today's video we have a tense departure from the hotel we've been staying at and repeatedly failed to find a safe Park out further north so forced to make an unexpected decision to head for the Border but then we remembered we still had this welcome back to our Morocco series guys we are just leaving the hotel that we stayed at last night and it was a tight entrance on the way in but I won't recording it then so let me show you how tight it was as I record it as we leave it is very very tight here Bang Bang that's why we've got mirror protectors and there you go I need to go down here and we're out just about that's the first time we bottomed out but we're out and we're in one piece right let's go to IKEA so Tech town or however you pronounce that has been a real big surprise for us it's been great and we nearly skipped it but all the greenery here and there's so many people sweeping up and making the place beautiful it's a completely different Morocco than we've experienced not there's anything wrong with the rest of the Morocco we've experienced but it is so green and Rich and colorful and like Lynn says it's probably because it's the the kings in Residence here it's a very different Morocco and we've loved it though so I highly recommend you come and try this place guys we'll put a link in the description [Music] [Music] that was a fail we insisted we have the meatballs and these are definitely not the meatballs they're definitely the vegetables it's the kids portion and it's a kid's portion but hey it'll do we're hungry Willie right we have no plans now we are heading to the coast and they're going to drive up north up there and see if we can find some effort tonight and hopefully it's cool enough with only the aircon on but we've got the batteries on here as backup should we need it okay we're trying to find a stop over the beach but the beach is packed like the one we see earlier in Holiday all the beaches there were packed and I've just had to reverse around about half a mile down the road traffic and of course I didn't record it for you but believe me it was hair raising how did I do that so there we are I don't know we're gonna just keep driving north along the coast um but it's heated it's packed everyone's at the beach so we may be fail in here it's just not going to work not gonna work again everyone exam exam and fair play but we're not going to get parked up we're gonna have to keep driving we might even have to drive into seyuta this evening which we wasn't planning to until tomorrow don't wanna think about going through them Customs right now let's do it early tomorrow in case it takes a bit of time going through customs everyone's triple parked not a chance of getting parked let's keep going further up the beach and keep going further up the coast soon be in Spain so we've not been able to find anywhere along the coast to park up and we were just getting close and closer to see Utah and Steve out the corner of his eye saw an FRS shop so at the moment is in there and we might have a massive plot twist so just saying um we've got an open ticket so we could go over early um in the morning maybe at nine o'clock in the morning there are four places um for something as big as us but at the 12 30 Crossing there's 40. so we're definitely get on that one so maybe I think this head into sayyota tonight um get through customs tonight and be ready in the morning to jump on the kind of the 12 30 Crossings there's an open ticket it's no extra charge won't be a problem there's nowhere to stay here we are stuck we come on it's all full up again here so fingers crossed we don't have the grief we had through customs last time plot twist the things we don't get on camera is crazy I went uh towards the border and I couldn't turn around well I could turn around I managed to get a three-point turn done but it wasn't funny I had to go off the road I thought we were getting stuck we don't get none of this on camera but what we need to do is top up the fuel before we leave Morocco because of course it's a pound of liver and we need to get rid of our durhams here as well so we're at the Shell and get him on there my guy's cleaning the windscreen for us and he's topping us up with um gas oil with diesel before we leave right we're heading for the border now we've got nothing on board but we do have a big bag of green tea that doesn't look please in so hopefully they'll not pull us up on that and we've got rid of all our money we just pulled over and bought some Hawaii drink which is our favorite drink here just spent all the money because you're not allowed to take money back through the Border either but look I'm not going to record much here I don't want to upset them but wish us luck okay whilst we're in the queue um to get out through customs and it looks like it's going to take us around half an hour doesn't it maybe an hour quite a cue um we would like to thank Sterling Insurance who has covered us for the last month fully comprehensive whilst we've been driving around Morocco yeah they've been absolute Legends to to cover that is just given us peace of mind hasn't it absolutely um if anything happened to our baby we know it's covered fully comprehensive and we know that you know it was a big struggle to find fully comprehensive and I know you guys were in the comments and asking us and what have you so there's be a link in the description of this video um go ahead and click it and get a quote on them and some of you actually said no that they they didn't they turned you down on the insurance persevere because then when you persevered you got it there's some confusion I think there yep um we just we found the right person I think and they went away and sorted it for us yeah so um definitely if you're coming over to Morocco and you want peace of mind that you're going to get fully comprehensive insurance Sterling are you people everyone's beeping their own it's not going to make everyone go any faster I don't know why and George is driving though gone eight o'clock now we've been in this queue since around six o'clock and I thought I would take half an hour to get through and we're still probably another hour away from getting through um it's getting dark we've made friends with the guys next to us though and we swap water and grapes and had a good old chair um lovely guy he's got Porsche Cayenne so I'd mind his car um Moroccan living in the Netherlands and he has a business in the Netherlands and also in Dubai so which is and London and he's got a Jeep working in Dubai of course he has of course yes so there you go but uh yeah I thought I'd just check in there's no film in here so I need to be careful guys um but we're still probably at least an hour away from crossing here and then we're going to find somewhere to stay tuned it's bed limit Bedlam I tell you one beeps they all beep [Music] hahaha I think how it is someone moves and then the car doesn't move immediately they just get on their own so once one's beeping they're all beeping but the really funny thing is there are actually no horn signs ever chat with a police officer who was lovely we spoke really good English and was just really interested in the chat to um yes he's going to do his service here and then he's going to get his visa to travel and he to travel and he's admiring the motorhome of course no they're so friendly everyone is so friendly you know we're expecting the worst of Customs but so so friendly you got a bit of paper they said we couldn't get the van out unless we kept this safe so Lindsay's kept it with the passports it's a temporary import okay nearly there now one more car in front of us and we'll be through the queue we'll get searched no that's just the first set of um checks that we get to I reckon we're at release okay um we're through the Moroccan side and that was just as bad as last time without the interrogation part of it the checks were just incredible and so unnecessary I think they made us empty the whole garage went through this place with the fine tooth comb and everything opened bed down through every single cupboard and then brought the dog through again it was just run through and run out the front door there we are I think we're through the worst of it now just the Spanish side left uh further Moroccan Jacks then on the passports again I think he was just checking that he had the right stamps in there now the Spanish side well and that's through the Spanish side with our passports getting stamped again perfect right I think there's just one more checkpoint right here and I can see the Espana sign the nearly back in space well that was dramatic some lady collapsed right in front of us and then I get the Medics to take her away but we're in we're through the Customs that took how long three hours oh 9 53 so at least three and a half hours probably closer to four hours there you go but we're in we're back in Spain guys now we're gonna find a Parker okay we found a great little Park up on the beach and if this works out we could well stay here tomorrow but it's still warm Lindsay's got the toaster on just a bit of toaster type people over I've got the aircon running and we're not on hook up but we are pulling one and a half kilowatts down to 95 on the batteries just a quick glass one that toasters on just and I think it's windows open night tonight but this um this starlink for sticking out the window at the roof like behind me has worked almost seamlessly throughout Morocco guys I'd say 90 95 of the time which is what you get with starlings anyway so even though it doesn't say it works in Morocco I can assure you it works as far down as the mazuga desert I don't know if we discussed our emergency rations tip but we found a trailer so I keep a couple of loaves in the freezer and when the kids are desperate for food we bang out some toast and today marmite I'm gonna need to go on a Marmite hunt because we are getting a little bit low good morning from sayuta we've woken up on the beach this morning which is perfect we've had a bit of a line because we got here late last night we're gonna lie that Crossing um from Morocco was horrendous Linds is having a little catch up with a book on the beach and George is doing a bit of drawing there the boys are having a lazy Lane but we're thinking of moving on today we're thinking of getting an early Ferry Crossing um and heading to Mainland Spain and possibly going um to Gibraltar we've been in Gibraltar before but not for many many years so we're thinking of popping in there we are craving some British food to be honest with you Linds and I would love a full English the boys have been asking for a burger with the tagines have been great in Morocco but we are craving a bit of British food we did bottom out the tow bar just here on the way in last night so I've enabled Ferry mode to help us get out of here and we're about 20 minutes from the ferry so we're gonna head there now and see if we can get on that earlier Ferry 12 30 is the next one it was easy enough they've put us on an early Ferry and there's no extra cost and we sail through customs certainly compared to the Moroccan Customs so we're just waiting in the queue now and hopefully we'll be on the 12 30 Ferry it's nothing like lastminute.com today's video is still only 49 uploaded um it's gone midday and it's due to go live this evening so I hope I don't get that uploaded for you before we get on the ferry here it's not going that fast okay he's got to spun around again and waiting for everyone else to board so I think we're gonna back on the same as we did last time put it in fairy mode as well obviously to drop the front lift lift the rear not the bottom out right let's do this [Music] [Music] and we're on and we'll be one of the first off as well so George was hungry so we got him a pizza fortunately the crossing back to Spain only takes an hour so we were soon on dry land and we followed the traffic across the port which incidentally is the largest pool in Spain and the second largest in the Mediterranean then through the checkpoint and on our way to Gibraltar which is around 45 minutes from Al jazeer's and we'd previously stayed at the air if the porch just outside so we headed there although When we arrive we notice they'd move things around a little and create a new area for motorhomes but there was still plenty of room for us we are back at the marina just outside uh Gibraltar the van is right behind me there Gibraltar is just there so it's a big air it's changed since the last time we was here it's a year it's in a different place but a little bit closer in there aren't many services here there are washing machines they're doing some laundry um there's a couple of small toilets in that little Hut there and there's a little restaurant there which we're going to go and see if we can get a bit of lunch out it's the last time we were here quite a few years ago we were all parked here along the fence but now we've got the area behind for motorhomes you looking good in the Hat George and right here's our laundry so we're going to put a load of washing in now all right love hi I'm sending the boys back to get the towels because it'll pad out two loads I've got a light load in the dark load and paddle it out perfect there you go [Music] [Applause] so we've had a successful afternoon we've all got through the shower we've done a couple loads of washing um I've re-topped up the water again here it was nice actually just having a shower in cold water it's so hot okay for those of you that have visited Gibraltar in a motor home you probably know this this isn't for you those who that haven't motor home parks here and it literally is a 10 minute walk um to get into Gibraltar so we've only ever walked into Gibraltar but of course you can drive into your car but it's not as possible to go in with a big motor although I do hear some have done and don't forget your passports all right gracias thank you okay that's the Spanish side of possible control done thank you and that's the British I've done and we're into your brother and look you can tell you're in Churchill Avenue air filter had no stopping it is strange walking across a live here in a field book but we saw a plane early on taking off from here and there's your fuel prices at one pound 11 a liter one pound 29 a liter this is landport tunnel originally the only way into Gibraltar other than by sea and it brings you out here the grand casemate square and the start of Main Street we've crossed over into Gibraltar and we found Main Street and as everything's shut we're gonna go and find a pub [Music] after a quick point in the Queens we headed across the square to Roy's for some fish and chips so we've came here to Gibraltar and of course the shops were shut so we popped in the pub for a pint as you do and can I tell you over the last month I've had less than a bottle of wine I know nobody's gonna believe that but I genuinely haven't drove but we've been away in Morocco there you go there you go so I've had a glass of wine but we are at Roy's Fish and Chips in the square in Gibraltar now because this is gibraltar's favorite apparently but this is where we ate last time doesn't it I just believe so women's here last week five six years ago it's a long time I don't know when we wasn't vlogging them and we went up to the top in the cable car and Eddie got bit by a monkey I'm now scared of monkeys when we were in Morocco and the monkeys were coming for us Hi family how are you hello okay thank you fish and chips I guess we're here for yay [Music] we have enjoyed the cuisines in Morocco but we have craved some British food not necessarily fish and chips this but if you're coming to Gibraltar and you want like cliche British foods but we have crave the full English again that was nice wasn't it was all right it was all right we're always fish and chips if you've been in Gibraltar where's the best fish and chips that you've had um question so I've just done a quick call with pole with the boys as to where the best fish and chips are yorkshire whales or Gibraltar and it was a resounded Yorkshire yeah there we go fish and chips get better the further north again would you reckon get in the comments where's the best fish and chips in the UK 62 pound lighter for three fish and chips and a portion of chips right we used to Morocco prices didn't we well we used to UK prices that's a lot of flipping money wow so the square injury brought it was a hive of activity when we was here last time wasn't it yeah it's really quiet man it is cool it's still a nice place to be we do like it here and no trip to Gibraltar is complete without popping into Morrisons right ingredients for full English bacon sausage six pound low pack Tomatoes eggs Branston beans because they're our favorite York City mommy who says they're bats but we all know the tea cakes we couldn't find any black pudding so what else would you put with your full English what's missing what's going to buy some cider it's quarter past ten and you can't buy alcohol here after 10 o'clock interesting law so Ed said did they drive on the left or the right in Gibraltar and I couldn't remember but he did look it up and they used to drive on the left-hand side of the road and in 1929 they changed it at five o'clock in the morning they switched it over and they now drive on the right-hand side into Brewer and back to our van where we're going to sit down and chill with some fresh air it was about a 50 minute walk back from Morrisons so be warned good morning well I've spun the van around this morning and me and lions have sat there and had a lovely half an hour in the shade it's just the temperature is perfect absolutely lovely the kids are better laying but we're going to move on today we're going to find a nice campsite with a pool that we've got here marked fingers crossed they've got room for us it's an hour and a half away but before we leave here let me show you around the facilities in the site it's a huge air you'll see there's lots and lots of space I doubt this place would be full even in the winter but there's not much here there's no electric here there's no showers here there is a service point that we used yesterday being able to get in the shower and we filled up with water and we all got through the shower there um and that's perfect but we have run the air conditioning oh look there's a plane coming into land haha we did run the air conditioning last night which has brought our batteries down so we're going to charge them when we're on the move and when we get to the campsite so we are in the marina with some lovely looking Yachts just look at some of these and this camera around here look at that and here's the service Point here um there's just one of them so they're queuing up this morning to get out but yeah that's where you're going to empty your gray fill up your fresh and empty your toilet cassette no see the fish in the marina there look can you see them through the water and here is the laundry where we did a couple loads of washing yesterday they got several washers and dryers there's a toilet there for the gents toilet there for the ladies with a sink in each very very basic facilities but good to know you've got a toilet there and you've got a Lounge Bar restaurant just here which was very busy yesterday at lunchtime and when we got back in the evening and they do play music out of here but it wasn't too loud we're far enough away over there and back into the air and back to our van oh it was a hot one last night but we were pleased to be able to put the aircon on even with the batteries we didn't have it on all night just a bit so certainly uh early this morning from around about four o'clock this morning and it's still 53 left on the batteries and there you go 17 Euros for the night so it's been a real convenient stop it's the second time we've been here it's changed since we were here quite a few years ago um there isn't a great deal here it is perfect for visiting Gibraltar though guys there's a link in the description [Music] thank you
