Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz For Debby are wonderful.
I like Undercurrent with Jim Hall, but otherwise Sunday At The Village Vanguard. He also has a really good electric album with George Russell called Living Time
I'm partial to the 1959 recordings with chet baker https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nQgfTeiFpw0
Not many misses with Bill Evans. Check out the album where he plays duets with himself.
his early studio albums “explorations” and “everybody digs bill evans” are classics. I like some of his overdub/solo work such as “conversations with myself” and his two part “solo sessions”. Im not a huge fan of his later stuff from the late 70’s until his death, esp his recording on the rhodes, but you really can’t go wrong with anything recorded pre 1978 or so. and even some of his later albums are good too.
Trio 65. Very fond of Interplay and Alone (Again) though.
He’s great on Kind of Blue obviously, I like You Must Believe in Spring too
it's a pretty average album by Bill standards, but my dad have me A Simple Matter of Conviction on lp when i was a kid and I've always loved it. Perfect rainy day indoors reading kind of album
It’s not objectively his “best” but I love his album Intermodulation with Jim Hall. Very underrated IMO
