Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I was listening to this album last week, and "Black & White" struck me as being very similar in a lot of ways to a trip hop track without being overtly so. I specifically felt this at 1:16 when the baseline takes over for a bit.
The song has a lot of the elements that I associate with the genre - a loose, prominent drum beat, piano and bass with electronic/atmospheric elements, a reverb-y, somewhat ghostly vocal.
Didn't expect to see Sarah McLachlan in this subreddit but I can see what you mean. This album and Fumbling Towards Ecstasy are both top notch.
