all right let's turn things over to jeffree who is enjoying the sunshine outside jeff and warm today for sure certainly you know temperatures 10 to close to 20 degrees above average it is beautiful outside but it does bring up the other problem we talked about earlier the lack of rainfall over winter and spring now putting us into extreme drought for most of the bay area so i did want to start off and take a look at our reservoirs here and show you where things are at right now and the water storage is not doing that great you can see up into the north bay we're averaging 52 percent of normal over the east bay it's doing the best there with east bay mud water storage at 68 percent of normal and the south bay doing the worst 28.5 at lexington reservoir and we're averaging for the south bay 28.9 now the thing most recently that brought us the warm weather it's not that unusual to get this kind of heat this time of year yes it's above average but we do tend to see it as a rainfall season is starting to slowly end here we have high pressure sitting across california and again that's what brought us the 70s and 80s however as we roll through tomorrow there's going to be a subtle change we'll see this cold front move across the west that's going to cool our temperatures down about four to eight degrees bringing a little bit of cloud cover some fog at the coast but overall we do expect dry weather to continue so as we start off tomorrow morning do look for a little bit of cloud cover near the bay the coast and the peninsula and our temperatures starting in the low 50s here through the south bay peninsula and the tri-valley let's bring it over to the east bay tomorrow morning looking pretty good there at 54 areas of fog in san francisco 52 in the north bay at 49. so daytime highs tomorrow not going to be quite as warm with that system i just talked about as that moves over it'll take most of the south bay out of the 80s and back down to the 70s 74 in san jose 77 in cupertino so again some high clouds streaming across through the afternoon this will drop us to 69 in hayward so you're really going to feel a difference right close to the bay and out towards concord 80 degrees again those 80s really going to be kind of minimal tomorrow right through the peninsula 70 in redwood city our beaches remain cold 58 in half moon bay 59 in daly city san francisco we have 50s and 60s through the day a breeze out of the west at 22. and let's bring up to the north bay maybe you got a three-day coming your way you're headed up to napa expect 74 degrees on my seven day forecast we stay dry looking for some on and off coastal wind this weekend 15 to about 35 miles per hour and across the inland valleys we'll hold with 70s this weekend a mix of sun a little bit of cloud cover and some variable wind gusts of 10 to 25. now coming up tonight at six o'clock we'll continue our climate coverage we'll have more looks at the drought and then i'll also take a look at our drought frequency over about a hundred and ten year period and we'll show you where things stack up again i've got all that coverage coming up tonight at six o'clock all right thank you jeff
