are you looking for a high quality heat press that won't break the bank on this heat press guide we're going to show you the best heat press for your wallet we're going to be testing pressing and crowning a champion hey Superstars I'm Phil and today we're going to be exploring the top five heat presses that we found on Amazon now we chose these heat presses because it's readily available and it's on Amazon Prime not only that but it's going to be under 300 we understand that there is better heat presses out there like this Geo Knight this is a 16 by 20 and this costs over sixteen hundred dollars now we wanted to find something that's not going to break the bank something that's affordable something that's great for individual and small business owners that want something that is going to be good and it's not going to be too bad on the wallet now you also want to watch till the end because we are going to be comparing this to The Benchmark heat press here and also we're going to be doing a wash test so that you can see the results as well as us testing this out so the heat presses we chosen for this test is going to be the Slender 12 by 15 five in one we've got the vivar heat press 15 by 15. we've got the HTV wrong 15 by 15. we've got the qriket easy press 2 and last we've got the Viva Home Eight in One before we get started I just want to make a disclaimer that we are not affiliated with any of these heat press companies we're just doing basic tests for you to kind of see if this fits into your budget now one thing I also wanted to mention is that we already did some of these tests so if you want to watch our other videos we get thorough with each individual heat presses that's how we got our pros and cons now let's get started with what we're going to be using for these presses these are going to be the transfers so we'd make these transfers nine and a half inches by 13 inches so these are fairly basic standard size for t-shirts and this is what we're going to use to heat press you're going to be seeing some difficulties and some challenges on some of these heat presses but most importantly you're going to see the results so let's go ahead and get started so before we go into the pros and cons and what we think about this we're gonna go we're gonna talk about the product description here so this again is going to be the Slender five in one it has a hat and also a mug press for sublimation now this is actually sized at a 12 by 15. it is a five in one it weighs roughly about 32.9 pounds it has a digital control board it is roughly running at 1250 Watts 110 volt so it plugs into your regular outlet has a 360 degree rotating arm and it has a non-step rubber grip and based off the description it's supposedly able to heat up to 482 degrees now what we're going to do first is we're going to be doing a temperature test the shirts that we're going to be using are Bella canvases these are the three zero zero one T's and these are going to be a hundred percent cotton so first and foremost I'm just going to go ahead and do a temperature test this one does have a slide out which I failed to mention but let's go ahead and lay this shirt down now I'm actually going to be laying it sideways because the design is going to be sideways it is a 13 inch a 12 inch will not fit this way so that is one of the cons here but again I'm going to do a temperature test now on our other video it's a very thorough temperature test where we test the underneath plating the heat the distribution the range between the Heat but here I'm just going to do a very basic test where I'm going to heat press I'm going to heat press and then I'm going to show you guys what the temperature is once I pull out so it's already set at 300 degrees we're going to press at seven seconds so let's go ahead and press I'm going to get so that's the timer so it's currently at 97 degrees I'm gonna pull out 232 degrees let's do this one more time just to be safe foreign 251 degrees that was what I was getting from the midpoint here this is our basic heat test now the next thing is we're going to press our design now we are going to be using this on our wash test so each one of our designs we have some challenging things we have some color we have some a small white prints here these are going to test the pressure and then we also have the rating here so on Amazon it was rated at a 4.4 2076 rating as of right now this cost here is also 176 dollars and what we're also going to be doing because we have this here is because we're going to be doing the wash test each shirt will have the label of the heat press that it came from so let's go ahead and slide this in there let's go ahead and press alright now let's go ahead and let this cool down let's go ahead and appeal [Applause] so all the details came out looks pretty good so far let's go ahead and do that second press flip this around turn this back in there let's do that second press all right guys so everything came out so far now we're going to talk a little bit about the pros and cons I'm glad everything transferred everything was great now our pose here is that it was easy to use it's a five in one so it has a hat and also a sublimation mug and it has solid pressure all around on a previous video we did a dollar bill test everything was solid it has a slide out tray which makes it a lot easier it has a 360 rotating arm that works pretty well to access all the areas it has a timer countdown that actually works and beeps and actually heats up to 300 degrees in 3 minutes and 45 seconds and what we were getting as far as the heat temperature when we were testing underneath we got a range from 243 to 270 degrees and it does include two silicone sheets that I did not use and last it does come with a three year warranty with the manufacturer so again it comes with Amazon Prime you can return it within 30 days but it also has a three year warranty so that was nice now the cons let's talk about the cons there was no pressure gauge so I wasn't able to tell what the pressure was I had to basically manually tighten it or loosen it there's no Auto release this handle had to be manually lifted and closed the timer it counted down but there was no Auto Stop and I all and it did not also automatically start so I had to also trigger that I didn't really like that the cord it kind of got in the way on certain areas it wasn't the best to go around and work with because this side will will turn all the way through I didn't really like that the tip of the cord also is a little bit flimsy here so I did not love that effect and when we measured the actual press instead of the advertised 12 by 15 we got 11 and a half by 15. so that wasn't accurate and the bottom pad was something that we noticed it was too easily removed it got in the way too much I really didn't love this feature that was some of the cons here so let's go ahead and test the next press so the next one we're going to be testing is the vivore 15 by 15. now this is a two in one heat press it had a current 535 ratings on Amazon at 4.0 again this is a 15 by 15. it weighs roughly about 40 pounds as stated on the product description it does come with a digital control board it is roughly about 1500 watts it plugs into the standard outlet at a 110 volt it has a Teflon insulated coating 360 degree rotating arm has a non-slip handle has a hat press attachment now what we're going to do next is we're going to do a heat test and let's go ahead and do a heat temperature test I'm gonna swing this out now it does not swing out so tucking this in is a little bit difficult I'm also seeing it wobble a little bit the weight is not very distributed here so it is leaning on onto the side right there which is not good let's go ahead and bring this around we're going to go ahead and do a temperature test so let's go ahead and line this up and we're going to press so there we go so I can't get the timer to go off of I've tried I couldn't get it to work that happened last time as well let's go and test the temperature swing it out 264 degrees that was the that was the main heating area let's do another quick test I'm gonna go and count down one two three four five six seven 255 at the very top so that's the temperature that temperature range that I'm getting with the speed press now let's go ahead and do our test as you see once I move this around it is already wobbly now what is good about this is that I can load my shirt normally and I can put the full design here which is a nine and a half by 13 right on here and it will press in one press so let's go ahead and swing this around again let's go and press all right I'm gonna go ahead and let this cool down so this is a warm cold peel we're going to go ahead and peel after we let it cool down a bit that's going to grab a corner yo so right away I did see some numbers not transferring through now if you watch our full video we had a issue with tightening this up the pressure wasn't quite well the the transfer that we used on the original video did transfer through but when we tested it with some small fine details it did not the pressure is not very great on this one so I'm going to just go ahead and turn this around and I'm going to go ahead and at least give it the second press [Applause] now I had this Titan at the very very Max as well so it is a fair assessment it's just that this heat press did not was not able to handle the pressure all right now the second press is done now let's go ahead and talk about our take on this now as far as the pros there wasn't many Pros to this except that it was a 15 by 15 versus a 12 by 15 you're going to get a bigger service it's easier to load a full design here now it also is a two in one so it did come with the hat press but we did not test the Hat press because we are focusing on t-shirts and last it is only at 169 dollars so it is on the lower end for a heat press that was the only basic Pros for this now let's talk about the cons the uneven pressure was one of the main things we did a dollar bill test it was not it wasn't the pressure was not set the dollar bills kept falling out it was very uneven now even on the max it did not hold pressure so that's one of the main things that we did not like about this press it also took eight minutes and 20 seconds to heat up to 300 degrees so that took a very long time almost a double almost double the time compared to other presses now the heat range it did range from 175 to 200 degrees 203 degrees when we tuned it up to 300 so it was about 100 degrees less than what we normally like to press with on our t-shirt now smell we also got a slight smell when we start to heat this up not exactly sure where the smell is coming from whether it's the padding or whether it's from the heating element it did have a little bit of a stench to it now it was also hard to load and align the shirts it's not enough room here especially if you're dealing with hoodies dealing with things that are thicker this gap between the arm and the pad is not significant it's very difficult now the the most important thing that we did not like about this is that it was unstable it wobbles it could cause a fire this could also pull out this is something that we would not recommend I really did not like the construction the uneven balance of this not a well thought out product there's not there's only a 30-day Amazon return policy on this one so they even the manufacturer don't carry a long warranty period so without with that said we're going to go ahead and test the next press so next this is the HTV Rod this is a 15 by 15 Auto heat press now let's talk about the product description that we got from Amazon it weighs roughly about 40 pounds it can press items up to one inch thick has an easy to use digital control board it it is up to 1 500 watts 110 volts so it can fit onto your standard outlet it also has a dual heating engine to heat up quickly it has a easy slide out for easy loading and again it's automatic press automatic release and it also has two modes that you can set if you're frequently pressing certain garments now what we're going to do next is we're going to do a temperature heat test foreign let's go ahead and load it is a little bit difficult there's not a lot of room underneath to load but there is at least space for me to get my fingers underneath the padding is very sturdy the slide is also very sturdy and again a fifth is a 15 by 15 so it can easily fit our transfers on it so let's go ahead and do a temperature test I'm going to slide it in let's go ahead and press the button here it's automatically going up and let's go ahead and see what the temperature is so it hit about 240 at one point I'm gonna do another test 254 that's the max that I saw it at 254. let's go ahead and grab our transfers now let's go ahead and lay it here right in the center let's go ahead and press [Music] okay now let's go ahead and let this cool down a bit while it's cooling down I did forgot to talk about the Amazon ratings here it is rated at a 4.5 star 721 ratings this one in particular cost 251 dollars so let's go and appeal the transfer off and let's go ahead and take a look I'm going to go ahead and grab a corner hold down the shirt and peel now take a look at that briefly before I do a second press everything transferred through even all the fine details transferred so that is a good sign with pressure let's go ahead and load this back in easily Glide it press the button again and what I'm also noticing is that the heat is it's level at 300 degrees so that's a pretty good sign okay now let's go ahead and take this down right here and now let's talk about what we think about this so with this heat press our take here is that it is easy to use so far it comes with a silicone sheet even though I failed to use that it solid it has solid pressure all around so we did a dollar bill test if you haven't watched our video on that make sure you tune into it we pressure test this and overall it held very good pressure with the dollars now it also has a super easy slide out tray not only does it slide out easily it is also very sturdy I was thinking that this would tip over but it's not the padding is very good as well it retains good amount of heat the timer countdown also works it also beeps after you set it it also has two settings that is user friendly so if you have two common garments that you're using you can easily set that you know you can easily toggle between the settings there now it also had a pretty quick heat it was heat it was able to heat up to 300 degrees in four minutes and 17 seconds and at 300 degree these when we did an overall heat test it was able to retain heat between 242 and 275 degrees and besides the Amazon 30-day guarantee it also comes with a one year warranty with the manufacturer so those are very nice those are very nice with this heat press now the cons a couple things that we did not love about this one is that there was no pressure gauge so you're not able to see the pressure you're also not able to control the pressure you're also limited by the one inch Gap right here so if you're dealing with something like a duffel bag you're going to have a difficult time pressing with this but it can also do hoodies even though it's a little bit tight you can manage to fit a hoodie in there and overall it is also very plasticky so the construction is all plastic even though it is 40 pounds and it feels very sturdy it is all plastic but the good side is you can't touch everything here so it is pretty safe to have around and again lastly instead of a 15 by 15 area it was actually 14 and a half by 14 and a half so those are the cons with this machine overall it's not too shabby let's go ahead and check the next machine all right guys so the next one we're gonna be testing is going to be this heat press from Cricut this is the infamous Cricket easy press 2. it is roughly 12 by 10 inches now this one is rated on Amazon at 4.8 stars at 22 418 ratings so people love this even though it's not quite a heat press it should work with our transfers now the Amazon product description has this again at 12 by 10 inches it weighs roughly 8.6 pounds it has an easy display digital display it is a thousand three hundred and fifteen watts is a standard 110 volt so it plugs into your regular outlet and it heats up to 400 Degrees our transfers only need 300 so that is plenty with this heat press so the next thing we're going to do is a temperature heat test now we're going to be using a heat press pillow because we do have a glass surface here so that's going to lay this shirt down I'm gonna go ahead and get my infrared gun ready and then I'm going to go ahead and grab this easy press I'm going to lay it down I'm going to press the timer and I'm going to wait until the timer counts down let's go ahead and see 240 degrees so let's go ahead and try it one more time I'm gonna put a little bit of pressure with one hand now and see if that helps the pressure oops I forgot to put the timer on sorry about that so let's go ahead and lay it down one more time let me make sure that it is not completely hot because I do want to even test here so okay it is not hot let's go ahead and grab this it's going to lay it down press the timer I'm going to use one hand to put pressure on it there you go 242 degrees let's do it one more time like the other presses 269 270 degrees so it got rather hot so it did heat up to a good amount of temperature now what we're going to do next while it's on here is we're going to particularly press our transfer on here so let's go ahead and get our 12 by 13 I mean my nine and a half by 13 inch design now one of the limitations here is that you're not going to be able to do this in one press I'm going to have to do this in two sections so I have this here let's go ahead and get started lay this down let's press that I'm going to use two hands put some pressure on here move to the next section okay let's go ahead and let it cool down now let's go ahead and peel this and see how it works grab a corner there you go everything came out perfect I'm going to flip this around lay it down I'm going to grab the Press again let's go ahead and go over it for a second press next section okay there you go let's go ahead and turn this machine off and let's talk about what our thoughts of on this is so the pros so far it is easy to use the buttons are very easy the lights the digital display is super clear and easy to use relatively lightweight but unlike a heat press you actually have to lift this each time by yourself it works like an iron it heats up fairly quickly so for 300 degrees it took us 3 minutes and 22 seconds and the heat rings from 225 to 238 so it was consistent but the heat was on the low end now the timer countdown works and it also beeps when it's done overall it's a pretty good price compared to the other heat presses at 169 dollars and it automatically turns off when you're not using it for a while and it has a bag and carrying case so that is very portable now the design also allows you to use it on bigger items like a canopy or bigger surface areas because it's technically just an iron now it does also come with a one year warranty from the time of the purchase now let's talk about the Cons with this qriket easy press now the cons it is only 12 by 10 inches in coverage so that's not a huge coverage that you're working with it's also curved so it's not quite 12 by 13 or 12 by 10 that's something you need to factor in it also has no pressure gauge so we don't know how the durability is until after our wash test so stay tuned for that another thing as well is if you are a lighter person for example 110 pounds versus somebody that's 300 pounds the pressure you're able to put is going to be inconsistent so 100 pound person I really don't know how much pressure you're able to apply onto the shirt so we'll have to see about that or you guys will have to see about that let us know if you guys have been using this if that's been an issue there's also no automation so it's one by one one shirt at a time yes you can lay it out but again you're ironing it one at a time there's no Auto release again the main thing that I also don't like about this is that imagine a 400 400 degree iron if they accidentally slips or follow falls on you it will burn you so that is something that is a little bit dangerous but it does come with a base so that's something that you would have to judge for yourself and you also need some type of heat press pillow and surface in order to use this but the heat was overall low 225 to 238 degrees so that's what our thoughts on this we're going to do the wash test so that we can see the end results here let's go ahead and jump to the last key press that we're going to be testing out all right Superstar so this is the last heat press that we're going to be testing this is the Viva Home Eight in One upgraded heat press it is a 12 by 15 size heat press now the Amazon rating here is going to be 2038 ratings at 4.2 stars now the product description it is eight in one so it comes with your three different hat or I'm sorry three different mug mug presses it also comes with a hat press but again we are testing just the heat press alone now it weighs in at 39.6 pounds it has a digital control board it has a low wattage of 850 Watts it is a 110 volt it has a double heating tube so it's supposed to heat up pretty quick it has a 360 rotating arm and it has a non-slip rubber grip and supposedly it heats up to 392 degrees now let's go ahead and load a shirt so that we can do a proper heat test and compare it with the rest now it doesn't have a slide out but there is about an inch and a half Gap right here so it's a little bit more room than the others which is a little bit nicer you can probably fit a hoodie through here but I'm going to go ahead and lay this shirt down so we can do that infrared heat test okay now that it's there let's go ahead and press this down 330 236 degrees so let's go ahead and start again whoops let's go ahead and reset the timer now I'm going to close it press the timer okay so something happened there you go hold on okay let's go ahead and load press it down press the timer I'm sorry about that let's go ahead and see why it's doing that okay there you go okay so now it was on a setting that was adjusting the time so let's go ahead and press it down again press the timer I'm sorry okay there you go I am pressing the wrong button so once more press press that all right 267 degrees it's fairly warm not too bad now issue here it doesn't fit the shirt the the Press is a little bit short it doesn't fit a standard adult shirt what you'll need to do in this case it does have alarms so that's kind of good so what I'm going to have to do is turn this sideways to load what I would probably recommend is probably loading this on the side taping it up then bringing it back because it is hard to get to the exact midpoint from here but we are just testing the transfer so let's go ahead and go and one two press down press the timer the alarm goes off easy to turn handle let's let it cool now that is cooled let's go and appeal I'm going to grab the edge use one hand to hold down peel away everything looks good so far I'm gonna go ahead and turn this film around and do the second press stop the timer it does beep let's take the shirt off we'll get it ready for the wash test now that's going to talk about our thoughts on this now our thoughts on this so far is rather easy to use has a pretty economic handle here it is low wattage at 850 Watts it is actually the lowest rated watt key press that we've tested but I don't know the true wattage here so I will be testing this in my car with a jackery to see if it's portable and actually in 850 Watts later on so tune in for a video there and it is also eight in one so it comes again with three different mug presses it also comes with a half press so it actually accomplishes a lot of things and a lot of uses now I can also press items that are up to one inch thick and the heat range did vary from 245 degrees all the way to 295 degrees Fahrenheit so it did get up pretty high in temperature now the cons again it seems very plasticky everything is very plastic just not very sturdy but again it is easy to hold and touch in different places like the arm the handle even the top of the heating element it says do not touch but it is not that hot now there's also no pressure gauge you can only control it with the knob and another thing is that the uh that the buttons were a little bit difficult to use um there's no Auto release the cord in the back is in the way so if you swing this too much even though it says 360 the cord May return it may plug out it may damage it over time I did not like that and again when I measured the the padding here instead of the advertised 12 by 15 I was getting 11.5 by 15 and it did take 5 minutes and 15 seconds to heat up uh to 300 degrees so it did take up quite a bit now it does come with a 30 day guarantee from Amazon but that's it there's no manufacturer warranty now the worst thing that I I did not like about this press is the assembly time it took almost 20 minutes to assemble this even though it came with all the tools all the screwdrivers it took 20 minutes right out the box when I opened it it was quite overwhelming to look at to begin with and you definitely want to watch the full video if you guys want to see the install on this but nonetheless we did test this out we do have all the t-shirts pressed what we're going to do next is head to the laundromat so that we can do a wash test and we can show you guys the results so let's go all right guys so we're at a laundromat these are commercial laundry machines we're gonna go ahead and wash these shirts so this is going to be from the Cricut it's going to be from the HTV Raw this one's going to be from the vivore this is the Slender five in one and the last we're going to wash is the Vivo home agent one so let's get that in there let's suppose this thank you this is actually the normal the Buns right there but it's been used so we're gonna wash it in Normal it's going to put some detergent I'm only gonna put the least amount which is the a it's good five shirts not much go ahead and pour it in logic card let's go [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] I know you guys are excited to see the watch test results from all the heat presses and I want to share it with you guys but guess what we had two more heat presses that just arrived from amazon.com so it wouldn't be fair if I would if I also didn't test these guys out so follow me for part two of the video where I'm going to be unboxing testing it out and finally I'm going to be showing you guys the test results and then crowning the king of the 300 heat press so let's go ahead and head over to part two thank you [Music]
