continue to do that he's he has served well he has lived well and we celebrate him god giving him another year well i'm ready for bible study tonight we're we're going to look at perspective tonight we're going to look at perspective but before we go into this word let us pray god we thank you tonight we thank you for what you have done up to this point on today god we thank you for those that they see the jesus standing up in me oh god that you'll feed us god till we want no moral god so we thank you for your grace we thank you for your mercy and we lift up this time to you in the name of jesus christ we pray amen amen uh tonight i want to look at perspective perspective and if you have your bible we're going to be in the book of lamentations chapter 3. the book of lamentations chapter 3 and then also we're going to look at philippians chapter 4 verse 8 but perspective perspective perspective put in the comments perspective perspective lamentations chapter 3 verses 1 through 25 and philippians chapter 4 verse 8. we're going to go through these the scripture pretty depth on tonight i'm not going to read it all now it's a very lengthy passage but for the sake of reading if you're standing in your virtual space if you're standing here we're just going to lift up about four verses but we will go through them all during the lesson but for the sake of reading we'll look at lamentations 3 verses 21 through 25. reading from the new king james version the word says this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope through the lord's mercies we are not consumed because his compassions fail not they are new every morning great is your faithfulness the lord is my portion says my soul therefore i hope in him the lord is good to those who wait for him to the soul who seeks him we'll stop right there you may be seated in the presence of the god and if you are standing in virtual space you may be seated as well but tonight i want to look at the thought your perspective matters your your perspective matters our lives matter our thoughts matter but many times we don't feel like that our perspective matters but tonight i want to show you how valuable i want to show you how critical and how how viable your perspective is because your perspective on certain things will actually be the result of how you respond how you act how you deal with a circumstance is all based on your perspective for example many times you may look at the classic example if you see a glass of water and it's half full one perspective may be it's half full the other perspective may be is half empty so we want to think about how do we look at certain things are we looking at it from a lens of negativity so when you think about a one loss record if you ask someone how you're doing in your sports they may say we lost this many games that might be their perspective they're focusing on the loss someone else may say well we won three they're focusing on the win it's the perspective and so as we go through this text tonight i want you to look at some very you know careful points that the prophet jeremiah is laying out to us in lamentations and so as we go through this study tonight i want you to look at the definition of perspective so we think about perspective webster defines perspective as a particular attitude towards a way of regarding something a point of view so your perspective is essentially your point of view it doesn't mean that it's right it doesn't mean that it's wrong it's your point of view that's your perspective and and so when we look at the book of germa of lamentations who who actually the prophet jeremiah wrote this passage when we think about lamentations the word lament simply means it's a passionate expression of grief or sorrow weeping with loud cries so there the old testament is filled with several types of books but lamentations is the only book that's totally dedicated to weeping to loud cries we have some of that in the book of psalms the psalms has praise it also has loud cries but lamentations is the book that jeremiah wrote under the inspiration of god because he was a prophet that god gave a very challenging message to judah he was telling jeremiah that if the people did not repent if they did not turn from their ways that he was going to be forced to cause judgment on the people so jeremiah's message was not one that was popular jeremiah's message didn't make you run it didn't make you jump it didn't make you shout it didn't make you do any of those things it was something that was not well received by the people but jeremiah was obedient even when people did not want to hear what he was proclaiming because he was god's prophet meaning god gave him a word and he spoke that word rather if the people wanted to hear it or not it was from the voice of god through this through the servant jeremiah but he had this entire limitation of this lament because the people's sin had caused them to see all type of go into all type of wickedness and now jeremiah is witnessing the destruction of israel and so that's what lamentations is looking at it's looking at all of the things that's going on and jeremiah is witnessing this and yet even though he was god's prophet god spoke to him and god's word came to pass however his judgment was on the land and jeremiah is now coming to a point where his perspective is being shaken his perspective is being impressed upon him because he's seen all of this devastation he's seen all these ruins he's seen homes be destroyed he's seen temples being destroyed he's seen all of this and he's god's prophet and he he wasn't spared from seeing this destruction because god's judgment came because the people did not heed his warning but your perspective matters and so what i want to look at tonight is what health these perspectives look like so when we look at lamentations and we're going to start at verse 1. i'm going to walk through the scriptures and you're going to see how jeremiah is put is pinning his thoughts his feelings so the first thing i want us to look at is a healthy perspective does not ignore reality a healthy perspective does not ignore reality now we can be faith-filled we can be filled with the holy ghost but the reality is is that we're going to face problems sometimes we're going to face sickness sometimes we're going to face the death of a loved one sometimes sometimes we're going to you know we may be attacked we may you may be burglarized someone may hit our car our air conditioned may go out whatever the case may be just because we're a child of god does not prevent us or excuse us from being able to deal with certain challenges and certain problems every now and then and so i pers a healthy perspective is not just ignoring reality if if i stump my toe on something i'm going to bleed and so i'm not going to ignore it if i am sick i need to take some medicine to get better and so i'm not going to ignore that because a healthy perspective does not ignore reality and and this is what i want us to look at so we look at lamentations so this is during the time when israel had split so when israel when israel split the northern kingdom was actually remained the name of israel and the southern kingdom came into name in judah so lamentations is actually focused on the demise of judah because judah was were the ones that turned away from the precepts of god and so now jeremiah the prophet is is in the midst even though it's god's prophet he's in the midst of all this ruin he's in the midst of all this decay he's in the midst of all of this tragedy and so the way that he deals with this is he begins to pin his feelings or his perspective on paper and so what you've got to understand is sometimes that when life is attacking you and things are attacking you it's okay to pull out a notepad and start describing your feelings of how you're feeling with this because a healthy perspective is not for you to ignore reality it's not for you to ignore that you may your children may be hungry it's not for you to ignore that your family is going through all type of trouble and challenges right now it's not for you to ignore that maybe you have a child that's that's having a hard time that's maybe in and out of prison and you don't know what to do and so you do not ignore that it's not for you to ignore that you've been working on a job for 20 years and then all of a sudden they give you a pink slip out of the blue and you don't know what happened so a healthy perspective does not ignore reality because jesus said in john 16 33 that in this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer for i have already overcome the world so here's what jeremiah does in the book of lamentations to describe how this perspective how your perspective matters he let's look at verse one and i'm gonna read a few passages look at verse one he starts this out he says i am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath jeremiah's saying listen i'm god's prophet i've i've spoken what he called what he calls me to cause me to speak but yet i'm seeing my people being devastated i'm seeing my people being overtaken i'm seeing homes being destroyed i'm seeing homes being devastated and he says i am seeing this at the hand of god so he's turning his attention to what's going on his perspective is god is allowed this has caused this to come on on our people and and i'm concerned about it i'm frustrated i'm angry and i'm and i'm moved by what's happening because i'm the man so he's not saying that he's doing it to these other people he says that these are my people but i i i was obedient to god and they still didn't change they still didn't repent and yet god's wrath is on us now and so i'm seeing ruins i'm seeing decay but he writes this and so don't let anyone ever tell you that you cannot have a open conversation with god to let him understand your real feelings and your real emotions and your real hurts because you cannot ignore reality it pain hurts suffering hurts people that lie on you hurt people that misuse you hurt family that turns their back on you hurts all of those type of things hurt and and we can't just ignore that reality and so our perspective is he says i am the man in verse one that is seen affliction by the rod of his wrath he says i'm the one that god has done this to and then in verse two he says he's led me and made me walk in darkness and not in light see his whole perspective and so you've got to understand he saw a complete city that has now been reduced to ruins and so you think about natural disasters and earthquakes and hurricanes and you think about now a fortified city now because of their sin they're facing judgment and now you see uh just ruins everywhere you see the temples being destroyed you you don't even see a city that you recognize anymore so jeremiah is weeping he's called the weeping prophet because he's weeping about what what he believes in his perspective that god has done to his people and he's not understanding at this moment why god has done this when he has stepped out and warned the people yet they did not heed his warning and now they're seeing the wrath of god and he's saying god why am i included in this and some of you may be asking the same question that you've been doing everything that you know to do you've been praying you've been reading you've been worshiping you've been treating people right but yet you've got a sickness in your body and you're saying god what in the world did i do why are you allowing this to happen to me why is my child giving me so much anxiety and heartache right now i've done everything that you've called me to do i share i encourage others but now when i need to be encouraged there's no one to be found and so my healthy perspective does not ignore reality and see that's what we've got to understand is that you're not more super spiritual than anyone else because you're you're dealing with things and you say you know what i don't even worry about that well you've got to understand that reality is reality i've got to have food i've got to have lights i've got to have certain things and if i don't have those things it it's painful and so i don't know what i'm going to do and so let and so that's what i want us to look at he's giving us a healthy perspective he's a man after god's own heart god has used him he's god's prophet but yet he's in a place where he doesn't understand how he is included in all of this turmoil in all of this disaster and so he's lamenting verse three he says surely he has turned his hand against me so he's making it personal he said god has turned his hand against me and my people this is too much to bear this load is too heavy to carry that's his perspective verse four he his age my flesh and my skin he says i've grown old i've given i've gotten wrinkles i used to be young and strong and now i'm weak and old and he said god has caused this this his perspective is anyone that's his perspective what did we say perspective means we said perspective is a particular attitude towards regarding an event and so all of this is his perspective his attitude towards what's happening to him verse five he says he's besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and woe he set me in dark places like the dead of long ago and and so the perspective that jeremiah is demonstrating here is one that if you were being honest it it would it would probably fit you somewhere in your life you can see that you've been in a place in a cave or in a valley where it seemed like everything was caving down on you and you didn't have an outlet but jeremiah's outlet was to write in the word of god so that we could get encouragement from it but not only for us to get in curfew but for him to be able to release his perspective and so he's showing he's not ignoring the reality verse seven he is hedged me in so i cannot get out he look at his perspective and see this is where it's getting dangerous and i've got two other points and you'll see but this is where it's getting dangerous he's focusing so much in the perspective of the negativity and in the chaos now he's turning and saying god has hedged me in like he's chained me to this situation he's chained me to this disaster he's chained me to this turmoil he's kept me in prison see he's his perspective now is he doesn't have any way out that god has allowed this and not even given him a way out because he's in the midst of it and if you were really being honest you would say there's a time in your life it might be right now it may have been last week it may have been when this cover thing started back in 2019 in march that you said i don't know god you know we we we we got better and now we we're going in the wrong direction it's like what's all of this going on god is is is has gotten me hedged in but your perspective matters your perspective matters verse 8 even when i cry and shout he says even when i get on my knees and pray he shuts out my prayer you ever felt like that i'm praying but god's not moving i'm praying and i'm still facing my condition i'm praying and my family is not getting well i'm praying and i'm still unemployed i'm praying and my children are still misguided and making poor choices and decisions god is shedding out i'm i'm shouting to god humbling myself falling on my face but it doesn't seem like anything's moving it doesn't seem like anything's working last month we talked in a series of the word still works it i'm at a point now where i don't feel like the word is working for me that's my perspective that was jeremiah's perspective verse nine he's blocked my ways with hume stone he's mad my he's made my path crooked he has been to me a bear lying in weight like a lion in ambush he's turned aside my ways tore me into pieces his perspective is now almost associating what a holy righteous compassionate god does to what the enemy does because the the bible says that the enemy roams around sinking who he may devour but now he's he's using this analogy for god and see your perspective matters but you've got to understand we we've got to now have the right perspective we we can't weigh in a certain perspective for too long because then our perspective our perspective gets misaligned and misguided and it becomes a danger to us because then we put god in a box and we feel like that our perspective can no longer even be changed or my situation can no longer even be changed by almighty god whose word can transform and change but my perspective has said that no my situation is too big for this god my circumstance has been going on too long for this god your perspective matters so he you see all these verses he's going through and he's he's laying it out but but the reason why i say he's not ignoring reality is because he's just pouring out his heart he's coming to god in the raw saying god this is how i feel and that's what god wants us to do he doesn't want us to feel you know make it seem like everything's okay and i don't have any pains i don't have any words you know maybe you can put on a you know put on a show for your friends and your family that you've got it all going on and and everything but when you come into the face of god god wants you to be raw with him god wants you to be open with him that's how you build a relationship but you see god hasn't intervened yet because he's letting jeremiah just write he's letting him just write he's just letting them write and and i want to challenge you just just right when when things aren't just just write them down let god know this is how i feel and this is what jeremiah did verse 11 he has turned aside my ways and torn me in pieces he's made me desolate he's bent my bow and set me up as a target for the arrow he's pretty much saying that he set me up on the on the battle on the front lines and as a as a big target with a big target on my chest easy prey a easy target he's attributing in his perspective all of this to the hands of almighty god verse 14 i have become the ridicule of all my people he's become a laughingstock the reason why he says he's become a laughingstock is because he's a prophet he's called by god he's anointed and appointed by god and he proclaimed god's word but now he's in the midst of god's wrath and so he's a laughingstock because the people that were just living any kind of way that they wanted to live and the prophet who's been trying to live righteous and give warning he's in the same situation his city has been destroyed as well he told them to repent they did all their fun and things that they wanted to do but and and the prophet seemingly right now in his perspective i got the same result that they got house has been destroyed temple's been destroyed i've proclaimed your word i've been obedient to your word but yet i'm i'm struggling in my own house and the ones that didn't care anything about you yeah they got their wrath for what about me why am i in this same predicament i did what you called me to do god so i'm writing out my perspective to you i'm letting you know how i really feel verse 15 and we're almost at the second point he has filled me with bitterness he has made me drink warm wood he has also broken my teeth with gravel it's getting very graphic he's like with how he's feeling physically and emotionally with what's going on verse 17 you have moved my soul far from peace he says i forgot prosperity i forgot what it meant to have things i forgot what it meant to have peace what it meant to have joy what it meant to have a smile now i'm weeping i'm moaning i'm groaning not reaping and moaning and groaning unto god but weeping and moaning and groaning because of my condition and my circumstance and it's too painful and then in verse 18 he makes a declaration he says my strength and my hope have perished from the lord he's at a point now i'm about to give up my strength and my hope have perished from the lord i've read your word i've been affirmed by your word but my situation is it's not it's not working and so i'm ready to figuratively or even literally commit suicide and give up that this is just the way it's going to be your perspective matters so yes it's it's one perspective to not ignore reality but this is where the second point gets us is that a healthy perspective chooses to think differently so if you look at verses 1 through 19 he was thinking from the perspective that his situation and just really focusing on the pain the suffering and how he was feeling but a healthy perspective chooses to think differently and this is where you see the change in romans chapter 12 verse 2. the bible says and be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god a healthy perspective starts to think differently so now when i start thinking differently when i see that same glass of water i don't i don't now think that it's half empty i think that is half full when when when i see something i'm not ignoring that it's that that is lacking but i'm not looking and focusing on the lack i'm looking and focusing on what this can be because god is doing something i'm in this position for a reason god's got to get some glory out of this somehow i don't know why i've been going through this i don't know why i've been facing this i don't know what what's happening but i believe that every all god works all things out together together for the good of them that love god and are called according to his purpose so god has some glory out of my out of my tragedy right now he's got something that he's about to do that's going to allow me to give him some glory because of the the tragedy and the triumph that that's that's yet to come and so you've got to understand that when you start thinking differently that's when your perspective changes it's it's it's not that okay i got laid off you know i'm just in between my blessings and that's not ignoring the reality but that's putting the perspective that now i'm thinking differently it's not woe is me it's like okay what god are you going to do with this lord i'm suffering i've heard you you said in your word i'm going to start coming back to your word and saying lord you said in your word that you that that you would meet all my needs according to your riches and glory by christ jesus i'm lacking right now so god that means that you're gonna do something that's not gonna allow me to lack anymore i'm not ignoring that i'm in lack but i'm trusting that this lack is just temporary because you're not going to allow me to go through this forever but you got to think differently you got to think differently when it gets the thought gets into your mind that's how now you respond if you fill it up with doom and negativity then you're going to respond with with sorrow and woe is me and i can't attitude but if you respond with the perspective that god is up to something that there's a reason i'm going through this it may not be for me but it's for someone that i've got to come in contact with that i can do all things through christ who gives me strength a healthy perspective learns how to think differently and so when you when you think about thinking differently look at verse 21. for 20 verses his perspective has been on the pain for 20 verses his perspective has been on the lack and and and for us many of it's easy for us to talk about what's going wrong it's easy for us to talk about what pains are happening it's easy for us some of us to talk about what we don't have but but but now the perspective and thinking about what do you have what has god done what is god doing what has god saved you from what has god delivered you from not what you don't have but what has god done what is god doing i'm thinking differently now and so you see for 20 verses he spent all this time talking about what was wrong what was lacking what was empty what what what was ailing him but now something changed and something shifted and see i believe this is when god interceded because in verse 20 if you remember jeremiah said that my strength and my hope has perished from the lord and i believe god said wait a minute son i've got to now come down into your spirit so that you won't go off the deep end so i can remind you who i am and who you are so i can remind you that i called you and i formed you out of your mother's womb that i can i can remind you that i have a purpose and a plan for you that i can remind you and that's what verse 21 says i want to focus on that when you think differently this is what this is what jeremiah says he said this i recall to my mind he said this i recall to my mind what could he recall to his mind remember all last month we talked about the word of god has authority power and and encouragement he said this i recall to my mind and so for 20 verses i wasn't recalling the goodness of the lord for 20 verses i wasn't recalling the ways that he had made for 20 verses i wasn't recalling how he had led us to the promised land and then when we were being chased he even did miracle after miracle but i've been focusing on the devastation but this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope and so you can you can underline this and whatever your this is lord this i recall to my mind that when my mother passed you gave me peace that surpasses all understanding this i recall to my mind that when i was in sick in my bed that you raised me up when the doctor said that they would pronounce me dead that i'm still alive and well today so this i recall to my mind this that even though i may have a child that's that that's going off off celtic right now but this i recall to my mind that i have some other sons and some other daughters that are doing great things that you have done this i recall to my mind that even in the midst of being laid off and being unemployed i never missed a meal my children never missed a meal and and i'm still getting fed and and you made ways out of no ways that that you were the lily in the valley and all of those things this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope see your perspective changes when you choose to think differently see that's what you've got to understand you've got to choose to think differently conforming to the world you think like the world and i'm not talking about you doing things that they're that that they're doing that's outside of god's word but you think like film you think negative you think that there's no there's no hope that there's no help that there's no that god is even not of able to help you where you are but this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope and so what did he say when you when you have a healthy perspective you choose to think differently and the last thing i want to lift tonight a healthy perspective is not paralyzed by the magnitude of the crisis i'm going to say that again i'm not if it's on the screen a healthy perspective is not paralyzed by the magnitude of the crisis i'ma say it again a healthy perspective is not paralyzed by the magnitude of the crisis some of our perspectives will cause us not to function and to operate under the anointing and the power that god has ordained for us because our crisis in our mind or in our perspective it's too overwhelming so i'm paralyzed and so that's what jeremiah was he was paralyzed in the first 20 verses because it was too overwhelming the devastation was too great and our love and our prayers and i go out to all those that were impacted by hurricane ida that are trying to rebuild and and many of those feel like this is a something that's just too much of a burden to bear because they've gone through hurricane after hurricane and when they finally seem like they got the things rebuilt then here's another storm that comes and wipes everything out again but that can paralyze you it doesn't mean the pain is not real it doesn't mean the hurt is not real it doesn't mean that you're not devastated it doesn't mean that you're not angry but you don't have to be paralyzed you can get up and still live john 10 10 says the devil comes to kill steal and destroy but i have come that they may have life jesus is speaking in life more abundantly and so even in the in the the magnitude of a crisis your perspective does not allow you to be paralyzed i'm still going to live i'm still going to worship i'm still going to pray because the god that i serve even in the midst of my biggest dilemma he's still greater because the bible teaches me that greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world so i'm not doing it on my own strength this hurricane can't stop me this hurt this hurricane and making it making hinder me but it won't paralyze me and that's the difference it's i'm going through i'm not stopping and see sometimes trouble will make you stop and turn around but trouble should not make you stop and turn around it may pause you but then with the help of god it strengthens you and he brings you through it and so that's why a healthy perspective is not paralyzed by the magnitude of the crisis philippians 4 and 8 and this is how you get a healthy perspective and i try to teach this to my boys all the time is that we can we can just talk about all the negative stuff and when you talk about and you i can't even hardly watch the news anymore because everything that's on there is talking about death and disease and sickness and devastation you know you don't want to check out from reality but when you can't keep feeding yourself with all of that you know i've got to have some joy i've got to have some something that i can smile about and so this is what paul says in philippians chapter 4 verse 8 he says finally brothers whatsoever things are true whatsoever things are honest whatsoever things are just whatsoever things are pure whatsoever things of or lovely whatsoever things of good report and then he says if there be any virtue he said if you can't find anything in those other adjectives he says if there be any virtue and if there be any praise think on these things so if you can find something in it and maybe it happened five years ago think on these things if you can find something that you can thank god for why don't you put it in the comments lord i know i'm going through right now but i thank you that i'm that i'm healthy i'm thank you that my internet is working i thank you that i have a vehicle it may not be the vehicle i want but i thank you most of all i thank you that my sins have been covered i've been covered by the blood of jesus you've forgiven me from my past so if you can think about something that's praiseworthy think about these things that helps you change and transform your perspective think on these things but jeremiah picks it up in verses 21-25 he says this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope see you see how his perspective is changing now he's not focusing on what he was focusing on the last 20 verses now he's focusing on the goodness and the mercy and the long suffering and the patience and the power and the peace and the prestige and the holiness and the righteousness and the loveliness of almighty god he says this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope he says it is of the lord's mercy that we are not consumed he said look look at all of this devastation i could have been killed when the temple fell down i could have been killed when the houses fell down but i'm still in my right mind because i was able to write 20 verses how i felt so this is what i recall to my mind it's of the lord's mercy that i'm not consumed i wasn't consumed with the fire his his mercies are brand new every day great is his faithfulness so he he's now showing you that how in 20 verses he was in he was on a path where he was about to jump off a cliff and give up on god and it only took him one thought to change his perspective and i don't know who i'm talking to but somebody needs to put in the comments one thought it only took him one thought to change what 20 verses he was writing about what was wrong he took him one fault that he recalled what god had done one thought he recalled that god was faithful one he recalled that god had covered him one thought he recalled that god covered his children and see i can i can testify today because my sons have been in in in school in public schools going in person for three weeks and i can testify that they haven't got covert they will they healthy they strong so i can testify he's been faithful because i can think about what he has done when there's outbreaks all across the city but i can thank god that no one in my family has their name on it that doesn't mean i'm not ignoring the situation but i'm thanking god for my situation perspective is changed with one fault this i recall to my mind therefore i have hope because his compassions fail not i love how the apostle paul says what can separate ask the question a rhetorical question brother jj he says what can separate us from the love of christ shall tribulation know shall death know shall destruction no nothing no angel no principality no power no government official no unrighteous legislation no law that no law that's been proclaimed here in the earth can separate us from the love of god which is in christ jesus our lord your perspective will not paralyze you when you think on the goodness of jesus and all that he's done for you and it's not just a cliche i'm telling you it works when i want to get out of doom and gloom i think about one thing and that one thing seems to transcend all of my pain all of my anxiety therefore i have hope my situation may not change instantly but i have hope that my future's going to be brighter i have hope that my children are going to be covered i have hope that this disease is not going to kill me i have hope that if god chooses to remove a family member he's going to give me peace or he's going to heal and so i've got hope i've got a future god has a plan and he's given me purpose because my perspective has changed [Applause] the lord is my portion in verse 24 says my soul therefore i hope in him in closing verse 25 it teaches for itself the lord is good to those who wait for him to the soul who seeks him i encourage you tonight allow your perspective to change because your perspective matters it matters so much that you could literally with your perspective cause life or death to your situation but my perspective tonight is that all of you that are tuning in and those in the sanctuary your perspective will be life and not death because that's what the word of god says he has a purpose and a plan but our perspective has to be aligned with who he is his character his motive and his mission your perspective matters well listen my friend tonight your perspective matters but most importantly your soul matters to god [Music] your perspective of yourself might be one of low self-esteem your perspective of yourself might be hurt or baggage from previous life experiences friends may have turned from you family may have turned from you but there is a god with his hands that are reaching out to and he wants you to see the perspective that he sees in you that your future is bright that your sins can be forgiven that there's a promise for your future so my friend if you're ready to receive this great promise of salvation through accepting jesus christ as lord and savior [Music] the bible says that whosoever no matter your past no matter what you've done no matter what family says no matter what people say your perspective of yourself can shape can be shaped and changed by receiving jesus christ as lord and savior he'll cleanse you he'll forgive you he says come as you are come unto me all you that labor and a heavy lady and i will give you rest friend don't tune away god has you tuned in so that you can meet jesus even through the airways and so if that's you if you say i need the lord my past is jagged i've tried everything and there's still no change just a void but listen friend that void will never be filled unless you honestly give your life to jesus christ and the bible says that if you confess with your mouth the lord jesus and believe in your heart that god raised him from the dead you shall be saved so my friend if you want to receive jesus right where you are pray this prayer with me out of sincerity and god will save you right where you are lord jesus [Music] i know that i'm a sinner i'm ashamed of my mistakes but lord i believe that you sent jesus christ to die in my place and to give me life and to forgive me god i want to trust you with my life today have your way in me oh god save me i want to live for you transform my mind transform my hearts come inside of me and save me in jesus name if you prayed that prayer out of sincerity right where you were you are saved and we celebrate the decision you made the greatest decision you will ever make hashtag harvest in the chat in the comments thank god for all the souls that he saved and if someone in the sanctuary wants to receive the lord jesus as lord as lord and savior tonight just lift your hand just lift your hand just lift your hand hallelujah hallelujah thank god for all the souls across the world that have been saved their perspective will never be the same don't forget that your perspective would never be the same when you work with jesus when jesus comes to live inside of you he allows you not to only have a perspective of reality but have a perspective in faith of the not yet and what he's able and capable of doing well listen there's a there's also a perspective that you reap what you sow and so now you have opportunity as we continue in worship where we can sow seed into this ministry it's offering time at the fountain of praise well listen [Music] one perspective might be that church doesn't need our money but the perspective is you're not giving it to the fountain of praise you're honoring god with the first fruit of your increase and so the fountain of praise is one of the local churches that god has commissioned to go out and do work beyond the four walls you'll see our ministry outside these four walls being involved with the community being involved with hurricane relief no matter what the issue is with vaccination drives with servant food and then of course ministry of the word through song through teaching through preaching through all the various ministries through our digital platform all of that is made a part of your contributions and your gifts to the fountain of praise so the three ways to give there on the screen you can text to give you can give online at tfop.org or you can still come by the church offices and drop your offering off because you're sowing into great fertile soil and then we can have the testimony of our forefathers that we can't be god-given no matter how we try lord god we thank you today we thank you for the souls that you have saved we thank you for changing our perspective we thank you for giving us a new view our new outlook on our life oh god we thank you for every person that is tuned in we thank you for every person that's physically here in the sanctuary and oh god we thank you for every gift that has been sown and god we pray that you'll bless them ten twenty thirty one hundredfold you know god for those that may not had something tangible to give god we pray you'll move supernaturally in their life this week oh god that is the next opportunity they'll have something to sow oh god we thank you that your mercy is everlasting and your grace is sufficient we bless you we thank you we lift you up and we thank you for sending us a fresh and a new in jesus name amen amen well listen we're going to close out in worship we'll see you sunday at 9 00 a.m but we're going to close out and worship with brother gibbs don't tune that down let's continue in worship god bless you [Music] how he loves [Music] for us it blows like a hurricane and i am a tree ending beneath the winds and the waves of his purses [Music] and i am reminded of how beautiful you are and how deep your affections are for me [Music] oh [Music] oh he loves us [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] oh [Music]
