BEST AFTERNOON TEA IN LONDON Harrods edition - Rabbit themed cakes, Chinese Lunar New Year 2023

let's go and get some afternoon tea at Harrods and see how it compares to the Ritz let's go [Music] I've been thinking of myself [Music] thank you if you touch these they move [Music] written down the words to say it is time I've been waiting five days to explain how you make me feel inside [Music] this card is because it was my birthday very happy birthday thank you for celebrating your special day with us the Harrod's tea rooms it's like a faux leather celebrating Spring Fest of 2023 year of the rabbit there's a live piano there similar to the Ritz spring festive afternoon tea 65 pounds per person and this first Jerusalem artichoke hazelnut truffle size cucumber good afternoon very well thank you first time it is yes you don't need to select any sandwich come all together I just like to know if you like a tea or coffee tea and which kind of tea so classic tea green tea I think I'll go for the afternoon if you don't like one of the sandwiches for example I don't eat egg mayonnaise okay so we can replace could it be a salmon one is that okay yes of course thank you at the end you can't take sandwiches away but if you've got some of your cakes you can take the sandwich and some wish you know but pastry and scrunchie yes that's the amusement and your tea was called what okay and mine is the classic afternoon tea [Music] [Applause] thank you [Music] I've never tried this before it looks kind of like creamy I thought that was gonna be sweet it's nice but okay it's not sweet I'm gonna go in for another bite that looks like that [Music] oh that's not oh that's lovely extra summer oh yeah because I didn't like the eggs so I have two salmon that's the egg one there we start with the Cucumber it comes with cream cheese and brown bread coronation chicken our report salmon with the Cucumber on the top and wasabi tree and also for you our extra for on fresh bread our chocolate cake with Sesame Ginger or probably um with vanilla and the Chantilly and also with some honey on the top and later scones amazing thank you I'm gonna try the Cucumber first I think it's got green cheese in there I always forget what they say foreign so there we go that's the cucumber sandwich the bread feels slightly dry compared to the Ritz but we'll give it a go cucumber sandwich [Music] that's nice yeah [Music] I think they're playing the song from Les Miserables let's try the tea really [Music] lovely let's try the chicken sandwich next [Music] that's how it's looking I'm not sure what all the ingredients are [Music] awesome I like the chicken let's try the salmon it feels like one of those little eclair profiteroles oh it's hard to hold whoa here we go cucumber cream cheese and salmon they're currently playing Frozen and now let's try this very messy salmon sandwich together I'll try and show you there we go it's like wet top middle and bottom [Music] thank you let's try the tart now it's got this like cute little bit of edible gold on it that's the gold [Music] it's like a creamy biscuit come on let's try this little cutie over here [Music] oh it's very squidgy it feels lighter than the last one let's give that a go do I have cake in my hair I hope not a sea cake [Music] I can still see it but I can't get it oh it's gone [Music] come on [Music] creamy oh they're playing my favorite song go fly a kite [Music] let's try the last little chocolate bunny thing together [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] and with some fruit and then we have some cream and some Jam there's a little bunny [Music] let's try one of these I think that there's one of each so that's the plain one oh they're quite prison and organically shaped we'll give that a go sh this is the thickest cream I've ever seen look [Music] thank you but this is the bag they give you to take it away that's the box of all the little cakes inside when they say do you want water it is actually a charge that's 6.95 afternoon tea for two that's 130 pounds so in total 154. we're still in Harrods and we had such a lovely afternoon tea I really enjoyed the piano playing that they had and it was very wide and calm and peaceful and everyone was very polite I had the um very easy to drink tea it was the afternoon tea and they say you can ask for more sandwiches I asked for the coronation chicken the combination of flavors in that was lovely some of the breads come a bit like dry I think starting off in the Ritz was like anything after that it's just gonna go down or be very close I feel like Ritz are like just a bit more than the Harrod's afternoon tea the Harrod's afternoon tea in itself is actually it's a fun experience if you're in Harrod you've got to do it you've got to try it yourself the scones were kind of like lumpy shapes but really nice I've come and sat in the clothing area because it's a bit quieter but it's getting busier now I would give Harry's afternoon tea about an eight out of ten worth the try but definitely rips wins for me Ritz was 10 out of 10.
