Fun fact that wasn't in the video: Jeanne is actually a lot flatter in the Wii U version of Bayo 1. That's because executive meddling for the original wanted her to have a bigger chest. Nintendo greatly encouraged Platinum to do whatever they wanted, so they got the chance to go back and make Jeanne look the way they always intended.

I hope Platinum Games makes another game like this one day, I not hating on Korra or Transformers Devastation. I just think another game with the deep combat of Bayonetta is deeply needed.

Another little easter egg with Joe's grave is that, later in that cutscene, Rodin starts throwing caskets full of weapons at Bayonetta. When he throws Joe's casket at her, she pulls a baseball bat out and hits an angel for a home run.

Really interesting video. I knew about the whole Nintendo saving Bayo 2 thing, but I didn't know it was from an already half-finished game.

PshingUpRoses? There is a name I haven't seen in a bit. I remember her from back when TGWTG.com was still a thing.

Still disappointed so many knee-jerkers jumped on the Nintendo hate band-wagon for 2's exclusivity. Were it not for Nintendo, Bayo 2 would never have existed. Never mind that after the fact, Nintendo let them do whatever they wanted to anyways.

Dude I really want to play this game. hearing about nintendo letting the developpers do what they freaking want instead of meddling up in their shit is the sort of thing that makes good games even greater

Funnily enough, Kamiya himself has stated that Eggman wasn't originally a reference to the Sonic games, that it was just a name he randomly came up with. (See Developer Commentary Part 1, ~9:15)

Bayonetta was one of the best games I've ever played. Mostly because I liked both, the over the top gameplay and the over the top humor.
