welcome at my paint shop a lot of you  asked if i can flip again some spray cans   and if i can do a diy spray can paint job on  an aluminum bike and guess what if you ask i   will do it so what we need are some spray cans of  course and an aluminum bike here it is and what i   like to do with you in this video is something  very easy but cool even a preschooler can do it   and of course the dump as staring at you in  your mirror is also able to do that paint job   what we are doing on this aluminum bike is  a candy apple red so stay tuned and let's go hey before we start to all the people out  there i will link all the stuff you need   underneath the video in the video description so  you can order it yourself and to all the people   out there who don't understand what i'm talking  about again i will link all the stuff you need   underneath this video in the video description  okay let's go the first step is like every time   the prep and that's absolutely a must-have and  needed because we have to remove the oxidation of   the aluminum and to remove the oxidation i need  a special degreaser and i have it also linked   underneath the video in the description it's  ammonia degreaser and so it's a must-have and   i mean really a must-have to wear some protection  like rubber gloves if you don't want to end like   a zombie with no skin on your hands and your body  so put on the rubber gloves and also another one and i highly recommend the gas mask  because that stuff stinks as hell   my insanity has gone wild so even a gas mask won't  help but i highly recommend it to you if you work   with this stuff we have to mix it in a ratio  one to one with water here i have some water   so i will put this stuff in and again it  stinks like hell so don't take a deep breath and wear a gas mask and what we  also need is a scuff pad like this   put it in the mix and now scuff the complete  frame to remove the oxidation of the aluminum   that's the first step it takes  some minutes take your time   apply the degreaser on the complete frame i  have to change also the gas mask safety first   so no jokes and i will come back to you when i  have degreased the frame and when it's prepped to   mask some areas i'll show you the masking and then  we will change to the paint booth because that's a   fast paint job it takes only an hour maybe an  hour and a half and we are done so stay tuned yeah it's time for the spray cans but what you  have to do first is you have to degrease the   frame again to remove any dust and grease from  your fingerprints if there's any grease left   you run in bad trouble so don't forget that and  when you're done it's time for the cans and what   we are applying is a transparent primer linked  in the video description put on a spray mask   and when the spray mask is on don't forget to  shake the cans and then have fun spraying primer so so   the primer has to cure for 20 minutes and for  all of you who don't know how to read the clock   that's the number with the two in the front and  the zero in the back and in the meantime we can   do some stencils with vinyl foil that's the foil  i use and for all of you who have to ask again   link in the video description and for those  of you who have no sign maker no vinyl cutter   you can of course buy the decals you like on  ebay amazon wish or your granny's candy shop   wherever you like i like to do my  own ones so i have to cut some vinyl   i have to put it into my sign maker and  when i've done that it's time for the fun   part spraying candy color but before i can  do that i'll show you how to stick on the stencils so so   i've separated all the stencils with a pair  of scissors for the left and the right side   of the frame and what we have to do now is we  need this piece of masking tape we have to mask   the area where we like to stick the stencils so  we can align the stencils on the left and on the   right side both sides same height and now take a  piece of transfer foil stick it onto the stencil and transfer the stencil onto the frame the next step is the coolest part in the  complete video it's spraying the candy color   and what i will do is i will start with the  candy yellow on the back of the frame and i   will end with the candy red on the front so let's  change to the paint booth and let's have some fun to blend in two colors you have to do long  strokes as you have seen i do long strokes to   blend in the red and the yellow in the middle  of the frame and that gives a perfect fade yeah   guess what the candy color has to cure  20 minutes the number with the two and   the zero and in the meantime i dip my  wiener into some german mustard mmm   that's not the sweet [ __ ] that's the spicy one  and i'm watching some of your painting videos   yeah and if you want me to react to your painting  videos send me your cool [ __ ] i like to see the   cool painting videos with cool custom paintings  and maybe i can learn some tricks from you as well and here it is the candy painted beauty currently  it's not ready for a ride we have to remove all   the decals and then we have to make it ready for  shreddy with the two component clear coat to make   this paint job durable at first i peel off all  the decals then i change again to the paint booth   to show you the correct application of the  two component system that's what i have to   do and when the paint job is ready i can show  you some nice turntable footage of this bike   last step is the clear coat to make this frame  ready for shreddy and to do so we use a two   component clear coat system that means it's a  can with two chambers one with the clear coat   one with the hardener and now we have to  mix these two components and to do that   we need this little red cap on top of the can and  we have to push it in the valve underneath the can   here you can see the valve so place  the red cap on top of the valve and   now push it as hard as you can five to  ten seconds to mix these two components okay now shake the can for a minute or  two to mix the components inside the can and now let's go that's only the first coat of clear  coat i will come back later in five   to 10 minutes to apply another coat of  clear coat and then paint job is done and we are done check the  juicy color isn't it nice   yeah nothing more to say good luck if you want  to try it yourself don't forget to subscribe if   you want to see me doing more custom paintings  and see you in one of my next videos goodbye so
