hey there music friends and welcome back for another reaction and Analysis video today you and I are going to be listening to the awesome German group and in my counterite and they're going to be doing the song Valerie with Natalie Finley don't forget to leave me your thoughts on this music today down in the comments section [Music] sorry can we start that again don't worry I'm so nervous you you just arrived two hours ago I just had like two hours sleep what's the first night give me come on well sometimes I go out walk across the water [Music] and I think of all the things [Music] well my body is [Music] [Music] together foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] are you better [Music] I am gonna stop right there it it's always so hard to find spots to stop to say things but I just have to stop there goodness gracious I love this I love this for multiple reasons this Natalie Finley so we got to see at the beginning you know this is a professional singer that girl has an amazing voice just as good as Henning May I loved her voice just that little crackiness that she has in there it just adds kind of a nice little sweetness to what she's singing but here she is talking at the beginning she makes this huge mistake she apologizes for it they figure it out they move on and she's just killing this song it happens to everyone and sometimes we get so down on ourselves for making those mistakes but you know what that is life I commented about this uh bass uh line that they got going on here it's a really cool really simple line and then they throw in the drums opposite of what the bass is doing so they kind of have this boom ta boom ta kind of thing going here this trade-off and it just sets the whole mood for this section of this song and I mean Henning May's voice the guy's voice is just incredible you just gotta love that voice how do you not let's listen some more this is a really cool song I I've heard several songs of theirs and they are all just as good as the last one if not better foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] that look on his face he just loves what he does [Music] I like this trumpet in this music it's it's one of those things where you know a trumpet fits easily into any style of music and they're using it so well here just to kind of offset everything that's going on in there if anybody knows the trumpet player's name I mean I'd appreciate it just leave that down in the comments let me know love in her voice her voice is awesome it Blends so well with Henning Mays this is a very fun song [Music] foreign [Music] I'm gonna stop right there I'm gonna go back a little bit here I did miss uh speak earlier uh about trumpet he's playing a flugelhorn and flugelhorn is something that got really made famous by Chuck Mangione back in the 70s and 80s and he was playing a lot of of flukelhorn solos and one of those actually made it up to number one um so it's not that weird that we hear a flugelhorn being like a solo instrument here this dude is really good you know he he's playing some really cool lines in there and then he's really kind of building up what he's doing here by adding some Grace notes and some really neat things and those Grace notes just those little flicks that he's doing just really kind of adds to that Melody that he's creating here with the flugel horn [Music] right there [Music] wow that was solid [Music] pictures [Music] run away [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] that movie what a pretty cool collaboration I'm going to back up here this song kind of gives me Vibes of Katrina and the waves Walking on Sunshine it just has that very positive vibe to it just such a fun song very upbeat very cool this solo that this guy played was incredible and just the way everything fit and then at the end when he played the little improvised line just finishing off the song very very cool let's listen to this ending again such a fun song it makes you want to dance
