Beverly vs Danvers High School Football 10/12/18

[Music] [Music] [Applause] we're a year at Danvers High School with Bev cam channel 22 Alex Alou co joined by Ryan Delaney Ryan how are you doing today outstanding how are you I am doing wonderful ready for this beautiful beautiful night to give us some high school football Danvers High School coming in at 5:00 in Oh Beverly at two and three Beverly having a lackluster last few seasons after having a great season three years ago but they do have some studs on their team but this Danvers team looks really really good ranked 32 in the state according to maps perhaps 15th in the state according to the Herald and Boston Globe has them sitting at 17 this is gonna be a good game I'm saying that right now Ryan do you believe me yes sir why wouldn't it be nice crisp fall evening we had two good teams beautiful day today I was ready ready for football as soon as I woke up I mean it was a little rainy well rainy but weather got a little better ladies and gentlemen tonight the cheerleaders would like to say welcome we have a dance version on the field now still awaiting Panthers coach by Andrew Morenci formerly of Hamilton Wenham brought them to a Super Bowl their had high hopes he did coming into his tenure at Beverly still looking to see that improvement that he was going to bring and I do believe it will come eventually looking at the division three North standings Danvers atop of that at five and OH you have Lin English in Tewksbury down there at four and one Belmont at three and 2 along with Winchester Billerica at two and to Concord Carlisle also at two into classical sitting there with Beverly at two and three Malden Catholic one in three Arlington rounding it out at one in four yeah not looking good for the Panthers but this Danvers team they have a couple studs there as well wins over mask Oh Peabody Medford Malden and classical this year Matt McCarthy 239 yards and three touchdowns Marcelin classical Matt game that was like me when I played Matt and a few years ago with my creative player I ran all over every defense I you I played against tends to be the case again they're too big match okay um yeah I mean like I hadn't had one a few years but I got the new one uh-huh yeah it's not bad was it big NC double-a guy until they ripped that away from us I don't want to talk about that yeah I don't want to talk about that Beverly making their way in the field now wearing the white jerseys black pants definitely winning the uniform battle tonight uniform battle definitely being won by the parent there's always crisp yeah I like the black black of the orange it always looks nice that that Clemson look obviously Clemson is wearing black no yeah Danvers I don't hate it but I don't know the the silver is just not doing it for me yeah they're Beverly on their home games they have the black trees I've always wanted them to wear alternate oranges well II need some oranges Roberts giving me that stinky I don't know he's agreeing with me how he agrees eat better nothing like a nice orange jersey well the whole of Cincinnati Bengals look going to us going out there with the captains Parsons Bearer and Adams captains for the Panthers few teams in the North Shore sitting at five and Oh Dandridge is one of them as we've already said Marblehead and Gloucester also sitting at five and Oh Danvers will be receiving the opening kickoff those two teams are playing tonight Marblehead in Gloucester so there will be who knows maybe only one undefeated team left in that group Panthers come can come in here and I want to say shock the world at least the North Shore seen it before no freshman on the Beverly roster something to note yeah means they're ready now yeah ladies and gentlement this time we ask you to please rise and remove your caps we're gonna honor Mary Wright backing of our nationally at F the national board by the Danvers High School Falcon marching band [Applause] almost ready to start it off here at Danvers High School always a fan of those those Cheers very short concise to the point yeah okay complain no cannot athletes for sure Falcons will be receiving the opening kickoff from the Panthers lombardia McCarthy back to the Falcons [Applause] and the kick is off field at about the 12 getting a couple blocks going over to the outside a couple cuts cuts back in he's at the 40 he'll be forced out of bounds offense I'll return there the return was Ezra Lombardi jr. at about a 30 yard return for the Falcons it'll start from the 42 good starting field position red dangerous see if they can do something with it tree see and the Falcon offense as you said great field position to start free back set for the Falcons you quick handoff over to the left trying to cut it in but he stopped for a loss gonna be McCarthy the senior captain no game second loss of less than yard there good push from Beverly up front to start and you're gonna need that from this Beverly defensive line against this running attack from the Falcons can be a play-action pass to the flat stopped in his tracks break form town replay right there number 23 from Barbie for the Panthers transy come please Jay Sean Jones with that tackle got that low pad level just drove them backwards big third down come up here third down play it's gonna be about third eight about eight and Beverly's had some trouble stopping teams on third downs crucial one for both teams on the opening drive could be some momentum early here if they get this in the shotgun three receivers laughs nothing oh he's at the 40 the 30 now making a few people miss he'll be brought down at the 20 in Panther territory and that's not what you want damp the absolute opposite of what they would have wanted there especially they've been struggling on third down all season and then you got a third I'm necessary long but third and medium manageable but definitely one you should stop and then you let up that big gain in there for over 30 yards now they're into their territory in the Momentum's all of Denver's side so they gotta hold him here about nine ten left to go in the first it's a 37 yard completion for Tracy in this offense back to three back set receiver the bottom handoff up the gut gain a few yards on that maybe four or five okay the other carry four yard gain for McCarthy only three yards on these ones to carry six not terrible they're our first down though that's you're looking to do four or five yards get you set up second and medium and to see a lot of that from this Danvers offense same formation another handoff over to the right he gets the corner brought down from behind however good enough for the first down I think though tackle was made by Duncan Moreland basketball star that's enough for damage for the same person both in the 9 yard line first and goal for the Falcons lone receiver left gonna hand it off to McCarthy's balzac in the air there's a flag on the field Beverly recovers the fumble but there is a play it's gonna meters think looks like you ever hope so that'll do the family will take possession they're very close to their own end zone and they caught a break there so that's that's different than collagen is dead ball false start so other wall was staying with Danvers there nothing up Erin that's how it works I'm not I'll brushed up my high school football rules meaning you me and you both my friend me and you both shaking off the rust so Beverly will set up shop there on an 11 yard line me handoff over to the left stopped I'd really see what happened on that fumble is I think you just mishandled a snap or the handoff they're clicking the Calpine with that carry for the Panthers three yards on that game so let's see what Beverly can do with this now I got that big stop deep in their own territory though kalpen and Moreland have been the two that have driven this team for the success they've had this season toss play he's gonna cut it up gang tackled after a gain of 12 Oh like I think he was down carried by number 44 my Lumbo good old Marge Mille humble the 4-yard carry there for the Panthers on second down can be third and short see danvers stack in the box and you play action rolling left to the flat catch made he turns out links the guy missed gets past the sticks Beverly first down on their first possession out to about the 25 big pick up there good throw whatever a word get it made that nice moving that tackle there big pickup didn't want to go three and out there Beverly now with some distance behind them at their own 26 bear under center for the Panthers Moreland in motion quick slant the hey no man to catch for a first down good grab over there come over the middle who's gonna take a hit put your hand in there tough 13 yard completion bear now 2 for 2 on the opening drive you saw danvers tack in the box on that first set of downs still in that third down they respect and run there I think the play-action kind of off guard still almost got the stop but nice moving that tackle gonna be handoff left tripped up right at the line of scrimmage McDowell out on the carries MacAlpine 2 yard gain couple good drives to start tonight taking a good chunk of time off the clock five and a half in the first still a good distance to go though for Beverly started back at their own 10 moving the ball nicely though so far three receivers to the left back to his left Behr makes a man miss he's gonna run for it going for the first down he got close we'll see if he got it thought he was going to try to get out of bounds there good decision the option there looks like he might have thought about handing that off at first and he said I got two guys in his face but he made a nice move there go to the outside third down and very short Beverly already converting a third down on this Drive interesting to see what they do here [Music] handoff to the right that's not Alpine he gets the first he's going from Morris McGarry he got hit at about the 50 that's enough for about five or six more yards and we have a player down on the field wearing white and black it looks like Ryan bear the quarterback for the Panthers senior captain and that's not true we'll cut that we better it was hard to tell what happened there and just some mcalpine hit the hole carry a few Falcons with them I don't know being helped off the field number 53 Chris Curran junior lineman in linebacker on the team hope he's alright he's limping off first and 10 the Danvers 45 for bearer in the Panthers play action rolling right that's wide open hole I don't you saw 85 there he was looking pass intended for number 20 and reveal looking for a villa in the flat there 85 Bobby Adams they get a step on the defender but I don't think you saw him so an incomplete couple of yards lots gonna be third it's gonna be a lot to love to burden whoa another big third down for the Panthers they've eaten a lot of time from this clock in the first but to beat this Falcons team you get to put points on the board thought about long drives and pin him in I'm hitting them back yeah they got that field position back for sure with his Drive no matter what happens here three receivers set looking left the whole time caught by Moreland very close to the sticks think he got it with that spot gonna be close yep I thought he was swatting it right around the 35 at first moved about a yard back fourth and one you're on there 31 I say go for it go for it teams at 2 and 3 going against the juggernaut you got to get some points here chance to really steal someone went to back here especially after that fumble nice drive down the field see what they do here no he lost it he was already down that's tough first and 10 [Applause] Falcons taking over on downs the 33 not as good as their field position on their first drive but I'm sure they'll take it after having their offense rested for quite some time in this first 227 yeah they're gonna be disappointed with that top snap there mishandle they kind of owns what we saw on the fumble which is by Danvers but he recovered it but he was already down in the backfield though also being interested in any Denver's Falcon merchandise please hit the merchandise tents located next to the bathrooms play on first down little fullback give he's taking it at least 20 up to the 30-yard line of the Panthers huge run to start here as a trap play on the carry from the Falcons get that hole nicely had a lot of room that outside big chunk gain to start thought he might have been gone there for a second but those guys caught of mine it's a 32-yard person 10 Beverly 30-yard line [Music] first and ten on the Beverly 30 another hand off brought down in the backfield McCarthy's had a hard time getting things going in the first couple drives for the Falcons philosophy one second down 11 clock ticking down 144 left to go in the first second down 11 play-action gonna roll left no one there he's gonna run it it's gonna take what the defense will give them univ about six pump-faked after the line of scrimmage that I was interesting something I would do same with a deshaun Watson picks down to the 25 so making it third manageable third and five good play by the quarterback there nothing was there big opportunity for the Beverley defense see you think I'm up with a big stop get that ball back Danvers converting their lone third down attempt earlier in the quarter stuff there at the line of scrimmage little misdirection didn't work for him though gain of a couple stretch of the carry it's a gain of two four thousand three looks like they're gonna go for it to be huge for this Beverly defense two stops on two drives when offenses potent is this just under a minute left to go in the first snap another handoff McCarthy hit in the hole we closed the first looks like with that push not blowing at that till now that's McCarthy on the carry looks like it's going to be a measurement it's a good spot that's enough for a first down sputter right at that 20 Danvers 1st and 10 from the Beverly 20 [Music] another three back set toss left McCarthy rock down around the corner maybe for a loss of about a half a yard maybe one great stop by Mille Umba on the outside there get McCarthy from behind looks like a might of a horse a little bit but I think he was all right tackle at the end of one first quarter still mate 0-0 at first quarter yeah only on our third drive here Danvers started it and turned it over in the Beverly red zone until it's Everly brought it to the 32 yard line 20 guys we're Danvers and they're taking over and they're going to continue that drive never come back baseball's he gonna be second in 11:20 wanna named after an illustrious 31-year career as the leader of the Falcons having earned 506 wins 18 Northeast Conference titles five sectional championship oh really in the 2001 Division 2 state champion understand in addition his teams appeared in 27 state tournaments and enjoyed 11 seasons with 20 wins or more coach they also coached football the both Sanders and Beverly high schools please join me in thanking coach day for his many contributions over the years to Danvers High School Athletics and the young men of this community [Applause] once again its second and 11 for Danvers on the Beverly 21 yard line Falcons gonna look to punch one in on their second drive after a loss of one Danvers starts the second quarter Beverly 21 tripped up by McCarthy yeah six or seven maybe eight on that carry good broken zactly they had him stopped after buddy yards Davis 7 doesn't run a team yard-line I'd be third down and 4 McCarthy's largest carry the game so far is that a couple for a loss another third down third and five third and long for in the Beverly 14 1 receiver left and he handoff to McCarthy and they were there good stop there have been very impressive and stopping majority of the play the opening quarter and change of this game Danvers gonna go for another fourth big chance with Beverly again see what they can do with it converted their last attempt we're gonna have a timeout called by Danvers and I have 46 dinners let's go in this second quarter last time they were in a fourth down they gave it a McCarthy [Music] and we're gonna get a flag why I have a feel that's an illegal substitution substitution for the Falcon so it's fourth down just got a little more difficult yeah gonna be about fourth and nine now definitely not to change the play they were calling your client your chair often stand on the field though if you're not trusting a college kicker at the end of a game can't imagine what you'd be doing in high school three receivers set in the shotgun Beverly tending to overcommit on these third and fourth downs on the run has to come back to make the play any because good tackle by red Shawn Jones get it but Jones was following them the whole time great stop and turnover on downs on their own those receivers stacked on the right side out they're gonna go over there but looked away from it I don't know how open they were but still a good play by the Beverly Dee we're getting that ball back by the Davis High School football boosters scoring a raffle on 940 play go in the first half the tickets are $25 apiece burning at over ground center first drive $500 for third place turnover knowledge a deposit to win if you are interested in this everyone's done in turnover so far her today pen see if Beverly can change that a little flea flicker action bearer deep to the right and we're gonna get ie pass interference call not sure if it's gonna be offensive or defensive as intended and a good 5 thats blatant p i it's unfortunate for defensive back there a little under thrown but you gotta be aware the ball around a note so you ran back into them but i mean that's how it works that you gotta gonna be where the ball is at all times it's a little party had a step on him too for a little bit but I mean that was a tough throw 40 50 yards it's a 15 yard penalty but I worked out first and ten from the 37 10 I like that call on first down to first play of the drive try to air it out Danvers stack in the box toss left it's mcalpine trying to get around the corner he does and he gets stuff to the opposite side line every gain of maybe one on the play a long one Deena - even better Panthers out in that same formation you seen a couple play actions to the flat pushy with Danvers stack in the box and have a trap fullback coming over and he's gonna get stopped for a loss yeah I know what they wanted they're gonna be third and long 2000 carry another third down for the Panthers third down in ten they've had some success with Moreland seem to be mixing in a little a good mix of run and pass when Danvers needs me thrown on the ball a lot but that's high school football Panthers coming out with three receivers to with the top one back to the left pass all the way passing wide open at the sticks first down to the 50 that's Duncan Moreland and he's been the guy that bear has been looking to in these situations nice little curl route right there hit Moreland defender was wound up line up too far off him and he just bit on it Beverly converting a third down three receivers play-action bear makes a man miss in the pocket thinking about taking it himself spins up to the line of scrimmage but he'll lose on that play a better second down looks like more than one even open downfield but he had no time to get that ball off rolling out the field for this play seven and a half left to go in the first second and ten at the fifty danvers almost jumping their coach Morenci wanting a call but not getting one in MacAlpine stuffed at the line of scrimmage another good stop by that Danvers D they definitely jumped there I didn't say don't cross the line though so nothing there I think if I mean maybe if Beverly flinched I would have called something but reminiscent of the pass game few weeks ago to soon have the clip mm-hmm you could play it you could although we probably shouldn't it's true Beverly already converting 1/3 down you know Danvers is looking at Moreland three receivers left running back to the left of bear as well in the shotgun looking left and incomplete we're at half fourth and long Parsons yeah a little high therefore even if he caught that not sure yeah I don't think he would have picked it up there's guys all over them and see our first punt of the night 6:30 to left in the first half still scoreless in Danvers punt loss Danvers is going to not to only jump on to put grab it and take it for a few yards they'll have it at the Panthers 41 yard line in momentum completely shifted their thought you were gonna be able to pin Danvers back deep but the block punt and an injured punter on the play it's Declan Alexander a strategy that got in there yeah I don't think he I don't think he got that off too slow it's like it was fine I just think they tough time block in there there was three four guys all in his face that's not really on the punter that happens I don't think Danvers held off the board thus far but with their best field position we'll see if they can put one on 6:24 left hand off to McCarthy and he's been getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage every time he touches the ball his long carries of seven yards that's not what you're used to seeing from him in his office so credit to Beverly's defense up front sniffing those plays out it was really that only big chunk gain from the fullback in that first quarter on the near sideline that Beverly looked out of place tonight yeah for sure it never had to decently big plays but other than that they haven't had much going Beverly's I think move the ball a little better but their drives having really materialized than anything so far second down mccarthy trying to bounce it left he gets stopped by mille Umba in the backfield loss of four yards on that this Beverly defense is doing their job Wow yeah McCarthy's been been stopped all night it's got nothing going so far that Beverly D's been tough on him and she with first contact only a loss of two there so third and 12 Danvers converting that first third down attempt in the first quarter and a pass play to the left come out with trips right and one back in the shotgun rolling right looking for a target over to the sidelines catch he made the catch but was he out of bounds incomplete and no catch will you talk to see from here what official right there I think he got it one drive after seeing our first punt will see the second it's one from Danvers nobody back to Eden now Moreland's heading back there looked like they were ready for Danvers to run a play and they might do it he's got a lot of room to run right at the sticks go see how he market it is right at that sticks gonna depend on the spot close you'll see Danvers taking advantage and there's a single nurse down Beverly was confused there they thought they were gonna go for it so they had their defense out there but quickly just through Moreland back and sort of had a makeshift punt return team he had a lot of grass there gutsy call there with a fake punt run don't hate it he on a fourth and 12 the way this game is going Danvers wants to put some points on the board four and a half left to go new set of downs on the Beverly 31 one receiver right hand off the McCarthy stopped again on the carry the loss of one second down 11 and get a timeout from Danvers their second 352 left to go in this second quarter and no points put up in the first half but some big plays that fake punt run by the Falcons definitely the most notable of the bunch your share credit to Danvers for noticing Beverly neither seem to have a defense on the field or a punt return team yeah Beverly look a little confused as soon as that play was getting lined up there Marlin wasn't back to our turn he'll think he's confused about something and I don't know if Danvers they are wasn't that or they they had that call all the way but yeah good call by them second and long two receivers 20 back in a four back gonna get a flag McCarthy with the handoff looks like a little legal movement illegal formation there he was still moving through the carry I think you're I think it's going to be on that end in motion a false start there's yeah he's still a motion to the right side of the line as he snapped the ball can be a five-yard penalty so second and 16 now bringing up a second down in sixteen three forty five and Counting in the first half these two NEC teams playing to a stalemate maybe gonna get the same play call making sure he gets set this time not sure what went on there if it was planned the quarterback keeper maybe he just fumbled the snap and just trying to get down the either way it's third and long that looked like the design play I mean there was nobody really in his face and I don't think you phone with a snap at all that's interesting call there but we'll see what happens up there down 16 13 16 three receivers in the back two at the top of your screen rolling right making the throw in caught by McCarthy he's brought down has completed to the round the 22 yard line closing would knock down st. fourth down B fourth and very short that's a gain of 15 bringing up a fourth down in one Beverley stood strong on these plays the entire first half we'll see if Danvers can tilt this one in their favor 222 left to go in the first half three back set for the Falcons Beverly stack in the box they know what's coming quarterback keeper and that should be good first down definitely got it no doubt it and that's a first down so on the play they call to place previously thank God stuff in Beverly nine quarterback keeper to get the first down on the fourth down to get into the red zone of Beverly there on the 19 yeah it's big here with two minutes to go try to get some points before the half [Music] Beverly gets ball at half though so two receivers left Karthi in the backfield he'll get the call again and he'll get stuffed again behind the line of scrimmage impressive job by this beverley defense especially up front coffee on the carry lots of two second down to 12 run in the hurry up now three receivers to to the top of your screen one running back right low snap rolling right same play we've seen a few times he'll just throw it away had nothing there good coverage last time they ran a McCarthy we got close to that first down 12 yards yeah Beverly definitely sniffed that one out this time everyone was locked down he had nothing on that play made it 18 in the first another third and long we've seen a few of those early on in this game this one going by very quick big third down here three receivers set single back trying to get Beverly to jump and he'll switch to the shotgun rolling right might see that same play we do McCarthy was bumped by the back right before then but that pass was not catchable we've seen that play four times about from the Falcons offense good block there by Lombardi fortunately it didn't end up in anything but another fourth down fourth and 12 from the Beverly 21 three receivers set again alone back looking left the McCarthy diving couldn't make the play valiant effort has intended McCarthy incomplete that really will take over first and it was a pretty good throw to own where his receivers are getting just a little too far for McCarthy who was diving and stretching out for that one turnover on downs Beverly will have possession their own 21 with a minute 7 left to go they get the ball start the second half that they'll see if they try to push it here or there content with just not turning the ball over and getting the ball at the second half tide going in two receivers left bearer looking to throw he'll tuck it and run he's got some rum he'll get the first down up to the 35 yard line 14 yard gain for the quarterback to move that was a nice play looks like you may add someone at first but first once he saw that coverage not about decision there timeout Beverly after that chunk run from bear 58 seconds left to go in the first half bear when having to run the ball tonight he has been successful in doing so his largest game on that play and you saw earlier on that option in the first quarter - made a couple people miss got close to a first down as well Beverly looking to score here three receivers one back looking left now over the middle almost picked off by McCarthy intended formal umba and McCarthy was watching that one the whole way yeah McCarthy read that one the whole way and a little too high there for anyone to get to it though he took six seconds off the clock we're at 52 now to back set two receivers using those backs as blockers Morlan gonna keep it himself excuse me that's bear he'll have a gain of about five or six I'm gonna get another timeout you know coming from the Panthers six hours prior to that third down play rincey calling him over talk it over balls at the Beverly 41 when they've had success throwing it it's been Moreland on the outside and that one catch over the middle but you'd like to think Bearer it's gonna have one target gonna be Moreland and if he's not there he's gonna tuck it and run yeah it seems what we've seen from that often so far on these passing plays he hasn't done a bad job with a ball either seen him target Parsons a couple times tonight not as much as we're used to seeing three receivers again Moreland the bottom of your screen keep an eye on him there looking his way it's going for it a little high nobody could catch that 133 the clock reads fourth in five see what the Panthers gonna do here they go for it and can't convert Danvers has it on their territory but you know that blocked punt is in the back of their minds it's like he's keeping the offense on the field three receivers again Moreland at the bottom of your screen he was open as an arrow and quick player is gonna punt that one Danvers defense not ready for it bear has been the punter in the past Moreland down there to down it for the Panthers inside 20 seconds left to go in the first half Danvers has it there all night great punt there in that quick punt got him down inside the 10 almost no room to work with there to I assume a little niat here no I take any chances but we'll see Danvers gonna run a play gain of about six or seven feeling to carry looks like this clocks just gonna run down to the end of this first half so at the end of the first half a stalemate between these two teams 0:04 that we've sent Moreland making a few catches him using bear run for a little bit for the Panthers and it's clear that Danvers is going to run live and die with McCarthy for sure yeah that they're going to whether it's running pass well yeah just a defensive battle here good job old offenses a lot of bend don't break both teams that drives a new contest area I know I peak physical condition like I was in basketball season but we're getting there soon it's winter season everyone else is bulking your boys trimming down now it's supposed to be done love it because my body gets so warm I don't need all that moisture heat yeah I'm all ready I'm just a radiator crazy uh internal temp yeah hopefully see some points here I have a feeling we're gonna see some points in this half someone's got to score I mean that's how that's how the game works even starting the line at plus 325 if we see a onside kick here plus 325 over-under two and a half points oh if you bet on side kick up plus 325 you might be right I don't know if that was a squib or an on side but Beverley takes it out to the 33 right now they will start first in ten of their own 33 got word that Marvel had his thumping Gloucester 27-6 after the first half interesting the other two unbeaten teams besides Danvers we'll see what Beverly does on their opening drive this half see if Parsons gets into the mix here it's only had believe two targets so far in this game and he handed off running right up the gut means a few more yards than expected on the initial look at that play believe it's gain of mean they've done a good job picking it up too so the most part so last time you saw a QB keeper I might expect to see that again there in that fake pawn earlier too but I think that it's gonna straight up go for this one big opportunity for that Beverly defense two receivers one running back Tracy understand er he's gonna sneak this and he's got it forward for the first down didn't get it on that initial effort but second effort and then a good push by that offensive line got him there they keep the drive alive big form they end up winning this game he should be mine and all of his keep it himself he's got some yards in front of them elects to keep it good run might be inside the 10 out of about the 11 good for a first down though we've seen Beverly's brightest players come alive here in this Drive huge catch from Moreland to start it then you saw MacAlpine with the catch and run yeah great place all around that was huge too on third down for a couple incompletions they probably shrunk had about 35 pounds to it so picture me but a little lighter for those of your home what you think could have been a kicker that have been seems to be some confusion in the Beverly offense here trying to get this set up Mille um but confused see Parsons also confuse you have two backs two receivers going to Moreland but bear is going to keep it himself he I don't know what two extra points so far I think this is the same kid right so and so will be a different holder though if they do attempt this kick so it could be interesting kicks were not great either second one but yeah I don't think this is gonna be the problem you know Danvers is thinking the same thing they're watching Moreland oh yeah Parsons only welcome the coverage those guys can make plays though you've seen it MacAlpine he's big they throw him a pass a little take he's in the backfield in this play 13 unanswered from the Falcons Beverly looking to take this one in the fourth going to Moreland up he got it wanna play Duncan Moreland cool touchdown tonight from bearer and he'll be the big man on campus if Beverly can hold this 12 seconds still at 24 seconds to left in this game but Duncan Moreland dunking on the Falcons here tonight to Hodge down wolf on - unbelievable catches did they score too fast though embrace the bait [Applause] Beverly takes lead with that 1813 great job by Beverly on that drive way to respond momentum was not in their favor at all the extra point attempt from Loretta his third one got this one is good through the uprights it was a little upset he didn't get the shot at that field sweep yeah I think you think he wanted the little Redemption moment there but didn't matter it's gonna get the win hopefully hopefully 24 seconds left on the clock we all know what happened in the last special teams crew big kick there for him though either way that was a big kick because now I mean forced them to make that extra point if they do score but again yeah great drive by Beverly there so be Beverly's second win in a row and going down the stretch after tonight they will play at home against Peabody before the Thanksgiving game which will also be home of course that one against Salem so Beverly looking to put together a few string of wins here think playoffs is in between that stretch to I don't know how the playoff system works anymore it's upsetting it used to be it was all after the Thanksgiving game where we played I went through North reading we played Lindfield Thanksgiving once and the winner of that was the Super Bowl Maya works anymore Beverly leads by six all of the points in this game have been scored in the second half to stalemate going into that little squib kick picked up by Lombardi faked the lateral to McCarthy he takes it out to the twenty eighth nineteen seconds on the lock the Lombardi in the Falcons to try to get some points on the board but even if you score touchdown got to get that extra point or two every makers in his kick earlier was good though he looked good but I mean it's high school you never know I also never understood how it was easier to kick it off the tee cuz you had to place it on it and SWAT it perfectly I mean I guess it isn't you get a good hold but Lombardi for wide excuse me three wide the back to his right Stuart died here for the Falcons Lombardi trying to knock that I marthy look like you saw Hail Mary that way eight yards might see a little pitchy pitchy woohoo well hook-and-ladder that what that is pitchy pitch you oh yeah that's what we try to run in the Super Bowl without Dion Lewis didn't work out too well clock reads 13 seconds [Applause] [Music] Beverly sidelines fired up Danvers a bit somber on the opposite end Lombardi looking left caught brought down immediately by the Beverly defense incomplete I think unbelievable game from Marlin tonight who's Anderson made that tackle on the opposite end Mikey Anderson has had himself a night as well yeah he's been a great job on defense especially in that two-point conversion the last Drive great knock down Danvers gonna call timeout here with eight seconds left we're on 28 third and 10 going with the start the bus's chant except they're at home so they didn't take the buses here so that's interesting yeah yeah banjos Beverly's intellect I'm from there and I can agree that they probably think they're at a neutral site right now no offense to you Beverley fans but you don't always show out parents are great though we love the moorlands among others eight seconds left Lombardi three receivers to the right under some pressure he's rolling chucks one up in a sea of white knocked down and it's over eight seconds expired on that play in this game is done the Panthers survived by a score of 19 this was a stalemate a first down 0-0 going into the second half Thurman comes out the first drive and scores gets a stop their next drive they score and then we had that 30-minute layover for that injury Danvers comes rolling back they score on that possession and then they score on a muffed punt that they brought back to the house 80 yards in that last Drive let's talk about that Beverly they put up they didn't shut up they put up on that Drive McAlpine bailed them out great run after the catch in Moreland in the end zone yeah for sure I mean that was all mental was against them and what they they had nothing looked like they were just I mean they were they fought hard and then they went down and I wasn't sure what they could do in that last Drive but they they showed some guts there and then especially that play by McAlpine that was that was a key play of that drive that big third down pickup got him down inside near the 20 and then a couple couple dicey plays down there at the end then that third down touchdown to Moreland unbelievable great touchdowns by him two great catches he our great game he went up and grabbed both of those two touchdowns there Mikey Anderson a couple good bat downs on the defensive side you had MacAlpine running rikshaw through this danvers defense in the second half but Ryan berry can't say enough about threw for two ran for one he was there getting first downs protecting the ball didn't turn the ball over once tonight I would give him my player of the game just cuz how he stood the test of time throughout this game especially when it counted in the fourth quarter leading his team to a touchdown for sure uh for me it's Moreland I think those those two catches I mean they were good throws why Berra too but he made those plays got inside position put the receivers both on especially the second one I didn't think yous gonna make that play still the guy around and made the catch over him that height difference then he had some great plays on defense two of the defense played well the entire game too especially uh Mikey Anderson to that that good two-point conversion pass break up and then a couple of big plays now last Drive there if Bobby Adams was in there for a couple sacks and I'd had a bat down he also had a big catch to catapult the Panthers to their first score Beverly now moves on to three and three Danvers losses they fall the five and one Beverly looking to get some momentum down the stretch hopefully get a playoff run they've got Peabody coming up next week Salem will follow we will see what happens Beverly though you gotta be Peabody that'll be people yeah but yeah enjoy this now and I'm sure I'll get back to work this week and then hopefully they can carry this momentum in a beauty thank you
