hmm and we're life and we're live your life yeah tonight yes real time real time hello everyone live from the blender Institute this is the first live stream we do here the blender developers Channel and we happen to have a developer would you please everyone I'm Tom ocean down the chairman of blender foundation original developer of blunder I'm running now the blender Institute and the animation studio in order to skyrocket blender to the future in action yes skyrocket what does he have to do with rock I don't know what could it happened coincidentally I think some kinda studio way to desire other school rockets yeah everybody loves rockets but we wanted to wait for Ilan to chantix rocket up because if that thing would explode we would have picked a different theme I think thank you along Thank You Alan so we decided to make this live stream just to clear any questions that were left on the on the cold quest this this new campaign that is launched by the blender is the first time right after the first crowdfunding that happened 16 years ago to make blender open-source then since there was no funding for actually making blender like the word for open movies in 2010 eight years ago there was saintil which was an open movie to get 2.5 out of beta out of alpha even so no it's a good question I didn't realize that he's a very first time so that I never thought we could do a campaign like 2002 again that was so massive I thought about you cannot do that every year that's too much and the open movie concept worked out fantastic because people really like to support those little projects and got a little firm and intangible and it appeared clearly to have Lander forward but for this star itself a 2.8 and we wanted to connect it to spring at the current when movie we are making here but also that is not working fast enough either one or two developers in the studio can work on it but 2.8 is massive yes really big we already have on line 8 people working full-time 8 people are working on land therefore in all the some places and you can see online without discussing on things when there are architectural discussions it's complicated it's really complicated and we got the light working for one year remember yes we spent so many hours on architectural review we're making diagrams and looking at the structure to really figure out if we are doing the best if it's really going to work well but that I had to go back to Brazil socialize you know yeah actually yeah like I miss the the focus and the speed of worker and what you can do if you put people together yeah February I thought if we move on with this Pete coupon it will take another year at least so it's best to do something to split it up and what would be better and hasn't everybody all the full-time developers coming to Amsterdam for not for a week or for the workshop but for a month because it will take a month to get over everything but for three months at least at least put them on a target you got 2.8 darn they summer specifically I want it to be released at SIGGRAPH in Vancouver in August what do you mean by released a usable version something you can use not action maybe but it might not for production tool because we won't use it here in the studio yeah so the the guys are working on spring Josefa yellow one ever before suffered and they already suffer right there now they call it the blender open movie experience I have to suffer but what they do is similar to what Oh blondie you have to suffer - yeah they suffer a bad software and then we can better suffer first ourselves gets all the stuff before you make everybody else suffer yeah because especially at the very beginning many of the things are so basic in a way that like why making everybody suffer so that way we did it I remember for Syntel 2.5 all the tools from 2.5 2.4 had to report it over to power on each of them one by one yes so you missing like there's thousands of tools around it yeah then you had only like half of them yeah and this one yeah the ones you probably need and so having gamble especially camera here Campbell especially having here interact yeah I was Gordon you were coding so it was three developers here every day it was it was amazing because I remember not even like unwrap West there so it's like can you Adam okay so it was really basic stuff so having people here so how is how digital studies these little supinate code quest why is it a quest the first thing I always do if we start a project is left to get a name a name without a good name I don't want to do a project yeah so we were looking at a tech swing things twing twing but that was all too much complicated yeah and it's not a sprint aspirant it's over two or three days or a week developers together it's more like a big thing and as usual we do say nice nobody out state before so we are going to call this a code quest not a sprint is the quest has to abduct all the core developers as an option project put them in one place together and give them a big task which is really big enough for them to work a couple of months I was curious how far they will get but I know that the architecture is mostly finished there are some details a lot of details that are unclear often the side we have to get them together but the core of 2.8 I think is there but as usual as we push that as the last 10% is 10 times more work than the first 90% so it's always the last bit the last bits will be the difference between a theoretical design with could walk and software you can actively use chef with that yeah and that part had to make it really usable testing in production and if it will artists I make sure that people will be happy to use it every day yes because blender 2.0 in development is already happening for over two years right we start at the 2016 I think so this is why it's important to bring everyone together and finish this once and for all yeah plus I also want to to get more excitement for all the other aspects of the product and we have easy this is mind blowing everybody yes we have of course squeeze pencil a little bit less now but in the animation world I was at the conference two days in Brussels animation convention a festival and if you show them the grease pencil damage they everybody's like oh my god one each dish has never seen this and this will help our workflow so much we can cut this 3d integrated to the Western environment so those two things are important but there are many more things corner behind the scenes that somebody coding the dependency graph and only not what is it what is why never doing it at the Russia initiative with a why am I doing this comes in for cuts but it's basically the animation system the dependency graph means you have a property that update animation and you want the changes everything that's related to it to update correctly and as fast as poss that means multi-threaded Raja means sometimes you have to copy data and then apply it in a smart way because your viewport might show something else than the handle yeah a good example is people who are using cycles with her if you have hair on a higher detail less water in the fuel port when you render things then they have disappears in the viewport or you cannot even have too few ports in render the different settings like for real-time playback one window on the end of the show she open see how how it would look like rendered or having a viewport with psychos updating hitting a certain reasonable and equality which system from them but you want to have a family so all those render qualities to manage that is what dependency class restore but it would also solve the problem that you can have multiple characters have a character the same rate but multiple actions for example that example a problem I've been having Alois solved to get all the proxy example and one super exciting feature will be that every window land as of two monitors you can put two separate windows there we can give every window a complete different time yeah so you can have the same scene or to the machines within the same data a different place sometimes to the graph one window with the animation playing then another one of the key frames and the still pouch and you move the post around you can do things and the animation will update magic so I haven't seen that because that sure maybe it works in dating a big shot I don't know well see when you go get that work within week we didn't wait a bit maybe it already rocks but it doesn't show it Wow so we have we have Evie we have we say we have a be responsive to the animation we have dependency graph so awesome for years yes it's also very hidden but man if you know about it I think he likes that a little bit don't want people to breathe their neck shoulders arm but it's about time to start really bothering him because this asset system have to get used and it has to lead to really nice interfaces yeah one of the things people find blender a little bit difficult to use em is that we don't have a good way to push and appreciate other software cinema4d substance painter the time programs you start them up and you get this really nice to use with list of materials and textures range you click on them you drag and drop to edit and that makes it pleasant to use not only for the user so that you can quickly understand Scotian but for people have to work every day on unwrapping a texture or on shake in other modeling it's important to have your interface that one you're making making a simple glass trailer or a simple Touche there have presets for leather making your own that's very important especially if you're working like a big production you have characters that I already set up or even have a character with variations for example so that is very emotional I believe is a good example of asset but you also have external files a lot as the asset manager has to make sure that external files are accessible and that you can set up approaches and say okay guys we're going to lose these textures and these shaders and these morals and so you make a number of standard look sliders as assets or lighting and lighting setups you can make everything an asset and then you can import them in your project without having to worry about all the linking of what we like having an unlimited custom set of primitives that's what models say this everything no groups forever so that's not before number four is of course the holes you collections and render and the Blandin layer system has been kicked out or replaced by modern system people at first said I want this layers and then what why can't I give them a name that's that's how I started yeah you won't have a named layer okay but there are more things you want to do with layers and if you study how modern 3d tools that are working with layers it is more with the later you group right how something is being displayed interesting so layer is such a few surrendering or part of the compositor a layer is a view on your dataset I have seen and share like a layer and layer is the representation of what is missing and it can be different touch of one scene can create multiple pictures and the issues are composite similar we have now a blended totally integrated all the few ports have layers you can have many layers as you want and after the layer is a way to look at your scene and that can be anything it can also be like I want to look at this scene as in violence or I want to look at it as an evil you ought to look at it Asha also say I want to have collections as a new concept yeah groups of objects they can be automatic loops like all the lamps you can manually collect productions and say well in this layer all we want to have collections a billion see and in order layer I want to have collections de it will help you organizing your work I just workflow related but it also helps you organize awesome so I think we cover most of the the big things collections animation to the animation Evie Rama one more is the configuration and 101-101 brushing so the last thing is the workspace in London but also there is a concept of application manager it's what candle is working on and the application manager means that you can define how you are blended to start and it can be the template file you can define okay our planet to start but it's configures itself completely how I want it to be yeah let's also be with the whole Riley out but you can also go through all key maps but you can even that's what we still have to work on to complete to hide 99.9% of the whole UI and simply stop render only with two feet it's interesting for people who want to make their own editors for example or people want to optimize blender for their own tasks and of course people who like to for the printing would like to get to aiming yeah for teaching especially teaching a very very beginning even like 40 year old six year old there they already know how to play with the phone so if I could be a blender to with five buttons to make cubes and colors that I want to I want to work with the trainers do to make and design a test for the simplest we the interfaces you can think of that will make it fun for kids to play with should I take and I learned the concept of 3d looking around and navigating yeah so for example it could be a simple us to have a little UI with pictures of little models and you drag them into the 3d window physics is armed so they will drop on the floor and that's where they are that's it so just lop another second thing I think okay well maybe you can click on one and they will become octaves with a little manipulator thing on it and you can move them around but physics can keep playing that's it but next step maybe you can give them a color so you have a second to i that has to call us and you drop colors or denaro so you have phase ii exeter move things around that's it so I think that already interesting for people to play with yeah and it's going to be educational because you have to navigate if you look around you can look maybe you can start making a stock but you drop it fall like nothing cause maybe physics or slider for gravity so that's the thing I think people like to see in school yeah the best thing is that you can do that with a fool compatible glenda furch's official release that means that you don't have to worry about installing the types of software there's one plan there and you have multiple application malicious every application manager will start logged in a way that you want it to be but it will still be in the mainlanders only to 80 to 81 82 but with your own application tempo or if you are a teacher if the students are really smart and do everything superior this blender is self start go on a hard drive because it will always be the same lender shop with a different template so you can always even if you have the blender for 3d printing you can always go and switch it to the full blender the one the classic the hell are we gonna call it classy Oh awesome I've actually this whole open source philosophy of making software free available for everyone that's right so important because no commercial vendor will ever make a like a stripped-down my auntie the two high schools and then allow them the option to expand it as the home buyer for free and they can use it take it home they can download stuff of the Internet this is awesome yeah so that's five yeah if shackles of course but it will always get better then I think we can already start with some of the questions that people have yes its main one anyone listening the main world that is like when will blender 2.8 be release question that's one of the questions yeah what is a relief what is do people know that there is a website called builder dot blender.org which is where we have our daily built every day sometimes more times per day you can get the latest version fresh from the lab and we have to go to this year building render continuously yeah of course it's risky because you got something that might not work or might work on the other hand I think a lot of people are using it and especially we hear the studio are using it so if there's anything wrong we can find out very quick so 2.8 drilling the hole called quest every day every hour what I thought there will be 80 built available for people so they can monitor the progress we will make sure that that's good documentation so the answer is it will be convey but of course everybody wants to know what is the official location really the one we can actually use so I love that lunch yes I first say this is the deadline I'm gonna start cutting no fish and I think egg wash which equate that last see graph is almost 14 13 14 10 to 15 to 16 yes so meat almost damn old rooster self mean all of a sudden it's same so we want to have a release of planner where we call the bad quran 2.8 all to put it one that's to make a number of versions yeah and that is going to be the first blunder too polite bullish but maybe all the developers you are listening and i'm screaming oh my god you cannot shade because we might not be done and it will never be good and I know but that's the challenge yeah and that's why everybody's buying little rocket because the developers don't feel so guilty right oh my god the community is supporting our show fantastic we have to make two per day at work yes and it goes both ways this is sure and at the moment there is a hat 527 be disappointed but actually there will be two thousands I bet this goes to two thousand yes actually one of the questions is related to that but more of the success of the culprit so what is the minimum goal that you will consider is it what is the minimum for the coke quest to be successful what Arjun no no about like what is the outcome of the code quest oh you mean how many Rakesh we got to shower I thought nobody question is what is the outcome of in technical minimum goal that must be rich for the code quest to be successful not in terms of sales but if the code quests like I don't know maybe in software yes yeah okay Evie yeah sure yes that's grass yes please burn show nothing comes in the workspace with the layers and everything yes but all of that everything yeah that's a successful mineral but of course you heard it it's in safety to record that and of course you couldn't add this gosh lap okay but how much of that will you want to have yes but those days there's always things details like that there's a because he called the two system to make it automatically use physical manipulators for samples oh yeah that was the old top bar and ways to have redo and those are kind of designs are a little bit confusing still I don't think they are finished and they might add a lot of extra work so some of the smaller features they have a big impact on works law but the still relatively small might be postponed to follow up yes but they are not blocking but the step forward and upon daily smashes and after that of course at eight one day to it for all kinds of exciting a new update so on the caused a stir we'll have to cut sister have to act the workspaces of the layers of the and everything else we have to get a workbench and James refers to unsolved issue and because of easy can work initially but it's not always optimal for texturing and stuff we have to clay anything which is only for a test at the workbench engine is what they're working on we still have to find somebody or assign somebody to it and that means basically everything we had already or they're better like they're so neat they also knowledge with wire overlay with by selecting or if not already I think but also surely there's some simple shadows like a solid texture so what of to depend on a limited visualization to make the tool clear yeah and work then social means several pens literally so you have fixed light and you set up an environment that you can really start modeling yeah since you have no destruction of how the actual environment be that are good yeah like like solid you know now in England over 2.7 so this will basically put me like a strip down EB I guess under the hood it will be the new yeah because you can ask some nice stuff but it should be mad about fully real-time so you don't want to have any moment that you change at least they update in real time so you should be as fast as blender 2.7 solid mode the other big challenge here in the back complaining and coaching if not what's in the street right he's working but he's complaining all the time of course society she Russian and what does Italian to complain the time Russians are more likely pressure they only see the bad side of them just really bad but they're really good of course amazing that things to their on the best but he's working on fixing her things for Andy Andy spring growth spring and of course this is going to be amazing and and also likes to push the limit and yeah really make something look like as if it's a big family and they are not using pictures of the other day I usually under so he suffering in better and everybody will benefit others so the goal is not to recall the whole health system a particle system and those projects have restarted years ago but they also end up in the complexity and the scale are a bit out of focus so we asked my love L the famous coder of cycles macro basement to walk getting the two functional particle and her system box it up with a ribbon put it into the 2.8 code base in a way that is compatible and work and then we can set up a process to replace the whole particle on her system at in time and then you can just simply throw the Box away so it's like a transition like a transition between systems so the old hair system is now and we already tried like developers tried during gooseberry so it's cool it reminds me in blender 2.5 we breath try to make the blender internal have like bounces fantastic but failed cycles came out of it so we tried to fix the hair for gooseberry that fail and now a new one is coming so I have fate I have the shadow people know but it's a very well known and shat fact in software development but every time you want to move on one generation with the software the amount of time and effort said to put in it goes like exponential and it actively do the first particle system in blender I can shock about it was really true I added in a few days a few days a couple of days who are the particle system but then they were simple it was all my software particles velocity porn drawing type that type kolkhozes our particle system the second part what does not stereo third a very good one that's the second particle system was added by Yana and that's the one we still use but one for big bunny the second so your particle system that you may do so your honor out of the second yeah and thanks to that we had full on the door name crash so boy it's all kinds its abduct optical system how come wearing tools and all what you did and that last already 12 years what nobody has that for 12 years savvy and so that it's really over the time what it's convoluted and people people have been trying to fix things and made it work and the code is impossible impossible so everybody says ok time to make the third generation right and then suddenly the third generation is not one person working on it for like a year so now you have to get like four years of one position for four people working on it for one year to make a part of the system that's better than the previous one yeah otherwise you don't you can make a crappy one ok but you want to make a better and a better design it takes like 4 times more and that's a bit of a problem with structure yeah next question so the the goal is to get a thousand Rockets sold I'm doing something yeah yeah ok its power yes so the first goal is to get a thousand Rockets all what happens if you reach more what happens what is the next goal so the we're still talking to a number of big exposure I send it to our big friends in americana Fluellen studios i was thinking about it i'm not going to announce anything yet so their help is essential we need that so but as a good backup I would say let's cut that toggle move on to mm yeah it will make us much more independent I mean the foundation has a backup we have the night share the pollution has been gone from the Steam Workshop for example and some of the biggest sponsors so in the worst case we can spend all our backups and then on 13 have to go to Amsterdam I'll finish the code quest but I would rather not infest all our wishes only in this and that's why we are launching this campaign and asking sponsors so what will happen if you go back to 1,000 or mostly it will be more relaxing for everyone that wants to stress so that's it that much but I also think we can much easier than this I to get any more people from I would love to invite a couple of other developers and took us there a plane ticket to come to Amsterdam in the room to work with the team for one or two weeks it especially stuffing and that's of course the game engine there is a pot budget a pocket money and from the donations I'm saving it up for getting a developer paid to work on a gray vehicle bring me back a new game engine preferably new logic have it no Nene using the depth graph just actually integrated but it's a game engine so the Volusion store for prototyping as you can do now look at the fun stuff yeah but we should work on getting very efficient export to WebSphere WebGL so to put it online gltf or working with the WebGL consortium or getting our own that player that's pop and garish blends for rap and there's a couple of other children sheets interactive 3d is very important yeah awesome so that's great news then there there's light at the end of the tunnel for the imaging and of course if you have all those developers here but do you think of maybe we can keep them a little bit longer huh yes that line is damn August and the gold quest will be April May June and a few live everybody goes you are what so we can also keep them one month yes so please keep supporting us it's a party the money will be spent well awesome there is a question regarding that so there is how much feed but how much feedback will the community of users be able to give during this period it sounds like lots of important aspects of blender is gonna get worked out so how much feedback so the most important is was that we've got a users to come over designers and we as musicians studio and all those people are very published they have social media they look around and they are not going to be decided to personally second we are working on adding a deaf doc doc website I think is already there and adding our own de school forums for users and developers to chat talk together it's a sturdy school for and system but it's more friendly than normal forum systems because we really want to reach out in a more modern and accessible way to people who want to be evolved it's mostly for developers to get more developers on board but a lot of technical users are just to understand our software design work or how to improve - yeah all welcome it's it's not like what is the difference between developers Orlando Resort and this and this new dev talk for people but we still have the mailing list yeah only recommend everybody go to weekly the branded rock that is a developer thing where you can click on contact developers essays on the front page click you got seven or eight mailing list and this mailing list for interface animation for Chris virtual modeling for asset of all the subtopics have lists those lists are managed by the developers while working on it and users and developers are meant to work together here questions for usability I still think that a forum will bring more people apparently young people don't use email Jesus Christ but that's why this school might work better for this yeah we are going to test this and I hope people understand that the the focus should be on helping the developers to do their work and it's not so much a feature request circus right it's not like oh I got a wet idea can you call this for me that's not time for that but what if what if it a thousand people are bucking on this idea what is an idea we didn't think of yet people might scream about that we will do it of course right-click right-click select know what Clips you like that Radisson yeah yeah okay I mean the the goal is not so much to listen to the users I'm sorry uses but the goal is to make the best software for the users and you have to guess there's a two-sided thing you have to give developers hundred people make the software a little bit of room and space to develop what they think might be the best one yeah and the most important thing and we can do that an option that you should look at fault and see what happens and that's the software are they a feedback and then we got development cycles where things move forward that works better than somebody saying I ask our dear please code it and there is like yeah but it doesn't fit in the architecture or it's not in the planning or the Cisco look at it but if you go with the flow I'd like to say okay it's all about asset as I said if we say the design is no system it's all those things we have to solve those that's where we need help with yes especially our good new ideas are good mock-ups of how to make the best layout for usable presentation of all the new features totally welcome the conference awesome yes it's a rocket 3d printed and the rocket is actually made of PVC and we would like to announce that in the in the page actually when you were else a patient says 8 gigs but it actually is gonna be 16 16 16 yeah I got to put on it 16 you know how big blender whirs blender fits in a floppy non yeah 20 megabytes you can put a thousand blend out no no worry there is a movie that's not a lot a 16 gig yeah all the bloody versions from day one yes and all the OpenOffice some all open or anything like we can also put on training there isn't any fundamental some people were suggesting we put blender 2.8 there but the thing is that it will be too early it will be a bit confusing it's also not working fast in a Mac you can't wait but my other was to to stop with the campaign in a couple of weeks and give the job to the printer to start making the rocket yeah next month and then in April we ship everybody the rocket yeah so do you ring the gold quest you can have your little rocket on the table to show your support yes and to worst what the shortage of this this is cooler because why would you want to have 2.8 on a sticky like five weeks after that we release it because we were not going to wait with releasing brand by putting it first arm little rocks right now that's not fair it's not so at least been online and everybody will download it yes immediate and you already have the rocket yes so you can have it rocket with the open movies you put it in your TV and you watch them all back to back all nine of them actually a lot of so previously shows the blood the demo stick stick and it was also very popular to take it anywhere because especially on Windows and Mac but plug in the USB other little Linux to talking to use video you can have everything unpacked up and you can click on blender and it runs from the USB without without actually a chip yeah and you come freak out everybody with that because this is not fairly normal application all the apps usually need to be installed but this way you can have as many versions as you want so so but I expect most people will keep the rocket and put it on the desk are boxes every day yeah watch it every day you can aim to it I want to have to at least at least yeah if you have finally on each side yeah you saw each side of your screen the the next question actually is related to what we talked before it's a is are you planning to revamp the animation system yes yes revamp yes is that is a true but what what does it mean is the quadboss the question who had that question an animator or later or the cold air or somebody said that we should tell you the magic words animation 2012 yes of course 2020 what is that yeah that's what I always start with a name what a mission 2020 that's just a cool name for a project and that means making animation - that was a 5-10 years for a whole decade in the 20s in the 20s now you have the cool name so what actually me I thought I also vote that we first got to pond eight shut up what we have to get the to Pareto is running and when that feels like we are on track I will start looking at 2013 and the idea is to talk to a couple of very experienced character from big studios and we've been after talking to two nimble collectors for example already but we'll talk to more the people who come from the industry and who have taken part in or very close to designing the top animation tools as being used out of everything it's like the rush toward primo they're cold yeah you can get some videos especially from Prima I think the post is nice videos Presto's a bit more secret primo and we have proved but they're both Italian the worst restaurant three more yeah hey pesto first and presto ich ready quick quilt yes Italian in the house pick up the phone hey presto oh no it's a play-doh pronto we call it pronto yes ah Spanish it means soon grunting sorry since understanding so that what I think is whirring blender ish the complexity of making character work it's really hard and a little bit too difficult have to review the or the way how amateurs are built and all of it bones and joints and drivers most innocent of actions and animation curves of this rock and the inhalation system the lever number of advanced tools well not all of them will divide and Elaine disappeared a little bit and the way of why people how people think of how animation tool should work and how animators like to work has evolved in the past 20 years and I think most of the the design of the blender character rig system is from the 90s Wow and I think that's getting a little bit I'm sure they're blending users who were born in the 2000 short so it's about time to to think of a better way to do this but also that will be all done in public to the animation system mailing lists and soon or so on the school forums people can start talking about hey I'm available if I can help or maybe somebody who's working for DreamWorks oppressed Pixar thinks I'm going to quit my job and I come over to Amsterdam to help you guys yes you're welcome and even better even better we can maybe nice hey 50 mask odors if you see this best job on the most popular most well-designed 3d software out there Autodesk killed it which is a shame so come back then they will make it possible to lift up the quality of blender we almost often I shot yes I recall that the animation 2020 yes not ice but nice yeah yeah and yeah regarding animation see the animation tools we can also get Daniel Martinez later he was working on a Syrian and to make rigging in see action he should I mean scope amazing yeah yeah so we should definitely he will be like a big part of it so yes next question when will the to panic tracker we open for the user for people to report or should they use this course instead Nadia the tracker so the the bug tracker is currently closed or closed we don't have time to handle Burke to point Leonard to pine I pass I think this is something when the code card press Start we put that on the discussion weekly meeting whatever of the developers to find that moment as quick as possible and we have to make a couple of decisions I think the main moment we should start accepting bug is when we wrap up the current a master yeah I have a 2.79 thing and call that a branch and then turn to point 8 in too much Wow all right that's a big moment and that's what happened I think after the cold quest starts right somewhere else god is here there will be a moment after a month a week I don't know when the of 2.8 will become official master and then we have to actually plug on yes yes I remember when that happen but still if there is like very critical fixes into seventy nine there might be at some point well actually 279 a is coming out this week but this week or in these coming days but then like happening 249 be it's also possible we make us suffer 19 yeah if there's no critical bugs and for people that are still using 279 in production on their own projects and they are not ready to move to 2.9 there will be support extended support for to say I hope not I think the goal would be w bacon a only this week yeah I should have because the cold crush for my group already and it takes time from the developers to make a cool we have a last question the last question it's all wrong as an hour we want to keep it in there one hour time even more questions we can see how we answer them so then add any questions word go to learn about the upcoming or wanted features for example you deem but nowhere is waiting for a few some some tweaks and stuff and the the person who submitted it is too busy at the moment it's all for student yeah and it's helping a couple of Studios already he's been hired by dr. well yeah but you dim is definitely on the list you are to conduct cool so where do we go to learn about these cool stuff how do how do people find out that you love you the day to day that we have the code block well you can read more about dr. shine if you have twitter you can have a weekly tweet too with a link to the development meeting log yes the meeting work is important for that even a week in blender twitter yes which is actually [Music] shown on facebook it's a no it's in the blender developers in the blog okay you can find it itself or not we are doing Facebook yeah there is a facebook on blender dog at the bottom you can find all the links to youtube facebook and the only thing I learned from a fourteen-year-old internally that we all have to move to Instagram right so we have to move to Instagram yeah but I don't know what to do with it whatever but I food you put it on yeah maybe we could have an Instagram with the daily to pathetically shorts oh sure I'll follow that huh yeah maybe with arrows to say here there's a new food Sierra but maybe they leave logs here in the channel in blender developers channel my this will be the main place where we are gonna discuss all the but it's a good point we have to make sure that our logs and our presentation of what we are working off a to ponder it is clear yeah so if we get all those developers in Amsterdam it also assign one person to do active walking and walking with a camera and bother bother the developers there absolutely yeah I we are going to be very very visible yes and the cult quest is going to be something you will enjoy watching online I'm sure yeah like a telenovela follow what happens to me next week people can vote one developer out every leave is the house this is nominate now okay and they're very very final question actually how does blender connect with other projects just like good ol engine or accreta or how does a BG how does blender connect with them so the one of the things for the game engine project what we're looking at as well watch to to make sure that we export will evolve a line that is obvious the current dimensions are there like Co dot and but also best for web or sketch shop or online dimensions ago does do fantastic I could stuff it but also there is from engine look I mentioned from something ever think about in a few seconds so this is all part of the workflow but I hope to get the attention and feedback and help from those projects as well that's but I think things are working quite good export to code it's cause we a colada sauce yeah there's a script apparently that was farmed yeah actually the main developer of go heat him he made he was asking for help in the community on Twitter so that's that's doing good yeah so I don't know what what what about not discrete Amblin there's no problem between that know about like in open source project they talk to each other you hang out yeah the main Cletus Oliver is from Holland and he Stockholm yeah maybe one day when we have a big office we talk about our new office oh is that a spoiler spoiler but we are working on of course for the cold question we need to get a lot of people astray here yeah the girl the banner Institute eh too small and I was growing a little bit so we are looking at a bigger place here and the city yeah I start to celebrate our awesome ethical question to have a nice fresh place with daylight window fresh air the only thing we cannot fix is the - whether it's all right so I think we can we can wrap this up it's been one hour I hope all the questions that you had were answered it was fun yeah the cold fresh - over when it's over or when is how every week during the code Questacon duel well I think on our feet here every developer you should have one of these with Sergei and what this camp oh yeah and then we have eight developers here now there's two months right yeah we can do all the retirement of to do so I subscribe to this channel to blender developers channel if you want to follow what's happening in blender 2.8 you like scribe thank you Tom for taking me for you for answering everything yeah we go back to work I'm not sure you who work I see you and
