BERNINA University 2024: What kind of MAGIC will our friends make?

hey this is scale with Bernina of neille and guess what it's now right now day three of Bernina University and you're probably like oh wait a minute did I miss something on day two and no I missed something it was Swiss day or Bernina day where we all got to wear all of our super cute things and I wanted to really show you my little Swiss flight attendant outfit that I did but whatever time just got away from us I we really spent yesterday really really deep diving on the Bernina 990 and uh yeah there's just and there's just so much material that I needed to organize that I really you know what I wanted to take my time doing it and not shuffling through at you know midnight after like a lovely dinner and some wine you know I wanted to make sure I gave you the the real deal right so I thought I would do a little bit of fun stuff today so basically we went to the vendor mall and got to see you know some new stuff and everything but when I got down there I was a little more interested in what people's thoughts were on the magic that they would make with a new Bernina 990 so let's have a look and see what they said I'm nerv what kind of magic would you make with the new berina 990 have you seen the hoop are you kidding me that hoop like you could put your body through that hoop that was crazy so we've got bodysuits from cim kimberbell okay I'll take it bodysuit for sure you know what else I wanted to do I wanted to make my dinner can is that too much to ask I think it could do a really cute what's for dinner kimberbell event we could do that embroidered chicken like a big turkey leg something like that I think you could all right so I'm here with rosemary and she's in big bees in where is B Elm subur of Milwaukee okay Elm grve suburb of Milwaukee that's in one of the M States Minnesota rights I thought down you one more drink I like yeah maybe okay here's the deal okay what kind of magic do you plan on making with the new 990 I I can't get over the camera and I and it's going to involve building I know okay so I'm here with Carrie agens and she's on the Bernina train and I've been asking her you know like what kind of magic she plans on making with the new 990 I'm a quilter so I'm going to be using that beautiful uh ability to change my start and end point and and embroider my quilts and that great big giant I'm here with my good friend Sarah Coldwell now Sarah is what is your title e uh Jacko trade and master of some but I do run the education there international so that's the rest of the world all right also oh my gosh much higher on this level all right okay so Sarah what kind of magic are you personally planning on making with the new Bina 99 well to be honest with you I've been making magic for a bit of a while but that giant hoop and that scanner I'm just making M as much magic as I can make how many m is that that's a lot of M I'm here with my friend Hillary from Dave's berina and once again I'm G to ask you Hillary what magic do you plan on making with the new berdina 990 I'm thrilled to be working in the new finger H and being able to turn my designs with my fingers and all kinds magic but that embroidery machine it's going to be amazing I can't wait to get my hands online so what I can create all right I'm here with Tim Timothy or Tim Tim Tim and he is with Bina marketing and he's a marketing specialist but I want to know Tim what magic do you plan on making with the new Bernina 990 oh just supporting the dealers with this this is one of the most amazing machines I learned a lot about it this morning do you think you could sew something with it I you know I think I'm going to try I think I'm going to try with this you know what you can come to the store and make like a tie or a a doop kit or something right it's berville it's going to happen all right so I'm here with the famous Emily Ramsey she's from berina Oklahoma City and you've loved loved loved her dissection videos on the 990 but now that we know what it does what magic do you plan on making with it the first thing I would have made is a heavily embroided oh because you know sometimes those things jump right out of the hoop yes they do must happen to me I was making because it was fashionable the time instead of skinny je and I was using an 850 Le and I got on one side that was perfect and then I got about this far up the other side and it came un and it's should be like hour slow turning the hand G yeah flying yes already I would have just burned the project yeah and throwing the machine yeah all right but now we don't have to do that anymore it's fixed scooch God damn you're man you want me to be on the floor no no not yet okay listen so this is Stacy and he is the technical education manager berina what magic do you plan on making with the new Bernina 990 M something with the jumbo Stitch yeah you like your Stitch is big I like my stitches so what would you do with that I like stitches guys he is what's your title Vince I am the Q Series regional manager for the Eastern United States all right excellent but what you don't know about Vin is that he has two particularly fantastic talents one of them is he is a fantastic singer particularly with karaoke yeah right secondly he is an alligator hunter yes I am or Wrangler whatever you want to call I'm Hunter right Peta don't come after me all right but I want to know what magic you plan on making with the new Bernina 990 o i my favorite is going to be the um the jumbo Stitch jumbo Stitch the jumbo Stitch I love it because you can quilt with it now you actually to have quilting patterns up to 500% but what do you think about taking some of your jumbo stitch patterns saving them on a USB stick and then using them on the Q Series you can because they read the same they read the same patterns in back inth you can go back and forth I'm pretty much guessing that with my 990 I want to get a q exactly exactly and get that c catic that's right all right okay I'm here with the famous Andy or Andrea now right and she's in product and development at berina so you can thank her right now for the Bernina 990 but I want you to know I want I want to know for real what Andy plans on what kind of magic you plan on making with the new 990s oh I've already made a lot of magic with the new 9 night I made the quilt I made the dress I wore today but I plan on making a lot more quilts and using all of the computerized quilting files and designs on the machine and all the new features and just using it almost every day what's your favorite uh feature jumbo Stitch and all of the computerized quilting design all right welcome to the Gail show it's going to be a short snippet ready all right so Gail I know I know that you are the serger queen of all things all right and you can make magic with an l890 like none other but what kind of magic would you make with the new berina 990 I am so blown away with the magic they put into that machine just that enormous frop and I haven't even had a chance to really look at it in depth at all but uh I have a feeling that the possibilities are absolutely endless so I can't wait to turn around Andre you want like I'm half in the picture can see my face this is philli you know this cute guy new father Crown Prince of Switzerland all of that okay so Phillip what kind of magic do you plan on making with the new berina 990 what kind that's a good question okay my magic as you said I'm a new father yes so I love to do embroidery for our son and uh I cannot wait to make some of his shirts or a onesie or something to embroider with the new extra llarge hoop yeah there might have been a little bit of wine involved with that right anyway just showing you that you know we all love to see each other you know sometimes I I call them like my be friends you know we might not talk for a very long time time but then every year at be it is always like nothing has ever happened then we have lots of stuff to talk about because of all these new things so speaking of new things there are some new other items so there is a Bernina 735 Patchwork Edition that is red I love it and if you don't know too much about the berina 735 well this is one of those high-end machines with a little bit lower price point 5 mm Stitch width capabilities which which means the feed dogs are a little bit closer together for precision piecing and uh we're going to do some really fun events and everything with it got to sew on that got to go down and see another thing that I think you're going to be really impressed with which is the Bernett 08 industrial like prummer machine so this machine is all metal it's got a side loading bobbin with a metal bobin it's got 1,600 stitches per minute capabilities and it can sew through anything this is an amazing machine there's a lot of space to the right of the needle it's got a foot control that also has like a little foot control next to it that will cut the thread that's right it's got a thread cutter and it has needle up down I think you're going to love this we can't wait to get it in and use it on all of our bag making stuff oh and by the way speaking of bags we stop by Brewer and we have picked up some custom bad kits for us and we're going to do online and inperson classes we're going to feature our Bernette and uh we're going to use that Bernina 735 to make some doll clothes and some little dolls that Brewer also had so hopefully not only are we getting to see new machines and all of those things but hopefully some new product that has also inspired some new classes at the store and online right yeah I promise and and in-depth on the Bernina 990 cuz that's what a lot of you are waiting for so trust me I will
