hey guys today we're gonna make a beer braised pork so I generously sprinkle salt and pepper over your meat add a tablespoon of canola oil to a Dutch oven and Brown each side for three minutes each remove the meat from the pot and pour out the oil leaving only a tablespoon of oil left now you're gonna add your mirepoix which includes onions celery and carrots saute for about three minutes until your onions are translucent and then at the garlic mister for another two minutes stir the tomato paste and keep mixing for another two minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated the tomato paste will add depth and body to the braising liquid stir in the flour which will act as a thickening agent for the braising liquid once your vegetables are thoroughly coated add a bottle of dark ale to deglaze the pot scrape the brown bits off the bottom of your pot this will add flavour to your stock bring it up to a boil and the liquid will thicken after 15 minutes now add chicken broth add your soy sauce add your vinegar brown sugar some strange diced tomatoes next add a bay leaf and thyme season generously with salt and pepper add your potatoes and submerge the meat in the braising liquid when the liquid comes up to boil cover the pot and braise in the oven for three hours then buries uncovered for an hour to thicken the liquid when you finish you'll have a rich flavorful stew and a tender pork shoulder that easily falls apart this is a really hearty meal so serve it with mashed potatoes or over pasta such as egg noodles and like most phrases this will taste better the next day if you liked the video give it a thumbs up thanks for watching
