we gathered eight flagship table saws from the best brands across the power tool industry and today we're gonna compare them all in one video let's get started [Music] [Applause] [Music] first let's take a look at each of the competitors this is the milwaukee m18 fuel table saw the 2736 is the only table saw milwaukee tool offers but it's a good one it's also cordless running on the company's m18 battery platform it features a rack and pinion fence system and we found that it provided very confident cutting through sheet goods sporting an eight and a quarter inch blade and turning the brushless motor at 6300 rpm milwaukee is already pushing for the top spot in this head to head you really can't tell this tool runs on a battery it doesn't hesitate on either rip or cross cuts milwaukee also included one key technology so you get tool tracking inventory management and more you're not going to want to miss this one dewalt comes in swinging with their 10 inch table saw this model has been around for nearly 10 years and it's still setting the benchmark for performance there's plenty of power coming from its 15 amp motor accuracy is excellent and it's got a wider table than many of the other job site saws we tested the stand while not a scissor style model does a really good job providing stability during cuts it also folds down into a much more compact package all that plus a very reasonable price tag make this one of the most complete options available on the market the skill saw brand has a couple of portable table saws to choose from and the model we chose is the only worm drive saw in our entire head-to-head running at 5000 rpm but with tons of torque this saw has the strongest overall cutting of any of the models we've tested it's a little lean in rip capacity compared to some of the other choices on our list and it only handles half inch dados however it's plenty wide enough to take care of half sheet rip cuts it's also got what we call an extremely solid build quality and it includes a really durable rolling stand with massive 16 inch wheels to let you roll over any job site terrain if the worm drive table saw from skill saw is a bit more than you need then its little brother from skill might be just up your alley skills 10 inch table saw gets excellent cutting power provided by the tool's 15 amp motor the rack and pinion fence system makes it easy to keep your cuts square even if you're new to using a table saw this is one of the only saws in our field to feature an integrated stand and we love how easy it is to flip out the legs and get to work once it's set up the saw is remarkably stable for a table saw that targets the diy market also targeting the diy market ryobi's eight and a quarter inch table saw is perfect for those of you already on their oneplus platform this is ryobi's first cordless table saw and it's got all the basic features you could ask for the hp brushless motor can spin the eight and a quarter inch blade up to 4 500 rpm to get the best results be sure to pair this saw with a high performance 4 amp hour battery or even their 6 amp hour pack the saw is compact though with only 12 inches of rip capacity to the right of the blade keep that in mind before making your purchase decision this is the bosch 4100 xc the successor to their very popular workhorse 4000 series table saws the xc model has a larger rip capacity of 30 inches but it takes a hit in the speed category clocking in as our slowest table saw at 3 650 rpm now that low speed doesn't make it underpowered it still puts that 15 amp motor to work driving the 10 inch blade through anything from hardwoods to pressure-treated lumber this is also one of the few saws that didn't feature a rack and pinion fence with that said bosch's stout square lock fence is a significant upgrade to some of the lesser fences we've used they also added a handy lockout feature to the power switch and of course the gravity rise stand remains one of our favorites it folds up quickly and easily and it takes up less space than some others in terms of pure square footage it also includes leveling feet and that keeps you stable on uneven surfaces corded or cordless it's an age-old question but with matabo's 36-volt multi-vault table saw you don't have to decide you get both metabo hbt joins the competition with its full 10-inch saw which features a monster 35 inch rip capacity and a great rack and pinion fence system it's currently the only hybrid table saw we're aware of by using the metabo hpt ac adapter you can switch back and forth between using the saw with a 36 volt battery or plugging it into an extension cord when you need unlimited run time with a 5000 rpm blade speed it's not the fastest battery powered saw but it matches what we expect in terms of the power and performance of a corded tool and that seems to be the intent rounding out our top table saws is the ridgid it's a fan favorite and at a price point that won't break the bank ridgid's had a lot of table saws over the years but this update upgrades to a rack and pinion fence system it also supports rip cuts up to 32 and a half inches the 10 inch blade spins at a maximum 5000 rpm which is plenty to slice through sheet goods you get all that in a sturdy rolling stand for less than 500 so now that you've seen the competition let me tell you a little bit about what we look for when deciding our top picks when it comes to table saws size matters blade size and table size that is recent changes in safety requirements are driving saws to shift to an eight and a quarter inch blade on table saws with smaller tables even so these eight and a quarter inch models still use 15 amp motors which gives them a lot of cutting strength we recommend that the overall table size gives you at least 24 inches of cutting width and that gives you enough to rip a sheet of plywood in half and cover just about any other type of cut you're likely to make high accuracy is something you should expect from your portable job site table saw and most of this concerns the fence we try to avoid fences that you can easily lock down while they're out of square for those you can push to the side when you start feeding material against them the design we find ourselves drawn to the most is the highly accurate locking rack and pinion fence a knob on the front runs the fence on a geared track and that keeps both sides of the fence 100 square in our opinion it's the best solution out there stability and portability are two key areas that affect one another a lightweight option might seem appealing as it makes your saw much more portable but shedding those pounds can sacrifice some stability this can also play into how accurately the table saw cuts for example if your legs are wobbly or the cutting surface is uneven you're just not going to make it straight of a cut we prefer a mobile saw on a dedicated stand that's heavy enough to resist shifting we want high stability and airless wheels that can roll over dirt grass and debris on a job site that's not something that's in everyone's budget so if you can't grab a rolling stand we recommend using a pair of stable saw horses or if you plan to use it in your shop bolt that saw down to a solid table or a workbench if you're primarily using your portable table saw outside dust collection may not be a big priority if however you use it in a shop or indoors that's a different story make sure you have the right hose adapter and use a high cfm shop vac for the best dust collection also shop vacs typically work better than dust extractors on larger debris like sawdust so look for something with a wider hose diameter before we crown a winner we've compiled all the specs and data from our tests and compiled them into some charts to help you as you choose between models [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] so at the end of the day really any and all of these table saws provide great solutions for job site portability and power but we know how much you guys love when we don't pick a winner you hate it so that brings us to this saw the dewalt dwe 7491 our pick for the best portable jobsite table saw a combination of state-of-the-art features and excellent cutting performance is what puts dewalt at the very top of our list years ago it was the first model we ever tested with a rack and pinion fence and it continues to give you excellent accuracy when ripping it has a wider table than many of the saws we tested and the rolling stand gives it a nice stable platform throw in a reasonable 529 dollar price tag and it's the most complete option available at least in our team's opinion there you have it dewalt takes the crown for our best portable job site table saw if you enjoyed this video give it a like and subscribe to our channel for even more reviews you
