Best authentic food to try in Japan - Tonkatsu /Udon /Ramen /Soba /Shabu shabu / Takoyaki /Yakiniku

hey guys my name is Carline but my friends call me car I love traveling and in this episode I want to share with you some of my favorite foods I've tried in Japan all righty let's Dive Right In up first number one udon noodles you simply can go to Japan and not try all the different types of noodles they have to offer UDA noodles are the thicker noodle made from wheat flour usually cooked in a mild broth made from Dashi soy sauce and mirin or sake and topped off with crunchy tempura or scallion number two soba noodles perhaps one of my favorite dishes in Japan the soba noodle which is from the Nagano District in Japan where they have soba cultivation due to its high altitude these noodles are made from buckweed and is a dish served cold there are different sauces but the best one is a sweet Walnut dipping sauce which is seriously Divine number three Ramen perhaps the more famous type of noodle from Japan these noodles are bathing in a delicious broth with bamboo seaweed meats and often topped up with a boiled egg a must if if you're in Japan and want to try some delicious food seriously you cannot go wrong with this one number four Sushi to my surprise the Japanese version of sushi is much more healthy and basic without the cream cheeses and fried sushi rolls that we have in Europe instead in Japan they mostly have sashimi and Nigi to which you add your own amounts of soya sauce and wasabi also don't forget to visit a conveyor belt Sushi it's super fun and the sushi is always top quality number five fluffy pancakes these pancakes are exceptionally thick Airy and jiggly they're then covered with a sweet syrup and other toppings such as fruit whipped cream or nuts and for the doubters out there I'm not a big fan of sweets but this one you simply have to try number six tempura okay guys so tempura is actually one of my favorite things ever so I totally got lost in the moment and didn't film a lot of me actually eating it but definitely it is a must have in Japan think fried shrimp and fried veggies yum number seven tonkatsu oh my God basically my number one favorite food in Japan I wasn't lying when I said I love tempura this is basically fried pork with cabbage and a Heavenly sauce similar to a sweet barbecue sauce I would consider it a crime if you go to Japan and not try this number eight a typical rokan breakfast of course you should try the typical Japanese brei even though it may not be your cup of tea but I actually loved it a standard menu includes miso soup with freshly cooked rice grilled fish with rolled egg Nori vegetables pickled vegetables and more I tried this breakfast for the first time in naruku staying at a traditional rokan and I really enjoyed experiencing authentic Japan here number nine Yakiniku this word refers to grilled Meats in Japan it's super fun cuz you get to cook your own meat and veggies on your own little Grill in the restaurant this is actually the first thing I had on arrival in Japan and by pure coincidence walking into a restaurant that was still open late but safe to say this was another winner and a must try if you visit Japan number 10 takoyaki this is a famous snack in Japan which consists out of a flower-based batter filled with minced or diced octopus tempura scraps and ginger you will literally see this all over Japan and it's a must dry snack last but not least number 11 Shabu shabo this is a Japanese hot poot dish of thinly sliced meats and veggies simmering in a boiling sauce and served with different types of sauces thanks for watching another episode guys please don't forget to subscribe and drop a comment if you can or go check out more episodes about my travels abroad ciao
