Becoming a.....PRO GOLFER ON THE TOUR!

[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] just imagine you've only got 18 holes of golf left between you and your dream well that's what these players are faced with tomorrow down here at lumina they've already played five rounds of golf and they've got one left to go the top 25 and ties get a european tour card and we're gonna follow six of them to see how they get on jeff winther currently in fourth position daniel gavins who's in eighth the spaniard pet anglers who is in 52nd in 10th position scott gregory all the way from the usa david clark who's in 37th position local golfer emilio contera blanco who's currently in 73rd so there we have it they're the six guys we're going to follow tomorrow and as the day comes to an end final touches are being put to the games weather report tomorrow doesn't look promising hopefully the players are going to get a good night's sleep and some good rest because tomorrow could be the biggest game of their lives [Music] [Music] so here it is final day at q school 18 holes left between these guys and their destiny played on the european tour you can kind of tell it's a different feel already this morning it's early doors our guys are just arriving we're going to catch up with them before they get out and tee off i'm nervous here already never mind the guys who are preparing to change their life potentially the golf course down here at lumina looks incredible condition i'm excited to see how the day pans out come on let's go and catch up with our six guys how are you feeling today good yeah it's a good opportunity uh that's why we play golf final round q school you know a lot on the line it's as fun as it gets so looking forward to today looking forward to how it plays out and uh feel good about it feeling good yeah the weather's not great but it's like being at home so that's a bit of a bonus yeah feeling good about my game just gonna go out there try and hit 18 greens and take it from there really what do you have to do to qualify um it's hard to tell really with today's conditions probably 2 300 would be good enough but it's just hard to tell until we get on the back nine later on i'm not too sure so just going to try and give myself as many looks as i can and try and make the most of it i have a number in my head which is a 17 under which would give me a pretty good chance i believe if hopefully the weather goes out with me and it starts blowing and raining and that's what i like so yeah so hopefully it does that but if not i have to go really deep i'm feeling good good night's sleep necessary after five rounds so everything's good yeah what have you got to do today to qualify just gotta go do do a round on the bar that should be fine i reckon obviously i would like to win it but see how it goes i don't know yeah uh it was a bit tough yesterday i had to stay patient but kind of last was good level power or better but i wanna try and win today i'm just gonna treat it like a golf tournament try and try and burn as many as i can really so yeah today yesterday was a little disappointing you know i wasn't really playing well this week but i managed to fight through what you're gonna do today to pick pick yourself up and go out and shoot every day well yeah yeah i mean this is the last day really i got nothing absolutely nothing to lose i'm just gonna go out there and just i only see holes i only see birdies uh 18 birdies be nice but i'm gonna be humble so i'm just gonna say 16 birdies okay 16 just give me two berries in case the hole wants to leave someone else [Applause] [Music] okay score update all our guys now are through nine holes the cut-off mark 25 and ties is at 16 under we've got three guys that are in qualification spots gavin's at 20 under jeff winther is at 19 under and scott gregory 18 unders we've got three currently and nothing else changes they are going to be qualified for the european tour the three guys that are fighting pep anglers is six is 11 under david cook is 10 under and emilio is five under so the guys have got a real battle on that back nine and to be fair the weather's switched completely reported to be bad weather sun's come out bloom is looking stunning we're gonna follow the guys on the back nine and see if they can make a bit of a charge but certainly the guys who are in qualification make sure they don't drop any shots let's go and find out how the guys get on that night [Music] [Music] so we've been out on the golf course following the guys around but we've come back here to the clubhouse the hive of activities where all the players are finishing i'm refreshing the act constantly because at the moment we've got three guys that we've been following are inside the top 25 and through the um pep and david have finished and it looks like they are not going to be making the top 25 which is a real shame we'll try and catch up with those guys we've got three lads coming in jeff daniel and scott who definitely looked on mark to make an in well this week it's just uh it's just been slow you know when we had like a good tenancy going we had some setbacks and it was i wasn't able to really keep it going for for a while you know to be really ahead of the goal finally which is top 25 so as i said it's just we were kind of between like we were unable to keep going for a while and get ahead of the game i put myself in a tough position i had to make a comeback today and just didn't do it but you know it wasn't in the cards but hopefully next year will be a different story this form it's just the overall tournament it was the first four days yeah so they kind of you know stay there and stay in the in the zone was from tea to green was absolutely crap i just like please stay in place but then up and down like around the greens and partying was amazing however the last two days all the way around from t to green really good and then it's just like this is my home course i mean i practice here i couldn't read a line no way it was hitting the pads well but i just couldn't really run well you've honestly been amazing you've been super you know after a tough couple of tough rounds you've been super honest with us appreciate it you're working it's tough in it i don't think i don't think it's hard until you're here do you realize like how tense and emotional it is unless you're here and you live i mean the tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife i mean it's just one part there one i mean it's just cater it's just one stroke can mean like playing five more events so we're good it's just the end of the season it's over now yeah i get to enjoy a little bit i don't know what i'll do downtown the playstation yes now i'll probably go out with my friends have a few drinks thanks so much for your time buddy uh amazing yeah emotional tough day i had a few things didn't go my way but also sort of fought back nicely so yeah i'm really happy with how to save it on what event are you most looking forward to playing i haven't even thought about it all of them awesome thank you so much for being a part of this yeah that's okay yeah good luck next year [Applause] thanks got it qualified how does it feel good good good calm it was good it was it was nice and you're up there right second joint second place yeah not too bad this means obviously a world next year european tour what event are you most looking forward to getting into well i always always hope to get into the rolex series they're a little funnier to play yeah i bet they are that would be nice and do better than i have done in the rolex series be phenomenal so i'm looking forward to that have you rang anyone yet to tell them you're the first person exclusive how does it feel oh amazing now it's just like i bet when you're out there it's just hard to almost stay focused and just keep grinding to be fair i started pretty well um front now was quite easy and then back nine i started papa and then thirteen i was kind of i don't know it just kind of hit me a bit and keep falling out of bounds right and the second shot was not much better nilla went out of bounds in the second hand made made six yeah then i was thinking yeah the pressure got kind of got to me a bit then um but i kind of bounced back straight away and birded the next part three so i love it that settled the nurse yeah you've done great one of the things that we've really liked about like the fact you've just been on your own grinding pulling your trolley you know keeping yourself to yourself and you've like because i've made european tour for highs and lows the top 25 players and ties have got a european tour card for next year and we follow three of them we followed jeff scott and daniel and they all qualified amazing emotions were crazy commiserations to the three guys that were following that didn't make it but super talented they will be back and they will be featuring in cue school next year and it really made me realize being here how hard it is to qualify 16 under par managed to get in i had some cut some golf that around two incredibly hard golf courses i think one of the big things that we see day in day out is these
