hello and welcome to pedaling P 60 today I'm attempting to do a video in a beautiful residential area I've got a tile saw over there leaf blower over here and a couple lawnmowers to my left but I'm going to go ahead and try this anyway hello and welcome back to pedaling P 60 my name is John this is just a channel uh that uh I want to share uh my joy of uh riding an electric bike the channel started as a a basic way to share videos with friends and family who were curious about what the heck it was that I was doing and uh it's expanded out a little bit today I want to talk about an accessory for my favorite accessory and the favorite accessory is a Garmin RT 515 and today for about $7 I bought a safety for it uh and all it does is Clips on and I just kind of want to show you how it Clips together how it attaches to the bike and why I bought it so here's the Garmin and as you can see it's got uh a turn mount on it it's just you put it in you give it a quarter turn and it locks in but all I'm going to do is just clip this on the device like that and now I've got a nice safety lanyard for um you know a $250 $270 rear radar unit if you want to learn more about the rear radar unit um I'll just have you a link up to the video where I talked in great detail about this so here's a closer look at the mount and the reason that I bought the safety lanyard is the the uh the radar unit is just going to go in and clip in and lock okay but were it to fall off of the seat post I would lose this very expensive device it might hit the ground and break even if I did recover it the only thing that's holding this on here is this heavy rubber band now all want to do to make this complete is just go ahead and lock it in and attach this now I could lanyard off to the bottom of the seat but what I'm going to do instead is I'm just going to go ahead and choke the lanyard okay and then place this in and turn it into place that's it you can see this is it this is all that's holding this on but now I've got this safety lanyard to keep it on the post and keep it on the bike should it fall and for $7 I think that's a heck of an insurance policy for a very nice device just wanted to share that with you so if you're if you're using the Garmin 515 or any of their products these little safety lanyards could be a lifesaver for your equipment so I hope that you enjoyed this and if you did please like And subscribe to the channel your support means so much to me thanks and safe riding
