going to destroy that surface all right so make sure it fits on seats you clean it off with a little dawn afterwards and then you put like a vault like a vinyl cleaner or like some type of coating back on the seat or if you're using on it on a boat or in gel coat make sure you wipe it off with dawn clean it off again and then re wax the surface all right let's go top hop into the big tool box so as you can see I have my small tool box for just kind of like my bottles and products and stuff and then I have my big tote for everything else so in here as you can see I have my jeans my extension cords and then my bike my big bottles of stuff so let's go ahead and look inside the big toolbox here first things first is my gallon of Manzano 400 alright I use this product a lot you can pretty much find that in all of my videos this product is specifically for polishing out like swirl marks or finishing alright it is technically a heavy cutting compound for cars but it works more like a polish on boats one thing you'll notice guys is car products okay boat products are worded a little differently but car products anytime you use a car product on a boat anything that says heavy cut for a car it's typically going to be more of a medium cut polish on a boat alright and that's because gel coat is just a different material so the polishes work a little different so this says heavy cut compound but it really acts more like a medium cut polish on a boat this right here is a gallon of liquid marine 1000 IU 'zed this a lot to follow up like right before this product this is kind of a medium cut compound and that's pretty true this is a really good medium cut compound that I use I don't know if you could find this product online but Ardex guys is an amazing amazing product but it's typically only sold by local distributors so see if you have an Ardex dealer near you which you probably do and and get some Ardex guys this whole gallon I think cost me like 40 bucks alright so that's why using like Ardex or wholesale pricing on on products it's always a good idea because this right here is not wholesale this i think i pay like 140 bucks for this this forty bucks the same amount alright so that's how man you could save so much money by going to our decks and getting the marine 1000 and the super 600 compound which is what I have here this bottles a little tore up obviously but this is the super 600 I do have a link for this down below I know I do and guys this is a heavy heavy cut compound so if you have a lot of oxidation and you need to really cut this is going to be your product next thing is the rotary buffer I have this in another video I'll link right here with when I go over my machines but this is an absolute must-have you have to have a Makita rotary buffer does the griot garage da you've seen this in all my videos I'm not going to go over this if you want to see it another video just check out my other videos I've got my flex 3401 vrg again have it in other videos go check those out this acetone is a product that you want to keep on you so this product guys I use this a ton for pretty much one specific reason and that's if you ever come across a boat that has like paint transfer or rubber dock transfer on the side of it all you need to do is take a white terry cloth rag put some acetone on it it literally wipes right off it will save you a ton of time and it'll make your life way easier now acetone is gonna strip off anything that you touch it you wipe this out of your boat you always always always have to follow up with wax whenever you're done I keep this little guy in here this is my my flexp exeat I think it's called this is a super cool machine it has a one inch vacuum plate all the way up to a three inch backing plate it's battery-powered this little thing is freakin awesome for getting around like little center consoles and do a metal it's inside of here guys just got my extension cords get some 100 footer extension cords that's gonna make your life easier because if you don't need it then and you just keep it twirled up but when you do need it it's nice to just have those extra extension cords i buy this brush from my local distributor it's probably just a basic Chinese brush it's a super soft bristle so it won't really scratch any surfaces I actually buy this pole from Home Depot it's super cool it's in the painting section of Home Depot but you can extend it out super far so you see how like nice and handy that would definitely come in when you're trying to do like big sport Fisher's or even like RVs or something it's nice just to have that extra extension rod I try to stay away from sure hold sure hold they make decent products but they're very expensive because they're catered towards boats so just go to Home Depot go in the painting section and get you this I don't really know the brand I'm sorry but literally it looks just like this it's in Home Depot in the painting section alright let's keep going and move on right here I keep this husky box right here I keep all my sandpaper in here you know I'll go over sandpaper a little later it's kind of uh not really necessary unless you guys are doing wet sanding jobs but I love the brand murca I'll leave a link right here to a video where I kind of go over my sandpaper purple power all right this product guys I know a lot of people kind of kind of hate on me sometimes when I endorse purple power cuz it's kind of a cheap degreaser but that's the reason why I like it because it is a cheap degreaser you don't need anything super industrial you don't need anything crazy heavy and it's cheap you go to Walmart it's like twenty two bucks for a five-gallon bucket of it I use this product mainly on like cleaning the floors when I'm done with the boat before I protect it with the sio2 coating I use this product to scrub down seats I use it to scrub down compartments you can use it on the interior of cars you can use it on on doing the wheels like it for your clean and rims on a car so it's a versatile product is it the best product out there no okay there are better products out there but this particular product it's super cheap and you can buy it at Walmart in it's simple guys and what I find is because it's not overly powered you won't really destroy stuff or scar things so be careful whenever you're using any product but especially degreasers because it can scar stuff but just use your use your brain you know use this thing up here and keep the surface wet and wash it it's great for floors it's great for compartments it's great for seat cushions mat use that with Magic Erasers on seats and it's gonna change your game on vinyl seats on boats use Magic Erasers and purple power and it's going to change your game bought some pads just recently these are the grey heavy cut force rotation pads from Lake country this product right here guys rust aid this is the best product that I have found in the cheapest to remove the orange like scum line under boats so if you have like orange underneath the boat like the iron stain you just put that product in a pump sprayer you spray it on and literally rinse it off in all that orange just melts right off it's crazy you'll spray it on with a pump sprayer and literally you can watch it turn white right before your eyes sometimes you'll have to take rushon kind of agitated if there's like you know little really you know just algae and stuff kind of baked under under underneath the hold of the boat but for the most part just put that stuff straight don't dilute it at all just put it straight into a pump sprayer spray it on the bottom of the boat let it sit for about a minute and then just rinse it off this product is an acid so you know you use your brain again if you need a mask put a mask on if you need gloves put a glove on because it is an acid all right so let's check it out we got our towels guys I don't get too crazy with like microfibers you know my wife does all my towels for me I love her for that you know I just have a little laundry basket back here with some towels got my waterproof boots from when I'm washing boats that way my feet don't get wet it's right here what some pads in it I kind of keep my pads in there this is a brand new box I had my entire box of pads my entire box probably $300 worth of pads fly out the back of my truck the other day and literally don't know where it went all right guys so last but not least is going to be the shop back here this is the the rigid four gallon 5.0 from Home Depot I buy this one just right at Home Depot man this machine is great one because it's small and two because it's powerful it's actually a really powerful little shop back for the size and when it comes to detailing and when you're constantly moving or walking across marinas you need small and you need powerful and that's exactly what that one is so it's the rigid one from Home Depot the little here you can look at it it's a little 5.0 5.0 4 gallon also got some water hoses these are just basic green water hoses I kind of hate them but it's what I got this is kind of like my junk toolbox I hate to say that but I just keep kind of odd and in saying some some you know some extension cords that I don't actually probably ever use I keep my shot back my my gas tank back there anyway guys that's pretty much it in a nutshell I know I said a lot I know I rambled I know you know you've probably got more information than you ever wanted but guys I wanted to just make this video one because I'm here at the shop kind of organizing my truck into I just feel like it would be helpful for you guys
