cool i mean how posh is this you've got to see a school production and tom hiddleston's in it with eddie redmayne right well um yes uh he was a great talent even then he was at the start he was a huge star and we were in um a school production of a passage to india by ian foster [Laughter] here you go yeah good job it's a very warm seat hello [Laughter] is [Music] the great eddie redmayne the now uh oscar winning redmayne was playing the female lead and uh in in the passage of india there's a there's a expedition to this cultural landmark called the marabar caves by elephant um i'm delighted to reveal that i played the front right leg of the elephant that eddie was running because you and ben are both pick up examinations is it nice having someone like him who you know at all of these events you know communities seeing him he's like i know it sounds silly but when when with your friends who are in this industry we have such weird nomadic lives that it's rare that you're in the same place at the same time and because actually when we were shooting theory ben was shooting the imitation game so getting to see him recently he's just been lovely um he's having such a great he's seen it i have it's extraordinary yeah and he's brilliant in it yeah how many benedict cumberbatch autographs have you signed any no you've never signed a benefit i've never never signed a benedict photo no because people for i mean it's bizarre to confuse you because you couldn't be more different but you are one together yeah i don't know why that is maybe it's because of war horse or something but uh i've signed a michael fassbender toto why not yeah why not he's very handsome um so had the comparisons between you and benedict ever rubbed you the wrong way i mean no no no no no no he he's he's a very dear friend i saw him last weekend you know i he's amazing he's an amazing actor i've seen both of you dance first hand in front of me i apologize unreservedly it was a little bit warm so i came prepared as an englishman used to all types of weather in one hour i'm i'm benedict cumberbatch yes and uh i had a scarf i had a hat i had a jersey to just just to cover my skin because i would roast i mean i'm like no tissue paper yeah but i had to start handing out to bethany and you know the other celts what's his name hiddlebun best celebrity that you've ever karaoked with eddie redmayne oh my god have you seen les miserables no i mean i'm not surprised of course he's a great singer but yeah i saw him seeing a whole new world uh once and it changed everyone had to stop after that we're like well we can't go on have you ever cried i went to cambridge right yeah okay you went to cambridge we had hillston on here yeah he went to cambridge too okay at the same time yeah you worked at the same time yeah were you in the same college the college of st handsomes what were you in what were you in the same college there no but we were at the same school together as well we basically yeah we got like a long way well we're here so we've got now we have pictures ben we have pictures we have pictures i can see the pictures will you blow on it [Music] [Laughter] oh no competition he's better he's got to rule the day without that this is his year but um i'm very happy to be in an audience supporting him you know i really i'm a wizard [Applause] [Laughter] marvel like wizarding crossover the potential first doctor will you give us a spell ben as a cajon yeah actually better than mine drumroll will we get you on screen live action do you think anybody what you and tom we haven't worked together since we're at school together we have a school play um and um so yeah i absolutely love that what do you think we could do how much sway do you have for the next fantastic beast not that much i don't think unfortunately he'd be he'd be kind of he'd be a great wizard wouldn't he yeah he's had the authority exactly that voice you
