responsive in daily driving acceleration is rather slow it takes more than 10 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour from a stop fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon is not so great for its class the stand out in this popular class styling is a key initial draw to the rogue and the exterior has glamour there are hints of toyota rav4 lines from the side but overall the body is distinctive and a bit more sophisticated than the norm inside everything looks and feels substantial [Music] not that bad actually the cvt the paddle shifters with the cvt actually imitate gear changes quite well [Music] the rogue boasts a generous standard advanced safety and driver assist systems that is hard to match in this segment the so-called nissan safety shield 360 which includes automatic emergency braking tests it has many of the same attributes as the hybrid version the interior is nicely detailed and has high quality materials and the seats are comfortable but it's quite snug has very frustrating extra couple thousands for higher trims the crv's performance is well-rounded with spry acceleration great fuel economy and a forgiving right quality and road noise has been significantly reduced with this generation forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard on all trim lines on the downside it comes with few standard infinitement features and the optional touchscreen system is not user friendly number two 2021 mazda cx-5 the cx-5 is a more mature suv than its predecessor thanks to its improved ride comfort noise isolation and interior quality it's one of the more docile responsive and easy to drive combination and fuel economy is a competitive 24 miles per gallon overall mazda made several changes to the cx-5 for 2021 a larger touchscreen infinite system overall rating all forster models feature the same 182 horsepower four-cylinder engine it's mated with a continuously variable automatic transmission cvt the engine has enough power to easily get up to speed in the city or out in the countryside though it sometimes takes a moment to respond when you press the throttle the cvt works pretty well and generally operates smoothly this crossover's fuel
