Through the ASB in 2021 ben was shooting 67% on 5.5 FTA/g. Really felt like he had made real improvement as his form had progressed from very shit to still shit but less shit… like he had steadily been improving a little bit every year on FTs, and he was attacking like crazy. Really felt like the leap.

The he shot 53% the rest of the reg season, stopped attacking the basket, then he went 34% in the playoffs 😭 I just don’t get it man. It’s funny bc he actually used to weirdly be good late in games at the line, his rookie postseason he shot 71%, in game 7 on the road vs toronto he went 5-6 from the line! Small samples I get it but it proves he could avoid being awful.

Something happened in April 2021, maybe it was the family drama he had or something but he completely broke down… he missed like 8 games for weirdly reported reasons and he never looked the same. it’s really insane.
