BEEN IN STORAGE SINCE 1987...

okay in this video we score some really incredible antique furniture that has been sitting in storage since 1987. oh it's a little heavier than it seemed huh okay [Music] [Music] [Music] look at this i never saw it she did and the other lady no way it's her ancestors you gotta hang that up in there dude i won't lie in this world man you need school what you saw is what you reap the price of even making it you know it's not cheap never mind the lights you can sacrifice sleep put your best out there see results in a week i don't think they know all right good morning everyone what is up so today we are at extra space storage kind of near our house about 15 minutes away from where we live and a friend of a friend asked us to come out here today and look at the contents of our storage unit which consists of antique furniture we don't deal with furniture usually ever but we figured we would come out in at least at the very least give her suggestions on how maybe to sell it on the very best side it's actually very nice furniture and we can sell it and make money for us and her or it's just straight up trash and we can tell her like listen this is not good you should just put this up for free but we don't know what it looks like she said it's been in here for a long time and there could be other stuff in the other storage unit that she has but i'm gonna call her up now i'm gonna just tell her that we're here but yeah so these situations are kind of like a mystery damn this guy's gonna get pissed right now i can't move he's in my mind it's always funny to do situations like this because you never we don't even know what the lady looked like so we'll see how this goes oh should i get my phone yeah i can take some pictures yeah yeah this storage place is nice it is nice we've never been to this one we've been to space storage maybe you're pretty much the same yeah it looks pretty much the same this one just looks really clean pretty much yeah it is okay i can't reach that guy can you get there for me sorry okay so this is a pretty big unit like nice in here well i think this is one of the bigger units because i did have a lot more furniture in here too um but anyway there's four arm chairs like that for around the table and then there's one i mean there's four chairs without arms and then there's one with arms okay okay um what's the like do you know the history or anything um i bought those were mine and i had them in new york from like the mid 80s but they were older than that i don't know anything about it okay but again it's been storage for over 30 like about 33 years between new york and here this is like very well organized yeah you kept it really nice he did that greg you're a pro actually i'm pretty good at tetris it looks like yeah don't want to play you in that game and then this is the arm version of it back there this i'm keeping this corner one okay that is also hand carved it's a or if you can see a sofa right it is we use it as itself it's actually a huge bench the top does come off but one of my designers screwed it together but you can take it apart so you can move it it's easier to move oh yeah do you want to take some stuff out so you can get in there yeah yeah well so well i guess what so what's your plan to deal with i want it out and honestly you know if you sell it and you think you made a good amount of money you want to throw me a bone give me a gift certificate someplace because so i guess these chairs there's four of these we could probably just take these today right now and one of the arm whatever we can fit in the truck because i didn't bring the trailer i just didn't know what we were dealing with yeah um yeah and there are other chairs in here too that are old there's a tour once we get everything out there's like two or three that i have to keep okay and i am planning on i'm thinking that i'm keeping that corner hutch unit there okay okay oh there's another one of the chairs up there so you got one two good points three and there's a fourth one around somewhere so we could take those today okay the chairs do you want to just you don't want this paper no the penguin was just here when i moved and then we can get into uh that kept it nicer yeah more valuable than the chairs in my eyes but well it's this yeah the chairs are hand carved and our you know one of them and i think it might be that one this thing's cool it needs to be glued i can see that here needs to be glued and of course the fabric has been in storage forever the fabric i did the fabric that's not original the fabric's cool yeah it's silk it's nice but again storage it's got mermaid vibes three and the fourth one's back there are they super heavy is that why you had to come right out the door okay that's a good idea oh yeah yeah you might you can get it if you want to get in there go ahead you've been acting like a beast lately oh they're not that good no but if you're trying to get up there and lift it down and in new york um i had moved into another loft another with a friend so they went into storage there for a bad spot totally everything's in the store for 35 years okay so these two no are part of it those are yours that one that one and that one and that one you can tell my life anymore i got you we actually sometimes it's kind of rough but like buy storage units i get yeah a lot of times it's really bad stuff but something no this stuff is good stuff that's why when i said it was this is much more organized than 90 percent of the other units well because it i think probably because it has restored so long are you keeping this well that i brought back from japan this is super cool i know my friend greg thinks i'm absolutely nuts no you got good taste but i you know i had it on a table i hadn't actually heard it so i had a lot more and it was perfect there yeah that's pretty cool yeah and you could put like a flower in there yeah if you wanted to do that all right so we're getting some antique chairs some antique furniture so this is pretty good this was worth coming out for sure i just [Music] thinking of the best way to sell this stuff to be honest would like to know more about it but she doesn't really know she just knows that it was hand carved it's nice that it's wrapped though [Music] i tell your wife that um it does come with the top this part this comes off the base okay okay and it's hand carved and there's also um the bottom lifts up for storage or whatever but you can see over there the carving yeah what's it technically not a not a sofa it's a it wasn't i think look when i think that it looks to me like you know um in churches the pews that are up on the walter that's what it looks like to me because it's a single piece it wouldn't be a pew where people would say if you were like the priest or you know would sit but it's all colored here it's amazing yeah so much work went into this i know it needs work because it's been neglected look at that all right cool okay lacquer screen this one yeah all right for like feeling when you pick it up it's going to disintegrate because it's slack or in the lab it just doesn't do well but it's an eight panel screen which is pretty unusual what do you mean by a screen like somewhere where you would like change behind yeah you don't have to think about the old times they would have screens which look like this to separate like kind of like part of a room behind it yeah it's that but it's much bigger and it's from china it's old though it's all and one side has one pat one design pattern i think it's like cranes or something like that and the other side has a totally different picture but lacquer doesn't do well in this so the pieces are falling off okay we'll check like a gym all right so the other day it's been in here for a few days this lady that is a friend of a friend gave us these are antique chairs i am estimating around probably 1920 so they might not be legitimate antiques but they're old and yeah she had two storage units she wanted to make room and can pile everything into one storage unit because she didn't want to pay for both anymore so she gave us these chairs and she's going to give us a whole bunch of other furniture she just wanted them gone so that was a cool situation and i'm going to take them out and put them at least on the porch and half in the garage and try and get some pictures of these and get them posted up somewhere so we can try and move them should have done this a few days ago but didn't until now so this is what they're looking like there's four that don't have arms these do and they're kind of like hand carved wood i'm not sure where from or anything like that she didn't have a very good history of them but they've been in storage for 30 years and they're really nice i think at the very least a couple hundred for these if not maybe more all right so this is what they look like mermaid right pull this off right here i need the trash can huh are you gonna take all the wrapping off them now there's this one and one more all right but this one is different because it has arms thirty years they have enough storage just to give them away i mean they are really nice pretty cool [Music] all right i don't know if you guys know but just like i am just like my dad is a picker just like me so sometimes he brings me stuff that he found or got somewhere i don't really know where he gets all this stuff but gives us stuff to sell so we'll see what he's got today the big dog big squatch what are we working with today i don't really know interesting box no no i don't know we're working with this i don't know what it is i know it's a light but i don't know what kind of one it just seemed clean it's a movie like is it it says it oh what it says acme light movie light so i guess you can it's for like set uh setting up like a movie set so however this works yeah look it has an exposure thing on the back and then acne movie light then it makes for two uh do you know what's so crazy about this you can put two more light bulbs yeah you can put your camera on here oh is that what that's for yeah oh maybe the top turns with the light it does so here's what we got today a movie like sasquatch productions goes on here you can even move it back a little bit there yep if you want to if you careful don't drop it if you want and then we're gonna see if it actually works when you plug it in and there's a room for two more all right so first first look let's say oh my gosh they work so like that is amazing like this like all right it's blinding right sun brutal no this feels on your face oh so like i could just tan something's wrong somebody was using them to believe that they're mookie bites all right dude you could be running around like well the problem is it has an outlet right so you need an extension cord but how cool is that really cool super cool it's really dangerous they are sun lamps so so regardless of them actually being usable somebody might want them to collapse bob was at home like self-tanning you know what this is with that thing an absolute fire hazard yeah it feels so scary you can't even use them you got to change people no you can't it's just for decoration but it's cool that it was a movie light right yeah i mean you could one time use it like outside of your home you could use them but would you want to because i have this led that just is just as bright those batteries look how hot they are so this can just throw that's cool though right all right what's under door number two movie light to a fishing that whistle right there you want to blow in that no no no no it probably definitely is right no it's just those weird worms that meld on everything probably something that is good these are these are fully still packaged snapper uh fishing stuff do you realize that some of the containers that bob has like this he has freaking mercury all right so i'm about to sell the pocket bike hopefully so we'll see you guys looking at it right now but we got to um 100 bucks yeah well i just took all the plastics off just to look at it more but all right i have the exact same one okay so for some reason it won't go it starts but it just won't go like when you rub it up and everything it won't grow so i'm thinking maybe worst case scenario like being parked over there or something yeah that's a good idea you have the same one yeah that's crazy you know the exact same one i got it for my son and he said i wanted he loved it but it wouldn't go yeah i wanted to get it going because it would be so funny that this hat but i have like three other dirt bikes and that i just i just can't deal with it but all right cool yeah i really appreciate it all right good morning everyone what's up it's a beautiful morning out here today we picked up a whole bunch of antique chairs from a storage unit the other day and the lady has a whole bunch more so today we're going to go get all of it and i'm going to just put the videos together because of the same thing and so my friend moved into a house and was using our trailer for the last like week and we're gonna go pick it up and even if he doesn't own a truck so he had another friend dump it the first time if it's filled with trash we're just gonna dump it for him and get the trailer and then go over to the storage facility and pick up the rest of the antique furniture so that's what we're doing today started off the morning with a good sale um in the last two days i've posted like 40 different items on facebook marketplace and now messages overnight have just been rushing in so it looks like we're projected to sell like three more decent items today probably but i just started getting really fed up with all the stuff hoarded around and just started posting everything which i should do again and again and again because you never know what can sell if you put it out there it's more likely to get hits than just sitting on it like i got a message right now for something else so we'll see but yeah antique furniture day too all right we just pulled up to the place same spot same storage unit last time we were here we did not have the trailer because we were unsure of what the merchandise was this time we do have the trailer and we're about to get everything that's everything that's going is going today so about to score this 1920s medieval sofa bed hand carved you think we'll be able to scoop this hopefully it comes apart cause it's super heavy there's no way me and him by ourselves like drill guns or anything though hopefully she did if it i don't know what i have a screwdriver well that'll work though if we have to if it has screws in it i mean i might have them in here but i didn't prepare every time i put them in here i take them out again we'll see how it goes hopefully it just comes apart all right they just pulled in too so we're just gonna follow him in and then make it happen let's make it happen all right we're in here we are back again in here so we're gonna get this stuff so we're gonna we're gonna try to get it all today right the broken leg is going right yes definitely and the leg i mean like maybe inside it it's on top i think okay yeah and those are the shelves that go in it that's actually like fantasy but in the move i have to look at it this might be the one one of the ones that stain i could put it right this one too because i can bring it down for you if you want [Applause] [Music] do you need one of these this one feels like it's stuck but so can you wiggle it out angle i don't know because this is all coming up i don't think it's screwed in though the design of the work of my apartment said that he made his own was attached and i actually could see a dowel that's sticking out here with this truck yeah i don't know to see how it comes up like a little bit definitely isn't screwed in is there anything on the back corner there is do we have a screw gun or anything yep i got something better he does the boys because i'm sure it wasn't just that one that's it i never got a screwdriver this is really cool super nice just needs a little oil what i'm thinking about just we should just keep this i am too because i was just saying we need a new couch we actually well you got this it's so cushion that went on i mean this is about as like with both as much style as you could get nice little it's all hand carved nice little shot it's actually a masterpiece in my opinion it's amazing i mean this is the size of ourselves um this is a masterpiece did you get anything don't be scratching the new couch now really when i got this it was this ugly red somebody had like like red like red like not painted red like they had like done a like either cut it down it was red and i sent it out and got it put back to its normal and it looks so nice yeah this will clean up so well yeah just use pledge right yep this may need a little scratch cover here but they don't you don't you don't even see that no you don't see it at all but it's gonna be sam oh it is heavy i'll leave that to you guys all you need to do is just wipe it down it's not really here there you come you guys have this i think we got it this because this is big boy stuff it should be pretty good like that yeah i think they're good [Music] [Music] so far one two piece wow and then this so this is an incredible amount of antiques very hard to film while we're loading it so i'm just doing little intervals of what's going on two antique chairs table three couches this one's solid wood and hand carved as you guys can see and still a couple more things all right so this is like a painted portrait of one of these these ants her ancestors we're gonna pop that out in a few minutes and show you guys but i'm just putting it in now i haven't seen it yet they all looked at it but me so just gonna try and load everything we can so that we can just get out of here and go sort it kind of see what we're working with some of it's going to go to goodwill or be donated but most of it's going to go to be sold all right so we made it back with all this stuff and we have like five boxes of pillows that are like this and we're gonna try to sell them but they're not great although they are custom made down pillows so at one point they were probably very expensive now not so much but somebody might need them for like an outside couch or something and here's a newspaper that was in there july 19 1987. that shows the time period around when this stuff was put in storage so it's that long ago she said it was like 30 years so yeah over 30 years all right so there's like these asian what are they even called i really know exactly what they're calling they're like shades we're just determining if they're even usable because she did say they're falling apart so i kind of have to open them up check it out i don't know they're pretty cool i mean they're definitely falling apart but oh wow i would say they're worth trying to sell let me see the back it's a eight panel wow super sick oh man yeah super sick definitely worth selling definitely not throwing these out i mean as is they're really cool so maybe i should just bring take them apart bring them in there just line them up at least get a picture of them or something or should i just line them up here [Music] [Music] very cool little cabinet flower design on the front cool legs broken leg though so i don't know where the other leg is does it have another leg i don't know she said she couldn't find it it's kind of worthless like that but we're gonna try and sell it anyway if somebody wants to redo it right maybe oh it does open nice look right there right yeah it looks like it is that yes oh no that other one just fell off uh did cook i'm trying to sell it all right i'm gonna flip this out of the way because this one's done that one's big ziti massive stains massive stains i showed them let's say one of the storage places had a water leak or something like that well that makes sense because that's what i was thinking it was i need some scissors huh yeah do you have scissors nope all right he's running to get some scissors fingers crossed that this couch or shez is what it's called um is not stained because this is something really cool like if somebody has a house that's big enough because we sure as hell don't um this is something that's really really nice and it's big enough that like you can legit sleep on it also if it's in good condition you can make a pretty penny out of it make a little bit here just a little bit let's just see what it looks like right it's looking like it's okay and this is the cushion that goes on it on top of it so this doesn't look bad so this is in good condition here's the other couch so this is the one we like this is what we came for really this piece which is amazing and this is the secondary like what do you keep calling it it's the sheds right look at this dude it's so comfortable though legit oh man i might sleep just take a little nifty night honestly right now but this is cool gonna sell this that for sure big paul you won't believe this score you've mocked us yeah you've mocked our spines before not that not this time i said not this time [Laughter] [Music] it's out we weren't going to be like oh we can only have this but that other couch is good for selling it's a masterpiece it's a white so it's custom made uh right you can hop open not that one that thing's terrible oh my gosh it's really cool but you might have to get a new cushion for it that's the problem which would be a lot of money but this thing the bottom opens up oh and you get stores and you can store something there so first of all you need to wipe it all down to get kill up get all the mold should i not sit on this and then backing this up it's not that bad there's just mold over there all right we just got back and look who's just cruising out chilling look at that bogey hey he's so happy in his life he's gonna just get out of here though too many people this is dad i saved my reaction to it for me and dad no i mean he can have it if he wants but i'm saying like this is our friend this is the dad piece wait what this is like the ultimate sasquatch piece yeah this is from painting yeah might need a little bit of restoration but that thing's cool dude she had like 10 of them for real but zero's keeping the other ones she can't have them i want them yeah we need the rest of them you got to put them up you have to hang that when you first come in you gotta put it up i can't you gotta but i live by myself dude that guy will be trying to get me at night it's true he's got a point what's he gonna do follow you from her house to your house no it's gonna be he's got a good point he followed the painting of himself your spirit it's really cool a few inches out from the likes it and it would be just at least if buggy and him like it we're keeping it but the only thing is you can't let them call it if you're going to sell it i told her that do you think they will she said she doesn't think so because they don't look at that and it has like a knights kind of thing you should see my freaking this is nice this is the blanket you gave us so i'm gonna put it look who approves approves of the new spot mj does loves it you could fully edit right here because look do you like this new baby yeah no way because on that couch you can't really like lay like this here like sit back how you doing i'm too dirty ah on a scale one to ten do you think these are some incredible antiques yeah yeah it's nice it's nice all right guys hope you enjoyed the video that was two different days or two different trips of picking stuff up from the storage unit it's been sitting over there like i said for 30 years i think since like 1987. it was stored up in new york and then it was stored over here in egg harbor township and we're the first ones to really see it in 30 years so to be honest it's been in storage longer than we've been alive isn't that crazy to think about that's so crazy but got some good stuff and some decent stuff to sell and those like dragon shade things maybe our friend director rob said he might be able to see how how like what kind of pricing they would be i know they're falling apart a little bit but maybe people remake them or refurbish or fix them if they're worth a lot so we'll see if not it was a good haul so see you guys in the next
