Alan Rickman was a great actor. Too many people here are talking about Jimmy Fallon and ignoring Rickman. Alan Rickman was often great in otherwise bad movies. He was always good.

I want to elaborate (my own opinion) on why I feel the same way that /u/IAmClaytonBigsby does about Jimmy Fallon.

Not only is he the worst thing about Jimmy Fallon videos, I would say that he is probably the worst thing about any video in which he appears.

But, him in Jimmy Fallon videos is significantly worse.

He is a no-talent, self-absorbed and insincere mass of cells that tries (and fails) to simulate a personality.

Let's look at his Benedict Cumberbatch interaction (I will admit that I only made it through half of the video):

Premise: He has a guest on his show that he knows does an Alan Rickman impression.

With a reasonable host I would think that it would involve the guest doing an impression, maybe comparing it with the person who is being impersonated (on video).

Jimmy Fallon has to:

1. Shoehorn himself into the activity because he likes to do impressions and is one thing that he is (marginally) good at. I think he is also decent at playing music, but I'm not an expert so I don't know if he is actually good.
2. He has to go first because his impression is shit and if Benedict went first then his would be even more obviously shit.
