Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Seems about right.
I know they weren't trying to spend a lot of money but there's still a few mods I wish they would have talked about. Steel brake lines or adjustable foot pegs for instance. Hell, how about dialing in the suspension correctly? Doesn't even require swapping parts!
There's lots of others but most are subjective or rider specific: like changing levers, remapping, clip-ons, suspension, brakes, etc...
Overall I think Revzilla did good, but not great. Though I'm not really sure I agree with the battery swap.
100% get some tech spec snake skin tank pads well worth the money and better than stomp grip
While talking about the battery, he said "that's a pretty significant weight reduction for not too much money"
That battery costs $200, and you lose 5lbs.
He kinda lost all credibility to me there. I can think of many places i would have invested that $200 that would have been MUCH better.
Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with most of his mods, but I would have prioritized things quite a bit differently.
Nothing really new (to me at least) here. Pretty standard mods that most people do on a bike. The one thing I kind of disagree with is the tinted windscreen, there's no reason for it to be tinted. The shape is ergonomic, the tint isn't.
Surprised they didn't talk about suspension, that makes a much bigger difference than an exhaust. And tail tidys can be just as much trouble as they are cool, if your bike relies on that fender to keep road crud in check.
Other than that- pretty decent list, most of that stuff is already on my own bike.
"Keeping it legal" I like it. No probs with the poopoo
I cannot recommend the Shogun No Cut Frame Sliders.
I had them mounted on my '05 CBR 1000RR. A lady backed into my parked bike and tipped it over causing the bike to fall on the frame slider. The metal offset mount bent and underneath the frame slider was the coolant inlet to the engine, which got crushed, and needed to be replaced. 8 man hours worth of work from the dealer to drop the engine and replace it. Insurance covered it, but would not use them again.
Ignore the Lemmy. Not a parody.
