[Music] he's [Music] what's up youtube welcome back to my channel i'm out here with my guy brian and my queen olivia and today we're going to be doing a new york staycation vlog so i've been living in new york basically my whole life but i haven't done a lot of the touristy things so people ask me what should i do in new york i never really have a good answer so we're going to compile a couple of things to do this weekend so stay tuned you don't want to miss this one yeah so you know we can't start a new york city vlog without a bacon egg and cheese on a roll shout out to my ox [Music] we're heading into the edge [Music] so we were supposed to head to the edge to do this right here but sign says it is zero visibility the glass stairs are closed and the observation part of the observation deck is closed so unfortunately we're not going to go anymore hopefully we can reschedule for another day but we'll see look how sad brian is and they wanted ice cream so we're heading to van luin vegan ice cream [Music] yes i got this earl grey and then i got this one that has matcha green tea in it so it's very tea based it's good right yeah it's good it's flavors i've never had before and unfortunately since the edge was closed we are heading to the vessel which is right downstairs um it's beautiful here um unfortunately you can't climb up like used to be able to i think last year liv and i did it but now we can see if we can enter from the bottom floor what [Applause] so even if you look right here they have the stairs here but you actually can't go up but yeah still dope to see come and take pictures and just enjoy it's right in the beautiful hudson yards all right so we're leaving a vessel right here and now we're heading to the high line which is literally right here it's a really cool open-air park that is raised above the city used to be subway stations so let's enter my boy brian heading out and here we are at the high line oh so it's crazy because we just canceled going to the edge but look how clear it is from here now you can see everything ah man i wish we could go back but we already rescheduled for monday so stay tuned for that so i really love the highline because of all the beautiful trees and flowers and plants and of course the views of the city so even though you're in the middle of a busy city you're up above you don't have to worry about all the busy cars crossing the street so i really love the island and the thing that i personally love about the hard line is how they really repurposed it for the better so this um was actually supposed to be taken down by the city it was a railroad that connected the meatpacking district from other parts of manhattan and it's just great how they turn nothing into something and there's beauty in it so and one of the best parts about the high line is it connected us from the vessel to our next destination which is little island it's so nice here the views are so nice here like crazy right on the water [Music] so normally you need a reservation to get here after 12 but since we got here at 11 50 we're able to get in with no problems so get here early because it gets busy here especially during the summer and being a nice day always free though always free and they also have these food trucks here if you didn't eat and if you haven't already check out our video on this little island that we went here last year for the grand opening um it's super cool great concept and right in the hudson yard so check that out y'all but we're off to our next destination here and now we're heading to soho [Music] this weather is so unpredictable it was hot earlier before that it was cloudy and now it's raining so um but listen we're about to take you to one of our favorite restaurants in the city there's multiple locations but we're in local right now so we're gonna take you to that location right now [Music] okay and we got our food liv can't wait but liv says this is her favorite chicken farm in the whole world so we had to go to parm let's enjoy all right so there's a lot of really cute restaurants on the same street as parm but parm's only one we tried so far definitely our favorite 10 out of 10. i always get the spicy pasta with my chicken parm you can also get it with regular pasta sauce or you can get it on a roll so try it how you like it i always do the same thing all right we were just walking down the street from farm and right behind me is actually van lewen that ice cream that we had earlier which is really good so it's down here as well now we are at little italy so the really cool thing about new york that we really embrace is the celebration of different cultures depending on where you are in the neighborhood so right now we're in little italy but if you go a couple blocks over you'll be in chinatown and it's really cool how all these little neighborhoods have different people and now we're heading into sweet moment i don't know it's one of my favorite things so good though so good now we're in chinatown after some marvelous shaved ice oh yes from sweet moments the sun is out it's really good no thank you no thank you and we are on canal street and this is where you go to cop all the fake stuff you want if you want a rolex you want a gucci bag you want a prada bag they got you if you love her if they say if you adore her or her if you adore her this is where you go to fake drugs all right so i'm excited we're gonna do something that we didn't even know was in new york until a couple of months ago which is the skytram um and it heads all the way over to roosevelt island it only costs 275 to take the sky trim over which is the same thing as your mta pass so let's head over there and see what rose island has for us because we've never been [Music] [Music] just got down here in roosevelt island what did you think about that ride look i loved it it was great views all around over the water building she's fronting she was scared but it was so cool i love the views great views though and our next place we're going to is at the top of the graduate building they must not know i graduated [Music] all right so we are going to the 18th floor and that is the panorama room it's supposed to have amazing views great cocktails i don't drink but i just heard it was well recommended so let's head there [Music] sunday all right and we're here in the panorama room and it has amazing amazing views up here it's great because it's in roosevelt island which is in between queens and manhattan so you get both skylines on both sides and it's a beautiful decor um the ambiance here is top-notch what i would say though is on the expensive side they don't really have a lot of food here so you're really here for the vibe so enjoy it while you're here and you don't really need a lot of time unless you're just trying to chill on a balcony the whole time just come and have a nice class all right so we just got off from roosevelt island and now we're heading to liv's favorite place in the whole world which is what live oh yes it's central park we accidentally stumbled upon the zoo and i hear some barking seals oh look at these three of them obviously they stopped barking when they start recording but they were barking [Music] and we're heading to bethesda fountain but i really love this part of central park because it's like old i don't know architecture yeah i love every part of such a fire but i think this part is particularly cool [Music] [Applause] [Music] a lot of people out here it's saturday and here we are turtle ponds but it's a ton of turtles and geese you want this don't you that duck is just grabbing like can be grabbed live you want to go on a gondola ride i do i can't afford it and you can even see right there it's a castle live what's the name of this castle velveteer castle my favorite one live every single part of central park can't be afraid it is though it is do you understand what a favorite means yes i understand i love it [Music] [Music] hey guys welcome to my kingdom look around we are around we are here at the belvedere belvedere and the cool thing about here is this is how we keep the peasants out let me show you we got some crocodiles down there [Music] all right so we're just leaving central park heading to times square not as the sun has set i know i love y'all because i came here because this is a no-go for any new yorker but i am in times square uh i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm here but i gotta do it for the content for you i'm sorry i'm sorry really a lot going on my man right here talking about jesus coming back a man right here shooting his music video there's just a lot going on right now i ain't gonna hold you and if you look right up there that's where the ball is going drop for next year okay all right so here we are day two last night we wrapped it up in times square we didn't really talk too much about it because we didn't do that much in times square it was very chaotic for us but there's a lot of things to do as you saw there's lots of restaurants you go on tour buses yeah madame tusa so if you're a tourist and you want to get on the hot point hop off buses or do any of those things time square is uh and chaos is okay with you that's that's the place then you can go to times square um i'm going to stay out of there again but we're starting our day here in prospect park in brooklyn in brooklyn we're going to smorgasbord which is the culmination of all gentrification in brooklyn there's going to be tons of vendors with different food and drinks so if you're unsure about what you like or what you want to eat smorgasbord is a great place to go just try out some things just be sure to look up the schedule because there's different locations depending on the day and time of the year so here we are we pulled up as you can see a ton oh sorry a ton of different vendors food spots you know the hardest part about this is deciding where you want to eat because there's so many really good food spots there's vegan spots all different kinds of foods from all over the world fruit spots cocktails you name it here they got it so we gotta make another round to try to figure it out i don't know there's too many good options every time we saw something that we liked the next option was even better so i will see and be sure to come over and get some water it's good you have a water bottle good so liv decided to get a shrimp barbecue shrimp new orleans style oh boy so liv went to bona bona and got the this is coconut sorbet they have a lot of different flavors um and then it's also like a meringue on top that they flame it's so cool okay we have walked around here 10 times i've eaten at least twice and he over here he doesn't know what he wants to eat so if you have somebody who's indecisive about eating don't bring them here you should bring them here because there's a lot of options what you're gonna spend all day there's so many options that it makes it hard to choose all right and i went here to get the japanese chicken skewer [Music] and i decided to get some chicken wings from here this looks mad good though super far down a pork chicken beef lamb all right so we've never actually been to prospect park so while we're here we're just going to walk around see what it's all about i'm still eating because he took so long to figure out what he was going to get i got something you know i gotta get to save any new york city somewhere without it and this is cool you got a nice little kids park area over here got some food right here in prospect park even back here hey queen is a skating rink so the queen and i are on the pedal bikes single siri drawn out here listen we just went uphill and look i'm sweating my eyes are burning but i i would say it's fun i mean it's a good experience but this is some hard work live yeah we're in a predicament it's a red light really what should we do okay let's go live you're bad live your man you're a criminal you are a criminal all right and we just pulled up to coney island beach we out here met up with our favorite couple here julian and vanessa and we're celebrating in coney island i don't think this is somewhere that i'd want to celebrate but we're here to show y'all what it's like definitely breezy here that's a cruise ship it better not be a cruise that come to coney island also the new york aquarium is right here on coney island so it's definitely a cool place to take the kids yeah i hear you got the icees and we pulled up to coney island theme park this is dope a lot of people are out here tons of restaurants rides it's a cool little vibe it's a lot less ghetto than i remember i'm not gonna hold you julian really want to get this glizzy right here nathan's world famous hot dog since 1916. julian mounted sabering right first and foremost this is strictly for content i am personally not a glitzy gobbler but julian look at him barfing it down right now look at him he couldn't even wait julian insisted and i said you know what you know what i'm on in coney island i gotta eat heaven so i got it you know what to make it a little more fancy i got a little sauteed onions put my picky up with that [Music] all right and we're entering the amusement park cool little vibe yeah naughty wallet [Music] let's check out the thunderbolt [Music] [Music] all right so we're leaving coney island we're uh have dinner plans in brooklyn uh they're up north weather up north so heading up there right now we're gonna take the cube so stay tuned yeah [Music] and we are staying tonight at doubletree [Music] we got the 50 000 honors points all right and we're on the 42nd floor nice calm little place oh it's a good view though that's the empire state building we're very happy oh yeah we are hired though all right and for dinner we're going to tacombi live don't want to be outside so we'll go inside all right so the food just came and it's so good liv couldn't wait this is the fried fish taco the this one is al pastor this one is another kind of pork i don't remember what it is but liv god what did you get liv got a spicy bean and cheese um burrito and it's still good it has like really good salsa in it too okay and also i got this watermelon tequila watermelon tequila i got a watermelon juice [Music] because of my status i get free breakfast here just put fake stuff or you can order it but it's 18 hours a person that they give me so let's eat i'm saying do you oh sure of course i believe so we're going to run it back and we're going to try to do the edge today um i'm going to try to do the climb live are you going to do with me no but i'm hoping my boy brian will come meet me i hope he's not too scared [Music] i'm so excited bro ryan how do you feel about this i don't know i'm not nervous at all you see the he's nervous i glasses this is going to be a great time and now we split in all right liv no accident we're not having that my boy jake my boy jamie said no accident all right so brian had a couple brews so i don't know if he's gonna pass but we gotta get a breathalyzer in order to get him here so now pass brian all right let me see the number let me see you so they don't let you bring anything up so everything goes into these lockers right here [Music] all right so we just got done with the city climb you know for doing this we got each got a medallion but brian how was it it was scary but we did it and i'm still alive so i'm very happy about that it was a crazy experience um crazy leaning back over but great views of the city um we saw jersey we saw the dirty water in the hudson river central park so we got to see amazing views listen i would tell you to do it because there's no other view in new york city like that one so check it out it's a must do the climb all right and now we're at the observation deck and just check out these views [Music] so from here is cool because right here is the hudson river over there is the tallest building in this side of the world which is the one world trade center and that's 17 1776 feet over there you can see the empire state building and just overall really cool we were actually all the way up there and what's necessary in new york is to get the famous magnolia bakeries banana pudding so let's get one let's eat this banana pudding we just took the c train uptown now we're harlem we're gonna try some good soul food from a place that your grandmother recommended which is melbourne and we're pulling up [Music] wow all right so we just left melba's it was pretty good soul food definitely a long wait so plan your time accordingly um what else we're walking through central park north so it's still my favorite park so ultimately you can be here in manhattan or if you get all the way to harlem check it out okay so we just got here at whitehall station which is where the staten island ferry is yep and we're hoping not to go to staten island but to go see the statue of liberty for free and we're off on the staten island ferry you get some beautiful views of the right here natural liberty ellis island for free so we made it to staten island look okay time to go back let us know if you have any suggestions for what to do in staten island because for now we're just going to go right back all right come true hey so we just got off the stand island ferry coming back they leave every 30 minutes when it's non-peak times so on the weekends i think yes so during the weekdays you can get them as well but we're right back to our hotel at doubletree which is like seven minutes away from the ferry listen when you're in new york you gotta get some new york style pizza two bros used to be the dollar pizza boy 9.50 this inflation joe barney got to do something right now we are heading to brooklyn and going across the brooklyn bridge [Music] i'm in the afternoon close to sunrise sunset it's like a zoo here there's so many people here [Music] so typically i'm used to driving on the brooklyn bridge so it's a change of change of scenery change of pace yeah both yeah for me to walk across it but it is cool it's just super super touristy so just be prepared for it if you're just trying to walk across you see a ton of people stopping to take pictures but it's a great scenery especially because you're crossing um you have a view of both skylines definitely and they sell drinks and fruits all the way to if you need a snack we're leaving manhattan finishing the brooklyn bridge because now welcome to brooklyn and now we're pulling up to dumbo i guess everybody and their mother had the same itinerary as us because it is packed it's holiday so there's gonna be lots of people so right here is brooklyn bridge park right underneath the manhattan bridge and dumbo actually stands for down under manhattan bridge overpass so let's head into it it's going to be really cool sunset a lot of people come here to picnic um and just chill like a lot of different games and activities here all right in dumbo they even have this nice little carousel area right here is the brooklyn bridge and everybody over here nice little picnic sunset vibes all right and we're ending our video here it's been an amazing weekend in new york city yes we got to see some manhattan brooklyn a little bit of harlem and it's been great just to go around and show you guys from our perspective um and it's good for us because we haven't done a lot of these things even though we technically are from new york um so we're gonna sit here just watch the sunset and enjoy the rest of our night because we have work tomorrow so thank you guys so much thank you guys uh
