Behind The Scenes of Lil Durk's "Kanye Krazy" Video with Lyrical Lemonade

[Music] so thank you guys copy that show cool what's up chris it's good to see you thank you boy thanks for coming man today we're shooting this song so let me rewind i'd say about a week ago less than a week ago like five days ago derek sent me the uh deluxe link to the album and he said uh check out the album and he particularly said there's one song called kanye crazy that you think that i would like and right when i heard it i was like bam it came to me i was like we need to recreate classic kanye moments and uh music videos so i wrote it right away i probably sent it back to him in about an hour and a half two hours and he loved it and here we are today we have a list of setups we're going through yeah it's gonna be really cool trying to perfect it and uh recreate these moments but also pay homage to kanye and and uh do it justice so i'm excited to see what happens shooting with the classic man ari alexa right here i don't know yes sir got a little k-35 going there a little cook s4 is going later on we get a little spicy other than that we're trying to frame the shots as close as possible to these kanye moments so we got a zoom lens to work around and find the frame and uh just get the perfect composition to make sure we match the best as possible we get ready for our first setup team i just want to say again there is no social media uh unless you were hired as a bts or a friend of of the gang no social media no photos man i like that like with your your left shoulder kind of facing the camera more so it feels like we're huddled up in a way in the middle between the two right there i don't know if that's where you were before but it feels better all right here we go but it's definitely some bounce to it you know what i'm saying act like you're playing on the keys two one playback [Music] [Music] let's go crazy today oh yeah i'm excited can't get crazy and then we'll get the close-up of just him performing where we actually don't see the keys and then we'll get that wide shot exactly where we start the piano and then we see them all dancing feel good man it's a lot of fun [Music] my name is britannia jones beat underscore joan 6 on instagram i'm a professional dancer and choreographer i am choreographing for little dirk's music video so i pretty much just recreated my version of runway and we're doing that today because it's like the tiniest bit tilled up would be perfect but i'm also not mad see that man how the light is hitting the concrete it's perfect because that's yeah it's framed well enough and i think we're gonna buy it yeah i think i think we run it the first like you know first the same frame [Music] oh i was telling you about the uh the kanye dirk [ __ ] i was doing like this is the one we're doing we're doing the runaway scenes right now oh yo what duck is he in there yeah he's popping what's up what's up good looking what's up y'all what up when you walk up and you approach here shout out to the whole chicago you know came from the shadows to the front it's certain things that coffee [ __ ] like this is like well green light we should do a running gun you know what i'm saying like something like that yeah yeah exactly we learned it but three headed goat was perfect because it was like it was creative and took it there and it was like something people hadn't seen from like any of you guys and then all together with the video like that it worked you know what i mean but it's like you guys just know which ones to do it for that's why when you send the deluxe it was like you said listen to kind of crazy i knew already this is the one [Music] oh all right [Music] perfect [Music] here we go let us know the whole thing it's a lot of like looking down into yourself and then that camera it's like just like a standard performance so just have fun with it like 10 seconds my bad ten things thank you you ready [Music] how do you feel about cold stealing your thunder and hitting the record button it's all right it's one of those things just move on you know don't take it personal it's like you're directing the video you have to hit the button too yeah it's just it's just a natural reaction all
