hey happy hump day we are here live in direct from 274 delci drive in sewell new jersey i'm here with uh pastor mike dixon elder mike dixon and uh we're excited to dive into the insights and revelation that god gave bringing clarity to uh what it means for us to measure up to the right standards so uh elder mike won't you holler at him let everybody know you in the house praise the lord hey god it's good so glad to be uh with everyone tonight uh ask you to share this with your friends post it uh get your friends in and uh even your enemies maybe someone you haven't spoken to in a while or haven't loved known in a while to share this with them i think it's going to be a blessing to them praise god yeah and and through this series as as we uh just shares elder mike said through this series it's only three messages young but uh really the series is focusing on lifting our eyes uh from the temporary focus that we've had of either making it day-to-day uh making it towards some of our natural temporal goals not that there's anything wrong with them they're just too limited for a follower of jesus and we've really been working on turning our perspective towards the greatest destiny and the greatest hope that we have and that is actually the new heaven and the new earth and uh just as a foundation even ecclesiastes chapter 3 verse 11 says that god has placed eternity in our hearts and uh and really if you understand what that means number one the greatest longing that we have is for something that's not even here you know so it literally is partly a itch that we have that for now only god can can can satisfy and ultimately only the new heaven and earth can satisfy that's not a pessimistic viewpoint it's an eternal one so uh you know as we settle in on this element you really focus on trying to move our values and our priorities from natural success you know the way the world defines it to try to move us to um an eternal perspective or even what we are trying to measure up to each day uh but you talked about i think it was was it three ps i think it was three people yeah talk just define that a little bit the world that most of us live in the way most of us kind of shape that sure like most of us uh because of our upbringing our culture especially here in the united states but this is actually throughout history uh we are conditioned to measure our level of success by either our performance you know uh whether it's athletes or uh if you are some type of a creative artist even as children children look up to our parents okay did i do this good did i get an a yeah a minus b minus uh so our performance is always measured uh or it's uh our possessions how much did we acquire uh and we're always going after that am i going to acquire enough is this house big enough is this car uh the most expensive car i can get or next year i got to get the newer car uh with more uh accessories on it what i'm always craving or desiring uh another possession or another boat after the after the car then yeah to get the boat in there something else the airplane or something uh and then it's after if it's not the possessions then it's our popularity uh what is it that we have a craving for people uh to accept us and in our society today uh it's very easy for us to get uh some sort of awareness or a gauge on how popular we are how many people are liking my posts i mean and that that can be a craving and actually uh they've even proven that it is can be an addiction uh psychologically we get the same dopamine rush yeah some time ago uh when we go there you know i got you know 500 likes oh yeah just going back and back over and over trying to satisfy that hunger for popularity or acquiring possessions or succeeding as far as performance is concerned can y'all identify with that because really what what elder mike's laying a foundation for is trying to shift us from uh as he you know pleasing the wrong audience you know trying to shift us from living for the wrong audience so if our lives are driven by the temporary nature of the three p's of performing well for for job or whatever relationship it might be people that i want to be accepted by whatever uh possessions competing comparing um or um uh popularity which you know how many likes how many followers i have and you know i instagram so so how many of you that resonate with i mean as i hear you say it it you never outgrow that you never outgrow the temptation to slide back into measuring yourself that that way uh does that resonate with y'all let me see what y'all are saying so uh oh betty bullock says hey what's going on she says super elder mike okay she said hey bastard and super elder mike i'm sure that's the inside we gotta hear about that tracy ferguson hey tracy good to see you hey erica richard say hey pastor brown hi elder mike happy hump day happy hump day to you erica i saw some of the pictures for your uh gallery going on so so grateful to see god opening up that door for you how did those three p's go for y'all yeah heard her mother was believing to have this gallery had a whole uh proposal they put together to try to uh go and present themselves to a few properties that was available and was seemingly out of nowhere somebody in chestnut hill had a vacant building started a gallery and asked them could they come help curate the gown look at god look at god oh my goodness yes so wow erica has a gallery now yeah yeah yeah that's god that's what god yeah that is it's so he calls them to desire it then he met the desire you know start walking toward it right yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah here we go uh chuck says um we never grow out of it but keep needing to go back to god with it that is so true chuck uh and it's seductive um trying to perform uh trying to have possessions uh trying to have popularity all of those things keep us locked into a temporal world though and temporal perspective and opinions what was the the um uh quote that you used you used the quote on it thomas merton i think it was uh about the latter yeah and i found another one too great i mean why you grabbed that when i found another one i wanted to share yeah i saw that one with stephen covey yeah yeah yeah it was very very simple yeah uh thomas uh merton said that people may spend their whole lives climbing the ladder of success only to find once they reach the top that the ladder was leaning against the wrong wall jesus and that's just i mean that can be almost depressing when you think about it yeah and there's so many people who uh have done that they've pursued uh different passions different goals uh and in the middle of their pursuit they're like wow i'm doing all this and this is not really what i was made for designed for uh can go into states of uh depression or even suicidal because they feel like their life is worthless because they've actually been trying to climb the ladder but they've been going they're on against the wrong wall yeah yeah yeah uh stephen covey uh he wrote the book uh seven habits of highly effective people is one of them that he's written but stephen covey very similar quote says that if the latter is not leaning against the right wall every step we take uh just gets us to the wrong place faster that was even more depressing right you're getting there but it's too long yeah and uh so so tonight we really want to zero in on this this uh teaching that elder mike did on measure up really helps us to think about how do i lean my ladder against the right wall you know what i mean what what is the right thing to be climbing and let me just say this uh before we end up in another place because either we're performing for people or we start performing for god we don't even want to perform for god amen because the reality of it is is that god has already accepted us in the beloved i think about the devotion you did this morning with mephibosheth mephibosheth second samuel chapter nine is a picture of us mephibosheth is incapable of getting to the destination that david wants to bring him to just like we like mephibosheth are incapable of getting to the destination god wants to bring us to we we can't walk our way into the new heaven and we can't perform our way into it but we literally because we're saved we have good works associated with our salvation our good works don't earn us salvation it's so critical because as i was listening to the message being so encouraged by the message being challenged by the message it sometimes that kind of message can either make you feel like i'll never be enough right you know what i mean so i'll forget it good thing we phrased the lord the beginning because i can't forget it or it'll get you into i gotta be enough right and then the reality of it is i think what i heard you saying was this is the lens to see your life through this is the lens to see your relationships dude this is the lens to to to to to see your due north with this wasn't like boxes you're going to check off and accomplish by your own power exactly and by your own like about that exactly we can't do this on our own that's there but but god he can stretch us to encourage us to pursue him uh not again for some sort of uh trophy yeah but because our heart desires uh talks about how david uh he had the uh he was a man after god's heart and so having the one of the desire to fulfill god's heart to please him will enable me to be faithful i want to be faithful because i love him and he's so good to me just like with my wife i love her and i'm trying to perform for her yeah i'm not gonna be faithful to her because of my love for us and uh so these qualities these are measurements uh there are areas where we can look at our lives and say listen i i have to line up with his will his word because what's coming to us through the media uh through social uh media through tv through songs all of the things that we talked about here they're contrary to that yeah almost every show a movie we look at on on uh absolutely netflix or whatever absolutely they're not personifying these qualities yeah yeah they actually tell you to go to the opposite opposite way if you're gonna be faithful be faithful to yourself but no we want to be faithful to our king if you're gonna forgive somebody you know you better forgive yourself but don't forgive that joke over there right right right look out for you right yeah put up your uh good boundaries and all that exactly right and uh so that came out even in the peace cell you know i can only forgive so much you know that that idea of that's a self-centered adamic mindset and god is trying to give us his mind what's his mindset that's so good so so we uh ella mike laid a foundation in the message of talking about these three people talking to you all over the other talking about these three p's of possessions performance and um popularity and and the truth of the matter is you it in in that effect for a human being we can't actually put off something without putting on something um it it's such a a pervasive biblical principle in fact if i'm like i'm gonna stop smoking i'ma stop smoking i'ma stop smoking typically we can't we until we have something that god gives us to put on in his place so with that thought in mind if i'm not living to perform so i can get the promotion if if i'm not living for the possession so that i can find comfort and peace and a sense of value and well-being if i'm not living for popularity yeah you know mike everybody know mike you know if you you you want to be in a relationship with me you want to be his friend but we're not living for that you laid out five other things and you said this wasn't an exhaustive list but you sensed strongly that this was a list that god was giving you for us in this season in this moment can you just run through that like we don't dig in it yet but just if we're giving up popular performance and possessions what is god saying put on yes that's great great yes again just to reiterate that i don't think it's an exhaustive list yeah uh but for our house for this congregation and those you know who fellowship with us uh i think is definitely for any and even in this season this season where we are right now uh these five things that he shared with me were one first one was faithfulness faithful being being faithful in our assignment hey y'all scribe this list for us y'all uh while you're still inviting people so the first one is faithfulness somebody typed that in in the chat let's get this being faithful the other one was forgiveness he measures our forgiveness and uh that just what that looks like is uh how am i willing to forgive we talked about uh peter said yeah if i if i forgive myself my brother seven times a day is that enough basically he put a measurement on it like you only get seven right right but for us that was a big that's probably more than what what could you want because we say three strikes and you're out don't don't even talk if i loan you some money i owe you what what's the saying fool me once shame shame on me right me twice now you only get two so uh forgiveness and then the next thing was humility that he measures our humility and that talks about even the mind of christ he humbled himself and became obedient unto death and then he said submission uh which for me so faithfulness forgiveness humility y'all getting this so yeah you got it yet and then submission and uh i was thinking okay well we got humility and then he said he became obedient unto death uh and so now we're going to submit and i know that's a you know that's a six-letter word no one wants to hear that it's about solution uh but that a part of the idea of submitting under the lord's leadership is critical for his elevations he says what that uh he gives grace to the humbles yes submitting as a part of uh being humble and coming in alignment with his plans and purposes for our life and then the last thing was sacrifice which uh uh when we gave that scripture uh i know some of the people were saying the first thing that came to people's mind was love because it says yeah yeah i give my body to be burned yeah you know and uh or if i give all my wealth to the poor uh and don't have love then it's nothing it's worth nothing and uh but that talks about how our sacrifice is measured by god what he looks at as far as our sacrifice is concerned so those are the five years yeah yeah so when you listen to those five and let me let me see if i've memorized them i think i have so faithfulness to god forgiveness um i might not get him in order but but i'm gonna get him humility uh submission and sacrifice right as you listen to those five which one jumps out to you as the one that uh is speaking to you the most deeply it's not that we can pick one over the other because this is the latter these the five rungs on the ladder against the wall you need all five but just just to tune into this personally tonight which one of you sent speaking to you the deepest and then elder mike we're just gonna walk through the five of them he's not gonna be able to do anything in depth tonight but just define him for us and just give us an idea of what this might look like in life so belia says sacrifice sticks out for her wanda says forgiveness is is one and six raheem what's going on pastor bangor what's going on man raheem bango is on pastor bangor give everybody give him a shout out tonight pastor bango says submission that's big that's big that's fixed uh uh faithfulness y'all are saying faithfulness faithfulness faithfulness readers saying sacrifice come on let's interact with this personally what's what's jumping out to you if i look at the list and and you would ask me what one would would be jumping out for me um i guess i would the very first one he put on is faithfulness i feel like faithfulness for me can kind of incorporate some degree of all of them you know as i'm being faithful to god but yeah yeah yeah oh okay coley giving bangor a shout out what's going on bango uh belia belia says faithfulness gives you what you need to fulfill the right to see that's what i'm thinking police see see we thinking the same way on this one period but yeah that's good creighton is on the night don't come over here with none of that foolishness tonight either crichton christ said faithfulness because it requires you to serve despite your circle it's so good yeah faithfulness is seems to be a big one in submission faithfulness and submission seem to be a big one that we're all talking on tonight oh mike why don't you just try to give like a flyover kind of picture of of what each of these five looks like oh looks what elder mary she talked about her pizza elder mary said her peace cell hovered around forgiveness said they had a special prayer because they found that many of them were struggling with forgiveness particularly that particular area and we're being stretched incredible we're going to talk about stretch as we close tonight but being stretched incredibly it was a rich time of confessing uh that we are not measuring up that's so good that's so good jackie jackson said it was an awesome word it was and i want y'all you know tonight your home or or in some place comfortable and and the faith faith is built uh faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of god but there's there's in the greek there's there's an emphasis there that it's the ongoing hearing that builds faith so even as you hear this tonight conversationally let's interact around this word and really think about what it looks like lived out every day we are weak now so it's easy to think about what this looks like lived out in my in my real life so let's just try to give a fly over elder mike of them please sure sure and i'll try to work work the crowd here yeah so faithfulness uh and he's talking about our faithfulness as it uh relates to his plans and his purposes because sometimes we can be faithful to what we want to do but when it comes to uh serving god well you know what i can i can give god fifty percent yeah you don't have to give god a hundred yeah uh because no he's not you know watching me that hard he's not caring about that but i can give whatever i pursue it's interesting how even with uh our children very often growing up now uh our children we can make sure they're faithful to their football teams oh uh today you're going right there we can be faithful to all that but when we continue when it comes to serving god how faithful are we in leading them to the lord and making sure they spend time uh in god's presence and uh that's something that is challenging we have to come up to uh in walking in this life in this hour uh that we're gonna be faithful to god's plans and his purposes over everything else yeah pursue his will and his and and consider that the big challenge i i looked that up because the scripture we talked about was uh in uh scripture talked about the faithful uh servant yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and the lord said if you we can't be faithful with all the money yeah okay yeah right that was a whole other problem you talk about being faithful with how in our giving and how we are steward over our money then he says then who can give us the true riches yeah yeah like that that's that's he looks at our faithfulness in different areas and said rusev i'm going to give you just like you just talked about uh erica that was god alive giving her a favor because she had been faithful in some other area and now he opened up a door and absolutely and used his wealth absolutely to give up to supply her with the need so he supplies i need according to his riches in glory but if we can't be faithful then he won't supply the need because we haven't shown ourselves faithful in little so we can be ruler over much hey and and and and elder mike i'm gonna just tell the end from the beginning spoil alert on this because in the end he made the statement about being stretched right but but i i think as i went back and listened to the sermon again i realized that as i look at these areas of faithfulness as i look at this area of forgiveness and submission and humility sacrifices as i looked at these areas we can see god god wants more for us in those areas than most of us have determined we were willing to get amen that's it he wants more faithfulness than most of us hey how much more because what how much more faith i need to before i get a payback on my faithfulness i mean so so literally but what god is doing and he said this and stretching our faithfulness in these areas that god has magnified for us it makes room for the glory of god so when we do exceedingly and abundantly above what we thought we was going to do and faithfulness you know i mean it makes room yes yes for god now to be involved in the detail of our life in a way that he could not have been because we're available and this makes room for his glory you this is this was a word y'all this sometimes you got to sit down and work through this like like a gumbo where you eat this slow you know what i mean you can't rush through this you know and just meditate you need to be listening for what god is saying for so many of us we're looking for our answer and god is giving our answer in a way that we wouldn't expect because we're looking for something that talks to my issue this is talking to you us as a person here man that's good damn tucker good evening deb how you doing coley said forgiveness was big for him too lynn wilmer what what you saying lin spots lynn i don't even know what word that is but lynn says she's visiting for the first time but then then other comment this is like a seven syllable word lin we are college educated we really are filled the spirit but i don't know what you saying right there you got to break that down for me but uh good to see you sir dude of faith i think in the house oh is that what a baby is she put it all together or something yeah yeah well you got the interpretation mike got the interpretation tonight i think yeah tracy is saying god wants more from us in these days in these particular areas then we are willing to give this makes room for the goal there it is oh you just said you're saying back yeah that that's what i'm saying tracy forgiveness more than what we that's what he was asking of his disciples you know basically he said 70 times seven you know i mean what yeah you know so but when we do that really what he's saying is get out of your temporary mindset get get out of the way you look at it out of the way you think about it out of what you thought you were capable of get out of your capacities i want to bring you over you know this is what i heard you saying that's what i heard i've heard the lord saying and that's and he we need that when we are talking about forgiveness right yeah yeah we can't forgive on god's level to the extent that he wants us to of our own strength uh because our mindset says you know what if i forgive you i lose something yeah you wounded me you hurt me yeah you're preventing me from getting where i need to be or you're stopping me from where i need to be uh or desire to be and uh very often we hold things because we've been hurt and uh i was i was really blessed by that uh just in sharing i think we're able to lead today and uh even my wife uh just over the last couple of days he him and my wife they were super how they had dreams about the lord showing them something in their own personal lives they needed uh to pray for and connect with people or uh about forgiveness and i believe the holy spirit just prompted that in them that's so and it's because these are he god wants us to get in alignment so that he can use us and put his glory on us like we were talking about uh but man when he starts pulling that up in us we have to be willing to stretch because that's the stretch to make that call yeah it is that's a stretch to connect with them yeah yeah jesus they did that to me they mistreated me yes and uh so but having a heart to forgive is critical uh because if we don't then when god gives us power gives us influence we will mistreat those who have harmed us amen amen but that's why jesus when he was on the cross he said father forgive them for they know not what they do because he wanted his heart his blood to be pure so that our his blood then could be poured out for our forgiveness that's so good lynn yeah i see what you're saying now lynn saying she's from mike freeman's church mike and dede freeman down towards d.c my cousin goes to that church as well he's an incredible man of god powerful ministry around marriages uh welcome lynn good to have you in with us tonight my cousin is uh michael and leanne uh michael and leanne his last name just ran out of my mind which is he gonna come after me for that but uh mike and leanne go to mike and dede's church yeah yeah he's just a wonderful man of god yeah good to have you so we have faithfulness we have forgiveness uh and then humility and uh that's something that the world doesn't even want to talk about right yeah yeah humble yeah but the scripture says that let this mind be in you that was also in christ jesus who humbled himself so that's a quality that god admires yeah yeah contrary to the spirit of the enemy right that he said the guy says he he hates the problem i mean he he he he resists the problem yeah but he gives grace to the humble yeah so humbling ourself uh is is just saying that that my personal desires my personal agenda is uh submitted or up comes up under what god wants for me that's so good and i will humble myself in that area i don't think of myself more highly than i ought to yeah yeah i or having that mindset that i can i don't have to press and exalt my own self if i trust that god's going to do it for me yeah he's going to put me in a place in a position as long as i humble myself unto him but in this our society we think you know what i gotta do it on my own ain't nobody gonna help me make it but me right so i gotta fight right do whatever it takes for me to uh get where i need to get get the possessions i need to get whatever that takes but no god says no i want you to humble yourself and that humility then allows him to give us grace so that he doesn't want us to be pro so proud of our own works that then we turn away from him and think we can do it on our own when i when i hear you talking about this the thing that comes to mind for me as i think about faithfulness uh forgiveness and humility combined as you bring together i think about an orphan heart and how much an orphan heart struggles uh in those three areas but definitely in the area of humility uh the the orphan heart feels as though if i humble myself if i don't exalt myself uh it's almost like a deep victim and tell you no nobody would look out for me no one will defend me no one will protect me no one won't speak up for me and and this is what i think the root of this idea of humility is god is saying i will make room for me because i will if you humble yourself i will we've been talking about david a lot today right yeah but i think about david david had people coming to him and telling him they would help him with what he was trying to do and and and oftentimes and well let me just say this in this case those people had ulterior motives that if david had allowed abner to help him then abner's gonna want a position and a place and and even say he did it david's humility was rooted in not this orphan heart but the fact that he was god's son and that god had promised it and god was going to do it for him you know what i mean humility sometimes peop god's trying to do it and the enemy will send somebody or something or some situation trying to get you to jump the gun exactly yeah yeah you do that all the time with jesus no if you bow down to me i'll give you all this yeah so he's always trying to do that trying to get us to rush into what god has promised us uh so we have to have humility and say no i'm gonna do it and wait on god to do it that that takes some humility and then submitting to god's will uh his timing that uh that's critical because in our own strength we'll try to get it done when god says do something yes you know i've been i know you've been there i've been there god's saying something okay when i think about the word glory because i just want to say this while y'all were here at 274 delsea drive and sewell essentially the message was about preparing us for god's glory and how god wanted to do it i was over at 333 preston road at the family church literally preaching on the same thing different texts getting at it at a different way but at the root of it i was saying to them god wanted to pour out his glory on the church and the glory is the chabad of god the weightiness of god the the character the characteristics and the manifestations of god and if and just like in any structure without pillars to handle the weightiness god couldn't even pour out the way i was preaching that same thing wow literally that's good when i got home and heard this i said my god and i'm just trying to say to the church tonight that that the lord he said that in these last days gross darkness will cover the earth and the people but he said but my glory shall be seen upon you i don't think we've thought enough about glory uh we know what the glory of man looks like you know when when uh when the eagles were in their glory you know they there ain't been many glory days for us but when you hear glory you talk about the epitome of a thing the height of a thing where where it is flourishing and functioning at its highest what does it look like when god's glory gets on a human being and in this idea of collaborating where where the epitome of what god designed and attended and intended and hoped for is god and and has predetermined happens in in and through us amen that's his poor amen and he's saying if we're going to do that i need you to be i need your faithfulness if my glory is going to be seen upon you i need you to forgive you said our lack of forgiveness doesn't even make room for the stuff that god wants to be so entangled with this how did you say that wow yeah that's that's uh the fact that our hearts can be so consumed there it is there it is with uh retribution and there it is in vengeance seriously he's been working on this yes amen so we can be so consumed on that then we don't allow room for god to heal us and then because we're not healed then he can't put his glory on us because if we again like i said if we have that glory and we haven't forgiven people then we'll misuse his power and glory for our own benefit there you go uh you and i were talking this week and i was telling you about some of some of the most difficult seasons of my life were the welcome mat or what preceded some of the most fruitful and extravagant seasons of my life and and god had literally kind of knocked the taste for power out of my mouth mm-hmm and then put me in a position of power but i was like hey would you tell me what to do with it exactly he had knocked the taste out of my mouth for for extra resource and excess i was just like god i just want to be with you and then the next thing you know i've got more disposable resource than i've had in any of the seeds in my life it just exactly and that and that leads to you you're humbling yourself and then submitting now that's the next thing there we go submitting to his instruction there you're gonna know because if i'm not humble then i won't submit to his instruction i won't obey his direction i won't uh follow his lead because i'm trying to get what i need i'm not trying to accomplish what i want to accomplish but the humility is required for submission yeah yeah god's making room for his glory in our lives y'all amen amen and um i can't get over that that that uh devotion from this morning i just saw the lord and there's so much i mean it says mephibosheth was in load the bar and load the bar in the original text what was was a picture of lowliness it was a picture of being out on the margins it was a picture of no resources it was a picture of hopelessness and then he has no idea on this day that he wakes up that this is the day that god put his name on somebody else's mouth that he had no idea when he woke up this was the day that god had did we always think we got to work and do something all this god sent someone to bring in and what god gave mephibosheth all that his grandfather had he restored all the land amen that's an inheritance that's that's the restoration adoption and restoration because david almost like literally adopted him as his own like hey you come sit at my table he was treated like he was one of the king's sons and which is unheard of because his father had become an enemy to him so monarchies that's what they would they would kill all of them this is a possible threat to the things exactly but but if you understand that the promise that god made to david was that one of your family members will forever be on the throne and one of his family members is on the throne right now jesus came through the natural lineage of david but this jesus has your name in his mouth lord this jesus got my name in his mouth this jesus is asking is there any more rightful heirs in the lineage because i want to make my glory scene in their lives i'm just i'm ready i'm expecting amen every conversation i'm in i'm anticipating god magnifying himself glorifying himself getting glory for himself and doing stuff see mephibosheth couldn't glory and none of that that happened amen but nothing mephibosheth could have done amen that made so don't get the idea that our forgiveness or our faithfulness or or any stuff is earning anything get the ideas making room for something jesus christ it's making it's enlarging capacity amen amen that's beautiful i'm hype tonight yes i'm sensing god in this tonight i hadn't even anticipated this like this what they saying to us when god's glory gets on a human being god stretches us don't be so consumed with the world or present this is uh tracy yeah yeah you'll be so consumed with the world of present circumstances our most difficult times will lead to the greatest seasons of fruitfulness it's true praise god that's good so true that's good some of those those seasons of pruning are followed by seasons of incredible fruitfulness oh come on deb tucker so deb i can feel it too i if you were in this room with us i hope the holy ghost is coming through this hd camera like he's filling this room i hadn't even anticipated all this tonight thank you jesus and i pray your but but i pray you are anticipating this that's good amen amen betty bullock oh yeah y'all catching it large and large and large yeah yeah yeah god wants to do god has planned to do god is intending to do but the truth of the matter is if the glory of god and and the goodness of god and even let me just say this since god is good and he is glorious if the intentions of god if some of y'all feel like i'm i'm preaching name it claim it or you know he preaching that wellness and health i'm preaching jesus right you know but but but if the intentions of god even come on our lives and we haven't prepared ourselves with this five uh ingredient prescription you're giving it'll destroy you amen it'll destroy you this we see this with saul exactly saul entered into he was the first king of god's nation and it destroyed his life not even destroyed him destroyed his kids everybody yes exactly exactly because he couldn't humble himself when he he couldn't humble himself to obey the commandment of god when god told him to kill all the amalekites because he was afraid that the people uh wouldn't like it if he killed and destroyed everything no faithfulness exactly no humility that's it see that's it that's it and that a lot that and that scripture always struck me because god says if you would have done this yeah okay yeah if you would have been faithful in this if you would have humbled yourself in this then i would have established your kingdom forever creighton crichton said elder that message was on point called straight conviction did he put a bicep up there yeah that's good hope y'all hear what the lord is saying tonight we just want to pray we we can't preach at all tonight but uh i want to encourage you to go back and listen to that sermon tonight and uh just listen to it slow with your journal out and write the things that the spirit of god is magnifying to you personally i want you to understand that when a message is preached this isn't like you go into your closet you got a catalog yeah i think i'm gonna go ahead and do this one it should no this this literally is god has a catalog and he's going in and putting in in in this man's heart this is what i want you to proclaim god even set it up so i wasn't here so he bring him in and proclaim he's he's providentially in the details uh and interrupted uh what we would have thought was the series to put an ingredient that he wanted in the series you know we couldn't do anything else oh my god i talked about it this morning we just this mess wasn't supposed to be a part of the beyond series but afterwards preach he said what else could we do because it's forcing us to look beyond where we would have looked praise god so other might want you just uh y'all have any prayer requests tonight anybody uh need prayer as you've heard particularly around what we've heard tonight around what the lord has shared and said tonight um yes yes where is he stretching you where are you do you feel you need prayer in that area of where you you feel god stretching you whether it's in the area of sacrifice or in the area of submission that you need to be he's stretching you know you may not even want to be stretched there but you just sense of them stretching you there uh wherever you want us to pray for you uh that those areas just put that in tonight i believe god is uh he's preparing us for his glory and uh that that thought of us uh even the thought of the lord showed me about our humility if we are not humble then when the glory comes us on us then we want to accept the pride yeah we want to accept the glory we want to take it for ourselves but when we're humble uh we know that we look to him hey he's the one who gave us this he's the one who didn't god gets all the glory otherwise that can like you just say it'll destroy us it'll correct us yeah and we think if we did it it's in our own power our own might and then we're actually walking in line or in step with the enemy yeah and the enemy is constantly trying to usurp trying to covet trying to hijack the glory of god he he did it from the beginning when he saw and we started the series here he did it from the beginning when he saw the eternal purpose of god was to extend the glory of god that was in heaven into the earth realm through his image bearers he couldn't bear it and and he still is intimidated by the glory of god he's still intimidated by the internal purposes of god he's still intended by the intents of god and he looks to interrupt that always when he can to try to get us caught into something self-serving when god has already served us in his plans if we would enter into his plans you're in the plan praise god like you said if you would have just did what i told you i was going to get you he was in the plane yes exactly and he tried to make up a plane come on y'all brenda paris uh is praying for submission deb i'm with you on that i reached out to uh one of your family members today trying to get him on the phone and i'm still trying to do that then but yeah we're gonna pray for your family uh tonight debs asks for prayer for a family um brenda parish ask for help in this area of submission we're going to pick these up any others y'all we can ray pray now please god any any other requests we're going we're going to pray right now uh you're welcome deb love you sis love your family love y'all y'all tuckers are good godly people yeah all right um you want to pray for deb's family you will pray for submission which one you want to pick up i'll pick up one and uh we'll pray and then we'll pray over everybody tonight amen amen brenda parish is uh said pray for submission okay i'll pray for that yeah gary bryant praying for his family so we pick up gary we're going to try to really pick them all up we ain't going to pray long but we're going to pray with the holy ghost health praise god yeah that's god holy spirit we thank you just for uh the insight and the wisdom and that you shared uh imparted to us thank you lord that our ears are open to here our eyes are open to see you working and our hearts are ready to receive we received your word now let it bring forth good fruit 30 16 100. uh we pray lord for those who are being stretched right now uh by your will by your call you're calling us to a greater depth the greatest stretching and pulling in different areas and for brenda who says you know senses a pool and someone is a missional i pray right now in the name of jesus her heart will be ready and open to receive uh and yield to your plans and your purposes that she won't have her agenda out and right now this is how it's gonna happen she'll trust you lord to give her the direction and the insight how to flow in the spirit in the name and then she'll she'll just flow because she'll have to she wants everything structured and i pray lord that she'll submit to your timing in the name of jesus and lord we bring before you right now the tucker family and the bryant family uh lord jesus they they both are praying that you would be intervening in the details of their family yes lord the lord god we thank you that uh it is your desire uh that the will of heaven would be manifested in the earth so as we speak out these family names we speak out other family names that would have loved to have gotten their name in the chat god we thank you for interrupting uh the the momentum of destruction in families we thank you lord god for interrupting the course of sickness and family thank you lord for interrupting emotional and mental health failure in families through god we thank you god that where provision has run short that like elijah you will lead people to the the widows places that you've set up god where there is provision for them god we believe god that as father yes you care for family yes thank you lord god for making your name known and you're showing yourself strong thank you and the bryant the tucker and the others that have wanted prayer tonight air their family we believe this happens tonight for them that this movement tonight uh in the name of jesus glory hey y'all it was good to be with you uh i always enjoyed teaming up with my brother elder mike and uh
