Best Best Man Speech Ever

[Music] first off I just like to say I know you guys have been saying this this whole time just to soak in the moment so I just like to have Ally maybe stand up and we could all just enjoy how beautiful she looks tonight just absolutely stunning um Ryan thanks for coming man I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only thing standing between you all and dinner so I'll be sure to drag this out as long as possible for those of you who don't know me I'm Ryan's little brother the best man Tyler aka TJ I know that was pretty confusing for a majority of the Hanson family wondering who the hell is TJ KITT is when I'll always introduce myself as Tyler but we are in fact one in the same person so it's nice to meet all of you again thank you and ladies yes I am single [Applause] [Music] but but tonight isn't about me in fact the past ten months haven't been about me at first I mean I was so excited I was thrilled I mean my best friend up here is getting married which is so amazing but it gets a little old as you come to each family event I mean holidays birthdays anything Thanksgiving Christmas my birthday even all we're talking about is invitations dresses cake flowers I mean the list just goes on and on and on but in all seriousness I've loved every second of it to see you guys go through the motions and to create this beautiful open wedding of a wedding is absolutely amazing just so I don't make the same mistakes at my wedding so thank you guys but honestly this is so me you guys did an awesome job putting this together so please round of applause for everyone involved so where do I start with this Ryan okay I was winging it um so Ryan and I met in the 90s he was about four when I turned his life upside down I was the little brother that he had always wanted somebody that could annoy him for life somebody that would beat him in every single aspect of his life and really just someone for him to look up to at all times even height included in fact let me fill you all in on how much Ryan is always aspired to be like me the best man the favorite child and yet again I still can't stress this enough single ladies so let's go back to middle school for Ryan I told him that I had a dream of being a president of the school so what did he do right before me he ran for president and got it not sure if you even remember this but there are a few times where you were just begging to look like me more and more in fact by a few times every day and I took matters into my own hands and would dye my hair darker for Halloween to look more like you so you're welcome for that and then how about high school I mean years before Ryan chose to attend Notre Dame I told him I want to continue to wear uniforms for as long as possible I want to attend a Catholic High School even though I'm not religious by any means and I want to play on the basketball team and Ryan did just that and then college same thing we both go to U of A I mean real original Ryan then what just like any first grader I had big dreams I wanted to go straight into custom software development at a very young age and then Ryan followed right in my footsteps and funny how months before I commit to buying and remodeling my first home you do the exact same I've been more than happy to help guide you through life and be that perfect role model for you to look up to but now I'm happy to finally see you go off on your own path in fact I remember talk to you about Ali a few years ago in the first couple months of you dating and to be honest I kind of zoned out a little bit and I just remember thinking you are such an idiot like you're young single fun I mean we have it all and you're just gonna get down on one knee and throw this all away I think it was at that point that you finally realized that you were gonna be the big brother for me to look up to because none of those other moments before where this case and now here we are you see I grew up with my best friend as you can tell he's truly been the role model for me my whole life that I've looked up to I think I even looked up to you so much that there's never even a reason or time to tell you because it was so obvious and everyone can see it so please take the time to smell the roses because this will probably never happen again you are incredibly intelligent you're funny you're determined and you're even almost as good-looking as me but in all honesty Ryan you are everything I could have asked her in a Big Brother and has my biggest fan and has my best friend I'm so incredibly excited for you to share the rest of life with Allie Allie and I have gotten along since the very beginning I think she knew that I was such a crucial part of Ryan's life that she made it such a point to earn my trust respect and support for them and literally up until this why I made it earn it for every single second she could even attest a few days ago she did this exact thing she would always walk up to me with this huge smile and that happiness that you guys all know that just glows around her when she walks into a room and she put her arm around me and asked are you excited for maybe if are the family are you ready for me to be a jacobs and for you to be an uncle soon someday sorry it slipped I don't know and every single time I'll just crush her little hopes and dreams with something like a li there's still time to call it all off or do you really think this is still gonna happen for you and despite my constant verbal rejection she kept hoping for my approval and really all this time I've known that she's so perfect for you and so perfect for this family I think she actually made Ryan and I much closer and I'll forever be grateful for that so thank you Ali before you guys started dating I looked up to mom and dad's relationship they had everything that I ever wanted fun love success support it was like the greatest little family but it's not just their relationship I have to look up to anymore and stay longer just my big brother look up to either with us a tally so everybody please raise a glass to my best friend and his beautiful wife the happy couple mr. and mrs.
