[Music] fore speech [Music] find me yo what's up guys Toby from the master box show and I hope you're having a wonderful day today poison and Chaos that is the theme for today's build I was actually looking for a good poison Focus build for a few days now and all I found are just Wizards Sorcerers that use a few poison spells I was thinking more of a poison Mage that can poison and also stack debuffs has great mobility and damage to make enemies lives as miserable as possible just wanted to let you know guys I'll also be including timestamps below for you to easily jump into topics that you want to focus on for this video so here it is I present to you the poisoner this is going to be a really fun build Guys Without further Ado let's get into it all right here we are now guys in the character creation screen this is where we will be building the foundation of our poisoner for today we are just eyeing on One race that is most most optimal for the build which is the halfling the halfling is a really interesting race because it provides race features such as bra you get an advantages on saving throws against being frightened but the most important thing here is the luck when you roll a one for an attack roll ability check or saving throw you can reroll the die and must use the new roll for the subrace we are eyeing on the strong heart halfling because we get an advantages and saving throws against poison and has resistance of poison for the classes we are eyeing on the Warlock class aside from us getting proficiencies in simple weapons in light armor the Warlock also has one of the most powerful offensive C trips in the game in the form of the Elish blast and for the other can trips you can just go with blade Ward as is for the subass we are taking the great old one as it provides the subglass feature mul reminder whenever we land a critical hit against the creature the creature or any nearby enemies must succeed a wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of their turn for the Spells we'll just take one of the most important spells for the build which is the armor of agathi this will provide us five temporary hit points and deal five C damage on level one what's really cool thing about the armor of agath is that you can upcast it up to level five which is really really cool for the other one is the arms of Hadar this will prevent enemies from from taking actions for one turn and provide to D6 necrotic damage for the backgrounds there are two backgrounds that are really interesting for the build starting with the soldier the soldier will provide us with Athletics and intimidation proficiency skills while the noble will provide us history and persuasion skills I'll just go with the noble because persuasion is a really interesting skill to have most likely in dialogue if you're using this character as the face of the party for abilities we are prioritizing three abilities for today starting with Charisma Charisma will improve our spell casting as a warlock and also influence trade prices this will also be a really powerful modifier later on our build the second one is dexterity this will provide our initiative in AC we need as much AC and initiative as we can for us to activate our poison as early as possible and the third one is Constitution this will provide us stamina and physical endurance as well as our constitution check right after character creation jumping into level two of our warlock we just got our first set of eldrich invocation we are eyeing on the agonizing blast this will provide additional damage using our Charisma modifier and for the second one is we are selecting the repelling blast whenever we hit a creature with ELD blast we can push them up to 4.5 M away from us for the spell spells you can just get hex it is a really powerful spell that will provide additional 1d6 necrotic damage and disadvantage to the enemies as early as level three of our character we are going to be introducing another class to the mix in the form of the sorcerer aside from it being the most powerful magic Caster in the game we are eyeing on unlocking our second really powerful subass that we need for the build in the form of the draconic bloodline The draconic Blood Line will provide us with draconic resistance additional hit points as well as tankiness for AC but the most important thing here that we need is the dragon ancestor pertaining to the dragon ancestry we are eyeing on the draconic ancestry green that will provide us with poison resistances as well as the ray of sickness jumping into level four of our character which is level two or sorcerer we just unlock our first set of sorcery points as well as a few spell slots but the most important thing here is the class passives that we are using we are just eyeing on the twin spells and the distance spell for this level for the Spells highly advise you get the shield cuz it is the most important spell for any mage character level five of our character which is level three of our sorcerer we just unlock another class passive and the most important class passive that we need for the build which is the meta magic quick and spell this will provide us with our toggleable passive whenever we use a spell we can use our bonus action instead with just the cost of three sorcerer points for the Spells High advise you take M this step as early as possible level four of our sorcerer we just unlock another set of class feature as well as level two spell slots but the most important thing here is the feat for the feat we are eyeing on the alert feet this will grant us plus five bonus to our initiative and can't be surprised for spell you can just get any spell that you want I highly advise you just go with maybe cloud of daggers for the can trips we need any light source that we can so we are selecting dancing light level five of our sorcerer this is just going to be really straightforward unlocking another set of sorcer points and a level three spell slot for this level I highly advise you go with blink blink is a really interesting transmutation spell whenever we end our turn we roll a D20 on 11 or higher we back into the Eternal plane while there you can't be harmed or seen in this world means that whenever you are in the Eternal plane no enemies can attack you or Target you level six of our Sorcerer And level eight of our character we just unlock one of the most important subclass features that we need for the build in the form of the elemental Affinity damage when you cast a spell that deals the damage of the type associated with our dronic ancestry we add our Charisma modifier to the damage me meaning that whenever we use poison because we are more of a poison ancestry sort of sorcerer we deal an additional Charisma modifier to the damage that we will be dealing as well as Elemental Affinity basically provides us with resistances to the certain spell that is the same as our draconic ancestry which is poison level nine of our character we just unlock another set of class feature and a level four spell slots for this level four spells you can just get whatever you prefer I'll just get what utility spell that I need for the level level 10 of our character we just unlock again another setup class feature in the level four spell slot and the most important thing here is the feat we'll be taking ability Improvement for this level and dumping all of it to our Charisma and if you have the hair from anti-l this will most likely go to 20 Charisma for this level level 11 of our character we're now introduced ucing the last power Spike for our poisoner in the form of introducing another class to the mix such as the Druid the Druid is the thing that will provide us the powerful subclass that we need later on for the build not only that it gives us proficiencies with light armor region armor and shields it also provides us with can trips that is specific to the class finally level 12 our character we now unlock our final subclass that's very important for the build in the form of the circle of spores we also unlock subass features such as wild shape and wild shaping to any sort of animal that you want but we are not minding that because we need the symbiotic entity for this level this will provide us eight temporary hit points and deal additional 1 to six nuconic damage while we have the symbiotic entity active all right now I'm going to be showing you guys the item setup that we need for the build I'm going to be showcasing two builds for you guys today which is for the early game act one and act two and the other one is for the late game act three first up is the derivation cloak this will provide us with the passive deadly derivation when we poison a foe we heal oursel for 1 D4 hit points next one is the poisonous robe this will provide us with the passive poison Trails when the wearer cast a spell that deals poison damage we deal an additional one to four poison damage which is really cool third is the poisonous glove this will provide us the passive in venom whenever we deal poison damage the target needs to succeed a constitution saving throw or become poison next up are the Rings starting with the Callis glow ring this will provide us with the passive colus glow the we will deal an additional two points of damage again creatures are illuminated and finally the cross ring which provid US the passive Arcane Radiance when the wear deals spell damage while eliminated by a light source we inflict radiant orb upon a target for two turns now I'm going to showing you guys how we deal damage using our poisoner for the early game we just need a few setup to make this really effective we're going to be using light for us to activate our callous glow ring and our radiating orb charges that we will be dishing out later on whenever we can right after that is we are now dealing damage to our Target we always need to use poison spray to our Target for us to activate our cloak as well as our poisoners robe so this will deal an additional one to4 damage poison damage to our Target we'll just use our Target here for character as you see here we just dealt around damage of poison as well as radiating orb charges to our Target after succeeding turns after the enemy is poison we'll just keep on using elich PL to keep pumping out those radiating orb charges to the Target so I'll just for example use elich blast here as you notice we just set up another set of radiating orb charges to our Target now we're going to be talking about the act three builds that is the endgame build that we need to really optimize our poisoner we have a few items that I recommend that will make your poisoner as powerful as it can so starting with the birthright this is a really easy item to get especially in act three this will provide us with the additional two Carisma up to 22 next is the armor of the spor keeper this will provide us with the passive malefic fungi the wear will gain additional bonus to our spell save DC when dealing necrotic damage they deal additional one but the most important passive that we need here is the Spore sack while imbued with symbiotic entity we can spread spores to our enemies for the amulets I highly advise you get the Amulet of Greater Health basically this will just pump up our constitution to 23 now it's time for us to talk about the weapons so the weapons that is really mandatory for the build is the Marco Hesh K this is a legendary staff that will provide us with Arcane enchantment you will gain additional one bonus to our spell save DC and spell attack roles as well as a really powerful Iain battery which will will provide us with three spell Slots of our choosing every long rest but the most important thing here is the cresa favor this will provide us with an array of Elemental affinities that we can move into for us to be as powerful as we can in our case we will be moving into the poison section of that affinity for the shield you can just get any Shield that you want that will provide us with additional AC I'll just go with bonica's walking Fortress because it will grant us the posive rebuke of the mighty when the foe hits us with a melee attack we can use a reaction to deal 2 to8 Force damage and knock the enemy prone all right guys I'm now going to be showing you some active gameplay on how we properly utilize our poisoner after a long rest we need to activate our protection from Poison if you have a druid nearby or in your Camp you can just use them and cast protection from Poison what's really cool thing about this it lasts until long rest so you just need to do it once every long rest for us to get the benefits of this spell number two is we need to activate the symbiotic entity in my case I just activated it earlier and it will activate the passive from the armor of sporek keeper and don't forget to activate G's favor we are selecting from an array of Elemental abilities that we can get as well as some really amazing spell in my case I already activated it earlier and I selected the deadlier than arsonic this will provide us with a free cloud kill spell as well as a ray of sickness spell now we're almost ready we just need to activate our armor ragy this will provide us with an additional 25 temporary hit points plus 25 cold damage to any unfortunate enemy that hits us for as long as we upcast it to level five so we just activate to level five all right first of all we will be activating our Cloud kill for us to prep the battlefield to our favor so just use cloud kill in this turn so we just deal damage to the enemies now we're going to be repositioning our Cloud kills to a more favorable Advantage position so what's really cool about Cloud kill every single turn you have the ability to reposition this ability or this spell to make it as effective as possible in my case I will be putting up it are right in front of my enemies for me to deal additional damage to them just putting it here we just dealt an additional damage to our enemies and after that we could just deal additional damage by using our poison now they're dead [Music] now we're just repositioning our Cloud kill again to a more advantageous position I'll just put it here there the the additional damage to our enemies now we're going to be activating our haste Spore to get give us an additional attack to the enemy now we're going to be using our ELD blast we're going to need to spread as much radiating orb as we can to our enemies so we'll just select three targets now we just spread around two radiating orbs to our opponents as well as their poison and they have the cloud Hill debuff just ending our turn [Music] now we're going to be attacking with our poisoner again we're going to be spreading out eldri blast and using radiating orbs to provide disadvantages to our enemies again use this I just poison [Music] going to reposition the cloud kill again into a more advantageous position I'm just going to setting it up here [Music] just additional poison damage now I'm going to try to spread radiating orb again to my enemies is using the elrich [Music] blast just got one ELD blast in and we can end our [Music] [Music] turn now we're going to use another elwi blast to deal radiating orb damage to our opponents we just got radiating orb now we're just moving into another advantageous position for this turn now we just activated our blink this will provide us with basically immunity to any damage that the enemy just want to deal so as you see here we just activated blink to Eternal plane and we'll try to reposition ourselves into a more more advantageous position here if you notice guys we just blink to another location but we can still use our Cloud kill and dish out more damage in an AOE area so we'll just set up another Cloud kill here now we just deal damage and I think one enemy died with that after that we're just going to use our haste for first to deal additional damage if we can just going to use S [Music] blast okay turn and one oppenent just died now we moved into another set of astral plane as you see here the enemy can't attack us for as long as we are in the astal plane we'll just move here right on top of the haste and dish out and El glass for just good you want to have a really powerful poison build this is the poison build to be has amazing AOE damage able to dish out powerful Al Rich blast as well as create radiating orbs to provide additional
