all right guys we're gonna install one of these  vanity lights so you can see what it looks like   when it's up this can either be installed facing  down or if i'm facing up we like them facing down   so they're nice and bright so you can  see and then we'll have a nice big mirror   that goes right there but  we're installing right here   it's a pretty easy process we're gonna get this  unboxed and then i'll show you how to do it so that's here okay all right so the first thing we're  going to do there's a screw on the top   two screws on the top two screws  on the bottom and take those out put my wires through here and  then i'm just going to put a screw in to of course i got the drill set temporarily hold it now i'm going to make sure it's level and then i'm just going to use use the end  of my screw gun to mark where i want my side screws now we're gonna drill a hole here where  i marked it and here where i marked it   we're going to take our  little prep plastic inserts get them in flush all right now that we got our inserts in we  can take this and we can put it back up there   just feed your wires through i'm  gonna put one screw into my box here not going to tighten it all the way make sure i'm level now our mounting plate is ready to go so  these since this is a longer light fixture   these two screws help keep this from moving  back and forth so we have a good level it's all   tying down now we just have to get up there hook  neutral neutral hot hot ground ground there's a   ground screw here so we'll wrap the ground around  there and then hook it to the one on the light we're almost done mo and then we'll be down i'm gonna wait for you guys i know i'm hanging  your light at this point you're going to ground   your mounting plate hook it to the ground of the  light and the ground coming out of the wire in   the wall and then hook your neutrals together  and your hats together and then you can neatly   place your wires back in the box and place  your finishing plate over the mounting plate put it up there so this is all mounted all the wiring's hooked up   now we got to put these guys in we're  just going to put one in to each light and then emily's gonna hand me one glass fixture  at a time and i'm gonna probably not drop it   so then you're going to slide this up put it through there and then you  insert the other two and screw them in hmm all right guys so i'm gonna show you why i like  bathroom lights like the one i just showed you   and i like them when they have a continuous bar  and for this situation right here and this is   my screw-up the vanity is actually wider than  what i was expecting so i centered the light   for a certain size vanity this is wider so when  you have a mounting plate like this the center   of this plate is right here i need this center  to be right here so what i did is i drilled   two new holes for the box and then i used  a step bit drilled a hole and put a rubber   grommet in there and then this is where  my wires will come through from the box   and then i can now center this where i need  it to make it work it probably would look   all right if it was just centered the way  it is but i want it to be centered over   the entire vanity so that's my solution to that  i know they don't have any kind of rubber grommet   on these and wires come through it but i went  ahead and put one in here just to protect the   wires it's a little bit smaller hole so  we're gonna go ahead and get this mounted   and the same way we did the  other one and see how it looks so all right so now you can see that is perfectly  centered over the vanity which is what i like   so that's a nice uh if you if you somehow screw  up your box or you change your mind if you can   find a vanity light that has a bar like this  with a nice mounting plate you can adjust that   left and right just like i showed you all right  so that's it for this light install hopefully you   guys found it helpful um i know sometimes you run  into a situation where maybe a light box wasn't   centered or something that's a solution i found  it's worked really well i've actually done it a   couple times in remodels for those of you guys  who are interested in these lights we put them   in all of our bathrooms i'm actually in the master  right now this is where my vanity is going to be   if you guys like these we'll leave a link  in the description to where we got them   and you can check them out so again thanks for  watching and we will catch you on the next video
