show you how to make that make some biscuits and gravy use Bob Evans this is savory sage this is my favorite you could use regular or high or any type any type of Bob Evans sausage and they get that going in the skillet before you do this you want to cook a pound of bacon for 1/2 pound to work you need at least the bacon from from at least a half a pound of bacon you need the grease from half a pound of bacon I already made some having a jar you can use all the grease from a pound of excess you want to make a big pot this recipe has been in my family for over a hundred years to use both sausage grease and bacon grease to make this gravy I just call it gravy even though it's sausage gravy because if you got sausage why not have it in a gravy people call it sausage gravy it sounds kind of weird I'm gonna put it in the listing but it's just crazy now if it didn't have sausage you would call it sawmill gravy and it was made from chicken will be called chicken gravy [Music] and when people say sausage gravy and biscuits they definitely don't know how to cook it because that's not how you say it you say biscuits and gravy straight up or biscuits and sausage gravy but you don't ever call it sausage gravy and biscuit did you sound like an idiot when you say that I shot my sausage there's a whole entire time some people like big old clump I don't like it like that like it all to have the same consistency [Music] another things you'll need you're gonna need some milk doesn't matter if it's 2% or vitamin D she's gonna need some self-rising flour you can use all-purpose but you're gonna have to add more salt salt and pepper at the end of it thank you that's the main agreement making it taste great you don't have it till this is done I'll come back when this is all done now it's time to add some baking grease I'll pull this back so you can see feel the the sausage grease here already now there's no exact measurement to the the more the more grease you got more gravy you're gonna make I like a lot of gravy I'd say that's about enough to get that cook down there's no exact amount of flour neither make it are you doing you got any sense you can't mess it up show you how it's supposed to look [Music] you want to keep it cooking for a minute after you flower I don't want it to be uncooked flour and to be gross a lot of stuff on the bottom when you add the milk that's gonna go into a grey that's the good stuff you see where it's not too dry I might add milk I'm gonna add more milk than I need at first it's gonna be runny looking and it's gonna thicken up then we're glad milk another one or two or three or however many times it takes to get it to where we want people say white gravy and brown gravy this is white gravy with bacon grease so I don't know what to call it I think it's a hybrid all I know is my great-grandma and she made this four year she's not alive any longer but this gravies been in my family for a hundred years more than 100 and it's the best and I've had I'm had it all over the place all over the world I've had it it's never been as good as this [Applause] all right to cut the video for about a minute and a half starting to thicken up now I'm adding a little more milk because I want to marry all the flavors together I'm gonna get it thick one more time and then I'm gonna call it done but you could you could do this over and over until you get it however you want the only thing you can't do is you cannot add flour after this point once you add milk you can no longer add any more flour that's it right there now all you do is you add a little pinch of salt and however much pepper you want one thing about this is I turned my heat off [Music] one thing about this is Bob Evans sausage is the key to making good gravy Jimmy Dean sausage is good too but I use it in cabbage rolls all right I'm going to show you the finished product I didn't make the biscuits from scratch this time but I'll make another video later on do you ever have somebody up with your biscuit like that and pour gravy over it third dummy don't trust them they're evil this is how you do it right there can't do it any other way if you do you're either an idiot or like I said some evil turd that don't know how to cook gravy
