kind of see what i'm talking about huh let's go something that makes carmel very unique to me is  the architecture of these buildings right here   there are homes like that there  are businesses that look like this i think i might like it because it has a european  feel to it kind of like the hobbit as well the   movies something that i really like about carmel  as well is that they have a ton of boutiques so   if you're into that sort of thing handmade items  caramel is some place you really gotta check out they also have these really neat alleyways  with restaurants and shops they also have a   lot of mom and pop shop restaurants here at least  that's what it feels like they're very welcoming   very homey you feel that really invited i'm  in this back alley right now is very quiet and it's very very lovely i've never seen anything like this look it guys i was walking around i found the  spot carmel bakery look at all this i'm a sucker for baked goods so we're  definitely gonna grab something from here so check this out i got this beautiful looking  pretzel look at that salt on it let's take a bite we are done here at carmel let's go to  our next spot carmel river state beach man it is a vast vast beach  i thought i would have been   closer to the water but looks like we're  gonna have to do a little short hike looks like we've made it to the oceanfront and  that is really beautiful just the way the sun is   shining on the ocean you can see the colors really  coming out popping vibrance the greenish hue to   the blue water i'm loving it and then you can see  this beach just goes all the way back over there   and it actually touches on to point lobos  which is right over there and then on that   side over there our right we got some  jagged rocks and then going beyond that is   the 17 mile drive that is super popular super  which we'll be doing pretty soon we can't   come to the beach without touching and feeling  the sand right all right sound test stand test and we definitely can't go to the beach  without getting close to the water and heck   even touching it right look at that how do  you guys like that some pacific ocean water   some california blue water icy cold but  beautiful let's head out to our next spot   which will be 17 mile drive today looks like  one of those days where it's so beautiful you   gotta do this oh here we go i think rock not bird island  bird island is over there at point lobos for   rock is over here at 17 mile drive okay i showed  you guys a lot of places along the 17 mile drive   but i really want to show you guys more places  in monterey so let's go check those places out   we've got a picnic area right here  at lovers point we got benches   we got barbecue grills over there we got benches  over here outlook look over the water we got a   rocky area over there to check out the rocks right  above so let's go explore lovers point over here here at lovers point they have a beach cafe right  over there and with this beach cafe they have this   beach front view of boom the beach not just a view  an actual recreation area that you can get in swim   if you guys don't want to be at the beach you  guys got the rest of lovers point over there   picnic area you can just sit in the shade and  even sunbathe over there as well as over here   we've got a barbecue grill right here we've got  a bench right there we've got a trash can right   over there so bring her food have a picnic  look at the view jump in the ocean lots to do   we've got another beach area right  down here looks like a good spot to go   snorkeling in you can see somebody down there  about to jump in with a snorkel probably go   check out the kelp that's right in that dark area  of the water here at lovers point you can continue   that way towards the 17 mile drive and  then you can go the opposite way down there   towards monterey bay aquarium  actually why don't we head   that way towards monterey bay aquarium and check  out cannery row going along this area there is a   bike trail pedestrian trail so you can see  that there are a lot of people just walking   and biking walking their dogs walking with their  kids or family so much to do here in monterey   we are here at cannery row canary row oh looks  like you can actually enter the top over there   it's like a bridge i can see somebody right inside  that just walk right past i found some ghirardelli   ice cream chocolate shop isn't that a famous place what do you know they even have bubba gump  isn't that a famous place so walking through the   backside of cannery row you can see right here  all these columns are holding up the building you can hear the water just splashing pretty neat pretty neat that is  kind of crazy to see down there we're here at the famous monterey bay aquarium  but they're closed right now because of covid   sucks a lot so no monterey bay  aquarium i just wanted to show you guys   how it looks like to the main entrance cannery  row is a really nice spot they have restaurants   they have gift shops if you get tired  or you're bored with all of that   you could go check out the beach right there so  definitely come here check it out nice little spot   to just dine out eat be with your family your  friends try something different food wise   here's the bike path i was talking about earlier  bike path pedestrian path you can just walk it   from down there the beach where we came from  earlier uh lovers point all the way down there to   uh old fisherman's wharf so let's go check that  out oh that's really cool these led screens   combined to make one giant  image you guys see that whale we are here at the old fisherman's wharf  and then the bike path that we talked about   earlier is right there it goes right here so you  guys can actually get to old fisherman's wharf   through the bike path let's  go check out this wharf at this old fisherman's wharf they have  restaurants pretty much it um a little bit   of desserts but all i saw were restaurants if you  guys wanted to check out the pier at the same time   you got the water here and then you got  the water over there as well if you guys   never gone whale watching before here's your  chance it'll be here at old fisherman's wharf that finishes up our adventure checking out   old fisherman's wharf let's head  over to our next spot that way   welcome to del monte beach here here by or here  in monterey and it's only a few minutes from   old fisherman's wharf so i was wondering  what was going on here in this specific   part of the beach at del monte and they're  teaching the kids how to body surf and also   how to surf on these little tiny swells it is a  lot less crowded over there a lot less popular   so if you want the peace and quiet going that  part of del monte is your best bet let's head   to our last spot which will be monterey state  beach here we are guys at our final destination this is more secluded i would say compared to  the last beach we were at not a lot of people   over here but it's really nice because you  also have sand dunes to take a hike over   let's say we go check out the top of these  dunes to see what the view is from up there look at this and then look at our  backdrop we got the freeway over there and then over here we have the gorgeous ocean   that peninsula you guys see over there that is  monterey the dunes right here is going to end   our adventure for today i hope you guys enjoyed  everything that you saw tell me which one was   your favorite which one was your highlight  for me it would have to be 17 mile drive   but for you guys i want to know what was your top  pick for monterey until then travel eat take care vlog diary day 30 i haven't had food in   two hours i am so hungry this desert feels  never-ending i'm thirsty my mouth is super dry that is an hallucination it's not  real my mind is playing tricks on me
