or hold all my calls cancel all my meetings I nailed it were you going it was just before the holidays we all heard John was excited that morning even more than usual and then we got the video link hi everybody it's John here I'm here with Weston I've been thinking a lot what's the firm missing what can I do to make it even better I've been at Blackstone a long time and I've seen some crazy stuff around here but this the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame the Chicago Bulls and to a lesser extent the New Jersey Devils what are these storied franchises have in common what is their secret sauce do you know it's a mascot a mascot could possibly think this is a good idea what a great idea it's a low blow on the devil stuff so this year in lieu of a holiday party sorry about that again we're gonna unveil our new mascot amazing Westin what do you think this is brilliant no no no no no no 14 days 6 hours 32 minutes to go I can handle this thank you all for volunteering to be part of this vital process we're also excited to volunteer I have incredible faith in this group to determine which individual embodies the core values of our firm who is capable of becoming mr. stone you got to have a pretty big ego to create the company mascot and have it look like you I'm impressed well I guess this is happening what do we do host auditions or start prepping our resumes we were on such a great trajectory with our seek our conversion our earnings our returns maybe I'll distract him with a colorful pie chart he loves to focus on formatting do I really have to do this yes I've gotten five texts from John since he left I thought you said this was an emergency why did I take this CIO job are other people getting this thing on there is just so much wrong with this maybe the mascots got a tie I can't do this I'm a growth equity guy not here not gonna happen and my position on this one won't be evolving I'm afraid that we haven't developed the medication that John clearly needs [Music] is that everybody [Music] [Music] whoever's in there is perfect I thought it was John at first but then he don't so I have no idea who that was I'll be honest it was a bit of an adjustment ending investment community this way all right it's settled we're moving forward with the transaction [Music] haladki she generally I kind of really love this thing the mascot has real talent do you lose inside you know nobody's seen John in a really long time a lot of people think these oversized costume figures are just an amusing diversion but actually they're a legal minefield there's trademark infringement there's likeness misappropriation there's mascot misconduct I trust you've ensured that this is SEC compliant well we've added a footnote back across back did you guys see that I thought it was John in that costume nobody's seen him in weeks that's because he's been spending all this time designing bobble heads we actually had to buy another million square feet on logistics just to hold these things I hate to admit it but it's a good idea crazy Americans completely agree [Music] I don't know who's inside that costume but I love what mr. stone is bringing to this firm and I really love what it says about visionary leadership surprised I can dunk ah well I've got to go I've got some holiday cheer to spread and some books to sell [Music]
