need to catch a love disc or you know thief multiple love discs to get the heart scales i already have enough so that's gonna be a big thing like if you just spend time in the underground gameplay everywhere is rewarded next tip finding the ivs of your pokemon for competitive or breeding so in the boxes you can press plus on a pokemon and it'll show you the stats or the ivs of the pokemon but first you need to unlock the judge feature judge feature is unlocked in the battle tower so where you used to get the pokemon evaluation top of this dude just gives you a judge function it's like modern pokemon it's pretty awesome uh you do have to beat the game but you don't need the national decks for this so you beat the elite four go to the battle tower talk to the guy judge feature gg easy now i know i'm going to be getting a lot of comments why do you have a full team of ambipom full team of ambipom for pickup because pickup is broken in pokemon brilliant diamond shining pearl so my post game strategy is just running around with a full team of ambipom because ambi palm is the strongest pickup pokemon in brilliant diamond shining pearl can go like covet last resort fake out last resort or just something last resort do a lot of damage double hit is also pretty good but you don't have the technician so not really that insane return is still removed from pokemon's sworn shield so unfortunately you don't have that on the envy palm but still a fast high damage pokemon so you can use it to just kind of fight anything along the way and the higher level it is the better the items get so notable items peepee up incredible for competitive destiny not that's also gonna be for breeding i already got my destiny knot so the cool thing is the earlier you get certain pickup pokemon like if you find a patch or used to a pickup take it if you go to the underground there's an a palm there take it if you go to the sandy underground areas after getting defog that's where you can find a palm and munchlox just have one or multiple on your team that if you already have like three pokemon they're just carrying you putting pickup in the other slots doesn't harm you in any way and it's really only a benefit so these levels are going to be one through 10 11 through 20 21 through 31 etc which means you just have a one percent chance of finding the destiny knot when pickup activates so pickup doesn't have a 100 chance after the end of a battle but overall like you'll eventually end up with a destiny knot by the end of your playthrough leftovers same thing you can also find leftovers on the munchlax max revive elixirs those are gonna be helpful bottle caps so bottle caps are very high level very in game but you you want those for the hyper training you can also get rare candies nuggets and this is also how you get the evolution stones so pickup is the only way to get extra dust stones dawn stones and shiny stones which is why it's super valuable and that's why i'm trying to go for like some kind of crazy um ambipom team now in my experience it hasn't been worth it to just have like all adamant nature ambi palms because i caught a yeah i just have all kinds of crazy stuff going on with the save file because i caught some a-palms that were already high level in the underground i also ended up with like pachirisu and munchlax and stuff so they already started off on a higher level and i was getting items from them decided to breed the zombie palm to try to get like adam and pick up across the board for strength hasn't really panned out hasn't really paid off this team of ambi palms is going to struggle in the end game especially against the elite four and gym leader rematches because they all have max ivs good eevees and items so i tried to like cheese it i don't think that's worth it so don't get too crazy just just go to the underground get like one ambi pump because that's the big carry and then like five level 60 plus pacharisu and just just go through the game there you go or if you're doing some elite four grinding or getting pokemon level 100 because you have a team for that just in that six slot put a pickup pokemon there that way you have 100 and you have access to like the bottle cap and the best odds of getting the rarest items uh here's some weirdness that's been going on in pokemon brilliant diamond and shining pearl that you should know about so if you get a special animation that plays after encountering a pokemon it means that pokemon has at least two ivs yeah what's up with the special encounter animation shows the players first time i've seen after 13 hours of playing kind of adds up because it is hard to just naturally get a pokemon with two max ivs but that is the report that's coming down here post explains it here it means the pokemon has at least two perfect ivs so grab it and they can start using that for like breeding down and stuff so the problem is currently ivs are incredibly difficult to get in pokemon brilliant diamond and shining pearl and that's because chaining is bugged there's a bug when giving flawless ivs it should be granting one flawless iv when reaching the threshold of 20 plus then two at 30 plus three at 40 plus but it only grants exactly at that threshold so that means your reward for reaching a chain 40 on the pokey radar which is harder in this generation than bro the original diamond pearl games is that you only get one shot at three ivs at the 40 chain 41 goes back to full odds so anytime you can scrape ivs together for like a breeding parent you need to take advantage of that all right now it's time to head into the grand underground because this is the core of pokemon brilliant diamond and shining pearl so what you want to do if possible is always connect to the internet because people will be getting digletts and then that will add up to the diglett bonus and make it happen faster if you're going for the diglett bonus farming for shiny hunting or for shiny statues which make it easier to get different pokemon now you should also be aware of the pokemon that can spawn in the underground and use that to augment your gameplay that i farmed on gastrodon during the story for a while because it's 4x weak to grass and i had an alakazam with grass not so i was able to ko them really quickly even though it was a lower level and then shoot ahead in experience so try to just use everything like it's kind of free form in using everything at your disposal to getting the most efficient gameplay to where it's like wait a second i can see that there's not a lot of ground type pokemon in the area where gastron spawns so what i want to do is place ground statues another thing you want to do is set up your secret base outside of a diglett spawn if you are contributing to the diglett bonus then again there's just a lot of things you can do hey get all of your friends together and then join the same code and then you can all work to farm together for the same goal also if someone else is super lucky and their secret base is like set up to have a plus three bonus instead of a plus two bonus of a pokemon can actually go to their secret base and gain that statue effect so there's just a lot of things that can be done in the underground yeah by resetting the area you can find a diglett i recommend setting up your base in a wall above the diglett that way you just press down and then you hold down because if you enter from the side you press down to exit your secret base and then you have to like go left or right to leave the secret base and collect the diglett i mean it's a little annoying but you don't have to build it above i guess i don't know that's just how i see it also i was mistaken gastrodon's found in the water area not like the sandy area i set my secret base up to another thing you want to do is talk to every stationary npc you see down here after placing the odd keystone in the hallow tower because those are the people that contribute to spirit tomb eventually unlocking when you talk to 32 of them but yeah then we can go out here we can see goodbye we can see licketsong a dratini hey there's a gastrodon so i mean let's just see how much experience we get for randomly koi'ing the gastrodon with both an overleveled and another level pokemon all right maybe if i give alakazam some vitamins that boost special attack we'll get to a one-shotting scenario also if we just give it a few more levels so that's what i mean like you just you can get to the point where you can quickly farm these higher level pokemon in the underground and since they are evolved they give decent experience rates unfortunately there's no blissey no chansey down here that would be insane that's still a good amount of experience just to quickly farm up for the pokemon down here doesn't mean like just taking everything at your disposal and then using it can really help out your gameplay especially when it's all like about the underground does the level 64 alakazam with dazzling gleam one shot the level 62 gbyte it does is the experience comparable to the gastrodon can't i can't break down like every best experience for the pokemon actually slightly less but still pretty good so i mean yeah just kind of experiment with the underground with the pokemon that you have and the pokemon that you can defeat and then just kind of see how it makes your gameplay work out and while you're in the underground you want to dig dig dig because as i've been saying everything in the underground is going to benefit your gameplay it is best to wait until you get the national decks that we have more access to different items such as the float stone which can trade for pale spheres i believe so there's like a lot of trading and a lot of digging a lot of shenanigans going on i have a guide for efficient mining in the underground that way you just kind of want to use you know the best most optimal methods to scout for items by playing in the underground with friends or with strangers maybe you get a little bit of help from them digging alongside you which is also pretty cool so yeah like the cool thing about the underground is if you have fun like this is just a fun gameplay loop you can spend hours down here i've been seeing a lot of people complain like i'm having a hard time beating the game getting the national deck so i'm spending too much time down here because the underground's fun good the underground is fun so the more time you spend down here having the fun the more you want to round be like wait i have eight hard skills i've i'm almost good to go now there really isn't a way of guaranteeing that you can find all the items in the underground sometimes you just get super unlucky and there's also no way of getting more rare items the only thing that happens is diglett bonus equals the shiny statue box but these shiny statues aren't like 100 needed they just kind of help out so it's mostly just kind of take whatever you can get in the underground and you're good to go while keeping an eye on some of the fundamentals so the hammer is better than the pick because the pick you can hit the wall 50 times before the wall breaks the hammer you can hit 25 times so the hammer is like twice as much damage to the wall but it also clears more space so if you find a good chance to use the hammer it's actually make it easier to find items and excavate that way also just kind of keep an eye on the patterns with this i can go one two three four or i can go one two three and i can save that way also like using the hammer creatively is going to help you get access to more items just making sure that you can kind of find everything and yeah it'd be like that sometimes so yeah just play the game get the rewards and then you're going to turn around be like yo i can get legendary pokemon yo i can get all these items i've got money i've got all these cool things i can do and maybe if you're like looking for pokemon it's like oh good thing i picked up that extra electric statue box because now i can find access to like now i have the plus two or plus three of the electric pokemon so like you're actually not like pretty much if you're in the underground doing like being proactive you're not wasting time you're not wasting any gameplay or anything so you shouldn't feel bad about that also while in the grand underground if you have the national decks head on over to a lava biome because you can pick up a slugma or a mad cargo and with the flame body ability it hatches eggs faster so that's going to get you ahead on breeding also just works like to have it while you're hatching pokemon even for like non-competitive breeding you might have a situation where you want that for like synchronized trying to hatch synchronize pokemon i recommend catching abra whenever you see it for the synchronized same thing with ralts not to in the underground or on some routes where you can find it route 203 has abra route 215 has abra like i said you might get into some weird breeding scenarios and just get your flame body out of the way also magby can have it but that's shining pearl exclusive just things to keep in mind as you're going for specific pokemon and the last tip is that if you're in a pinch for money these trainers on route 212 south of heart home city are still the best money making it seems right now i have a few other things i want to try out and optimize like you talk to back lot you getting me out you get to low 100 you use the payday to beat these trainers loving pickup etc and then like testing for the full numbers but like overall you really can't go wrong also heart home city has amd square if you go to anime square that's where you get the amulet coin so putting amulet coin on your pokemon also gonna be the way to get more money it's pretty good so yeah like then it comes down to optimization between like well if you want levels and money for the elite four but like i said earlier the elite four is absolutely insane because of the evs ivs and items that the trainers have but these battles go by pretty quick and they reward you a good amount of money can also use this money to buy vitamins and then vitamins are like they are in pokemon soaring shields where you can you're like unlimited you can just max out of pokemon's evs off of just by vitamins there's no limit to 10 so you can get money that way get some vitamins make your pokemon stronger farm the underground more efficiently to then take on the elite four in gym leader rematches and stuff so it all comes together for your pokemon adventure and i hope you guys enjoy the video hope you have a nice day thank you very much for
