i got my paw track back in may because i needed an audio interface to use my rode pawn mic after comparing many options i narrowed down my searches to two options the pawtrak p4 and the zoom h6 i ended up choosing the paw track p4 because of its emphasis on podcasting in addition to having four xlr ports the podrack p4 also has the ability to connect to your phone or your computer making it super easy for you to have a guest call in or for you to use your xlr mic for a meeting here are three ways that i use my pawtrak p4 [Music] the first way that i use my pawtrak p4 is to use it as an audio interface for my xlr mic when i'm recording my youtube videos this is mainly for my a-rolls in an indoor setting i will connect my xlr mic to the paw track and record the audio track on the paw track itself you can also use the paw track as an input into your camera so right now my r6 is using this mic as an input for audio then record the audio track on the paw track p4 separately it's always good that i have a backup on the pod track itself second i use the paw track to record a podcast with my guests with the powtrack p4 you can include up to four guests using the xlr mics or you can have one person calling in through the phone and they will be on track three or you can also host a meeting on zoom and then you can record your guests separately on track four the paw track would record everyone's audio on a different track so it's super helpful when you're editing the audio in post to record a zoom guest through the computer i would have them on track number four and turn this to the usbc dial and just connect the pod track with the usbc to my mac mini and in the zoom app you would choose to use the pod track as an audio input which is to use your mic in the meeting and then also choose it as an audio output and that is how the zoom pod track will record your guess onto the device itself you will have to use the headphone jack on the paw track p4 in order to hear your guess though i usually rather use air pods for my meetings but i haven't figured out a workaround for this but if you do have a workaround please let me know you can also have a guest call in and for that one you will use the track number three you will need to connect the pod track to your phone using a trrs cable then you can use the meeting app or simply call to connect the guest directly the guests will be able to hear you and you'll be able to record them onto track number three [Music] the last way that i use my paw track is simply to use it as an interface so i can use my rode paw mic in my meetings how you will set it up is basically similar to method number two you can skip the recording portion and simply just use it as an interface you will just connect your xlr mic to the podrack p4 and then connect it to your computer using the usbc cable and then in zoom you would just choose the paw track as your audio input and now you can impress your colleagues with some really nice audio honestly i think the paw track is so underrated it makes me so sad if you are considering buying an audio interface hopefully you've added the pawtrak p4 to your list of considerations and that's it for this video hopefully you took something away from it let me know if you have any questions or you have any features that you love about the paw track thanks for watching and i'll see you in the next one bye i love my paw track p4 here are three ways that i love to use my paw track p4
