part two and we said the language of babylon is a language of pride this scene of pride is sometimes so hidden that it takes most people unawares there is all kinds of pride all kinds of categories of arrogance and god is calling us to repentance in these areas there is something known as proud continence you see beloved there are many ways in which iniquity of pride manifests itself in september 4 we find out that pride can manifest itself in our countenances he says the wicked through the pride of his will not seek after god here the bible is making a connection between the spirit of pride and our containers here also in this passage pride is also associated with wickedness here also in this passage pride is also associated with the wicked definitely pride is not an attribute of the righteous one's continence is the appearance of an expression on one's face the state of the heart especially pride in the heart can express itself on the face do you have a proud countenance repent the look of self-importance this smile of self-satisfaction do looking down on all others the wordless announcement of who you are and the agenda to convey your importance to those who are around and only look the person says nothing but the silent look is very loud in this very soundlessness it is a look that says more than a million words if you or she look at you you will feel so small the person will look at you and you wish the ground opened up to cover your embarrassment sometimes a look of despise especially where the elevation of one's blood itself depends on the relegation or destruction a misdestruction is what follows pride because something follows that which goes before it pride therefore is the foreigner of destruction as well as of shame whenever and whenever one sees pride therefore one is to be aware that destruction is following closely behind and shame also is coming afterwards destruction and shame are found inside pride the proud brings this destruction and shame not only on himself but also upon his whole house for he smells all close to him with the rottenness or abomination of his bride in proverbs chapter 15 verse 29 says the lord is far from the wicked but he hearing prayer of the righteous the lord is far from the wicked but he heard the prayer of the righteous pride promotes self unduly the promotion that comes to pride is therefore unmerited for it is god through fake credentials but god the almighty shall carry out a verification exercise and when he does it would demote the proud and promote the humble the wise man solomon tells us in proverbs chapter 29 verse 23 that a man's pride shall bring him lord man's pride shall bring him low and james first he said god receives the proud but gives grace to the humble so god himself is the enemy of the proud pride the most and destroys in the same process as it seems to be elevating and honoring the honor or respect exerted from people through the oppressive might of pride does not last because it is hill gutted it is also not genuine god will promote the humble the promotion on another comes to the ombuds from the lord for god will lift up the humble as he also put down the proud the bible makes us understand too that pride and danger strife the bible makes us understand that pride also provokes strife pride provokes strife you see a person is easily matter is that the offender has refused to bow or acknowledge him a refuse to worship the person but god has a word for such person persecuted by the proud in psalm 40 verse 4. blessed is the man that makes the lord distrust unrespected not the proud no such as turned aside to lies a proud one brings quarrel you will be too proud to own up to a fault you will rather see the problem being down than to accept to stop or accept defeat the plan will keep insisting on being right or being owed an apology hard and being the one to apologize so the plan will always bring strife or it will steer up strife whenever he or she goes although he will argue that his other person's fault the bible reviews further improves that intent that only by pride commit contention seek contention anywhere we discover predatory but of the matter pride starts the strife pride sustains it contention is a result of pride one who is quick to have contention with husband or wife or children of ourself is one but they are not experienced enough but it is a problem but it is a serious problem in conclusion the bible says something in jeremiah chapter 13 verse 17 the match of the verse 17. he says this but 15 hear ye and give ye be not proud for the lord are spoken and the bible makes us also to understand and which is where we're going to conclude obadiah 130 said the pride of their heart at deceived thee thou that dwellers in the eclipse of the rock whose habitation is iron that search in his heart which shall bring me down to the ground so pride is a deceiver and we should not be deceived by it are you listening to these such descriptions you can detect the element the property and the deposit of pride in your life it is time to cry onto the lord and repentance and ask for the spirit of humility to overshadow your heart because the pride in your heart makes you unable to contest with this spirit of babylon because part of the characteristics of the kingdom of babylon is the spirit of
