BARCELONA 2021! ✈️

pandemic the last international flight we took together was in september we took a group tour to bali with some of our best friends and it was incredible but we were oblivious to the fact that international travel will be stripped away from us for the next two years since then we've been itching to get back on a plane and soak up a brand new place but before that amy has to put into practice what she's learned from her counselling and for her flight anxiety [Music] this morning well let's go past two we've kind of been eminent iron about this do we do we not do we pay for it do we not we're gonna we're gonna get a flight to barcelona tomorrow so um when i was in my counselling last week if you haven't seen that video click here he told me like to fly as soon as you can because it's all going to help with the process you know the more you do it the more you see that you're not going to die so we're going to go to spain tomorrow cardiff to barcelona tomorrow it's really early so that's like oh you know um two hour flight easy it's gonna be lovely stop stalling come on [Music] it's been declined your car's been declining we're going to barcelona this is my new mindset we're going to have a great time i'm gonna wake up tomorrow although you know waking up to get on a flight is a bit touch and go um it's gonna be great two hours to spain will be there and it won't even be midday so you've got the rest of the day to relax by the pool that's exactly how it's going to go okay i think we're done we've got my little summer hat ready to go on a new adventure feeling good heading to craig's gotta wake up at about half five head to the airport for six but we're only like five minutes away so excited let's go [Music] are we doing drive you all right yeah i'm all right doing really well babes i've been up for ages like i don't even think i've slept and i was doing my breathing exercises in bed and everything honestly i've really been thinking of the positive thoughts that the counsellor said to do so um you're smashing it baby i don't want to cry but like i'm really happy because it's this there but i'm i'm managing it you know you're doing it babe you're doing that we're doing it going on all the days [Music] i've had this phone case for ages and i've just turned it over on my leg and realized like exactly what's on it i've never been to barcelona in my life [Music] we made it we weren't supposed to be sucked together [Music] we made it well done babes having conquered that flight it felt so good to be away again after two years of uncertainty and feeling deflated and stuck we were finally somewhere brand new with the sun shining new smells new food new adventures awaiting us it felt bloody wicked i miss doing this so much for us travel isn't just new experiences exploring different cities and meeting new people it's food for the soul it's what gets us up in the morning and it's what king and it is all about rule your own world get out there and live your life as if every day is your last and we're lucky enough to have the same lust for life [Music] morning you're a tourist are you on tour 94. do i look like a proper tourist today you look like you're going for a rave the pants you've borrowed off me and you're also a dj on the main stage i am come on chris we gotta go for some breakfast start the day as we mean to go on the day is perfect it's a lovely breeze the sun is shining and we have got a full-on day for you today lads very excited first off a place called vaca for breakfast becca that's the one you chose yeah yeah so i did the itinerary give craig a few options you know pick what you want darling we got 11 days here so i'm sure we'll get through a lot of breakfast places because we didn't book it with the um with the hotel so we're going to be skins after well the hotel was 14 euros each for breakfast breakfast 25 quid mate you taking the [Music] we were hoping for a car a moment where we were going to eat some beautiful spanish food and get really emotional i love so much this is happening just crying and eating carbonara this is why i married you but it didn't quite go like that eight euros oh yeah eight euros it's called cheese on toast there's no cheese on that egg oh dear well there is cheese on it there's blocks try it see how you go we're open in a vegan cafe and we're going to be millionaires by extorting stupid people like us lovely staff lovely juices for that food tell you what i'm putting in a complaint to the council that ain't cheese on toast breath [Music] tell your family so um right now we are at the park dilla and the rest of that and in barcelona even though it's a city there's loads of outdoor pools which is a bit of us in it we love that and there's one here in this park we've got some takeaway from a place called bowl little pokey bowls trying to be quite healthy but this place is mad it's so lovely it's just like a little pond that they make into a swimming pool in the summer for like all the kids it's only like knee deep it is this is the equivalent of us going to the local splashback a little splash pack for children there's lots of kids here and then there's us so yeah [Music] it's really lovely it's only this this shallow oh yeah gorgeous today's what 26 it's like a really good temperature there's a lovely breeze so this isn't this is lush this looks like a little tropical park corn homes get in it's not that cold wow okay i'm pretty sure we've been really lucky with the sun today and uh a thunderstorm is brewing so we're staying for a little bit longer never mind to run home it's like two euros each to get in and you can rent i think you can rent hours or they just give you lounges for free yeah it's nice and quiet that one team's face apart from us but like packing last year where craig's gonna start raining oh grow everyone's still sunbathing does this happen can you have thunder and lightning without rain stupid barcelona come on we only came here for some sunshine you know what i mean luckily the rain's stopped and the sun's come back out but because we're on top of a mountain nobody wants to come pick us up in a in an uber so we're having to use our legs we're working quite a lot in the city we need to do something about this i feel like 100 percent need to do somewhere like craig the sun is so warm and you know the jet lag and everything we're just so tired all the time we're rusty travelers big time rusty travelers obviously we haven't been anywhere like abroad for such a long time this is us we need to go here this is where the cake is [Music] we went into cake we ended up getting cinnamon rolls and ice cream and little lemons left i have to take everything off to attempt this this place definitely stop here the guy was such a nice guy and there's loads of vegan options as well oh you may or may have not stopped for a foot massage because we're all princesses it was super cheap though so it was cheap um but now we're gonna go meet a fella we've got a scooter for us sounds a bit sketchy we've booked it on our website we've paid 18 euro so far and we've got to pay the rest when we see him hopefully he's got a card machine yeah but like barcelona is fantastic for like public transport and everything's on time and everything's super quick like this metro after metro but we just thought why not do it in style you know it's one of our favorite ways to get around as well like whenever we're in southeast asia we always get scooters and you can really see a place where the scooter so see it and smell it also the e-scooters here harry and marv would have a field day so the electric scooters i think they're legal here which is really cool yeah everyone's driving week so i thought that was really good we've been spending a fortune on taxis haven't we yeah so yeah let's give her a go one dodgy thing he did say though he said every time you fill up with petrol you need to fill up with oil so i said there's something wrong with it then is there he said no no this type of if it's not manual you need oil i was like i've i've ridden a fair few of these fellas i know how they work so i gave him a little side eye and he knew i knew but it was like half the price of a normal rental so let's see what happened hopefully it gets us about pray for us i'll say that you look like one of those women like that's under one of the old school hair dryers massive yeah yours is pretty big too you know jean-jamar oh she sounds cute maybe it hasn't been driven over there lights go off completely brilliant we just realized that we never actually asked the guy any questions so if you live in barcelona and there's any road rules parking rules it would be great to know our military [Applause] this is so much fun yeah i've missed doing this so much honestly it's one of my favorite things to do when we travel is just whizz around on a scooter it's just it's just pure freedom i love it if you've got the gut to do it then we recommend it and if you could be quiet that would be great don't embarrass us [Music] they're gonna kick us out they're gonna be like i'm in the morning before you take off and do you mind pushing it out of our drive and then you can get on it when you're on the road we don't want to be associated with you next problem so um all my stuff's in there the guy did say it was broken now we can't open it for the life of us there's no way it will open so what you should deliciously just want to pull out and then it says come up the lock's broken so that lifts up and then that's supposed to pop open but of course but no craig and alia ran that's what it is it's not gonna work [Music] we spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the bloody box open and eventually we cracked the code this bike is a disaster went in a little shop to get some things for the room and then we were in there and the guy at the back of the shop was like there's pickpockets in here and they're after you so we were like the bed chucked all the cameras we were we were a bit stupid really amy had a camera around her her front and i was holding a camera and just looking at the whiskey so we took them all in the bag and jumped in an uber and here we are so we're back in the room we've had a slow day today aren't we johnny honest we've been rubbish today we literally woke up what one o'clock it wasn't that late it's the jet lag see jet lag's got us in the throat so yeah we haven't done a lot today or taking you uh many places but we hope you had a good time um but yeah when that guy when he was like talking about pickpocketers because he had his mask on and he was trying to trying to whisper it to me to begin with because i was the first one in the shop i thought he was offering me drugs and i was like oh and he was like oh no pickpocketed and i was like i'm not sure what to do mate so yeah we almost died so uh yeah so just be wary just a warning if you're in barcelona don't be like us walking around with the gear uh we're usually pretty good and we're usually pretty on it but i did clock the guy and he did look like he was a bit sketchy seedy guy but it was after dark so you'll be fine in the day i think you're right but don't don't live by those words because if you do get robbed like don't sue me but we have moved in so uh it's embarrassing it's always like living with you it's because we we keep putting do not disturb on the door so they don't come in and change things or take the rubbish because we want to sleep in lazy so-and-so's for the bed that bed is unbelievable it's so big we have to roll over twice it's just like the cushions and the softness of it you just you have a great time you just don't want to get out cheesecake in a film babes sounds like a plan holiday with johnny rotten who listens to laughing already you're such a little scumbag amy wanted to know johnny rotten is so dad morning guys so i'm gonna need your help which one number one number two [Music] and we're not going to a basketball game we are on holiday santa fe would be so nice yeah loves it babe [Laughter] i just i just don't know you do a craig you're an absolute filthy animal you don't need to say anything you don't need to say a word this is you ah it is a team effort [Music] today we're going to be proper tourists and we're going to do an e-scooter tour yes of all the beaches well this is the best way to see it really [Music] until craig i was having a think about it what to call this little rebel and um i was thinking well nothing's gone nothing's gone right with it and then i thought of ian wright and then i thought well maybe we should call him ian wrong he ain't wrong so ian wrong wrong wrong wrong i hope he plays ball today which is a good thing there he is ian wrong himself you're wrong moment of truth is it going to start oh are you kidding me what what where is it locked or something no it just won't start oh well that's it i chose cancer the holiday's over back day [Music] and this is why you should not watch this channel if you're looking for travel tips and advice wish me luck [Music] oh we're going to the w this is the posh bear oh powell is about to show us his favorite spot in the city the best view this is a tough way to see the city tell you what these are like harry and marv on steroids pretty dangerous scooters rip in brat so now we're heading into the gothic quarter he says it's very romantic um but i don't think we're going to be able to hold hands because i can barely ride this with two hands the boys are just shut off and i'm just like pow quick wait for me [Music] [Music] so as we listen to the beautiful street music powell's just going to show us a national dance kind of you want it might they oh you can help me [Music] [Laughter] if you ever want to come and do a tour don't do the segways do the scooters and he'll take you on a wicked trip we've been wandering barcelona thinking we knew where we were off but he's shown us so many amazing spots and uh it's just i feel like we're like properly in the city now getting to see it all even his house [Music] this is class it's beautiful i've always wanted to see inside like you know you see the streets lined with houses little flats and things and this is it this is where we're at look how cute [Music] this is amazing it's class not only did powell show us a wicked time in the scooters he even took us to the rooftop of his apartment building to show us an incredible view of the city elevator that was pal was brilliant so good we always end up with people who just break the rules and like take us other places instead yeah but it was so good like paul taking us to his house we felt so privileged and to be able to sort of see the city from there and see how he lives yeah it was so good i mean he took us to some really cool hidden spots absolutely amazing we really should have done this like on day one because he showed us everything we're like oh pin this we'll go back there we'll go back there so yeah if you're gonna do the tour which we highly recommend do it like on one of your first days because you get a real feel of the city yeah yeah and you can go back to places that you really want to see we know exactly where we want to go back now so we're going to go get some food but yeah like primark zara h pretty much massive made and the building is beautiful but yeah power if you're watching this thank you so much mate we absolutely loved it muchos gracias muchos british tapas you can get i love the chicken strips please love and here we have the baby crockett so cute i don't want to eat them and for the grand finale vegan paella you're joking me plant-based seafood mate i actually find that hilarious that they're like supposed to be shrimp i'll go and taste it taste it let me leave the shrimp in the sea just get just eat plants instead oh go on rate it because i've never come across a plant-based shrimp in my life really good not really that fishy though kind of spicy [Music] really good it's like that paella is so tasty [Music] what are you saying chef's kiss baby yes yes top food we've been like slating all the places we've been because we've it's just been really miss but this one was a hit if you're gonna come down this way it's a bit more touristy but that is incredible food yeah i mean you say that but this is the first like spanish actual place we've been to for proper proper spanish food yeah properly so yeah i mean don't come at us for having pokeballs and stuff like that yeah i know um but if you've got any recommendations on good local food that's vegan that's the truth that's the like tricky part that's vegan would be very happy a few comments below pokemon card to the beach because this is just by there so might as well i'm in barcelona look at it [Music] [Music] definitely a great place to come people watching down here yeah it comes alive in the night barcelona does it's been busy anyway because it's a saturday yeah families are biking people have got like rollerblades are obviously a real big thing in barcelona that player is busy so we're going to leave you here for this video but it's going to be an action-packed week again next week someone said we were going all day but uh we haven't stopped
