want identify myself as vehicle a suspicious person standing out here taking pictures of the plant nuclear plant and I'm asking you to see your ID suspicious person is that a mission or a felony that's besides the point okay okay are you teasing me I'm just simply asking for your IDs okay who you are you're asking okay that's consensual contacts not you're not detaining me then yes okay I get my identification because you know sometimes taking pictures of those even though they're friendly they have a visitor center and for some reason they call you when they have a visitor I understand that but you know taking pictures of some infrastructure and stuff can get you put on the terrorist watch list so I don't really want to identify myself I don't want to get hassled with all that your name my name is David I'll give you that much where are you from I'm not from here well I have a unit that's on duty for the county hitting they're coming this way and not let them I'm going to turn it over to them let them deal with you because here just off-duty working for can extra job sir I don't know what you give it to them for I haven't done so just refusing the I think until identifying yourself see me and I explain to you I don't want to identify myself you know in this day and age citizens have to be careful about giving law enforcement in the government their personal information I'm going to give it to anybody well it's like I said you can very easily end up on the terrorist watch list no-fly list and you know now they're going to use those lists which are not vetted you know if you piss a cop off you could end up on that list they want to use those lists to deny people the ability to purchase firearms I mean it's the government is just out of control with that stuff and that's that's why I don't want to identify myself I understand I just want to inform you it is it is against the law to not identify yourself to an officer okay just letting you know it could be as simple as just show me your ID and let me see who you are and be on your way so yep they call you deputy or sergeant Barrera sergeant VAR r er a okay how long do you been police officer 15 plus years in how many people have you arrested for failure to ID and at 15 years I'm just curious how many quite a few but it was under different circumstances it would have to be because there's no way the district attorney will take charges on 3802 because 3002 says you only have to identify yourself if you've been lawfully arrested that's not true that's not okay I can actually recite 3002 from start to finish word for word all right are you deputy who Franklin Franklin yeah yeah nice to meet you oh yeah what I said basically the nuclear plant called I'm sure he's already kind of explained everything to you and they're just concerned due to national security issues that you know hey people coming out here taking pictures and stuff they always have us check out on on whoever's out here and we did just you know make sure that there's nothing nefarious going on you know he said you had a kind of an issue telling us your name and your information yes okay why is that well as I explained to him you know you guys you're going to generate a report I'm not going to do it or if everything's okay I mean if you're not wanted you don't have any more experience in G I'm not he's going to do a report on this I'm pretty sure the shoes make sure I'm pretty sure you have to do a report now because it's sensitive infrastructure and that's their policy if they want to do a report than they can do a report well everything simple their policy is not lost I'm not worried about their politics now what I end up doing with it but basically you know the deal is is you know if you're cooperating with us you cut you loose and let's go on about your business well I've been cooperative not sure except for except for giving my information and so the issue is this okay it you take pictures of certain things okay and when they don't like it especially places like this you end up on the terrorist watch list you know you end up with a report being sent over to your fusion center you already all watch this I meditate on that you're obviously you're trying to get a reaction I know your your video on us you're taking because you want to see what's going to happen today well I wear it I mean I don't want to I don't want to him you up I mean I don't want to have to take you to jail for some BS often so you you know whatever you're out you're doing good I mean we could get it's no I mean it's no big deal but like I said you know that is you already brought up the fact about it being a nuclear facility you know that they're going to be on top of that kind of well sure he said it was a national security issue is why he was out here so I mean that that triggers my and 10 I I'm you know tell anything you already know that hey there could be a report done as you could get stuck on the list I'm not going to do a report stern you but the thing is I'd like you to just cooperate with me and you give your name that's for your driver's license number I run you make sure you have no warrants and then we're on our way because it's not I mean I don't we don't care about you're not here please want to make sure there's not a terrorist out here trying to I mean you can google the place yeah exactly you know so so and gets better pictures than what I'm taking here so I don't understand what the point is I've never seen one of these places before I came down to see it that's similar I mean you know there you go I mean but the thing is if there's nothing no problem nobody's doing anything wrong it shouldn't be a big deal for me to ask you hey man do you have a driver's license because they had an issue there's they're afraid they want to know that somebody's not out here that's terrorist or that's wanted you know that's wanted by immigration or wanted by Homeland Security for these kind of issues you just caused them to go through all kinds oh yeah they're taking out all kinds of stuff so there freaking out I didn't do anything I hear public property and make sure we don't care you know I can't help their paranoia no but you know their workers call us if we can go out you know I mean if we gotta you know they what's thought what's happened in the past you know that's why they're very sensitive as they are I'm terrorists attacked a nuclear power plant before they do they try to do infiltrations all the time they think that they because they can walk in the parking lot there have been guys hey I walk in the parking lot look what I got away with and there's huge big deals I mean that is a big deal okay well I've not entered their property I'm not going to enter your property I'm standing on my property not their property and you're quiet you're fine right now okay but the thing is if I could just make sure you're not wanted make sure you're not hate yeah Homeland Security says oh yeah we know that dude holding that's not the case is it no I don't think so I wouldn't think so you know but you know that's that's the thing get your driver's license I'm going to run you if everything's clear minimal let's go for everything good so what this is really about is seeing if I have warrants so you can take me to jail I mean it's about making sure that what they you know this is not work this is about making sure you're not wanted making sure you haven't been hemmed up somewhere for doing those we don't I don't know you know me I mean I'll tell you I am NOT wanted not very well look might not want it anywhere but by women everywhere so you know not very many people get dropped off in the middle of nowhere it's go to come away that's what I mean I mean we know that doesn't happen wrong there's more of the stores in which felony well and I'm a tourist I've never seen this place I'm going back in it and tourists tourists might pull up to the little Park and has it there for a minute or they're going to go onto Matagorda this is one of the loan-out Matagorda Matagorda I'm going back to base city I haven't I mean this is one of the Lord is reverting sanctuaries in the county in the world I'm aware of that doing that although some stuff out here so I mean most tourists are coming down not necessarily just to take pictures of the planet you can look all that up on Google you can go to Google the photos right from the road yeah but they're not go far come about yeah but they're copyrighted but I know that no it's not you
