I haven’t watched any of his videos yet, but I’ve noticed this guy and his brother have been posted a LOT recently in this sub out of seemingly nowhere

Man, I love Pony's newer makeup style to be honest. It's become this kind of medium between Korean and Western style which I dig a lot, especially on her (sadly, it looks way too heavy on me :()

I’ve been noticing Nikkie’s crazy multi-toned face for her last few videos now and have been surprised to not see it brought up on here. She uses a darker and way more yellow shade of concealer and concentrates it all in the center of her face. I feel like this is a newer technique of hers because yeah, her makeup in old videos in natural light looks amazing.

I find these conversations in this thread kind of weird. This isn't the first time Robert's videos have been posted in this sub, but previously they went over well with people saying how much they like him and his brother and this and that. Now people dislike him (his use of J* products aside)?

This sub sometimes, I swear.

I'm surprised this guy gets way with calling himself a Pro MUA in every video yet his instagram is devoid of any pics of his clients. I don't think there's any examples of him doing anyone's makeup apart from his own.

I mean he clearly knows his stuff and I agree with a lot of what he says, but I'm not convinced he is currently a practicing MUA like he suggests. What makeup artist doesn't have pictures of their work anywhere on the internet?!

I absolute live Robert. I've learned a lot from watching him

Am I the only one who thinks he should fix his base makeup before he puts other people on blast? Maybe that's the looks he is going for, but imo it looks like stage makeup that hasnt been sheered out and is over oxidized.

Robert discusses 4 BG’s routine/tutorial. Here’s his notes

Nikkie - her liking full coverage is her thing but because she put on so much products then bake it, she looks a bit splotchy.

Tati- he doesn’t really have anything to critique but just adds more information on what Tati’s saying/doing. Actually never mind, he does critique her over contouring considering her face structure

Pony- he really uses her to criticize BG’s overusing of products (Nikita’s sitting in the corner “color correcting” her entire face with her too orange color corrector) (Pony does use KVD setting powder which made me cringe hard)

JC-criticizes everything but says he has nice face shape and structure.

I like that he genuinely provides constructive criticism and gives actual tips that people can use without a huge ringlight and blurring filters. Someone compared him to Brad Mondo but bitch please, no.

[Music] hello everyone welcome back to my channel so today I thought I would do a another reaction video for you all I've had so many requests to do Louis different youtubers and and influences and what else do you call them I don't know so I thought I'll combine them all into one video do a little bit of air you know get them out there just to give you guys a heads up I am really sick today I feel like I'm not really here um I'm really sniffily I'm extra action 8 today more than usual my eyes are just watery and you know and just like you know you're sick you can just like feel your skin like I don't know subscribe it like everything so sensitive my fingers are swollen my rings aren't fitting me properly and life so that's me today just before we go into this video if you don't know who I am and you're not familiar with the way I do these videos if you don't know me you might think that I'm trying to be like really shady or spilling tea or doing it for Clow was that word I think that's my whole purpose here on YouTube is to make educational videos for you and sometimes that means separating what we see online versus reality and actually how useful it is um it's my goal to save you money save you time you know make you enjoy makeup again and not feel pressured that you have to do loads of added steps that and you know the world of beauty tell you to do and I know a lot of people like to say there's no rules to makeup there are no rules to creativity and individuality but however makeup just like any kind of art has a theory and it is my goal to teach you that and there are people that also want to learn that if you don't want to maybe this video isn't for you but please don't be offended that people want to and if you're thinking that why is this boy with this hole in his eyebrows telling us what to do my name's Robert I'm a professional makeup artist here on YouTube but also in real life and as my goal here to help you become a pro yourself or to someone who's a really good at makeup so if that sounds like thank you are interested in and please consider subscribing to my channel I'm gonna sneeze nope okay okay temperatures here I'm like sweating in and I'm freezing cold so we are actually gonna start with nikkietutorials so honestly I have of course I've watched the loads of her videos and here's the deal with these kind of being YouTube it's quite difficult to find something that they're doing wrong because they kind of have their own style and in terms of eye makeup and things like that it always looks amazing and that's why they you know up there but let's have a look this is drugstore holiday makeup tutorial by nikkietutorials it's gonna skip if you guys that my to actual makeup continuous hydration it visibly improves the look of the skin and it has a medium coverage with a radiant finish does the clogged pores and is the dermatologist tested yes and I mean do you see that beautiful skin way glow still coming through that is because we added that extra but I do not see that well probably is there in real life a lot of you wanted me to comment on how heavy and if he does her foundation here's the thing if you're gonna use a Beauty Blender a Beauty Blender is kind of a misleading name cuz it doesn't really blend your foundation it stamps it on the face and makes it look natural so you get a full full coverage no I'm not against that I love beauty blenders I think they're incredible and I think they're really great to use on yourself and he does wear a lot a lot a lot of foundation and I'm not against that if she wants full coverage she wants full coverage and especially on camera the amount of makeup that I wear on camera here is sorry with so much makeup I wouldn't dare do it in real life so the amount that she's putting on to look completely flawless um is a lot a lot of makeup be me today I'm going in with you super stay full coverage under eye concealer in the color ten that's darker than her foundation that's not something she usually does that this must be like a Maybelline product placement again that's darker her than her foundation which actually isn't a bad thing and the way she's use it yes it's a bad thing because the way she's using it here is to highlight she actually has like a collector kind of darker area there if she was to use a darker tone on that area first it will help warm up that bluey kind of gray tone under the eye it's almost like an easier color correction that you don't have to then cover or color correct again to smooth out so it's not a bad but usually it'll be like a read at home and but in this case she's using to highlight I don't like that much concealer under the eye anyway I mean let's face it she doesn't really need that much coverage because it's just a white on a nova coverage and but yeah this is actually darker I'm sweating I'm so sweating so much so one thing I have no it was quite a bit of Nicky is that if we look at her face here n is in the middle of her face there's a lot of different tones on her face so that is mainly because she has a full full coverage Foundation which is patted onto the skin with a Beauty Blender and then she goes on top with a concealer which again is blended in with a Beauty Blender and as she sets that whole thing of powder which men deepens so you know when you accidentally get a powder wet it like darkens and color like a matte powder it'll darken or you get most hard bits on the actual product that's kind of what happens on your face as well it's just cuz it's on your face doesn't mean it isn't happening so you can get me as darker patchy areas that's another reason I don't really like baking I had to go every video you put too much product here and you bake it it makes it this weird texture and weird color and so you can see on her face we have this lighter tone around her jaw we have this darker tone around her nose here and then it's kind of a like peachy tones and other tones everywhere else however I say this and I saw her do it was like a 24 hour wear test off a foundation and she went out in real life her skin had absolutely flawless so whatever she does works maybe just not in this kind of camera lighting which isn't everyday lighting anyway so I really have anything else to say about Nikita dawn interview so a lot of you also requested totty totty and there was so I was trying to look for a video where she does makeup and all she does is review products which I didn't realize it was like a review channel but I found a studio a lot of you recommended it because I had to ask those like what video should I look at this is a flawless makeup tips I said let's have a little look I'm going into torture and I am just taking this on the forehead here because I like to soften up my skin a little bit right before I go into foundation I have a little bit of bronzer on the face just because I took it up from my body I was doing like a body bronzed on my shoulders and chest so the next thing we're gonna do of course is go into a pore filling primer I love the Tarte one you guys know that and I'm gonna take so it's just double priming with two primers that actually give quite a smooth finish to the skin sometimes a layering up these products you have to be really careful with your skin type sometimes layering up to smoothing products can give a complete opposite and give your skin a bit of texture I know for me for example my skin I'm very oily but very dehydrated as well so on my dehydrated areas I use a primer that is smoothing and in my oily areas I use an oil controlling primer because I want my foundation to last longer I don't know oil to break it down however you if I was to use to smoothing primers and layering that on top of my drier areas it makes this really strange texture it's almost like you're trying to mix whatever you put on top in with your primer a lot of people make this mistake with primer it's not skincare but you have to give your skin time to kind of do what it needs to do with it they put on their primer and go straight on top and that can give you this kind of congealed looking texture give your skin a few minutes to do whatever it needs to do with that primer and like you would a moisturizer or something like that or they're not the same but you know and then go on top of your foundation the texture of it will be a lot nice so that way double priming isn't a bad thing but bear in mind where you're placing about product and vemma texture is gonna give your skin it on my fingertip and almost press and dab it into the skin only on the areas that I think really need help because someone tell me what those things are in a background there is neon looking things I really I want to drink them I won't but let me know what they are because they look really cool I want to try them and also serve a technique that she's doing by patting the product into the skin if you have really large open pores that's probably one of the best things to do is to kind of push that into the skin a lot of people are like oh it's gonna clog my pores all this kind of stuff a lot of products unknown comedogenic which means don't clog the pores as long as you were doing a double cleanse or a deep cleanse after you have no worries but if you get a lot of open pores on the nose on this cheek area here you have a lot of texture tapping and pushing that product into the skin is is a really good technique I am barely gonna get anything on the forehead we're keeping it light we are not aiming to cover everything up this is the L'Oreal infallible that I am using I love it so much and it spreads out nice and evenly and easily sometimes foundations that are a little bit thicker in texture you will have a hard time pulling on the forehead or down to the jawline because it just won't move and you don't have to use a lot I'm guilty of using too much foundation so in terms of everyone's everyone's different depending on skin tone in text and everything like that if I was to use less foundation or somebody if I want it to be more natural she kind of just went around and covered up her blemishes which is fine you can do it with concealer on a lot of skin tones you'll notice that there is more redness in the middle of her face cheeks nose capillaries under her eyes I would have started the foundation application in the middle of her face and worked my way out although I know a lot of people get blemishes around there which when you can customize yourself on a deeper skin tone I know about the term can be a little bit more varied so I was kind of starting it outside edges around here but if you're gonna try and wear less foundation think about where you're applying it I always think of foundation to even out the base and then your concealers to hide those blemishes if you even need concealer a lot of time your foundation is gonna cover them but I would work from the inside outwards you'll find out you don't even need that much you might even find you don't need foundation on the forehead once the skin tone is evened out as for a convenience factor in the way that I know what that foundation looks on camera with these lights and everything it always looks great maybe not out in natural direct sunlight the truth that's so true just regarding everything is a ehlo 75 normally you'd use this to kind of smudge shadow underneath the eye what I'm gonna recommend using a smaller more precise tapered brush like this for is spot concealing on the face but using a foundation or a concealer that the same shade as your foundation now a lot of us go a step up with our concealer and that's great for underneath the eye and for highlighting I always have a foundation and a concealer so if I got really interesting she said that I was once shopping with someone I didn't know very well and we would makeup shopping she was looking for a concealer not oh I just helped you know I'm working about our help oh how about this this color is like know what you can see that always has to be one shade lighter than your skin tone as I owe you for under your eyes who don't know for my face and this is I don't know where this kind of thing has come from about your foundation to cover blemishes has to be a shade lighter and I think it might be the reasoning might be that because blemishes are darker you need something lighter to cover it which doesn't make sense if a blemish is dark you want to color correct and use something either your skin tone or a little bit warmer yeah I don't know where that comes from because then you have these lighter dots on the face we use lighter concealer to highlight and to bounce off light to make that area of her face brighter so using it in those blemish areas kind of just leaves you have dots off and concealer if that makes sense she's using a fluffy brush I just wanna show you some of it so with a fluffier brush you're gonna get blending as a blending brushes if it what she's using is an eyeshadow blending brush which I love to use to buff in concealer around the eye area or if I want to bring it down to here or use you know foundation in little areas however if you want to hide a blemish I think he needs something a little bit denser in terms of a brush because it applies more product but it also keeps it more in that area it doesn't move the product around as much with a blending brush you're kind of moving a product round and because the hairs are longer you don't get the pressure that you need to blend in a concealer cause with a concealer you have to blend you have to blend it in so something small like this if this is via Sigma what is it edge precision P 8 7 I really like the shape of this one I mean if you can see it but it's like triangular on top and it's really short and stubby so you can really press into the areas that you need but you get that stub enos and you'd get that pressure on the concealer and I do have discount code of Sigma I never remember it is all blow now I'm sure a lot of you guys are like lesses menorah talk to you just kind of stripe it down now I find it really strange actually contours her nose because she has such a nice nose I think I do agree that if you're gonna bronze everywhere around her face and contour in the face you know leave its area light but you do need something where you're out usually I'll take some bronzer through the eye socket or the crease and then its hiney bit downside of a nose but to have such a strong contour down your nose when you don't really need it and if I'm honest with you I would not taking it down the bridge of her nose at all if anything I would just would have contoured there what are these called with nostrils a little bit just to bring those in and then highlight the down amid over nose and maybe the tip she doesn't need that whole this is a thing we I think a lot of people with makeup we kind of look at a video that's like right that's how I should be doing it everyone's nose shape is different the way I contour my nose won't be the way you contour it we all have different bone structure quanto is changing bone structure so it needs to be customizable to that person and we can't just all do a u-shape and be happy with it on me that will make my nose look even longer and they'll make these bits look even bigger so I mean I've given up trying to guns on my nose but that's about on her I think it's really unnecessary she still looks great but it's just a little bit unnecessary I am now going to take the other side of this brush and with nothing on it I'm gonna very gently and carefully but you notice I use a stippling motion followed by a buffing motion stifling works really well if you have texture skin texture like dehydration drier skin pores but thinking sometimes interrupt and disturb the texture of a skin whereas um if you stipple you're kind of not really moving that much also hi I'm Natalie and these are my beauty secrets like we can't see any of them anyway I actually think she's great I will always watch her videos let's move on so one thing that was really surprised about that you guys wanted to see it was pony and she is one of my favorite youtubers make it one my favorite makeup artists and all she also makes in my favorite products I featured some of her products a while back on my videos and I think you guys for I didn't know who she was thank you like Oh apparently she makes this product she's a youtuber check her out the only reason I bought those products is cuz I know how amazing she is that makeup and her products are absolutely incredible as well Oh links are my favorite ones of hers below in the description box you can check them out which it was like amazing palettes so here's something I think is really really different with Korean beauty and unlike Western Beauty Korean beauty is really natural it's not even natural it's just really well done really natural skin re everything just has to look healthier like healthy skin and where's in the western side we kind of pack yawnin and want to look like we are covered in makeup so be really interesting to see oh I hate color correcting the way it's done online but over the overuse of color correctors and the excessive color correcting will be really interesting to see how a really famous Korean youtuber does it look how lightly color corrects has been applied it's actually color correction it's not a color redo we're not trying to change the whole color of her face of a whole area of her facing in terms of color it's to correct and slightly manipulate the color in a different direction and so the way she's applying that purple color corrector even if that was Orange they're very slight amount she's using a not blending that she's doing is beautiful like you wouldn't even know it's green it's such a small amount and yes she is a fair a skin tone but it's a green color correction she's using and it's just evening out the skin that's how color corrector should be applied we don't need to draw lines triangles or like a whole you know clown face paint on our face this is how it should be done really naturally really beautifully done like all the products should be melting with your skin the skin should just look healthy not caked in products you do not need that much products some color correctors being matte and then they kind of sink into the pores and you get this texture that you would if you were to use ever really dry or drying or mattifying foundation on the skin and if you have like textured or or drier skin color caresses are meant to be unseen under the skin they're meant to help you out are not meant to make life more difficult so a lot of color correctors come as a concealer texture or like a thick creamy concealer and which can be quite drying on a skin and quite texture and quite texture s make a lot of texture of the skin and sittin pause looking for creamier kind of color corrector is a really good one I'll put a few of my favorites again in the link below they are Korean because they do it the best before we go into concealer let's think about how every youtuber applies their concealer but big thing here and let's just watch this [Music] what'd she do 30 miles long supporter to see it okay to lodge and army come game over man throws she put too much throttle so clean so precise really fresh really just just nice natural beautiful like his skin why would we not want that for her selves why must we insist on packing so much products onto fate our faces uncovering in amazing amazing she didn't bake shouldn't be I could watch her all day and I probably will for rest of the day I think it'd be really nice and calming for me considering my situation at of a moment I'm really really happy I watched that video because it's so nice to watch skin looking clean and she had she didn't drop any products on her face she didn't kick her face and crap she wasn't using an oil about she used too much off and and rubbed it in and then painted 20 products on her face before she got her actual foundation it was a really really nice clean precise color correcting still still using color corrector still using more products just really really nice skin really really refreshing and nice to watch let's move on to James Charles so those of you requested this so many of you requested Kings charts there's so many videos choose from so let's have a look at this one wrapping hi sister welcome back to peanut I'm going to talk with the Maybelline a dream at BB cream and I'm just going to put this all over of my skin it's definitely not full coverage what we do have of course concealer to fix any blemishes it's just gonna do a really good job of evening everything out so it just looks a little bit more nice centers use my hands Robison I hope you cream the sin to be easier I would still use a brush would be a BB cream a lot of BB creams nowadays have these kind of particles in them that releases color as you blend and as you push so using your hands you can get quite a discolored uneven texture I would still use a foundation brush or something like that sealer and instead of doing my normal like full coverage patterns that I do on my face I'm just gonna place the concealer in the areas that really need just a little bit of coverage in terms of light coverage and concealer I always say this as well two dots he tapped in that area until you feel like it's blended tap tap tap tap into four like it's blended where you want and then with no extra products just your finger take across about where you're not adding excess product see but under ienaga increases and it's not getting you know drags down and things like that question will you guys allow to wear makeup in school I swear we weren't allowed to wear even that much makeup in school I think even lip balm would be like get out my face is nice and set in place it is looking very very even but it's also looking a little bit flat so I picked up this cute little duo from ELF it has a bronzer hello and as a bronzer and a bus - I think this is five dollars which is perfect for a suit on a budget when I was younger I really didn't like it that much either I thought it was so hard I didn't really care about it I didn't think it was that weird but I'm gonna spill the truth tea on my mouth is probably the most important stuff he applies his bruns and like Vince like it's not really lucky away is going and if we look at his face the application of her products is actually pretty uneven first of all just opening your eyes when you apply here make no but do also as well he has he has a really nice face shape I wouldn't apply bronzer half a plate replaces his applied it I would go underneath the cheekbone has gone quite high on his cheekbone maybe in up in the corners here but he is a really nice structured face he doesn't need that much contouring and he contours around his jaw line he has a jaw line you don't have a double chin you don't need to contour under your under your chin I mean it evens out in terms of bronze but bears a lot of runs of air you definitely don't need that much no dear I just had to skip a little bit for I've just come across this image here we have a very very uneven application on a left-hand side has gone for us more like sculpted down here on the right-hand side is kind of up in this way mainly because his eyes weren't open when he was doing it he was just kind of going anywhere and by now he should be used to he should be used to doing his own makeup and where it needs to go like me when I was locked on this brush don't do that so here's my reasoning why a lot of people do do that Miska horrors are black or brown pure pitch black or gray black or they are brown or red tone brown you're gonna get the flattest looking brows and I know because I used to do this I used to do this all the time with mascara cuz I thought it's the only thing I couldn't hold my brows in place you're gonna get a really flat mapped looking brow it looks completely unnatural it is more than likely gonna crumble if you have an oily forehead oily t-zone someone like me they're not as sturdy as a brow pencil or even a brow gel sometimes can be so that oil can dissolve that product it's gonna be a mess you won't be able to touch your brows all day and occasionally you know you get that eyebrow itch where you just need a little itch and yes guys I am feeling so sick I don't think I can carry it on my eyes are starting to get tired and lazy and sore but yeah thank you so much for joining me guys I hope you learned something from that I felt like I was miserable but I do have a series of these videos so go ahead and check them out on a playlist I'll make if I haven't made it yet no I have made it yeah look at it and don't forget to give this video a huge thumbs up if you liked it don't forget to subscribe if you want to as well and also bring back notification about if you want to get notified when I release a video follow me on Instagram okay thank you so much again guys I will see you very soon bye
