I grew up on the south side of Chicago where I watched channel 11 WTTW in the 80s

They had Dr. Who, Monty Python, Benny Hill, Dave Allen At Large, hell they even had the Kenny Everett video show! (these shows sometimes had partial nudity, it wasn't uncommon to see boobs a few times a week, VERY cool for a 12yo boy haha)
You know Tracy Ullman wanted to be on the Benny Hill show as a comedian and Benny didn't want to take any of the spotlight away from him, so he told her you can be one of my dancing girls? She declined and went on to be VERY popular in her own right, and for good reason.
I also heard benny was a little eccentric, when people would ask if they could "bring him anything" oftentimes he would say milk, he LOVED milk?? LOL
He wrote and performed SO many songs on his show. Did you know he had a radio song?
