Basketball community reacts to Angel Reese's HARD foul on Caitlin Clark!

Angel Reese's flagrant foul of Caitlyn Clark had the entire basketball World talking with some even labeling her jealous and bitter Angel believes she did nothing wrong can you kind of the flagrant do you feel like that basketball play yeah you feel like that was the appropriate the basketball play I can't control the Reps he affected the game obviously a lot tonight so look like you were going for the I mean I'm always going for the ball but y'all G to play that clip what 20 times Monday now Angel wasn't satisfied with just that you could tell that she was frustrated by the way the media portrayed Caitlyn on top of that she really had an issue with the referees who seemed to be favoring Caitlyn according to Angel I think we went up really strong a lot of times and we didn't get a lot of calls and going back at looking at the film I've seen a lot of calls that weren't made I guess some people got a special whistle but just being able to play hard as best as we can um I'm still proud of Cam Clark finished the game with 23 points nine assists and eight rebounds she led Indiana to their first winning streak of the Season Reese also played well finishing with 11 points 13 rebounds and five assists despite being in some foul trouble these two have been must see TV for a while now their epic battles in college were some of the most watched games in women's basketball history and that popularity has translated to the WNBA as the game between the fever and sky was the most watched WNBA game on any network in 23 years the last time a WNBA game pulled in those numbers Caitlyn and Angel weren't even born yet which is why Angel's flagrant foul of klin has been such a big deal there were plenty of eyeballs on the game and most people seem to have a different opinion than Angel one person who was truly disgusted by Angel's flagrant was skip Bist he went as far as to say that it wasn't a basketball play and even called her bitter so now I I listen to her post games and yeah she's become the villain I don't think she wants to be the villain but she's become the the protagonist the the opposite she she's the she's the instigator she's the instigator 100% her post games wreak a little bit of jealousy and bitterness that's how it comes across while Paul Pierce took a different route than skip it seemed as if Pierce was in insinuating that Caitlyn got into Angel's head and she was frustrated with her performance which led to her picking up the flagrant foul on Caitlyn she didn't get the call she out there like Luca Dage she no seriously she she was she just looking as a rep throwing her hands up and she was a little frustrated for the simple fact she wasn't getting a call and for the simple fact that her team's not doing well this year but you know she's playing she's being herself but if you ask Caitlyn she seems to have nothing but respect for Angel I think you know what she's done with her platform has been absolutely incredible I've played her for a very long time and she's been a tremendous player so um you know it's been fun getting to compete against I think it's been really good for the game it seems as if Caitlyn isn't phased by the hate she has been getting from other WNBA players now that is a sign of greatness as she continues to keep a cool head and play her game although plenty of people have labeled Angel as a dirty player for hitting Caitlyn there are some who don't agree ESPN's Andrea Carter saw nothing wrong with what Angel didly it was a basketball play I mean that was the one thing going back to the Kennedy Carter foul what was the one thing we were all going crazy over was that that was not a basketball play those plays going for a block shot clipping somebody in the head Asia Wilson's gotten scratched across the face Skyler di Smith has gotten elbowed in the mouth like it's a physical League nothing comes easy another person who seems to agree with what Andre Carter said is Stephen A Smith Stephen A is usually pretty extra when it comes to his takes so his level-headed response in this situation might catch some people off guard again it's a basketball play she can be upset about it but it's a hit to the head and that's what they're doing in this day and age the game correct the call is correct the game the game is a little bit different that's number one number two um I also think to some degree they're looking for something from Angel Reed Stephen A seems to be is saying that the media is trying to manufacture a beef between Caitlyn and Angel because the two of them make good headlines but media members won't be getting anything extra from Caitlyn who actually cited with angel on this matter when you get flagrant foul by Angel Reese what's going through your mind and how do you just stay within yourself to finish the game what's going through my mind is I need to make these two free throws that's all I'm thinking about um just a part of basketball it is what it is um you know she's trying to play make a play on the ball and and and get the block um but yeah I mean it happens another person who had Angels back during the situation was WNBA Legend Cheryl swoops according to her angel did nothing wrong and it was just a simple basketball play and I think what what people are doing or saying when it comes to Angel Reese when it comes to Kennedy Carter when it comes to the Chicago Sky um I I think it's coming from people who don't really know the game and don't understand basketball but swoops was also the one who questioned whether Clark would be able to dominate the WNBA the same way she did in college one thing that has been interesting to see is the NBA world's reaction to all of this maybe because they are a third party they can see that Caitlyn is being treated unfairly by the WNBA vet in fact Charles Barkley went on television and told women to leave Caitlyn alone you women out there y petty man hey LeBron you 100% right on these girls he known Caitlyn Clark y'all petty girls I expect men to be Petty cuz we're the most insecure group in the world you are y'all should be thinking that girl for getting y'all ass private Charters now this might have backfired as since Barkley made these comments Caitlyn has faced even rougher defense and many players have spoken out against Barkley to be fair to them there have been many great WNBA players who are pushing the game of basketball forward Caitlyn just happens to be the one who can take it to another level but going back to what skip bis said Caitlyn gets so much credit for the wnba's recent popularity that other players do seem to be jealous and bitter about it now that does include Angel Reese Reese made sure that everyone OD that she was part of the wnba's growth as well and just looking at that like I'll take that role I'll take the bad guy role and I'll continue to take that on and be that for for my teammates and if I want to be that and I know I'll go down to history I'll look back in 20 years and be like yeah the reason why we watching women's basketball it's not just because of one person it's because of me too and I want y'all to realize that like it's not just because of one person a lot of us have done so much for this game meanwhile Jeff Teague went on his podcast and clearly said that the WNBA players are flat out hating on Caitlyn even though she is uplifting the entire game of basketball Caitlin Clark it's like what the people say afterward like shorty like what she do good just shoot threes it's like nah she got your' Charter Jets that's facts bro got eyballs on your game like what are you talking about but you know it's real hate like that's a real hate moment bro like you just really 17,000 people at the game yesterday bro listen at 10:30 in the morning however Kaylin has kept her cool this entire time she continues to show that she is made for the bright lights and willing to go through any trial or tribulation to help her team win the fact that none of the other WNBA players can rattle her or get under her skin shows that she is Built For This
