enlighten you hello and welcome back in this black excellest presentation we will highlight the top 10 wealthiest african-american neighborhoods african-american neighborhoods or black communities our types of ethnic enclaves found in many cities in the United States since the 1960's the black middle-class has grown tremendously african-americans have become more educated and have moved into corporate America and professional jobs no longer isolated and identified by skin tone many African Americans develops their own black upper-middle class neighborhoods while the african-american homeowners have gravitated to these affluent neighborhoods in pursuit of lower crime rates better schools and neighbors who share their socioeconomic demographics today we will take a look at communities that have higher than average populations of African Americans these prestigious neighborhoods are where African Americans are succeeding in terms of income homeownership and academic achievement since this top 10 list highlights communities we have selected predominantly black neighborhoods with less than 30,000 people and our researchers have factored basic indicators such as cost of living economic equality and livability some of the earliest african-american neighborhoods were clustered in and around New York City but we want to give a special shout-out to Maryland seven working-class families who had traveled by train from New York City located in Rockland County this area has not always been predominantly african-american in the 1990s there was a dramatic businesses of any community on this list the friendly area was largely rural until about 1960 and has steadily grown with the emergence of multiple upscale single-family housing developments the median home value for friendly is 269 thousand dollars number six Ladera heights california this stunning community located near beautiful beaches and nearby cities such as Hollywood and Los Angeles ranks number six with an average family income of one hundred and three thousand dollars Ladera heights is an affluent black prestigious community in the sunny state of California where much of the area's appeal stems from the stunning views of the Pacific Ocean maderas african-american population stands at 71 percent in addition to hillside houses as well as its proximity to the beaches and Hollywood over 50 percent of the communities adults have a four-year college degree this influential community is divided by lower and upper Ladera to distinguish old and new african-american money in dollars it has a make up of 84 percent African Americans and can boast of its excellent schools and a high school graduation rate of 80 percent most Mitchellville students go on to colleges like nearby John Hopkins University Georgetown University and the u.s. It is an unfair stereotype because Asian-Americans aren't really rich. They earn a higher than average paycheck which is still capped and marginalized given the degrees and qualifications. Compared to ruling class and VC white money the well-to-do Asian-Americans are still fairly poor are far closer to the working and middle class than getting past those country club gates in Malibu, Laguna, the Hamptons etc.

The only rich Asians I see here in SoCal on the same level of the white trust fund old wealth ruling class are new money FOB foreigners - the ones that throw the most cash at real estate in LA after rich whites. To bad they don't know shit about social dynamics, otherwise they could wisely invest to empower Asians in the West (Asian-Americans lack those means).

So "rich Asian" is a false but convenient scapegoat stereotype for the losing middle and working class to throw against Asians.

I don't think that there is anyone that thinks that all blacks are poor and all Asians are rich. Although in terms of median household wealth (even when adjusted for geographic location), Asians tend to be richer than blacks.

When you break it down to sub-groups, some Asian groups are much richer than blacks, while others just marginally. Africans also tend to be richer than black Americans.

How does this video show that blacks have more wealthy communities than Asians? Where do you live? As a demographic overall, Asians are quite well off than blacks. That’s just what data says.

Yes, but as a demographic they have WAY less wealth. Also, SO MANY MORE of them are in prison.

The video doesn't show anything. Some of the cities they show have the same median income as heavily Asian cities in San Gabriel Valley like San Marino, South Pasadena, etc. Sure, sometimes blacks themselves stereotype Asians as all rich and smart but overall blacks have the lowest median incomes in the US while Asians are top.
