today we're comparing the new Galaxy Tab A9 plus to one of the new tablets from Lenovo the tab P1 Gen 2 which one of these is the better option well I think this one's actually pretty close so let's go ahead and get [Music] started pricing is pretty similar between these two Lenovo starts at just under $200 where Samsung is just over 200 base models start at 64 GB of storage with 4 GB of RAM as far as the screens go you've got an 11-in TFT LCD display for Samsung with 1 1200 by 1920 resolution versus a little larger 11.5 in IPS LCD display for Lenovo with 1200X 2000 resolution the Galaxy Tab is up to 90 HZ refresh rate versus 60 HZ for the tab P1 but I feel like when you put these two next to each other the tab P1 looks a little better than the Galaxy Tab it seems a little brighter with a little better viewing angles but both of these are going to look good when streaming YouTube videos or apps like Netflix but if you want the tablet with a better display quality I would go with the tab P11 battery life is going to be slightly better with the tab P11 I ran the same battery drain test and the Galaxy Tab lasted about 6 hours versus 7 hours with the tab P11 both should have plenty of juice to last a day or two with mixed usage even longer if you turn the screen brightness down because my testing is at 100% screen brightness but if you want the tablet with better battery life I would go with Lenovo software-wise the Galaxy Tab is on Android 13 the tab P1 Gen 2 is on Android 12 they're going to be somewhat similar as far as the software but they do things a little bit differently you have the Google entertainment space left of the home screen on the tab P1 Google discover or Samsung news on the Galaxy Tab you've also got the edge panel over on the side side for Samsung the notification shade is going to look a little different between these two but one advantage for the tp1 is it comes with the Precision pin 2 or at least the version that I have here it's not quite as good as the S Pen which you get on some of the Samsung devices not the A9 plus though but it's still a nice option to have to do some drawing taking notes or just moving around the software with the A9 plus you get Samsung deck versus productivity mode on the tab P11 which is somewhat like Samsung deck maybe not quite white as polished but both are nice options to have to be a little more productive you also have Pogo pins on both to use their official keyboards but of course you can use any Bluetooth keyboard like the one shown here from Logitech sort of personal preference on which one has the better software but I might give this slight advantage to Samsung because typically they're a little better at software updates performance-wise these two are actually really close considering they have the same mediatech g99 processor and both have 4 GB of RAM so you're going to see very similar geek bench scores and even though these are considered entrylevel tablets they still have plenty of power to do most basic things that you would need to sort of the same story with gaming they'll play games like pubg mobile and Asphalt 9 without too much trouble just keep in mind these aren't really gaming tablets so they're going to have lower graphic settings and lower frame rates but it might just depend on which games you're playing nice thing is both tablets have a headphone jack in a quad speaker setup so they're nice and loud I don't think you can go wrong with either one as far as speakers go but here's a quick sample just to give you an idea of what they sound [Music] like you fade away I know you it hurts to watch your blue eyes Fade to gray as you fade away [Music] you Fade [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Away now most of you already know cameras on tablets are usually not that great especially in this category you get an 8 megapixel on the back of the Galaxy Tab versus a 13 megapixel for Lenovo and then 8 megapixel on the front for Lenovo versus 5 megapixel on the A9 plus so a little higher resolution on the tab P11 and yeah you'll notice you get a little better camera quality with the T P1 so I'd probably use that one if you plan on doing Zoom meetings or other video conference calls but here's a few samples of each just to give you an idea of what to expect so it may depend on what you're looking for on which one is the better option if you just need something for streaming the tadp 111 might have the advantage just because of the better screen quality but some may lean towards Samsung because they like the software a little better if you like tablet and phone comparisons I've got quite a few more that I'm working on so you'll want to keep an eye out for those upcoming [Music] [Music] videos [Music] he so if
