we did it y'all we did a full round the parks tour at Universal Orlando for you we ate it all to figure out which of these weird and wacky eats are the best of the best and today we've got our totally cure rated official dfb list of the best places and things to eat when you visit the Universal Parks during your next Florida vacation hey everybody it's AJ for Disney food blog and today we are not being a Disney food blog instead of being a Universal Orlando food blog but that doesn't roll off the tongue nearly as well so let's stick to dfb Forever recently I went to Universal Orlando with a couple other members of the dfb team including Bria my script writer here and just writer extraordinaire and of course dfb Cassie was there and we wanted to eat everything literally everything and report back to all of you the very best stuff you need to try during your next visit in fact if you head over to the allers channel after this you'll see who I got to join during my last Universal visit Quincy Cassie Bria and I navigated the world of wizards and Dinos and minions together during the latest all Year's Perfect Day video collab of the century e but for now sit back relax and get ready to eat the best food around the Universal Parks with us and trust me when I say I'm just as shocked about some of these entries as you're going to be before we get started though there's lots to see and do around Universal Orlando besides just eat and we want to make sure you're able to knock out as much as possible during your 2024 vacation so go ahead and scan the QR code you see on the screen now or head to disneyfoodblog docomo both Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida all right we're going to start with if you need something portable when I tell you that our eating around Universal trip was busy I am not kidding we were on the go and on our feet way more than we were off them I think I got about 25,000 steps on those days so finding the best portable Foods around on both parks became a huge priority for all of us cuz we had so much to ride as well I'd say the park that had the most portable Foods at our disposal was over on the Universal Studios Florida side The Simpsons area specifically had a whole lot of different options for on the-go eats including a variety of street tacos from the Bumblebee man's taco truck and the chicken thumbs from Cletus Chicken Shack which is for some reason way more unsettling to me than just calling them chicken fingers yeah okay and when you walk a little ways past the Simpsons area and more into to the Hollywood section of the park you can find this little green kiosk called Central Park Crepes that has some really delicious crepe options in both the sweet and savory variety now we were kind of bummed cuz we heard there was a street corn crepe that used to be featured as a seasonal option here but we missed that window of opportunity since it was gone when we were there but you know it's nice to hear that seasonal options do pop up around here from time to time and add a little variety to the menu so the crepes are made on the spot so you can expect something completely complely fresh no matter what or when you order but the safe option here is the strawberry hazelnut filled with Nutella marscapone strawberries powdered sugar and then drizzled with Nutella for extra Nutella measure this super sweet crepe had plenty of filling fresh strawberries lots of whipped cream and honestly I was in love with that Nutella marap Pon however fair warning Brio was not into the Nutella Marsa Pony she just was looking for straight up Nutella she did not want it to be kind of like a sweet cheese and Nutella combo so if you're not a fan of sweet cheesy combinations like cream cheese and cheesecake the marap pony may be initially unexpected to put it lightly apparently the team and I were very into Green Tinted snack kiosks though because another more Savory snack option that we found on the other side of the park that we loved right outside King's cross was also in a Green Tinted kiosk it's just called the London taxi Hut which by the way there are a couple of London taxi Huts which because I am so absolutely in love with watching documentaries about English History I was very annoyingly explaining to Bria what a London taxi Hut is but anyway you don't need to hear that unless you do in which case let me know in the comments anyway the London taxi Hut here at Universal is your One Stop Shop for all things jacket potatoes yep that's right baked potatoes and when you're craving a Savory snack but you're also kind of sick and tired of all the fried and sugary stuff this is a breath of fresh potatoey air you can get jacket potatoes topped with shepherd's pie featuring lamb beef and an assortment of veggies broccoli and cheese or beans and cheese too and of course there's a loaded potato which is going to have your sour cream and cheese and bacon and stuff like that now get this because we're dfb and we're always kind of asking too many questions I did want to know if you could just get a plain baked potato here it's not on the menu but I wanted to see if that was an option so when I went up and asked the cast member she was very kind and she basically was like of course you can get a plain baked potato and it costs less I love when we find these little tidbits of information for you because if you have a kid or someone who is a picky or eater who doesn't want all the stuff on top of their potato they just want a big potato with butter I absolutely adore when you can pay less to get what you really want anyway all the other potatoes cost around $10 to11 each but the plain big potato with that soft butter on the side that's right it's not hard they don't take it right out of the fridge it's soft and nice it's about 7:44 instead so you're going to save $3 to4 depending on the taxes and all that stuff now speaking of potatoes because legit we probably could have made this whole video about Universal Orlando potatoes and potatoes only if you hop over to the Islands of Adventure Park and into Seuss Landing you can find a lot of loaded tot options over at the Green Eggs and Ham kiosk no seriously what is up with us in all these green kiosks is it subliminal do we no deep down that green means go so good snacks are at Green kiosks I don't know anyway I know a lot of you love love love love the menu at green eggs and ham and it doesn't seem like a very obvious place to go get some of the best food in the park but I'm going to tell you right now it is it's over there at like I said Islands of Adventure so the loaded top varieties here are impressive and they actually do cater to a lot of different tastes you've got a buffalo chicken option a pizza option a straight up Green Eggs and Ham option but most importantly our favorite favorite favorite was the hoo has option where you can eat your tots straight out of a haash tin can and how much more portable can you get so while you'd think this would make the white melty cheese and onion and corn beef toppings pretty unevenly distributed we were surprised to note they don't just put the toppings on the top it's kind of like when you go to the movie theater and they fill up one layer of popcorn and then they put the butter on it and then they fill up another layer of popcorn and then they put the butter on it again that's kind of what they do with the hoo has they just spoon it in there but it's all mixed together and the toppings go all the way down to to the bottom which was a very welcome surprise I loved it and we actually all were talking about how you know you don't just have the toppings on the top you got the toppings all the way through I don't know it's the little things that make us happy anyway even when you're down at the bottom working for your last forkful you're still going to come up with plenty of that amazing melty white cheese and that onion and the corn beef so much flavor going on in there now I will say that I loved the rest of the loaded tot options as well I just had somebody the other day ask where in Disneyland they could get a buffalo chicken loaded tot option like you can get at Universal and you actually can get a buffalo chicken loaded tot option I think at Red Rose Tavern and again this could change but I don't think they're as good as these were so loaded tots I'm going to give Universal all the props for those just a word of warning though that melty cheese that comes on the haash and the green eggs and ham option 2 does kind of cool down pretty quickly and coag Ates it's more of a queso really like a white queso and it's not bad that way but the texture of the snack does change a little bit so if you're eating in a cooler time frame like it's a cooler day than that cheese might kind of cool a little faster than you expected okay our next little category is if you want an iconic Universal Studios beverage although I did indeed bring multiple bottles of Diet Coke with me into the Universal Parks because I knew the Wizarding World restaurants are pretty strict on keeping up with the theming and don't serve muggle soda I will admit that it doesn't feel right to visit the Wizarding World Without at least getting one butterbeer during your time here so butterbeer is sold in a variety of places around both Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogs me in Islands of Adventure but here's a quick tip for you if the specific butterbeer kiosks have a line that looks way too long and intimidating just go to one of the quick Services instead or if you're on the Islands of Adventure side go to Hogs head for your butterbeer fix since it rarely ever has quite the lines that the butterbeer kiosk rack up also you you may just want to wait a bit I noticed that the butterbeer lines were really really long and then I'd ride a ride and come back out and there wouldn't be any line at all so you may just wait until that line subsides also butterbeer comes in three different forms cold Frozen and hot that being said you're not going to find the hot butterbeer at the standard butterbeer kiosks again you're going to need to go to one of the Wizarding World quick services or Hogs head instead by the way I personally much prefer the hot butterbeer over the cold or the Frozen but I need to know where your allegiances lie cuz I know everybody's got an opinion so let me know in the comments if you're Team Hot butterbeer like me or team Frozen butter beer like Cassie and that's right we talk about the important issues here my friends now there's more specialty drinks to try around Universal than just the Wizarding World specific ones for those who are of drinking age you can grab a dove beer over in The Simpsons area in Universal Studios Florida to try Homer Simpsons alltime favorite beverage Duff comes in a variety of different beer options from its Classic Amber logger to a Duff light pill hner and even its dark ale version called the duff dry and over at the watering hole in the Jurassic Park section of Islands of Adventure you can order the Jurassic Park EA nublar IPA which uses Citra and mosaic hops with a small amount of Orange grapefruit and pineapple juice for an all-around super tropical taste for other non-alcohol options be on the lookout for specialty slushies featured around the parks certain Park areas are going to have frozen drinks themed around whichever land you're in so if you're picking up a slushie and Seuss Landing you can get a mousse juice that's frozen orange or Goose juice typically Frozen sour apple or if you're getting a slush at the kiosk near King Kong expect the specialty flavor over there to be banana oh and speaking of banana don't worry we're going to talk about minion Cafe in a little bit but they do have several specialty drinks there too but let's say you're like me or you just want a normal soda from a freestyle machine like Coke or Sprite or root beer Diet Coke bless you Diet Coke if you plan on getting many sodas throughout your visit than the universal refillable freestyle cups that was a mouthful could be well worth the value for you for about 19 bucks you can enjoy unlimited freestyle sodas and ic's where available all day long which really is not a bad deal a regular soda is about five bucks inside the universal bubble so if you fill up your cup more than three times during the day you're going to start saving money for all your soda refills after that not to mention this cup can be reactivated on future visits for about 12 bucks meaning you'd only have to refill your cup twice to start getting your money's worth out of it bonus tip there's even a refillable souvenir cup station in the middle of CityWalk meaning you can fill up your cup on your way in or out of either Park next category is maybe you need to satisfy a sweet tooth you are never going to lack for sugar in Universal Orlando ever but if you don't want to make yourself sick from all the sugar options available let me give you the best of the best to narrow down your dessert search to two specific categories category one ice cream Universal does ice cream really really well you can find Sundays on a stick over at Hop On Pop ice cream shop in Seuss Landing or over the top shakes at tooth some chocolate Emporium in CityWalk but the best ice cream by far that we've tried at least can be found over at Florian foris sku's ice cream parlor in Diagon Alley floran specializes in both soft serve and hand scooped ice cream and while both are really tasty choices that you can't really go wrong with it's hard to not choose the soft serve option because of those ribbon swirls that'll capture the flavor of whatever you're ordering like coffee or orange or even butterbeer category two donuts donuts are great cuz they can be treated as a sharable afternoon treat or a super sugar breakfast choice for an Innovative doughnut experience swing by Voodoo Donuts at CityWalk before you head into one of the parks Voodoo are known for their wild toppings as well as their absurd pastry designs now this is a chain you can find them in several places but if you don't have one near you definitely try the one in CityWalk you can choose from options like the classic voodoo doll filled with raspberry jelly topped with chocolate frosting and embellished with a pretzel steak the universal Orange sck or the giant Texas donut and speaking of giant Donuts those signature pink Donuts just like Homer likes to eat can be found over in the Simpson's area too over at lard lad yes I absolutely adore that there's a place called lard lad it makes me very happy and fun fact the massive pink Donuts they sell at lard lad are locally sourced from an Orlando bakery called dut King which just so happens to be the same place where Disney gets their jaw free donuts small world right now if you get a pink donut at lard lad you'll definitely want to share it cuz this thing is ginormous but the novelty of how gargantuan it is definitely adds to the fun and makes for a good picture op too now in terms of quality with the lard lad Donuts I really like the joffre donuts that come from dut King over there in Disney they're usually really fresh they taste really really good the lard lad doughnut that I tried this recent visit was it tasted like it had been there a little while like maybe they brought them the night before or something like that of course I don't know that that's the case but it didn't taste quite as fresh as the ones that I get at joffre's in Disney World now am I eating a joffre doughnut every single day no I'm sure there are some that are a little bit stale I'm sure there are some that aren't the best so maybe I just had a bad lard lad dut and I've had all good joffre Donuts but that's the situation I probably wouldn't get a lard lad every single time I'm at Universal it's more for kind of for the picture and the novelty now what if you want a quick service that's unique much like you'll find in the Disney parks many of Universal's Quick Service restaurants are highly immersive when it comes to theming you've got the comic strip Cafe and tun Lagoon at Islands of Adventure thunderf Falls Terrace in Jurassic Park Mo's Tavern in The Simpsons area of Universal Studios Florida Mel's Drive-In that's off in the Hollywood section and the list goes on but if I were to shout out three Quick Service locations in particular that go above and beyond with theming throughout their dining room as well as their menu these are the places that deserve the spotlight first and this probably won't come as a shock but both the Leaky cauldron in Diagon Alley and the three broomsticks in Hogs meat feel like they've been pulled right out of the Harry Potter universe and brought to life within both of these Parks leaky cauldron and three broomsticks have a very similar Vibe despite them being in different areas they're rustic they're a little dreary and they feel like the kind of areas you'd stumble upon during a dndd campaign and while both menus offer up British inspired fair you will find a selection of different types of British Fair depending on which one you're visiting leaky cauldron serves items like Fisherman's pie Scotch eggs towed in the hole that's an English sausage baked into a Yorkshire pudding and served with onion gravy by the way and three broomstick serves great feast platters you can share among your group in general we tend to like the lunch and dinner options a bit more on the Leaky cauldron side especially since leaky cauldron has that sticky toffee pudding that's made with a dense cake crunchy toffee bits and creamy melty ice cream that makes the cake softer but not in a soggy way in a decadently moist way the bangers and mash here is also satisfying and Hearty with lots of veggies and soft mashed potatoes that almost reminded me of the mashed potatoes I used to get in my high school cafeteria back in the day which sounds like an insult but I was really excited for mashed potatoes back in school now the sausage is really mild here it definitely has a good flavor but it doesn't have kind of that oniony gravy vibe that you might be expecting from a British pub but that might be good for folks who want to try out British Fair while still keeping their theme park food options on a more approachable safe tasting level but there is a bigger variety at three broomsticks during breakfast don't worry though some of the items do overlap between restaurants like the fish and chips you can find at both leaky cauldron and three broomsticks the fish and chips have a nice battered of fish ratio and are very salty though I will say the salt was overpowered by Cassie's Oho generous dousing of lemon juice across the whole stinking thing but if you like lemon juice on your fish then you'd probably enjoy hanging out with Cassie in The Wizarding World or you just enjoy hanging out with Cassie in general cuz Cass he's pretty cool now I know I already mentioned this earlier but the Wizarding World quick services do not serve normal drinks okay so they serve some normal drinks like milk and tea and lemonade but what they're most known for are their Wizarding drinks of course butterbeer is the staple option of these but you can also order other interesting bevs like pumpkin juice and pumpkin Fizz and at the Leaky cauldron specifically you've got even more Wizarding drinks to choosed from like otter fizzy orange juice made of an orange beverage with notes of vanilla and cinnamon the tongue time lemon squash which is a lemon flavored beverage served with squashed lemon which sounds like a drink Cassie would love and the fishy green ale made with notes of mint and cinnamon and popping blueberry fish eggs now bria's notee on the fishy green ale is that it did not pass the vibe check for her too many flavors competing against each other that all just clashed and fell flat in the end but it's definitely different and someone out there might love it and now let's talk about the newest Quick Service in the Universal scene the minion Cafe in Universal Studios Florida this place is very colorful that is for sure the whole stick surrounding minions Cafe is that this is literally a kitchen run solely by those little yellow guys that you're going to find posted on your aunt's Facebook page everything around here is bright and bold and Minion IED including the food and there is so much cool stuff to look at around the restaurant too please take a little bit of time to just sort of wander around check out the really funny things you can find for sale in their vending machines look inside the locker there's a lot of surprise and Delight going on in this particular location and I think even if you don't like the minions or you don't like Despicable Me it's a fun fun immersive thing to look around and it's so funny and satirical anyway while I will say that several of the food items featured at minions Cafe are definitely more style than substance some of the best items we found here are Mel's meatball Mountain a wood oven baked stuffed pizza with meatballs basil fresh mozzarella and marinara and Agnes's honeymoon soup made of green tomato soup soup crispy pork belly tomato gummy bears and basil oil served with a pimento cheddar grilled cheese sandwich okay so to be fair I way preferred the pizza over the pimento grilled cheese because the grilled cheese has a whole lot of cilantro in it and if you're anything like me and you have that Jean where cilantro doesn't taste good it's hard to get past with this one it's also kind of hard to get past the very very very slime green look of the soup that's a tough one too so just heads up on that that you're going to have to sort of disassociate what it looks like from what it tastes like for a lot of folks with that particular soup but everyone else that tried that grilled cheese sandwich absolutely loved it so that's one of those things that I didn't like it because of cilantro but other people did like it and it is it is recommended but for sure the best thing here Mel's meatball Mountain puts Disney's puffy personal pizzas to shame the sauce is a little bit sweet which I don't love but it's not too sweet and there's definitely more Savory stuff going on with all the toppings so it balanced out well the best part though is definitely that fresh mozzarella so good when it comes to the Sweet Stuff Otto's pet rock and the PX 41 punch are going to be winners for your kids otos PC rock is made with peanut butter mousse strawberry jelly crushed peanuts and banana cake dipped in a chocolate shell that looks like a pet rock with big googly eyes actually ours looked like it was crying at the thought of being eaten alive but let's not think about that too much rocks aren't alive the PB Mose is the real knockout in this dessert it is creamy it's light and it's not too over overpoweringly sweet but the jelly does help add another layer of fruity sweetness like a PB&J sandwich the banana cake on the bottom didn't feel necessary like it kind of tasted like a stale graham cracker and didn't really do a lot for the dessert itself but it's such a small portion of cake that it doesn't take away from the rest of the PB&J flavor as for the PX 41 punch this is an evil minion style drink made with lemonade strawberry and kiwi flavoring a purple whipped topping and blue raspberry pop rocks cuz why not now when you top a drink with po rocks you know you're in for a good time is this drink hydrating no is it pretty much super sugary fruity lemonade yes are your children absolutely going to think it's the best thing ever you betcha the cup is cute the pop rocks are fun and you know if you like creamy sweet tasting lemonade then you're probably going to like this yourself okay so maybe you need to sit down in the AC fortunately when we were just recently at Universal the weather wasn't scorching hot it was a little bit chilly and made the perfect temperature for wandering around in our Wizarding robes all day but even with the clouds on our side that trip there were moments when we just needed to sit down and rest our feet and eat a meal that was more substantial then cheesy tots and donuts the size of our heads and that's where Universal's table service restaurants came to our rescue the Universal Parks don't have a whole lot of table service restaurants to choose from it's more of a Disneyland Vibe where everybody's kind of on the go so there's a lot more Quick Service than there is table service but they do have a few noteworthy ones one of their most popular table Service locations is Mythos which is over on the Islands of Adventure side Mythos is kind of like stepping inside a cavern of Greek mythology and like yes Percy Jackson fans listen up cuz you're going to like this one on the outside of the restaurant you're going to find waterfalls and rock formations maybe even a cranky troll under the bridge out back if you listen closely enough and while on the inside you're going to be in a grotto like atmosphere with even more rock formations and intricate artwork and water features and a soundtrack that sounds very much like a siren luring fisherman into the ocean I don't know if that was the point of the soundtrack but that's what it sounded like so the menu at Mythos is a medley of Mediterranean Asian and American fair with some of the more popular items being the spinach and garlic ravioli and the fork knife and Spoon grilled cheese note the grilled cheese is typically served on top of a tuskin tomato soup with crispy pork belly but you can always ask for them to be separated if you're not keen on your food touching or if you want to prevent your grilled cheese from getting a little bit too soggy one of our personal favorites here was the beef loin medallions now the beef has this nice slightly crisp Char on the outside to give it a little more texture and Smoky flavor the green beans have been tossed in minced garlic that gives them a brighter flavor than your typical plate of steamed greens and our favorite part of the dish were those buttery creamy potatoes but again I can't stress enough how Pro potato we are here on the dfb team but I will also say that that grilled cheese was delicious the pasta was really good so really everything here was a thumbs up now if given the choice I would say the desserts here are probably not really that extraordinary maybe not really worth your dime especially when so many other sweets exist inside the universal bubble I would definitely rather go have some floran foris ice cream than the desserts here at Mythos but if you are choosing one to share with the table the chocolate banana gooey cake is a safe bet you can think of it like the molten lava cake you might get it chilies plus peanut butter ice cream on top now Bria tried to purposely leave out the Mythos graham cracker pudding dessert when she wrote the first draft of this script to spare me from having to relive this one but I can't not talk about it so the graham cracker pudding sounded promising it's made with warm graham cracker bread pudding whatever that is housemade apple cider caramel graham cracker crumbs and vanilla ice cream now when I first tried this dessert I went straight for the caramel sauce because I am a sauce fiend and what I got was what tasted like a whole lot of apple cider vinegar and I know the menu mentions apple cider but I wasn't expecting a straight mouthful of vinegar Flavor now when you eat all of the ingredients together like you're supposed to that vinegar isn't quite as pungent or strong and everyone else at the table really really enjoyed this dessert and we were told by the server that this is absolutely a fan favorite people love this dessert but it was still hard for me to eat when the lingering memory of that initial really sharp bite was still coating my taste buds Quincy and Cassie loved this one but Bria and I were on team let's order something else next time I think this could be a great dessert for someone who wants to try something really unique there's definitely a lot of flavors going on props to Mythos for trying something that has some Edge to it but don't be like me and underestimate that vinegar cuz it's real plentiful and it still haunts me to this day but again I was the only one at the table that really had a reaction to it that said Quincy did say that the apple cider vinegar burned her tongue that she realized when she got out of the restaurant so I don't know now on the Universal Studios Florida side you got a couple of different sitdown meals to choose from too vinan baring Grill is going to give you your Irish Pub fix and might also feature some live music during the day too Lombard Seafood Grill is Universal's kind of Flagship restaurant it's a classy little Seafood establishment with a water view that sits right in the middle of the park so whenever the park does have its nighttime spectaculars which it does put on from time to time this is a good restaurant that'll give you a clear view of the show if you're next to one of the windows fair warning about Lombards though while the team was impressed with some of the Entre featured here be a bit wary of the shrimp especially especially if your hometown specializes in seafood and by the way Brio wants you to know the shrimp isn't bad it's just got kind of a weird grainy texture to it not in a Sandy way but in a too many seasonings way anyway the other Seafood options like the mahi fish tacos are much better quality and have a much more enjoyable slightly spicy flavor more than likely you should be able to get a last minute table at one of these restaurants on the day of your visit but it's still important to secure an advanced dining reservation for these places ahead of your trip just in case they get packed during those busier times of Year by the way making a dining reservation is super easy and painless at Universal you just go on the Universal Orlando app tap on the universal map select the restaurant you want to make a reservation for and follow the steps but because people don't book reservations here all that often it's just really easy and there's always reservations available at least it felt that way to us so if you want to make changes to your reservation later on just head over to the profile and tap on the dining reservations option and you can edit your reservation super easy more than likely you'll receive a text or texts on the day of your reservations to remind you that hey you're scheduled to eat there that day just send a text back confirming your reservation so you can let the restaurant know that you're still planning on being there also currently Universal does not have a financial penalty if you don't show up to the restaurant that's not to say you should just ditch it definitely cancel your reservation if you're not going to be able to go please but that's a benefit that it has over Disney is that it does not charge you if you're a noow okay now maybe you need a break from the parks you don't need a park ticket to check out all of universal sitdown offerings there's plenty of table Service locations you can make reservations for around the CityWalk shopping district and inside the Universal Hotels as well around CityWalk you're going to find a lot of those touristy restaurants that you might find at other vacation spots aside from just Universal like Bubba gumps and Hard Rock Cafe Margaritaville Cowfish but one of the more unique Universal restaurants here is toothsome ch chocolate Emporium this is like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory if Willy Wonka decided to be more steampunk and hire robots instead of Oompa loomas and feature time traveling technology you know that's something you've thought about anyway the restaurant is part table service part candy shop so even if you didn't want to eat here you could always just visit the gift shop out front pick up some sweets to go like macarons truffles cotton candy you name it is it the best stuff no probably not not as Uber fresh as I would maybe want it to be but it's fine and it's a good little souvenir now inside the restaurant you've got a whole menu of unique options to choose from ranging from mushroom risoto to loaded brunch waffles to sugary Monte Cristos to Super ooey gooey cheesy french onion soup let's all take a moment to appreciate this incredible cheese pole I still miss it I miss this soup anyway what toothsome is really known for are its over-the-top milk shakes will the shakes here compete with the ice cream quality at Florian no not really these shakes are about style and wackiness and the picturesque quality of the treat they are really pretty simple and basic it's not the highest quality ice cream mint tastes like mint vanilla tastes like vanilla birthday cake tastes like Funfetti from the Betty Crocker box they do kind of mix baked goods into a lot of these shakes so if you have an issue with that texture situation if you don't like to feel like there's a bunch of soggy cake in your milkshake definitely be aware of kind of what they mix into the shakes not all of them have stuff mixed in but some of them do now while these are not the highest quality over the top shakes I've ever had I think the ones over at beaches and cream are definitely better these are still a fun dessert for the whole family and you can also take the cup home that it comes in you're just going to need to wash it out first now at the Universal Orlando hotels you've got more table service options to consider ranging from casual to classy we found ourselves really enjoying our last trip to to bee over at Lowe's porino Bay Hotel this is a very dimly lit sophisticated restaurant that features Italian inspired dishes with handmade pastas and seasonal risotto and if you're looking for good pasta this is it this is good pasta the tagli atello Pudo might have been our favorite dish of the whole time in Universal Orlando the Pudo was salty and thinly cut giving the dish a subtle meat flavor that was different from our usual meat-based pastas we've had in the past it was kind of diffused throughout the pasta every bite you got was incredible the fresh tomatoes gave each bite a bright burst of flavor as well and honestly at this point we had been eating for days and days straight so the fact that this still tasted absolutely incredible is testimony definitely and then there was the torone ricotta and spinach which was very ricotta heavy but not in an overpowering way the ricotta was Savory and creamy and the pasta itself was well cooked not too soft not too Al Dente I thought this was absolutely delicious it was my favorite pasta ever until I tried that tagel Pudo which just blew it out of the water so both were very very very good now you pair that with a complimentary bread brought to your table before the meal and you've got yourself a whole lot of yum to look forward to now this definitely isn't a restaurant you're going to want to book reservations for if you've already had a full day of eating lots of food since dinner here is pretty heavy but it is a great option if you're looking for a date night Vibe without leaving the Universal sphere of influence so just walking down memory lane here from our Universal eat around Adventure is making me feel full all over again there's so much to see and taste in Universal Orlando there's so much we didn't talk about even here today so we are going to be putting together a bunch more videos for you kind of going into more detail about the restaurants and the rides and everything else you're going to be able to experience at Universal Orlando but today we just wanted to give you the best of the best we're excited to keep on exploring and munching alongside with you let me know in the comments
