Beautify Anki Bug Fix for Anki 2.1.49

hi this is a quick video teaching you how to fix a bug with the beautify Anki add-on that I showed you how to install in this video up here first of all this bug only applies to Anki version 2.1.49 and you can find out your Anki version by going up to the help menu and going to Anki mitsuite or like about Anki or whatever it says for you and you're looking for right over here version 2.1.49 you should be using 2.1.49 anyway because this is the most stable version and it works with the most amount of plugins the bug is basically like this if you look here the font for the heat map is like black when it's supposed to look like this like white and then furthermore on the timers here it's very hard to see uh on top of the timer here there's black text but it's it's supposed to be white as well first of all make sure you're using the correct version of beautify Anki so I'll re-link this version to download do not use the link of the original video and so here is the actual solution of the bug I'll also link this GitHub page that I've written up the first step is to navigate to your CSS files this is the file that controls the way beautify Anki looks all you need to do is open up a new file explorer copy this in and then paste it into here making sure you change this section here that says your name change that to whatever your name is so for me it's owner another way to get to this file if this isn't working for you is press the Windows button and type in percent app data percent exactly like this press enter that's going to open up the app data folder simply find Anki 2 or Anki or whatever here and go to add-ons21 look for beautify Anki go to user files assets and then CSS once you're in this file we're looking for two things we're looking for deck browser.css and reviewerbottom Dot CSS open up both of these and we're going to add in two lines first of all pay very attention to what I'm saying here in deck browser.css this is the fix for the heat map you want to paste in this code which is available on the GitHub page just copy this in and paste it in exactly right here to fix the interval times open up reviewer bottom and paste in this code which again you can copy from the GitHub right here on step 4. copy that and paste this right here make sure all the spacing matches make sure you don't forget the semicolon and make sure everything is in the right spot then save both of these files and reopen Anki if you have any other questions about Anki or learning Japanese please join my Discord server to askme.com
