Minecraft is known for having problems with the  FPS even when you have a good PC but luckily there   are talented mode developers who can turn any  PC's performance into another level and today   I'll show you exactly what the best mods are as a  benchmark I went into full vanilla Minecraft and   set my render distance to 25 with the other  settings being maxed out too now looking at   my FPS it is around 350 for most of us that's  great but but for the NASA PC that I have this   is not acceptable I should be getting at least  1,000 FPS so let's try to make it happen there   are two very popular optimization mods called  OptiFine and sodium first I want to talk about   OptiFine which makes Minecraft run more smoothly  while using less resources it has many settings   you can customize and support for shaders  as a one single mode it definitely does a   lot of things and the FPS is averaging around  700 which is a huge increase exactly 100% more   than vanilla Minecraft honestly that's how  vanilla Minecraft should be but if you want   to get even more performance out of your PC or  want to build huge projects that are going to   make your PC feel laggy again then we need to talk  about sodium sodium is an excellent optimization   mode which was published in 2020 and uses modern  rendering techniques that are better than OptiFine   mostly because OptiFine has been in Minecraft  since the Alpha version and sodium is open source   which means that the whole community of people  can help to improve the mode but let's see how the   sodium performs I would say now I average around a  th000 or even more FPS which I really like to see   and that means sodium gave me 185% FPS increase  compared to vanilla and 42% more comparing it   to OptiFine but sodium has one huge huge flow in  my eyes and that's how many options are missing   when compared to OptiFine OptiFine really is an  allinone solution but if you want the best of the   best then go with sodium and the missing options  can be fixed by downloading more mods like using   sodium extra and Rees sodium options these mods  don't make the performance of Minecraft better but   they do make your life better by adding tons of  new settings for example sodium extra adds options   so you can separately change animations particles  and many more little things I especially love the   multiple Dimension fog setting from here you can  disable the fog only in the nether which I usually   do but the reist sodium options change the sodium  settings layout and adds a search bar these are   just aesthetic mods but they make the experience  playing with sodium so much better there's even   more mods that work with sodium like lithium  lithium improves improves the FPS by rewriting   the game physics and MOB AI but it doesn't change  any vanilla mechanics in our performance test it   seems like with lithium the FPS is more stable  and I average around the 1,50 FPS that means   we are 200% better than vanilla Minecraft right  now but what's even better is that lithium is a   client and a server side mode which means you can  download it only for your own Minecraft client or   if you own a server you can install lithium  onto your server and all the players will   have a FPS boost even if they join with a vanilla  Minecraft client and if you don't know where to   host a LaGree server then ysh hosting.com is  the best site for hosting a Minecraft server   wise hosting is owned by us and I can promise you  we have the best hardware performance and support   and there are no hidden costs we have tons of  features that make server managing easy like   installing the mode lithum can be done by just a  single click if you host on wise hosting right now   you can use the code shulker and get 25% discount  on the first month just go to Wise hosting.com or   click the link down in the description the next  mod is invidium which in my opinion is truly   groundbreaking invidium is a rendering engine  for sodium which uses nvidia's open G systems   to increase FPS and render distance if you are  doing the same test as we did before then we   can see we have an average of 1,400 FPS the result  is just mind-blowing but as the mode name says it   only works with nvidia's graphics cards so right  now with sodium lithium and nidum we already have   increased FPS by 300% compared to vanila Minecraft  but that's not all with nidum this mod will really   shine if you want to increase the render distance  to do that we need to download a couple more mods   the first one is called Bobby this mod basically  tells Minecraft to load more chunks then we need   clot config and mode menu from the mode menu you  can set the render distance to 96 and now when   going into the game we currently have 25 render  distance but now let's change it to 96 and that   is just incredible just look at how fast all the  chunks are loading even with 96 render distance   my FPS is still so much better than it was in  vanila with a small render distance but there   are also some downsides with nidum it doesn't work  with shaders and there also can be some rendering   box that look like this and as I said it only  works with nvidia's graphics cards the amount   of render distance you can run smoothly will also  depend on how much video RAM your graphics card   has you might have heard about the mode called  distant Horizons before that does a similar thing   but you probably didn't know what it looks  like compared to nidum once you see the quality   difference I think we can all agree that invidium  is truly an incredible mods but I think we have   all been a bit frustrated because our storage room  lags this usually is caused by the chest and my   storage room has over ,000 double chest so it's  going to be laggy but downloading a mod called   Fast chest makes the performance much better  by removing the damic models this also means   with the mod you can't see how the chest lead is  opening but the good part is that the chests are   now rendered as all other blocks and if you go far  away they are still rendered and you can see them   as I said you lose animation but you gain so much  more so let's see the performance boost first I'm   walking in the storage room without the mod and  I get around 150 to 200 FPS now when I turn on   the fast justest mode and replicate my Movement  we can see the FPS has at least doubled now I   get 300 to 400 FPS which is much better for a  huge storage room another performance mode is   entity curling this mod skips rendering things  that are behind you or things that are behind   a mountain basically it uses your CPU course more  efficiently while tracking your movement to know   what to render and when to render it it might not  be the perfect test for this mod but but just for   comparison I looked at the same mountains as I  did before and even here I can see the average   FPS is 50 to 100 more so I think you can see how  powerful this mod can be right now we have gone   from 350 fps to 1,500 FPS which is a huge increase  in performance and that is all thanks to many   different mods downloading all the mods can be  a bit of a pain and there are actually even more   mods that give all a little performance boost  but there is a fix to this it is a mod called   fabulously optimized which has collected all the  mods into a single place and its performance is   better than OptiFine like we showcased so while  OptiFine maybe isn't the best FPS increase it is   still a great mod especially for beginners and  it has built-in features like damic lights that   make the Torches emit light around you connected  glass screenshot size and so on one I would have   to install all of those one by one for sodium so  the choice which one to use is up to you but they   are both great if you don't have any clue how to  install mods in Minecraft then I will also leave   a tutorial about this in the description  once you got the mods get the server from   WISEhosting.com and remember to use the code  Sher to get 25% off until next time see you [Music]
