they definitely don't taste as good as they look so let's check it out [Music] let's be real you're still wearing your pjs while you work now that's why we've got this autonomous smartdesk 2. it's got a sci-fi looking control box with a led screen letting you know the current height of the table and some satisfyingly clicky buttons a dual motorized standing desk which i think the most important takeaway is that this table benches more than i can and it reaches a maximum table top height of exactly four feet i'm 511 and that max is a little too tall for myself thankfully the controls offer four customizable preset heights that you or your much shorter girlfriend would use it in so yes it's a desk and no it doesn't plug into your macbook but if you think about it a desk will probably be the most used accessory out of everything in this video and i'm not here to try and explain why standing is great for your booty either the point is it gets you moving around while you work which for me gets the creative juices flowing i highly recommend copying a cushy floor mat as well autonomous sells one separately but there's plenty of options on amazon as well because honestly it'll feel like you're standing on a cloud and look i don't suggest you stay standing forever either you're already being tortured mentally at work dealing with your co-worker kelly all day so you should be able to just relax once in a while too which is why a motorized desk is perfect as it can accommodate both auto magically now i opted for the 53 inch laser tv size here but they do offer a super size model at 70 inches for me and i assume most of you too the standard is more than enough to accommodate my medically diagnosed hoarding problem and when it comes to tables at least for me i need to know they can take a beating thankfully with this one inch thick mdf wood tabletop here it can handle a little tough love and those dual motors are surprisingly quiet plus very steady as well as witnessed by this water in my large bottle remember to stay hydrated kids when testing really tall tables as i often do in my spare time my main concern is whether the table will bend crack or tip over from the added weight thankfully in my scientific shake test i found this table to hold its ground securely with nothing tipping over or sliding around too much which you can thank this thick long and black table foot four combined with the steel frame undercage these ain't no chicken legs like you're used to they're girthy and can handle more weight than you can and although not the cleanest wire game on youtube they do offer some cable ties that does the job to keep them all hidden away personally though my one and only gripe with this blackout beauty of a tabletop is this glossy fingerprint magnet finish but don't worry that's where our next accessory comes in this is the grovemade matte desk pad technically an accessory for your table but really it's for your soul and i get it it's hard to justify spending money to cover your tabletop with another tabletop but the best i can do is show you in comparison and if i were to put this feeling into words it's like touching what i would assume if printer paper and leather had a baby yeah that this pad has levels too the top being a linoleum which i'm going to let you just google what that is just know it's all natural goodness and the bottom is lined in cork great for gripping in place some added cushioning and it's hard to beat a clean brown and black combo the main benefit over a full on leather model is it doesn't scratch as easily either and it can be wiped down without staining basically preventing either of those issues on any surface it's protecting underneath as well so yeah it doesn't do anything to your macbook but you definitely feel way more like a boss even if you're just a pencil pusher at work the second best part though there's super subtle branding on the edge of the mat that actually adds to the aesthetic vibes of the whole design and like you saw with our scientific scratch tests it can take a beating too physically and emotionally speaking in the end a desk mat is one of those accessories you don't buy for yourself you add this to a list named things i want but can't afford and then send it to your significant other because who doesn't want a thick piece of paper for their birthday next up to actually carry your macbook around when you one day will be forced to go outside and interact with humans again this is the new moth carrying sleeve made of a pu fabric which isn't like the smelly kind like the name suggests it feels like a faux leather kind of finish but way more durable with a clean stitching job and finished edges to avoid fraying so easily the closure flap utilizes magnets to stay fairly slim but it also works really well in keeping it shut in place it's no buckle or zipper level of security but it's good enough to hold its ground even upside down i personally kind of dig the fake leather feel and vibe as it makes it way more scratch resistant to keep the aesthetic cleaner a little longer and you can toss it around or in a bag without having to worry about it the large opening along the top means it can accommodate even the 16 inch macbook pros but i've got the 13 here and it fits without too much sliding around either now what makes the sleeve special though are these embossed lines because when emptied it folds up into a stand that's what i call multi-purpose it's a fairly sturdy one too thanks to the ancient craft of origami you can smack your macbook down and now you've got a raised surface great for air circulation a slightly raised screen to meet your eye level and possibly a more comfortable typing experience on the go you can also convert it to a mildly lower angle which yes is just as strong and for some that slight angle difference can make a world of difference if you're typing away on a keyboard all day the bottom has a flap to catch the macbook so it doesn't slip and slide away and the wide platform keeps the macbook from wobbling around when mounted for me it's more so just surprising how strong this stand is because when disconnected it's so damn thin and it doesn't even end there turning around and the stretchy fabric-like window cutout accessible only from the inside becomes a fairly large storage pocket it can hold this thick board mouse a full macbook charger airpods and even wires to complete the getaway package all inside what used to be a flat surface but thanks to this yoga pants like design it molds around whatever is inside and keeps the other side flat so your macbook still fits comfortably inside oh and there's even a business card holder slot in case you time travel to the 90s but it also works great to hold your daily essentials as well when packed and ready to go the sleeve although fairly slim it keeps your macbook scratch and ding free while being able to carry your accessories and be quickly accessible too perfect if you just need to carry a few items or you can snack it into your bag for an extra level of protection and know that you can just grab and go with all the essentials with you but if sleeves aren't your thing here's another option from bblow their fold organizer it attaches directly to your macbook sized perfectly for the 13 inch model and connected with some large elastic straps that pretty much sums up the rest of the design too as it utilizes that throughout the front for plenty of adjustable sleeve pockets and with the built-in rubber strips it actually feels like everything is glued into place with my scientific shake test but all while still being easily accessible when you need it there's even full-on pockets to hide your other daily essentials on the other side you get one large mesh pocket that expands to fit a variety of shapes and sizes when it's all emptied though it's just a thick cloth covered hard panel that as the name suggests can fold because when detached from your macbook it also doubles as a table stand for quickly accessing your gear nearby and even doubling that leather tab as a phone stand too great if you're like me and like to doodle some masterpieces while being forced into a zoom meeting or if you're constantly hungry like i am always have a snack on hand when you're done raging at work for the day smack it flat because thanks to the fabric covered back you can conveniently grab everything single-handedly without worrying about scratching up your macbook and it's probably one of the slimmest and minimalist way to carry your accessories with you as it just feels like you're holding only a macbook around even better when strapped in i'm confident these pockets can even securely hold my iphone in place during my scientific shake test so carry it as is or you can use it to stay organized in a bag as well speaking of which in the back back pocket we've got our next accessory this is the line dock what may look like a fake macbook because it's got the same dimensions as one also made of a metal shell and totally has apple design aesthetics written all over it which i'm not complaining about but it's a dock offering much needed ports most notably an sd card reader and hdmi out on the opposite end yes it's way bigger than your standard dongle dock like this one from 12 self that i love and personally use but it sticks out and kind of flops around but if you're also the type to carry one of these around whether for your macbook or other devices and this an external drive because i know you cheaped out and got the smallest hard drive size for your macbook well the line duck has all three of that all hidden inside this what i imagine looks like what a macbook baby would be before it grows out a keyboard and screen it packs in a 19 000 milliamp battery and up to one terabyte of extra storage into the thickness of my pinky and still thinner than the macbook pro a rotating pastel rainbow macbook show throughout the video and that of course is all thanks to dbrand and their new special edition pastel designs available for a majority of popular devices out there my personal favorite goes to this off pink colorway but they've got a total of eight to choose from and of course they still have their whole backlog of other designs like another favorite bamboo because asian their skins are precisely cut to fit perfectly and more importantly since they use a 3m vinyl this stuff doesn't fray off no matter how much you rub a dub dub it it's one of the most affordable ways to add some grip and to keep your device scratch free without adding any bulk whatsoever plus when you decide to peel it off it doesn't leave any gunky residue behind either because the 3m vinyl they use is the best of the best and while it literally is as easy to install as i make it look with this editing magic their instructions and video tutorials make it pretty foolproof that i was able to do this eight times perfectly for this video lastly probably the most important accessory while using a macbook a proper chair this is the one i've used for way too long because i got it on sale way back when it's got a hard and non-adjustable armrest a lack of any sort of spine support and this terrible faux leather that requires me to adjust every few minutes or this would happen so my one piece of advice when it comes to chairs spend more now so you don't have to pay the doctors later to fix it that's where the autonomous ergo chair 2 comes in what i think is the best middle ground between dirt cheap chairs and super high-end ones both of which i've used in the past at this 400 price range you're still getting a lot of the high-end features like a mesh backing adjustable headrest fairly customizable arm rests that are also well padded and a cushion seat that's comfortable even after hours of usage thanks to the adjusting base length to fit your legs properly they've even got a flexible lumbar system typically found in more expensive chairs that really helps when editing on my computer for eight hours straight a lot less painful you've also got the standard height options too and just trust me when i say whether you buy this or another one don't skimp on a comfortable chair your future back pain will thank you for it or you know get a
