[Music] [Music] [Music] if you've eaten MREs cold more times than you've actually heated them and eating them hit that subscribe button like comment that kind of stuff helps me out a lot of people have been asking how can they support me well there's a couple different ways one you can buy t-shirts through Alonzo defense group now some people have been saying hey they're not giving me my t-shirts quick enough understand please bear with them they were hit by the hurricane things are a little slow weather getting everything back up so bear with me if you check their Instagram they're doing updates right now another thing you can do is if you want ammo and you also want to help me out freida munitions so they actually support me right now I'm sponsored with ammo through them I give you guys full disclosure and everything now what's cool about them is they're giving me ammo more testing for me and also at the same time they give me you guys a discount code they're not really asking for much other than other than the fact that you buy em off of them and they do make good my fired about fifty thousand rounds somewhere around there at this point and a big fan of it personally now as you can see got a haircut everyone swallow you have to look like you're in the military no big deal we're gonna deal with it Glocks what do I need to change on my Glock to make me an amazing shooter not a whole lot in fact stock Glocks rock so if there's something that you want to do with your stock Glock for most shooters now we're gonna say about 80% of shooters what you can do is you can smooth out the internal so it's really simple what you do is you buy about thirty five hundred rounds of ammunition and you shoot all that through your Glock and good training programs maybe take the class and you're gonna have a buttery smooth Glock you're gonna be good to go now if you fired those thirty five hundred rounds you put a lot around through your Glock and there's a couple of things that aren't quite there for you and that you feel that maybe some customized options might be kind of up your alley well this video is for you in that case so we're going to talk about some modifications we make that we can make to our Glock and based on the way that you run your weapon after you've shot it quite a bit so when it comes to our Glocks one of the first things that I would recommend doing is changing the sights now this is a mod that you can do right off the bat because the stock Glock sights do leave a little bit to be desired now that being said they're not bad and if it's kind of outside your budget because again sights to costs around no good sites do cost around 150 years somewhere around there plus installation all that type of stuff and that money could be better spent on ammunition for the so for those of you ballin on a budget ie anyone efore and below just stick with the stock sites or for my college kids go ahead and stick with the Sox I just buy some ammo start shooting get some training that's probably gonna be more worth your buck now if you're a white-collar dude and you're making a but you know a little dose you know we're talking warrant officers who don't exist or officers and above hey maybe we can drop a little dose on some nice sites now regarding the iron sights that I do recommend um as you can see on this particular weapon I have the Haley Haley strategic 13 sights spelt out leet-speak something like that they're good there's other good ones out there you have the Americas you have the true cons you have the ten eight sights a whole bunch of options out there fine alone that works to you I'm not going to specifically recommend one brand and the reason for that is because everyone's mind works a little bit different everybody's eyes work a little bit different so because of that different sights are gonna work for different types of people so find the one that's gonna work for you and kind of go from there now you've changed out your sights you're good to go you're shooting you shouldn't you shouldn't and you realize hey I think I need a couple things done to this weapon so we're going to talk about a couple of different things that you can do to these guns to make them a little bit more suitable a little bit more usable for those of you who are more advanced users now a couple notes here when you mill a Glock or change anything on the slide or anything that type of thing you're actually killing the Glock and that's kind of good because whether or not you know it Ghassan Glock actually puts a part of his soul and each Glock that he makes that's what he lives forever it's kind like a Horcrux so when you do that you kill one that way we can get a step closer to taking them down that type of thing here is kind of my stock clock right here not quite stock I've had some stuff done to it but what I've identified in some of my shooting is that I need front slide serrations now why do I need front slide serrations and why do I use them and that's a good question or any type of serrations are increasing the serrations so first off with front slide serrations the purpose behind them is for press checks now you can't of course press check from the rear check for to check to see if you have around loaded but I found that the front slide serrations are more natural for press checking and that type of thing is it that big of a deal no but in my cases falls within my budget and it's something that I constantly do and it's easier to do it with front slide serrations and without so you have your front slide serrations now another deal that you can do is also type top slide serrations on the very top of the weapon right here now the question is why would you do that and there's a little bit of kind of confusion among some people regarding why you do it and there's some really good sources on why you do it but anyhow the point is is that it offers you a little bit more purchase and benefit when you have to rack that slide off your clothing for example if you have a hand damaged or something like that you have to rack off the belt now a lot of people end up using the optic or the iron sights themselves in order to rack the weapon but that is kind of a smaller in the case of the iron sights that it is a smaller kind of target to try to head off your belt so this top front slide serrations offer a little bit more purchase onto the top of the pistol now if you do have an optic on the top that of course is going to make it easier so those are kind of our frame cut options as far as aiding and manipulation and besides that some companies also kind of enhance the rear serrations in order to make them kind of more grabby more grabbable and that type of thing or match them up with their kind of custom front sights front slide serrations so kind of find a company that kind of fits your bill and kind of fits your style in that type of thing now you have this front slide serrations you're having a good time your press checking like a boss your firing firing firing press checking and looking cool and something you realize hey I like these iron sights but I would really like an optic so when it comes to optics on our Glocks there's a couple different options of the you have slides that are ready-made for optics now there's only about one really good one in my opinion when it comes to that and that is the unity tactical atom slide or however the hell you pronounce that so they make slides that can be have adapter plates and you can mount different optics to them and it's a much better more robust system than the Glock mos models for example so that is one that I recommend now you can of course do the Glock MLS so right here I have the Glock mmos to mount one of my optics but it's not the best so typically if you want to mount an optic I'd recommend getting a custom milled and the reason I recommend custom milling for a gun for an optic is that it's gonna keep it tighter help reduce kind of the wear on this on the optic itself as well as getting it lower to the gun the lower that up the kids in general kind of the easier it is to shoot and kind of line it up with your eyes because when an optic is really high for example like this Delta Point Pro I have to really kind of bring that weapon down in kind of a weird angle and I kind of mix it just a little bit more difficult to shoot so in any case get the milled out to that specific optic it's best to have the optic on hand that way they can melt specifically to that optic so right here we have a Trident defense Glock and they have taken this cloth this rmr and they have milled the pocket out directly to it so when I unscrew this like even without the screws in that rmr is really tight in there so that is something that you want to see I'm a big fan of them they did a really good job with that so anyhow we have custom million for our optics right here now besides that we also have on our slides what's called lightning cuts not lightning but lightning as in it makes it lighter so why would you do lightning cuts on a slide well it kind of comes down a little bit more to the competition world what we're doing is we're removing weight from the slide and that means that during the recoil cycle we have less weight kind of moving back and forth but also changes the balance of the gun so on the one hand if I'm trying to say use a lighter recoil spring then lightening that slide especially if I have an armoire in there will kind of help balance things out and I can use different types of recoil springs lighter we call Springs Delp adjust that weight so in this case we have a trident the squawk and this is a Glock 17 that they have modified for competition use now in this case I have the RMR off of this one just I can show you how well that they kind of finished this they finish everything under the RMR sometimes companies don't do that and you have bare metal and that's a no-go then it rust and a lot of type stuff but anyhow if you look at this slide you can see that there are lots of cuts in the slide itself look looking directly into the barrel what this does is it makes it incredibly late when I'm bringing up the target that weight is far back on my hand especially when I shoot it that recoil cycle is just phenomenal now the problem with that is of course that dirt gets in there a little bit easier right now I've seen a lot of arguments on this some people have said hey dirts gonna get in there it's gonna clog it up more easily guns gonna go down personally I haven't had that happen to me but of course with these with this particular gun I have not used it in kind of a rough and tough kind of dirty type of duty environment I've used it most in competition so we also have you kind of have a lesser example of this with a little less slide cuts you have one just in the top like on this Trident defense Glock 19 so in this case again you do have that opening on top of the barrel but I haven't had any problems with it but again it is something to be aware of with your Glock so it's always give-and-take with everything so yes I can go with the lighter recoil springs I've moved some ounces and kind of bounced it out that RMR but at the same time you know there's a greater chance that I could get dirt into there so anyhow figure out what's gonna work with you with everything personally I prefer something that's sealed all the way such as this landers weapon systems Glock that they modified for me I like everything to be sealed up just kind of like a normal Glock if at all possible so that's we have there now another thing to look at is kind of the designs that we have on the slides now these both kind of have specific designs kind of with that we're trying to look cool now are we ever gonna look browning hi-power elegant cool no not quite it's kind of beautiful but we're trying to get close to that with these Glocks oh that's not God so I really really like the look of the landers weapon systems Glock I think they did a really good job on making it have just a sexy look just mmm just love it the slide serrations are perfect for my hands they're not too rough anything like that like great with Trident defense it's a little bit more aggressive and again I do like it quite a bit I prefer kind of a little more subtle of a look but again this definitely has a nice aggressive appearance I'm a big fan of it as well so again different strokes for different folks kind of final it works out for you one thing with the Trident defense is it has kind of a little more sharper edges not like cut you well the point is I want my Marines to stay away from it because I'm worried about you guys how much you guys cut yourselves said I want you hurting yourselves because I'm worried worried about you guys mm-hmm anyhow we have a slide work so going from our site store slide work let's get down to barrels for a second so we've got in barrels don't switch unless you need it so for example on this Glock upper that I have right here or Glock slide where though you want to call it I have the kkn barrel KK and barrels very accurate KK and Barrel is awesome I love the KK and Barrel and I had the kkm comp which is the only reason that I have the KK in barrel otherwise you stick with stock lock if you have a suppressor get a threaded one but otherwise stock barrels are gonna do perfectly fine don't invest your money into them unless you have a specific purpose okay so we're grinding internals keep them sock on pucks are great don't replace the back plate anything crazy like that with a Punisher Scholl I mean it's it's cliche so don't do it now talked about our slides talk about the barrels sights all that kind of crap let's move down into the frame itself so with frames especially the gen 3 and the Gen 4 is glock left a little bit to be desired specifically a lot of people didn't like the finger grooves now of course at the Gen 5 Glocks the fair grooves aren't that big of a deal anymore because they're gone but if you have a gen 3 or Gen 4 you might want to get rid of those and here's a couple things that I like to do to my frames to make them a little bit more suitable now I don't have giant man hands I've talked about this a lot I'm kind of gummy built and not like a huge dude a lot of people have met me nowadays and I'm like 6 foot but you know not giant hands like normal but anyhow on the Glock 19 and we can are talking Glock 19 specific because it is the best Glock out there the butt of the gun is a little short now without it modified from people it gets a little crowded with their fingers especially without an undercut right here so on almost all my Glocks that I shoot pretty regularly I have a little undercut right here on the frame I have all the companies do it for me and it's pretty common to have done and that allows me to get a little bit higher up on that gun makes a little bit more comfortable not so crowded on these firearms so that is one thing that I always recommend now regarding kind of the aggressive texture that I have done on a couple of these guns that's kind of user preference when it comes to that type of stuff I don't like my texturing to be too aggressive but it definitely does have its merits in certain circles like competition use in that type of thing so in this case a landers weapon system did a kind of a mild sibling job and I really like the look of it I think it looks good doesn't look like it has cancer or anything like that which is good I don't want my Glock to die prematurely I want to live a long happy life but any case couple things that they've done is they've recessed a little bit just forward of the takedown notch what that does is when I lock into that pistol with my thumb it helps me to really drive into that weapon and get a good handhold on it the sibling kind of moves all the way around they've also added stippling on the bottom of the trigger guard right here as well as on the front it's pretty standard that way allows me to kind of lock and get a little bit more purchase on that gun now with any of this stuff doesn't really matter now because if you're not a good shooter and you have a good stance good hand grip and all that type of stuff you know guns not going to make you better but as I've shot thousands upon thousands and thousands you know forty fifty thousand rounds through these guns I found that these mods kind of helped me shoot a little bit more so again everything is very specific to me so we've talked about the landers weapon systems glock let's talk a little bit about the Trident defense so what they've done is just a Ford of the takedown notches they've actually added a little ledge there so it's really aggressive so when you get into that you can really hold that gun down during rapid fire and as you can see by looking at the butt of the gun it is a very aggressive texturing and again now really allows me to get a good handhold like even when I'm super sweaty and gross and bloody or whatever's going on as I'm shooting squawk I don't know why be bloody but I can really get a good hold on that gun now the problem with that is if I'm shooting this for like a two three day course it kind of does begin to wear in my hands a little bit and if I have gloves on it begins to tear into those so again something to think about think it's that big of a deal but just so you guys know kind of what I'm dealing with when when working with a more aggressive texture and at the same time I can definitely drive into this gun harder and shoot it harder and then I can with others now with this with the Trent defence compared to like the Landers weapon systems you can see that also has undercuts right there has these stippling on the front that way it can engage into that gun so they've done a lot of the same things that the Landers have just kind of any different style so again when it comes down to with a lot of these things is style kind of what are you looking for alright so we've talked a little bit about a couple different frame mods one of the last things I want to talk about is triggers so the Glock trigger leaves a lot to be desired they're definitely not the best in the world and the best way to get a better Glock trigger a shoot it a lot again take those 3,500 rounds shoot them through your Glock good to go but if even at that point you're still just having trouble with trigger take a class shoot some more now but seriously there are better triggers out there for the Glock there's a whole slew than out there I'm not going to name all them Hayley strategic has some Trident defense makes their own very excellent ghost ink or whatever it is incorporated they make their own kind of little mutts the triggers as well more than I can mention with anything make sure you do reviews you look at and see how how reliable the triggers are because as you get a letter trigger pull the Glocks Nunn's you sacrifice reliability as far as how hard that striker is hitting that primer and kind of ignition of that round so again I don't like to mess too much with triggers on Glocks but if you feel the distinct need to just make sure you do your research prior to doing it and my opinion just spend a lot of time dry firing if you dry fire a whole bunch chances are you're just gonna get a lot better and I'll have so much trigger trouble with that trigger so sure your Glock and you're gonna be fine so we've talked a little bit about custom Glocks a couple notes that I want to add to the ad here at the end there's a lot of good companies out there I don't want to leave anybody out so another really good company that you should take a look at is Jagger works Jaeger works however you want to say it I'm not shut up pronounce that company's name but they Rock they make some really good stuff and they do some great work you also have the original he have a te I who's one of the first who pioneered kind of milling Glock slides and there are another great company to look at and they do some great services and some great custom Glocks I'm not gonna be able to name all of them find the one that works for you and kind of go from there now I know I'm gonna get asked about it and that's going to be the rolling special and I do want to do a video specific to the rolling special so I don't want to say too much on it right now but suffice to say when you add a comp to the to a pistol it of course reduces felt recoil significantly this gun doesn't recoil the same time there's a lot of mods that I had to do to this gun to get it to function somewhat reliably including lightening the recoil spring to work with practice ammo and all that type of stuff we'll talk about that more but overall I think I shoot my kind of more stock Glocks more than I do my comp ones but let it be said that they definitely do have a very negligible amount of recoil so this video has gone on way too far at this point I'm sure you guys are tired of me talking so as with everything guys find something that looks cool and what doesn't look cool is not being able to shoot well so just shoot your Glock a lot and that's honestly gonna probably be best for you if beyond that shooting you need some more things done to your Glocks and make them work for you check out a couple of companies as I've mentioned we have landers weapon systems Trident defense a TEI jagger works check them out guys as always thank you for watching and look cool and destroy Horcruxes from Gaston Glock
