so this product is very very well known in Japan and it has been winning Awards since 2015 and officially was like inducted into the Hall of Fame for beauty products I know this moisturizer is already loved by so so many people and now including myself I get why so many people are obsessed with it it's one of those products that like you feel safe having one around just in case your skin has a free out Mina this is Tina and welcome back to my channel in this video going to be talking about the best moisturizers of 2023 if that sounds like your thing then please go ahead and happy New Year you guys it is the first video of 2024 I do have to apologize for missing last week's video because on January 1st New Year's Day I woke up sick and I've been dragging it for about a week now so I do apologize if I sound a little sick cuz I do still have a cough and a runny nose but whatever it is a new year today today we are going to be talking about the best moisturizers which obviously is one of the most important steps of your skin care routine so I've selected the ones that I personally found the best that I discovered in 2023 before we get started my skin type is dry and dehydrated and the general climate that I live in tends to lean towards the more dehydrated climate being Melvin Australia I'll just mention at the start that all of the moisturizers in this video are fragrance free I do not necessarily seek fragrance free items a lot of the time but they all happen to be fragrance free so if you are someone who is sensitized by fragrance you don't have to worry about any of these ones including it I think I'll start off with the one Japanese moisturizer that I have been loving for my mornings this year and it is the Min am moist moist charge milk so this product is very very well known in Japan and it has been winning Awards since 2015 and officially was like inducted into the Hall of Fame for beauty products in 2018 I believe it is min's bestselling product which Minon is a drugstore brand in Japan that caters specifically to those who have sensitive skin so they're free from a lot of irritance and a very very simple ingredients list the main feature of this one is that it includes 11 types of amino acids which help in healing that Skin Barrier and to promote just like a overall healthy skin environment so this moisturizer is an Emulsion type moisturizer which basically is a milk type lotion type kind of a lightweight form of a moisturizer that is really really popular and common in Japan a lot of Brands don't even do like a cream moisturizer they will just have a Emulsion also known as Nui in Japan and I do love using them especially in the morning since they do have more of a lightweight feel compared to other kind of cream moisturizers and it also works beautifully underneath makeup because it does have that light consistency the thing I did like about this one compared to other emulsions that I've even tried from Japan is its texture when it first comes out as you can see I'm almost out of it I've got a backup coming in the mail it is actually quite like solid it doesn't run down a lot of emotions do tend to be a bit more lotiony so it will run down your skin if you apply it like this but this one is quite solid so it has that body to it yet it is so lightweight creamy and absorbs into the skin so so well I had been using this for I think about a month or so during kind of that summer autumn winter spring spring so I've been using it for about a month or so during the springtime and it was that perfect kind of in between something too lightweight like a gel cream versus a heavy cream and then I went to Japan which I did not take this with me and by the time I came back from Japan Logan my partner had essentially finished this off by himself like he loved it so much it was obviously in a pump so really easy for him to use and he said he was using it Non-Stop in the morning and it was like is it okay if I finish this I was like I mean I'm going to include it in a best of video but it's okay I got a back up as I said because it has been a beautiful moisturizer for the daytime it doesn't really have any other fancy ingredients it's just amino acids and your Basics like glycerin and that but I still very much enjoyed it and as I said such a good prep before makeup next we're going to do Korean moisturizers which is the bulk of the selection today and the first one I have is the numbers in number one purple complex moisture Bell balancing soothing cream if you've watched me for a little while you probably do know that I've been a fan of numbers them for a number of years now and even this past year they did not disappoint so what's really exciting about this one is that it is said to be suitable for even acne PR skin and combo skin since it is all about achieving that oil water balance in our skin I'm sure a lot of you know already but to achieve kind of the most ideal healthy skin environment we need a good balance between the water which is the high hydration in our skin and the seon which is the oil in our skin so it's good to get a moisturizer that helps to achieve both so it's in the name here but numbers and develop this purple complex which includes a number of essentially purple naturally derived ingredients so they have purple carrot red cabbage eggplant beet blueberry and azulene which are all ingredients that are going to help soothe irritation it does also include hyaluronic acid to hydrate and cantella atica another caling and soothing ingredient so this moisturizer is all about creating that oil water balance while soothing the skin which I think is like what we all want for our skin right this one was another one that I tended to use during the daytime especially during winter since it does have a bit more moisture to it compared to like a gel cream moisturizer but if you are someone who has really dry skin like me and at nighttime during winter it's probably not going to be quite enough moisture but a great allrounder and again another moisturizer that my partner who has compost skin also absolutely loved I mean we already went through a full tube of it and this is the second one we've opened up and it is a generous 100 Ms like 100 Mil moisturizer which is pretty decent I think it's the biggest one I've got out of today's selection and yeah I feel like it is absolutely a moisturizer that all skin types can use as I mentioned they um recommend it highly for acne prone skin and combo skin so if you do have that skin type and looking for something that's just a reliable moisturizer that is soothing that you can use every day this one was absolutely beautiful next I know this moisturizer is already loved by so so many people and now including myself and it is the estra ataria 365 cream I know this has an absolute cult following in Korea and after I used it like I get it it is a beautiful moisturizer I personally started using it during the winter time in Australia which would have been like 6 months ago a light enough texture that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin but it does really feel nourishing and if you have seen the formula this is another one that I have a backup of coming cuz I kind of used it up before I filmed my best of videos but if you see the texture of it it actually has these tiny little dots which is basically an encapsulated formula which helps to keep the ingredients fresh and to also kind of time release it onto your skin when you are applying so that's something that's um definitely unique about this moisturizer which I feel like you don't always find is that encapsulated formula and that formula includes ceramides as well as ch ol and fatty acids which actually help to increase the absorption of that camide by 80% so it's got all of those ingredients that are really going to protect your skin and to help heal that Skin Barrier although I will say the pricing of this moisturizer is probably a little bit more expensive compared to the others that I have selected in this video it is although a fairly generous 80 mil size so this one I would recommend the most for normal to dry skin types and the last Korean moisturizer I have today is the T Sun Jung two times barrier intensive cream this one I discovered I'd say later on in the year and I used it um pretty consistently when I was in Japan and traveling which I always try to choose a really reliable basic barrier protective moisturizer whenever I'm traveling because our skin usually stresses out whenever we're traveling with a different schedules and the lack of sleep and the different diet and this one was a great one to use morning and night during that time I must say when I was in Japan it was still pretty warm so I wanted to use a moisturizer that was enough moisture for my dry skin but it didn't feel too heavy or tacky since the heat in Japan does tend to be a bit more humid than what I'm used to in Australia and this one such a beautiful texture for a kind of barrier protective moisturizer because I feel like a lot of the time those moisturizers tend to be a little bit thicker a little bit more tacky something that you wouldn't really want to wear on a warm day but this one it does have almost like a lotiony texture I would even consider almost to be like an Emulsion if I'm honest but you can see it kind of runs down so it does have more of a lightweight um texture to it but it does really feel protective and nourishing to the skin so again it does have a pretty simple ingredients list the only really highlighted ingredients is panthenol and matoid so cantella soothing and then also helping that Skin Barrier so obviously really really simple concept but again that's all you need for a Moisturizer in the Sun Jung range is known to be great for those who do have sensitive skin this one is a 60 mil tube and I would say that normal and combo skin types would like it best last product I have is a non-asian beauty product wow who am I I definitely relied on a lot when my skin was having crazy flare ups and irritation last year and I know so many people swear by this product so really it's not a surprise that I loved it too and it is the the L Ro Pro sea plast balm B5 plus so I don't think this um moisturizer moisturizer I mean it's a balb I would say I used it as a moisturizer when my skin was irritated and now I kind of use it more as a spot treatment in those areas that are irritated which recently cuz I've been blowing my nose non-stop from my cold around my nose has been really kind of tingly sometimes when I use certain products I've been using it around my nose area and just dabbing it in and it really does like instantaneously soothe your skin down I get why so many people are obsessed with it it's one of those products that you feel safe having one around just in case your skin has a freak out so this one includes a Prebiotic um complex called triy byom which is going to help um promote that healthy skin environment it also has medicide which is going to help heal and Soo and then also 5% of panol which is also known as B5 which is in the name there to help Main maintain um skin health and a healthy Skin Barrier so again it's a lot of that same stuff just helping heal your skin soothe it help the Skin Barrier with this one I do have a tip in applying it which I feel like a lot of you guys will know already anyways but this one can tend to peel a little bit when you are rubbing it in so personally I take some of my palm and then rub it out and then press it into my skin so instead of like rubbing it which you shouldn't really be rubbing that intensely anyway but just pressing it into your skin with your palms helps for it to absorb and apply evenly without peeling as I said it's not really my everyday go-to moisturizer I don't think it's as cosmetically elegant as I would like for it to be to use in that way but when my skin is irritated yes 100% um when I had my allergic reaction when I had a flare up on my neck and my skin was all like red and irritated this was the one that I used and definitely one that I would like to keep around for emergencies definitely can be used by all skin typ but those who have sensitive skin would absolutely love it like I think you need to get your hands on this right now so yeah that is it that is the best moisturizers of 2023 in my opinion I do still have a few more best of um products coming for the time being you can select one of these videos if you haven't checked it out already it's one of my other best of videos of 2023 and if you want to know when the next videos come out make sure you are subscribed so you are notified and I'll see you guys in the next one [Music] bye
